Useful TS3 shortcuts you might not know about - quickly copy and recolor! (GIF)

• Hold Shift while dragging a palette to recolor the entire floor or wall

• Ever get frustrated copying objects with an eyedropper? Hold Shift and place the selected object to copy it without loading it! Works in both Build or Buy modes, can copy Debug objects with no codes ;)

• Hold Shift and drag fence or wall tool to create a room; hold Ctrl to remove the wall or fence

These shortcuts have saved me lots of time! I rarely use both sledgehammer and eyedropper :) By the way, the support team has said that my tumblr is finally unbanned! Whew, let's see!

Thank you @riribbysims for asking me if I had any build tips/tricks and what my favorite builds are. I didn't want the video to run on too long so I kept my favorite builds out of this video, but I tried to come up with build tips that I think may be useful for anyone that either already builds or someone who might want to start building.

I do build more community lots than houses, but it's a little mixture of both.

Anyway, thanks to everyone else that has time to stop by and check out this really short Build Tips video I put together.

41 BUILD STYLES

Hey simmers, today I share with you my list of build styles I use. So most of these styles I have never built before. I put this list in a wheel spinner, you can copy and paste it in, then let the wheel spin and see what build style it lands on.

I usually search the build style on pinterest and then pick a design from there for my Sims 4 build. You can decide after the wheel has selected a style if it should be removed from the list or remain for a possible second build. Also you can save the wheel spin list in the top right corner of the website there is options then you do not have to keep putting the list in.

genuine question

i have a really strong urge to make a save file, but the thing is i suck at building. like, so bad. no matter what i do, everything ends up looking so boxy and i don't know how to fix it. so, i have 3 questions.

if i make a save file, am i allowed to use other simmers' builds in it? i'd credit them all, but i wasn't sure if that was like an unspoken rule or not

how does one make their builds less box-like??

I ran out of space for ulitities and laundry and came up with this. 🤔For some reason I always forget about basements so if you struggle with space in your townhomes like I did, try them out!

confession: i bulldozed juni’s entire lot (after saving all of her plants of course) because i had a lighting glitch i could NOT FIX that was driving me crazy. 😵‍💫

i really want to get better at building, but i worked so hard on that stupid cottage only to scrap it when that glitch happened 😤 so i downloaded a shell and now i’m working on a floor plan to decorate and it honestly makes me so happy!!! 🥹

soooo mayyyyyyybeeeeeee the moral of the story is just play however works for you and don’t let a struggle get in the way of a storyline??? 🙃
