I don't really have a specific genre of poetry I like... but a few points on the poets I currently like:

Walt Whitman - I mostly heard a few of his poems in one of my favourite films of all time, Dead Poets Society, which was shown to me in my highschool Advanced English class. So I grew to be fond of some of his poems featured in that film as well as a few others I discovered on my own.

John Clare - Much like Walt Whitman I heard a few of John Clare's poems recited in the TV show Penny Dreadful, a big time favourite show of mine I revisit every year. So I became curious about romantic poetry through that show and discovered more of his poems in my own time online.

T.S Eliot - I studied a fair few of T.S Eliot's poems in my highschool Advanced English class. Through his poetry I grew fascinated by the darker more modern themes and imagery he addressed and painted in his poems.

I literally made this as like a low-key rant diary/Void to scream my interests & thoughts because life,years of trauma,& damn near crippling anxiety has fucked up my social skills & I just need an outlet. This will be a challenge based solely on Studio Ghibli movies! Well, some of them at least! This was made assuming that DLCs such as Vampires, Island Living and various others are owned by the player! If that is not the case, no problem! You can adjust the rules of the challenge depending on how you can play your game! If you have no StrangerVille but Get To Work instead then you can have Nausicaä become a police officer or scientist or even doctor instead! The 1st Generation of this Challenge will be based on Nausicaä! And what better way to show this strong princess‘ skills and help her prevent the destruction of two nations and her planet than to stop whatever is happeninv in StrangerVille?

Your Goal:

Despite being a princess, since this is the first generation you will start from the very bottom. You must first earn a reputation and have enough funds to even tackle the horrors that await you in the future. As such your mission is to…

- Make at least 5 friends and 1 best friend that you can only meet in StrangerVille.

- Raise your charisma skill to at least lvl 4, logic to lvl 3 and fitness to lvl 5

- Join the Military as a means to „gain access“ to the secret lab once you have reached those skill lvls

- Now you must uncover the secrets of StrangerVille and save the town

- Romance is optional, however, you must have one child to carry on the child.

- Raise the baby until it reaches the stage of a child and you can continue with Gen 2.

Gen 2: Castle in The Sky

Character: Sheeta

Extra Characters: Colonel Musk, Dola, Motro, Louis, Charles and Henri

„A young boy and a girl with a magic crystal must race against pirates and foreign agents in a search for a legendary floating castle.“

Traits: Paranoid (Child) -> Loner (Teen) -> Perfectionist (Young Adult)

Aspiration: Whiz Kid (Child) -> Archaeology Scholar (Teen/Young Adult)

Your Goal:

Originally you grew up alongside your mother Nausicaä, however, tragedy would soon strike when you became an orphan and were left to fend for yourself at your home in StrangerVille… until you were captured by a man known as Colonel Muska and taken away by him from your home. As such, growing up in such a situation is not easy at all and your goal is to change these things!

- You will spend a long time growing up under Colonel Muska’s watchful eye. As such you are unable to leave the house unless it is together with him or when you have to go to school.

- You are unable to make any friends nor can you use a phone or pc to communicate with the outside world. If you are caught by Colonel Muska, he and Sheeta will have to argue about it.

- As a child you should do your best to max out your Mental or Creativity Skill since it is otherwise hard to max out Motor and Social skills with Colonel Musk around.

- Once you have maxed out one of these skills (or both) things seem to slowly get better when the „Dola Gang“ finally appear in the hideout Colonel Musk has kept you hidden for so long. You must either approach Dola, her husband Motro or one of her sons (Louis, Charles or Henri), once you have done so, they will take you away and take you to their home.

- Due to them all being in the Criminal Career, you should still work hard to befriend all of them. Which means you should socialize with each one of the Dola Gang members and become close to them.

- Once you become a teen and have won over the trust of the Dola Gang (maxed relationship with all of them), you can finally travel to Selvadorada with them because as it turns out you are the key to exploring the various secrets the ruins there hold. Your new goal is to explore all of Selvadorada (or „Laputa“ if we want to stay close to Studio Ghibli with the name) and uncover all the truths about it there are.

- Max out the Archeaology Aspiration and you have completed the main goals of this generation.

- To carry on the legacy, help Sheeta find love and have two daughters with them.

