It's simblr in a nutshell again. Simblr: Generative AI steals from artists, writers, and musicians. The server farms used for it use up a lot of electricity and water. And why are you using AI to create a Sims blog anyway? Curseforge funds the genocide in Gaza, stop using it. Stop downloading from it. InZOI Game: Here try our character creator. We will use generative AI in our build mode and we will have a partnership with Curseforge. Simblr: Ooooh, shiny! Look at my uncanny valley crossing and creepy af looking detailed hyper-realistic character. And everyone who voices concerns is a hater and mean party pooper. Let people enjoy things!

I wish real life academia was more like The Magnus Archives because I'd much rather face otherworldly evils than have my research blocked by INFINITE PAYWALLS. Jonathan Sims might've suffered immensely and nearly ended the world but at least he didn't have to cite inaccessible sources.

Had some extra time before work today and, against my better judgement, decided to peruse r/sims3. One of the top posts right now is someone who allegedly has 1000+ hours in the game and only just now discovered CAST. The picture, naturally, was taken with a phone. 🙄

And people wonder why I quit r/sims3. Last week, I even did a little experiment there and what I found tells me everything I need to know about the current state of that sub.

It used to be a nice place to post and hang out. Now it's a toxic cesspool of mean clique behavior such as downvoting everything with CC, calling people out for not using Maxis Match (tf?! is this Sims 4 all of a sudden?!), using ReShade, posting pictures of interactions from mods, or depicting their precious premades in a way they don't personally headcanon. And nobody knows how to take a fucking screenshot anymore. Almost every picture is a shot of someone's dirty monitor, diagonal, from someone's phone.

I don't know what happened to that place but I am so so so glad I jumped ship to Simblr when I did. This is a nice supportive community where I can post my stories and makeovers without being sniped at in the comments or downvoted to oblivion. That's literally all I ask for.

Keep being awesome, Simblr. Never become r/sims3.
