At the recreation center, Elyas bumped into a childhood friend, Stacius Harris. They were inseparable as children, but as teenagers, having to transition into the harsh world of adulthood, they had lost contact. Elyas had met Sarah, and knowing he had to do what was expected of him he married her. But he felt he needed to tell her that he... didn't experience romantic feelings for her that way.

There was only one person he'd ever felt that way for. And seeing him again, all those childhood feelings came rushing back to him. Sarah said she would be for him no matter what, even when he told her that he preferred men, so he knew she wouldn't fault him for this.

But he couldn't help but feel the guilt weighing on him. Not only was he betraying Sarah, who he loved like a best friend, but he was taught these feelings were wrong. A moral failing. He could suffer serious consequences were he to act on them, even if Sarah accepted him despite it.

To put it simply, he was in a bind.

This entire experience has strengthened my faith so much. I had no idea it was possible to feel as grateful, humbled, and obedient to Beelzebeef as I do right now. I can see now that my years of infertility was just another stumbling block on my journey towards serving Her; a way for Beelzebeef to call out to me and bring me closer. I wasn’t living to fully glorify Her and the only way She could show me was to hold back the blessing I so selfishly craved. Now I’ve traversed that rocky terrain and She has honored me twice over. I’m so happy to serve a God as generous and forgiving as Beelzebeef!

Secondly, there is a new cheat that allows you to remove twin status for many sims at once. You can find it in mailbox cheats:

The cheat removes all twin relationships a sim has. So if you want to keep some of them, you should remove it with this cheat and manually add thouse you want by sim cheats.

16.07.2024 UPDATE For Secrets package: Small fix when sharing innermost thoughts interaction doesn't appear Finally finished the mod for identical and fraternal twins! In fact, this is where I started my modding journey - the early scripts for this mod were written a year ago. And yes, I was inspired by the Sonozaki Twins, hence the appropriate nickname x)

This mod automatically recognizes identical and fraternal twins among siblings of the same age in the households being played. The script for automatic recognition runs only in two cases: when loading the game and when a newborn grows into an infant - that is, it loads the game minimally! Gender-different twins and just not similar enough will get the following twin status:

(Yes, these are my beloved twins in my legacy <3) Unlike identical twins, interactions such as "Arguing about uniqueness" and "Pretending to be a twin" are not available to them:

But they also get a special mudlet when they do a school project together:

And being good friends, they can share special secrets and get reactions:

This section of the mod is the largest: it currently has about 30 secrets that are available depending on preferences, character traits, lifestyle, career, and relationships. There's even a special secret for when twins are in love with the same sim x)

The twin's reactions (both positive and negative) also depend on the personality - I tried to make these secrets as close to your sims as possible!

In addition, they will not constantly tell the same thing to each other: firstly, you can tell a secret once every 3-4 days; secondly, already told secrets will not be repeated as long as the circumstances remain the same.

Right now, some secrets are available with Lumpinou's Relationships & Pregnancy Overhaul installed (specifically the M1, M7, and M9 modules). But if you want compatibility with any other mods, by all means tell me! So far, plans are in the works to add secrets with pets, as well as secrets with occult exposure for the Secret Occults by JaneSimsten.

However!!! Keep in mind that even sims-generated monozygotic twins still have differences in genetics - and therefore I couldn't just take two values and compare them, so I added the required percentage of similarity of features and a minimum threshold for appearance to be considered the same.

Also, it's hardly possible to extract specific hair or eye color values from this list (at least, I haven't found a way to do it yet - but I'll keep trying!), so it's possible that your sims may be assigned the wrong status or not assigned at all.

Also, when life expectancy changes (or auto-aging is turned off), the sims may count the exact age of the sims differently, so auto-assignment won't always work correctly.

Don't panic! For this case, and just in case you want to cast twins, I've added cheats in the Cheat Sim Info section where you can control this status:

In the future I'm going to add more secrets, pranks, special moodlets when grieving, and the ability to raise school grades for another twin. But I'm always open to suggestions - especially for this mod, I really like it <3

When I made "Lunar" someone asked for a legacy challenge for human sims. So I finally wrote one!

Since some people don't like big legacies because it takes forever to finish, I made another small legacy! Only 5 gens.

If you know my stories from twitter or my "pamsimmerstories" you know I usually use a lot of adult themes and this is not different, so be aware this can be a little dark.

Generation 1: “Dandelions” by Ruth B.

You moved from your parents to live in a big city and go to your dream college (San Myshuno Institute)*. You’ve always wanted to be a doctor/veterinarian and this was finally happening!

One day you met the love of your life in between classes (preferably someone you met that is also at uni) you get married, but one day you caught them cheating and you feel like this is the end of the world.

So you leave everything and go to Henford on Bagley and become a farmer. You meet someone that makes you open up again and you two have a beautiful family.

