La Galerie des Cotelles Set

At the very moment when Louis XIV wrote the first version of 《Manière de montre les jardins de Versailles》, he expressed his desire to recreate his words as images.

In 1688, he comissioned an outstanding set of 24 paintings describing the different groves in gardens with mythological allegories to be placed in the galerie at the Trianon de Marbre.

The ornamentation of the gallery linking Trianon to Trianon-sous-bois was entrusted to three painters between 1688 and 1689: Jean Cotelle painted twenty-one of the twenty-four canvases hung in this room, Etienne Allegrain two others, and Jean-Baptiste Martin.

This gallery, decorated around 1690, bears the name of the author of most of the paintings which appear there and which represent views of the groves of Versailles and Trianon, embellished with mythological figures.

This set remained in place until the First Empire. Napoleon I considered replacing them with paintings to his glory. The works will return to their original location in 1913 after being restored to 《La Colection Royale》 by Louis Philippe and can be seen there to this day.

My Fair Lady: Hungarian Noble Lady Set

Hi, lovelies it's been a while since I've posted cc, but nonetheless, I'm back and here I have a baroque/rococo-themed Hungarian Noble set for y'all.

The items in this set are textures taken from the wardrobes of Hungarian noblewomen. This one is from Countess Orsolya Esterhazy of Galantha. I'm sure some of you have seen some of her dresses before

The Esterhazy family was extremely rich and affluent, and one of their castles in Hungary was known as the 'Hungarian Versailles'. This style of dress (1650-1750) as seen above took heavy influence from Spanish culture, and Hungarian noblewomen were glad to wear this style of dress every day, not only for special court functions, but to show their status. Headdresses were symbols of family status, women wore decorated bonnets to cover their hair, and young, unmarried girls wore partas (which I have the meshes for but couldn't get to work properly).

Another texture is from the Hungarian Transylvanian era and is believed to be from the dress of Catherine of Brandenburg, who was elected Princess due to her marriage to Gabriel Bethlen.

Another dress texture is believed to have belonged to Baroness Dersffy Orsolya from around 1610.

Other textures included are from a 1750s Hungarian Court Gown, one worn by Countess Stephanie Majlath in 1867, a Gold and Green ladies' robe from the 1900s, and a pale green ladies' robe from the 1900s. I have pasted all of these though to a baroque/rococo style mesh as their textures suit them anyway.

I used mesh pieces from @acanthus-sims and @buzzardly28 for the dresses, courtesy of maya40 for her beautiful textures and for being so kind to provide me with information and history on her country.

In this set, you are getting 7 dresses (each ranging from about 13k-15k in polygons, sorry), 1 bonnet mesh from cynnix which was retextured by maya40 to match these dresses (multiple swatches), a 1660s bonnet with 3 swatches from maya40, 2 Hungarian veils retextured by maya40, mesh originally by cynnix, 1 baroque lace collar with 3 swatches found in glasses category (mesh by maya40, textures by me), and 1 Hungarian laced bonnet by maya40 with 3 swatches. All of this is BGC, and when downloading please read my TOU.

San Myshuno Conservatory

Okay so this was a lot i made for fun im not really a builder but this greenhouse set by @lilis-palace was right up my alley n i wanted something a bit fantastical 2 get my sims out of the house! I made it to be placed in the central park lot in San My, inside I put a lot of King palms and a little section for macaws to sit n perch. At night the rose fountain lights up with fireflies and trellises in back are lit with strings of light attached to the ivy. It's so magical I love taking pcitures of my sims here. I included what I could of the cc i used, the elephant statue is a bit high poly so fair warning!

I did my best to respect everyone's T.O.U but if i made a mistake please dm me to fix it. Thank you to all the cc-creators who made this build possible <3

After a lot of hard work, we have finally finished making our Versailles CC set.

Ever since the Sims 4 first came out me and Anna have always wanted a Versailles CC build set in the game. After learning many new CC creation techniques together over the last few months, we decided to attempt a Versailles set of our own.

Now simmers can build an accurate Version of this very popular and beautiful palace.

This set includes

Part II C the larger paintings and the early furniture

Painted by Domenichino(fig 30) in the early 17th century it depicts saint Cecile playing cello while looking at the sky with a angel under the traits of an infant holding her partition. The artist chose to depict the saint wearing an outfit contemporary the artist’s life, which would have been anachronistic for a saint who live in the 3rd century. The painting was sold by Jabach to Louis XIV in 1662[22] and was placed, according to Piganiol, on the unique fireplace of the time on the southern wall.