Gen 3: My Neighbor Totoro

Character: Satsuki (Older Sister), Mei (Younger Sister)

„When two girls move to the country to be near their ailing mother, they have adventures with the wondrous forest spirits who live nearby.“

Traits: Neat, Hot-headed, Family-Oriented (Satsuki) & Childish, Goofball, Cheerful (Mei)

Aspiration: Inner Peace (Satsuki) & Friend of the Animals (Mei)

Your Goal:

This time it will be a little harder because this Generation will be centered around two characters. You will be playing both Satsuki and Mei from „My Neighbor Totoro“. However, their challenge only starts once Satsuki is a young adult and Mei is a teen or also a young adult - you get to decide which age Mei should have for this.

- Growing up under the loving care of your parents, both you and your sister are finally ready to tackle life. However, things are not always as easy and simple as they seem. As such, you begin your journey moving out of your family home together and move to a new lot which must have the traits Spooky, Island Spirits and Gnomes.

- Due to Mei being a Childish Sim, whenever you play as Satsuki you have to make sure that she is taken care of well. As such you have to make sure to use your funds well to help Satsuki complete Mei’s whims at times – only the ones based on positive moods that have to do with buying things or are related to spending time with Satsuki.

- You should ensure that both sisters enjoy a fun activity together outside of their home on other lots at least twice every week minimum!

- Mei loves animals greatly, so whenever you come across one playing as her or see one nearby, make sure she befriends them. Once she has befriended at least three animals she can begin adopting two animals which are meant to represent Totoro and Catbus.

- Both Mei and Satsuki must interact with the ghosts and Island spirits on their lot whenever they come across them. While Satsuki will behave more warily at first, both she and Mei should eventually grow to befriend them.

- Because of her hot-headed nature, make sure that Satsuki completes her aspiration so she can also find time to relax and enjoy herself. Mei’s can also be completed, however, that one is optional.

- Due to the sisters being very close, if one of them finds a romantic interest you cannot control how the other sister interacts with that Sim. If they do not like the partner of their sister, then you can either only help that Sim and the specific sister get along with only Satsuki or Mei (depending on who is currently seeing someone) or have to risk there being slight issues in the future.

- Once all that is done, you can choose either Mei or Satsuki to continue on the legacy!

Gen 4: Kiki’s Delivery Service

Character: Kiki

„A young witch, on her mandatory year of independent life, finds fitting into a new community difficult while she supports herself by running an air courier service.“

Traits: Adventerous, Outgoing, Ambitious

Aspiration: Spellcraft & Sorcery

Your Goal:

As a young witch in the making it is not easy to finally move out of home and start making a living with your magic skills! However, you are not someone to easily give up and as such you start your journey on becoming a powerful witch that everyone can rely on when they need you to deliver a potion or two to them.

- Make sure that Kiki is registered as Self-Employed and that as a „Witch“ upon moving to her new place and then proceed to get her a black cat named Jiji as your familiar.

- Living now in your new home, it is time for you to figure out how to make a living as a witch. Make sure to continously raise your skills as a Spellcaster, start making potions and lvl up your skills as a Medium.

- Make sure to befriend at least one of your new neighbors until you are close friends.

- Ensure you have a table to sell your potions with anywhere you go, this will be your means to earn money. As such it is necessary to safe your earnings rather than spend them too soon.

- Once you have enough money, get a broom to travel with considering it is one of Kiki’s key features and only further helps establish you as a witch.

- You have to make at least 20k Simoleons from selling your potions, only then will you have established yourself as a proper Witch in Kiki’s neighborhood.

- Now it is time to befriend another Spellcaster. Try to find one and get close to them and help each other grow more in terms of magic and power.

- After having finally become the witch you’ve always aspired to be, it is time to continue the legacy! It is not mandatory for Kiki to have a partner, but it is an option.

Gen 5: Whisper of The Heart

Character: Shizuku

„A love story between a girl who loves reading books, and a boy who has previously checked out all of the library books she chooses.“

Traits: Bookworm, Music Lover (Teen)

Aspiration: Bestselling Author

Your Goal:

In this generation you will be playing Shizuku – the protagonist of „Whisper of The Heart“ – and your ultimate goal is to write a novel and even lyrics to a song. However, you will also end up finding love with someone you may have not gotten along well with at first.

- Shizuku enjoys books greatly, as such she must read at least one book every day.

- Singing and writing are important skills Shizuku will need to accomplish her goals. She must first max out both of these skills before you can proceed with the next step.

- Upon maxing out the Singing skill, it is time to write a song – can also just be a children’s book – and name it „Country Roads“ because that was the song Shizuku wrote alternative lyrics to in the movie.