*if you don’t want to use mods like the ”Long Distance Learning” by Ravasheen, you can just pretend you’re going there living in San Myshuno

Traits: Good, Animal Enthusiast/Loves the Outdoors, The last one you pick, to make things interesting, pick a bad trait like high maintenance

Career: Start as University Student in San Myshuno (you can finish it and start the career or you can just drop university in the middle of your term); End up as a farmer in Henford

Hobby: Cross-Stitch or Knitting

Aspiration: Country Caretaker

Relationship: fall in love at university, get cheated on, runaway to Henford and meet someone new. You can have children with the first one if you want to or you can wait until you meet the second sim. It’s up to you.

Generation 2: “High” by Miley Cyrus

You grew up in the middle of a bunch of animals, your parent was a nature freak and you became one as well. But your kind of animal is a bit different from your parent. You love horses and you dream in live at Chestnut Ridge and have your own horse and participate in competitions and earn money from it.

You find love, but when your wife is giving birth to your baby, she dies (your sim could be a woman and you use cheats to make her pregnant and if you don’t use mods as RPO/Pandasama you can also cheat to kill the sim).

So you see yourself as a single parent juggling between parenting and taking care of your horse and participating of competitions.

Traits: Horse Lover, Rancher, the last trait you choose.

Hobby: Painting/Nectar Making

Aspiration: Championship Rider

Relationship: Meet someone, become a widow/er. You can find love again if you wish.

Generation 3: “No Love In LA” by Palaye Royale

When you were born your mother died and you never met her. Your other parent was always busy with his horses and competitions that you now hate Chestnut.

You want more for your life. As soon as you age up, you go to Del Sol Valley and you’re finally able to follow your dream of becoming a star! You want to be a famous actor/actress. But not everything is like you thought it would be, you thought you would become a 5 star celebrity quickier than you did. But you never give up.

Find a celebrity and get married to them just for fame (I guess you’re gonna need cheats for them to meet).

You'll need the full name of your Sim and the celebrity Sim (or vice versa). If it doesn't work, try " LTR_Friendship_Main" at the end.] (I also never tested this one...but in case you don't have mods, try this)

One day you’re gonna meet someone who’s a nobody and fall in love, you’re gonna cheat on your partner and get pregnant/get someone pregnant.

You have two choices:

leave your spouse and be with your love or

stay in a unhappy marriage and pretend the cheating never happened (if your sim is a male, never talk to the pregnant sim again and one day a child shows up at your door, this is gonna be the heir. And if your sims is a female, pretend the kid is your husband’s child. It doesn’t matter, you’re gonna fail as a parent no matter what).

Traits: Self-Assured, Ambitious, and a bad trait of your choosing

Career: Actor

Skills: Acting, Dancing, Photography

Hobby: Photography and also dancing, go to nightclubs often, drink a lot (if you don’t play with mods pretend your sims is an alcoholic, if you play with mods like basemental your sim is definitely an alcoholic and maybe had a drug addiction, let’s go dark here)

Aspiration: Master Actor

Relationship: Marry for fame and cheat on your partner and get pregnant of impregnate someone this is how your heir is gonna be made.

Color: Red

Generation 4: “Flares” by The Script

Your parent should never be a parent.

You grew up in a spolight because of your parent, but you hate it. Everything is so fucked up and you just want to run away as far as possible.

When you become a teen, you're going to run away from home and go to Mt Komorebi, drop from school and work in a part time job.

To scape your own mind you start a few hobbies such as snowboarding/skiing/climbing.

When you’re young adult you meet someone while doing one of those things and you two fall in love. You two start a family and are very happy.

Traits: Adventurous, Loner, and a trait of your preference

Career: Teen: Part Time Job; Young Adult: Salaryperson

The heir must always be a vampire, either biological, adopted or turned.

If the vampire has a career, they must always be a night shift or work from home.

You must start on an empty lot with absolutely nothing to your name, you may build a small shack. But no bigger than 32 tiles

You may opt to have additional challenges with lot challenges, use any that you feel would apply.

You may use any custom careers or mods that allow you to choose a night shift.

Whether you have just been turned into a vampire or where always one, you are now left alone on an empty lot, with nothing to your name, for now at least.

Aspiration: Vampire Family

Skills: Pipe Organ

Vampire Powers: Vampire Creation, Bat Form and Command

Vampire Weakness: Day Phobia, Sleep of the Undead

Goal: fully train your heir to be a master, marry another vampire, only date other vampires, vampires can be your only friend, any human, spellcaster or mermaid sim are food.

Gen 2: The Charmer

You have always looked out the window wishing to be able to be with all the other kids, but unfortunately you are stuck here, being taught how to lead the next generation of vampires. But it won’t hurt to test some waters.

Aspiration: Soulmate, Serial Romance, or Villainous Valentine

Skill: Charisma, Romance (road to romance mod, optional), and Dancing

Vampire Powers: Occult Disciple (level 2), Vampiric Fascination (Level 3), Perfect Sun Resistance, Odorless, Detect Personality

Vampire Weaknesses: Withered Stomach, Insatiable Thirst

Goal: Have dated at least 3 other sims, vampire or not. Have a forbidden love (optional requires werewolves)

Gen 3: The Librarian

While your parent has been going around bringing home all different types of people, you have spent most of your time locked away reading, as you got older you started to get more curious about your vampiric heritage and what means. You started collecting books on the history of vampires, and even started writing your own stories.