Painted by Domenichino (fig 31)around the same time as the painting previously discussed, it depicts King Davis paying the harp. Just like in the saint Cecile’s painting the main protagonist is assisted by an angel depicted as young boy holding the partition, while he is looking at the sky. But unlike the previous painting, in which background is dark, the one in the King David painting appears to follow the code of a state portrait : with a tapestries with golden fringes filling the upper right corner, and a column displayed on the left. It was purchased by Louis XIV to the heir of Mazarin in 1665[23].

2.3 The Furniture

The 1684 winter set :

The 20th of November 1684 a large delivery of furniture is registered for the royal apartments in Versailles. Several sets of crimson velvet are placed in the King’s apartment. In the room where the King dresses the delivery mentions two armchairs, 16 stools 8 portiere tapestries covered in crimson velvet with gold fringes, and braids, registered under the number 1109[24](fig 32)while no specific seasonal use is mentioned it is nevertheless possible infer that the set in question was meant to used for winter, as the table cloth and daybed delivered alongside for the council cabinet under the number 1103[25], is, as late as 1740[26], still mentioned in said cabinet and used as a winter set, probably until 1749[27]. 

The 1700 summer set :

In May 1700, Doublet delivered three new summer sets for King’s apartment under the numbers 1870,1871 and 1872, the set destined for the central salon, the 1870(fig 33), contained :

-8 portiere tapestries made of 3 pieces of brocade each

-3 armchairs and 12 folding stools covered in brocade, with gold fringes and braids, with their wood sculpted and gilded [28]

The brocade in question was described as “silver background brocade, with flowers embroidered in gold and silver, contoured with silk of different colors, with gold braids at the edge and taffeta lining.”[29], the brocade discharge includes several brocades with silver background used by doublet when making the upholsteries and portieres for those three sets. The 6th brocade listed is the one used for the confection of set 1870, its description goes as follow  :”brocade from Lyon with silver background, flowers patterns of gold and silver surrounded by thin contours of red, green and purple silk”[30], the descrition is almost identical to the original but includes however the specific colors used for the outline of the silver and gold raised patterns, the origin of that brocade can be traced to a delivery from the 12th of June 1698, initially destined for the royal chapel in Versailles, and who was given at the time the number 135[31].

Hi, I’m back!

Life has been getting in the way of me playing Sims, in the best way. I’ve been traveling with my fiancé and visiting friends. We spent a few weeks in Paris and got to see Versailles which has always been one of my dreams. Then I came home to go to one of the final shows of the Eras tour. (I cried like a baby at both) I can honestly say 2024 has been the best year of my life so far and I want to thank all of you for being a part of that ❤️ Since it’s been a minute, I'm gonna spend the next week doing a little reblog recap before we start generation 3. Next week we begin the new year and a new generation with the vote for Alice’s spouse!

Hi, do you think that there’s any way to make really tall windows actually work in the sims 3 like how there’s an option in the sims 4. Would that ever be possible? Specifically when we do builds that use contrainfloorelevation false to raise the wall levels much higher, the regular windows (even the windows that are made from top of wall to the bottom) still look so small when elevating the wall height. It’s so sad we cannot have bigger windows or even doors that are taller than standard wall height. So I was wondering do you think there’s any way like any way to try to mod the script/code or whatever of the standard walls tool to be able to allow larger cc windows fit taller custom heights? Oh, hrm... So I've done something similar in a unity game before, so i'm just guessing the technique TS3 uses is the same.

I don't think it will work, unfortunately. You'd have to somehow change the code that handles the mask detection once the window hits the wall (if that makes sense), to also have the second floor detect that. That code is actually in the engine part of the game (which no one has been able to reverse engineer...)

Sorry for the delay! This week I bring you a new decorative object!

These rugs were created by either La Savonnerie or Aubusson manufactures, two prominent and luxurious rugs, upholstery and tapestry manufactures stablished in france during the Ancien Régime.

The set contains 18 swatches in many styles, ranging from Louis XIV to late victorian, in 2 sizes (5x7 and 4x6) and of course none of then are castable.

Found under Decor > Rugs for 3.200§ (4x6) and 4.360§ (5x7)

É o que dizem né: vaso ruim não quebra

Já dizia o ditado: quem é vivo sempre aparece. E eu, estou VIVA! Então, como esperado (pelo ditado) apareci: quase 3 anos depois e com a vida completamente mudada desde o último post. Eu recomendaria vocês se prepararem para o textão, porque dois anos é muito tempo e aconteceu tanta coisa que eu nem sei por onde começar. Vou tentar ir em ordem cronológica, risos. Como se trata da minha vida e da minha cabeça descaralhada, deixo aqui gentilmente também o aviso de gatilho. Powpowpow.