- After that begin to write a novel called „Whisper of The Heart“, however, if Shizuku stops to do other things in the middle of it you cannot make her stop. You can only write on the novel when she herself is currently not doing anything else.

- Due to this also being a love story, make sure to also be on the lookout for Shizuku’s future love interest. What is important for them is that they need to be skilled at playing the Violin like her actual love interest – Seiji – in the movie.

- However, just like in the movie, your relationship will first be off on a rocky start: Both of them must start off on slightly bad terms at first, then become friends and finally you can start to help them become lovers. But this mustn’t happen in just a single day. Make sure they dislike each other at first, then have it stay like that for a day, proceed to use the next few Sim days to make them friends and then you can start to have them fall in love.

- After having gone on two dates with your new love interest, you can finally start dating them.

- The final goal left is to now complete Shizuku’s aspiration for good.

- Once she and her partner have grown up as young adults you can continue on with their romance, have them get married and proceed to carry on the legacy.

Gen 6: Princess Mononoke

Character: Ashitaka

Extra Character: San (Mononoke)

„On a journey to find the cure for a Tatarigami's curse, Ashitaka finds himself in the middle of a war between the forest gods and Tatara, a mining colony. In this quest he also meets San, the Mononoke Hime.“

Traits: Good, Proper, Active

Aspiration: Good Vampire

Your Goal:

You might perhaps be wondering why the aspiration is „Good Vampire“… And that is where the curse Ashitaka finds himself with comes in. So, shall we get to what you must do in this generation?

- Before the „curse“ situation begins, it is first time to gain some skills! Make sure your fitness skill is at least lvl 5 and your charisma is lvl 4!

- Once you have done so, study as much as you can about vampires until there is nothing new anymore for you to learn.

- Now it is time to go out and truly meet these creatures of the night… and unwillingly get turned into one yourself.

- Upon becoming a vampire, your goal as Ashitaka is basically to regain your humanity – or at least what’s left of it. As such you must now begin to complete the Aspiration.

- During your journey you will also end up meeting a human girl you will come to know as San who was raised by an occult Sim – can also be a random Sim or someone else, the character of San is completely optional. Make sure to get to know them and perhaps even fall in love.

- Knowing how many evil vampires there are in the world, it is time to change things for the better. Make sure to become the most powerful vampire and rule them into times of peace!

- After you have done this, you must carry on the legacy. However, this can only be done with a human child in this case. If you have vampire children then you must continue to have more until a human child is born – if necessary adoption is also possible.

Gen 7: Spirited Away

Character: Chihiro (Child)

Extra Character: Yubaba

„During her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches, and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts.“

Traits: Gloomy or Self-assured

Aspiration: Optional

Your Goal:

This is a generation that will solely focus on your experiences as a child. Now that you are Chihiro, it is time to further delve into the world of the occult in the world of Sims. And since you have gotten „spirited away“ it is time for you and your family to take this journey to Glimmerbrook.

- This Gen is a little more easy… depending on how you play. Because you will be moved out of your family’s home and be put under the care of a Spellcaster – can be the character Yubaba.

- Now under that Spellcaster’s care, you must work hard in order to protect and save your parents from an otherwise cruel fate at the hands of that Sim. As such you have to ensure to do as many chores as possible in the house and avoid getting negative reactions from the Spellcaster.

- Due to there not being the option for running a bathhouse, the Spellcaster will instead run a restaurant or a store. Your character will always come along to that place, even if it means neglecting homework etc. There you have to speak with customers and ensure they all have fun at the restaurant.

- Despite it being hard to do homework, you must still do well in school. You also have to max out all skills as a child along with completing the aspiration you chose for Chihiro.

- Once that is done you can finally leave the Spellcaster one day before Chihiro becomes a teenager and be reunited with your parents.

- After this you are free to play however you want.

Optional Generations:

- Howl’s Moving Castle:

Create Sophie and Howl. Ensure Howl is a powerful Spellcaster and help Sophie find her place in the world by opening a store with her that allows her to sell clothes or flowers. They must both first complete different aspirations before then both complete the Soulmate aspiration together.

- Ponyo:

Create a mermaid and name her Ponyo. Her ultimate goal is to live among humans after falling in love with one of them. Help her befriend as many humans as possible, experience human life to the fullest and perhaps even help her also save the Ocean by cleaning up Sulani!