Aspiration: Master Vampire

Skill: Logic, Vampire Lore, Writing

Vampire Powers: Occult Master, Master of Darkness, Suppressed Emotions, Mist Form

Vampire Weaknesses: Nightmarish Sleep, Flammable Skin

Goal: Marry your high school sweetheart, make all your money off the books you have written only

Gen 4: The Gardener

You have always hated just sitting still and nature has always called to you. However, you can’t really go outside, so you pretty much dedicated yourself to your own greenhouse, practically live in it.

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Skill: Gardening, Mixology, Cooking

Vampire Powers: Cast Hallucination, Garlic Immunity, Manipulate Life force.

Vampire Weaknesses: Sloppy Drinker, Guilty Drinker

Goals: Grow Wolfbane and plasma fruit, be a single parent but only take care of the bare minimum.

Gen 5: The Reclusive

You have been isolated from not just the rest of the world, but your family as well, living in the dark never to see the light of day. At first you were making friends, but you can no longer seem to stay in contact or able to keep them. You wonder if they were even your friends at all.

Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire, or Musical Genius

Skill: Painting (or any instrument)

Vampire Powers: Cast Hallucination, Beyond the Herd, Deadened Emotions (or child of the moon)

Vampire Weaknesses: Undead Aura, Uncontrollable hissing, Eternal Sadness (only if you don’t have deadened emotions)

Goal: Completely isolate yourself, Once the sim becomes a young adult you may not make any more friends. If you wish to continue the legacy, you may have one child, but you must not socialize with the child.

Note: I usually play with RPO so these settings are acomodated to that. I also only have pregnancies occur usually between sims of different sexes and same sex sims I have them adopt or try artificial insimination through RPO's options. Keep in mind that if also using RPO that are certain settings that will be overwritten (fertility percentage, for example).

Storytelling Secrets

Hah, I hadn’t realized this was a pass-it-on type of thing until I was looking back at @townsenddecades’s posts. Considering I’m still sorta finishing up the next few UDC posts, take this as a treat!

1. Originally, I had a story in mind for Marci and Gloria to come together to solve their differences and stuff, but I had procrastinated for far too long, and, well, it never happened. Along with that, it’s also why it’s taken so long for Dayana to marry — I just got absorbed in the Kensington’s day-to-day life and neglected my side households. Dayana’s plot line was supposed to start in 1302, where she was initially supposed to be sixteen at the time until I pushed it back.

2. I’ve been keeping news on the royal family pretty vague (cough, King ‘Edworth’ and Queen ‘Isabel’) so as not to lock myself into replicating the actual shenanigans happening during the 1310s. Nonetheless, things are happening behind the scenes that I just don’t feel fit the story right now. By the 1320s, however, the family will definitely be mentioned in detail - just by very morbid news. As of right now, though? The Crown Prince has just married a noblewoman, and his parents are multiplying children like crazy given I haven’t applied any birth rolls to them.

3. Speaking of the royal family, my thought process for Kurtis’ latest knight tournament was that it was brought together in celebration of Queen Isabel’s 16th birthday. Luckily, I had thought far enough to not write that down, because the in-game royal family really doesn’t have a damn thing to do with Isabella or Edward the II.

4. Kerstan Lassiter never existed. When I first started UDC, I had very surface-level teachings of the medieval times, so I wasn’t really following the most realistic situations for my sims. This is the main reason why I have little to no pictures outside of big events. 1) I had never expected to start blogging so I barely screenshots. 2) A lot of development for the side households never happened in-game and was only recently written down for a more coherent story. Trying to justify little things unthought of back then has been pretty fun, though! I literally rethought the (Gen 0) Lottway’s entire backstory just to justify Kurtis’ existence as a knight.

5. Though Lord Kerstan doesn’t exist, his son does. I don’t think it was well explained in my 1310 Kensington post, but after his death, Samir Lassiter - in his early 20s - takes his father’s place. Like the royal family, he won’t have a role to play until after the Great Famine, when he decides to show his face a lot more often. Spoilers, he’s very much an asshole.

6. I don’t know if I’ll ever mention this in Lottway posts but, funnily enough, there was a period of time when Kurtis and Casandra would visit the Kensingtons constantly by themselves. Anytime Casandra visited at the same time as Kurtis? Kurtis decided to leave. It’s actually why I’ve interpreted their relationship as a downward spiral. To make matters worse for the Lottways, per the RPO mod, Kurtis initially never wanted kids, and therefore, Brynn was born as an unwanted child. Yet, one day, after updating the mod, everyone’s thoughts on children refreshed which left Kurtis’ opinion on having kids neutral, AKA leaving Brynn as literally the only child he did not want.