2021 não foi um ano fácil pra mim. 2022 conseguiu ser um pouco pior. Apesar de ter continuado a fazer lives, eu estava exausta, sem meus medicamentos psiquiátricos e sem acompanhamento psicoterapêutico, indo de burnout em burnout e não conseguindo lidar mais com meu trabalho. Eu amava o que fazia, mas não conseguia mais entregar com qualidade pura e simplesmente porque eu acordava todo dia querendo morrer. Quem consegue trabalhar direito enquanto olha pra janela e pensa que talvez pular seja uma boa ideia? Pois é.

A real é que eu passei 2022 entre um momento e outro, tive várias crises, tanto depressivas quanto de ansiedade, surtei no meu trabalho, levei várias broncas e tentei meu melhor, mas o meu melhor não era o que a empresa esperava então deu um pouco ruim. Tentei me suicidar mais de uma vez naquele ano. Pensava em morrer todos os dias. Passava mal todo domingo à noite com a perspectiva de ter de levantar e começar a trabalhar. Foi uma época difícil.

Enfim, o ano chegou ao fim e meu 2023 começou com uma surpresa não tão surpreendente assim: eu fui demitida.

Não foi surpreendente porque realmente eu tava completamente abubublé das ideias, mas sinceramente eu esperava que tivesse sido de um jeito um pouco mais caloroso, porque basicamente eu só cheguei ao ponto onde eu estava por ter negligenciado minha saúde mental pensando nas rotinas da empresa. Depois dessa demissão, eu prometi a mim mesma nunca mais rifar minha saúde mental por emprego algum e posso dizer com orgulho que tenho mantido minha promessa (na maior parte do tempo; não sou perfeita).

Passei o primeiro semestre do ano quase todo desempregada. Tentei fotografar mas, como sempre, não tive o apoio de muita gente. Me desesperei, me senti inútil e senti que minha vida era vazia, mas eu tinha dado um passo importante: finalmente tinha voltado a tomar meus medicamentos. Continuei fazendo as lives do jeito que dava e então em maio recebi a notícia de que tinha sido contratada na nova firma.

E desde então a vida tem sido boa. Juro pra vocês. Além da medicação, comecei acompanhamento psicológico e tá sendo ótimo. 2023 terminou como um bom ano, mas 2024 foi incrível, mesmo com os momentos de baixa e o nome negativado no Serasa (risos nervosos).

Dentre todas as novidades, a novidade mais novidade das novidades: eu casei. Sim, meus amores, casei. Papel passado. Aliança no dedo. Certidão de casamento, vestido de noiva, festa caríssima que ainda to terminando de pagar, lua de mel em Paris: casada. Conheci a tão falada Cidade-Luz e é bonita como dizem, mesmo. Fui nos museus (British ainda é melhor que o Louvre :P), conheci Versailles, descobri que Marselha é pior que o Rio e comi muito taco francês (não pergunte). Espero poder voltar um dia, tem muita coisa que ainda quero fazer por lá :).

Eu e o senhor meu marido no bolo de casamento. Sim, somos otakus fedorentos e nosso topo de bolo foi o Anakin e a Padmé.

Estou bem na nova firma. As pessoas gostam de mim e o ritmo é beeem menos intenso do que no outro trabalho. Às vezes sinto falta das questões técnicas que eu tinha que resolver, mas como eu sou enxerida, sempre arrumo sarna pra me coçar nesse novo emprego. E tem o bônus de ser um trabalho em uma faculdade, que é um ambiente que eu amo.

Hayatinho está ótimo, sendo um fedorento de marca maior e agora indo pra creche. Ele chega em casa só o pó da rabiola e vai dormir, o que é bom mas também é ruim porque ele não dá muita bola pra mim quando eu encho o saco dele, o filho desnaturado.

Graças à terapia, estou dando uma desacelerada nos projetos de cosplay e eventos, e fazendo as coisas sem prazo pra terminar, me dando espaço e liberdade para aproveitar o processo criativo de fazer as roupas... E isso me fez me reconectar com o cosplay. Eu tinha perdido o prazer pelo hobby, continuando meio que porque é algo que eu gosto de fazer, mas dar essa parada me ajudou muito a compreender a razão de eu ter começado e me apaixonado tanto pelo hobby e pela comunidade. Estou há meses fazendo uma roupa, pra terminar quando der pra terminar, e eu não me divertia tanto fazendo um cosplay desde... sempre, eu acho? É difícil até mesmo colocar uma posição no tempo quando eu venho fazendo cosplay em modo de con crunch há tantos anos.

Bom, eu não sei se vou continuar escrevendo com frequência. Toda vez que prometo, acabo não cumprindo. Também não sei o que farei com esse espaço; já tentei tanta coisa que nunca foi pra frente que fica difícil definir o que fazer. Mas nesse processo terapêutico, aprendi que nem tudo precisa ter motivo, e que eu não preciso planejar minha vida inteira em questão de dez minutos.

Baby steps, Fuinha. Baby steps.
