❀ Helianthus | Toshinori Yagi x Reader ❀

a/n: It took me a while to come up with something for this collab and i am very nervous about it but I hope I did All Might justice,, If you want to read the work of other amazing writers, check out the masterlist

Summary: Your past lover has left many scars on you. Yet, your loving husband has other plans for you. 

The morning sun shone through the closed blinds, causing various rays of sunlight to highlight your face. A quiet groan escaped your sore throat, a cause of barely hydrating and leaving your own room. You didn’t even bother opening a window. Instead you rolled over, your eyes closing to attempt to slip back into your peaceful dreams. Reality needed to be escaped and you were willing to make the sacrifice. Your husband had other plans with you. He wanted to show you that life can be beautiful even with the misfortunes happening. Sadness was temporary and he wanted you to achieve the happiness with him in your life. 

You had been in an abusive relationship with someone. That time Toshinori Yagi, your husband, was your closest friend. The one you trusted the most. You hadn’t kept your partner a secret from him. You couldn’t keep it to yourself. Fortunately, Toshinori decided to help you out in the process of moving your partner out of your life. It took you a long time but it was worth it. The constant abuse left you in a state of depression and insecurity. 

You thought you couldn’t love and trust ever again. The thought of any man near you terrified you. Toshinori had asked you out on a date one day and you could feel butterflies rise in your stomach. Deep down, you had always loved the former number one hero yet there was a feeling inside you that prevented you from admitting your feelings to him. 

Your date with him went well. You had expected to receive roses from the man but instead he arrived with multiple beautiful sunflowers. 

From then on, sunflowers became a symbol for your relationship. A lot of time passed and you felt better. You barely felt insecure anymore with your husband around. Until one day, your depression and insecurities hit you like a truck. Now you’ve been holed up in your room, specifically bed, and haven’t moved at all for the past 5 days. Your husband had decided to leave you be. He believed you’d be able to recollect yourself to the hardworking person you used to be. He was dead wrong. Toshinori tried getting you out of bed multiple times with different methods. Food, your favorite movie, chocolate. This time, he only sat at the end of the bed, staring at your form covered in blankets. “Love…Won’t you get up?” His voice spoke to you in a soft manner, trying to coax you into getting up and spending time with him. You only responded with a groan, shifting under the many blankets. “I miss you.” He spoke clearly, his hand resting on you. You turned around from your position facing the wall as you stared at him. A little smile formed on his face, glad he could capture your attention. “Aren’t you tired of laying in bed all the time, love? I’m sure you want to spend time together…” He quietly spoke, his hand reaching for yours as he intertwined them. You thought about it as you stared at your husband’s face. You knew something was up with you. You knew your depression came back. It was so very obvious. You also didn’t want to slip back into this state. You loved spending time with your husband and you definitely wanted to go back to your old stable self. Toshinori recognized those unsure eyes, the way they glinted with desire. Tears formed in your eyes, the thought of never being able to go back to normal terrifying you. As soon as he caught glimpse of the tears streaming down your face, he panicked and leaned forward as he pulled you into his embrace by your arms. “Let’s work on this together, love. I know we can. I’m your hero now.” He stated, a reassuring smile on his perfect face. You stared at him, more tears escaping your eyes as you nodded. 

The time went by and the two of you worked on getting you back to your hardworking, caring self. He did anything he could to help you. He spent hours in libraries to study up on depression and what to do about it. You felt yourself slowly going back to normal. It was little things little eating together and spending time together that made it easy for you. You had your bad days but you easily overcame them with the help of your loving Husband. 

You two were now spending time on the couch, your favorite movie playing and your favorite snacks being devoured by you in just a few minutes. It was little things like that you loved doing with him and he did too. “Y/N.” He suddenly spoke, making you stop shoving another chip in your mouth and paying attention to him instead of the movie. “I’m proud of you. You worked really hard.” He pressed several kisses across your face with every word he spoke. “It was because of you, Toshi.” You replied without batting an eye, surprising him and causing a mild blush across his pale cheeks. “I wanted my wife back. I love you, always.” That made you stop entirely, your eyes widening at him. It’s been a while since he said it and you surely didn’t expect it. He suddenly stood up, moving towards the kitchen. You were about to turn around when he spoke up. “Don’t look yet. It’s a surprise.” He laughed softly, the laugh you loved the most. He stepped into your line of view again, one of his arms behind his back. “What have you got there, Toshi?” You asked innocently, knowing it was something for you. It made you feel a little cocky to be honest. He stood right in front of you by now, his arm slowly moving towards you. In his hands he was holding a bouquet of sunflowers. Your eyes gawked at it, comprehending it as a smile spread on your face. You were about to thank him when he reached into his pocket, pulling a small silver box out. “We’re already married, Toshi.” You joked, laughing softly. His smile only got wider as he stared at you with pure admiration. The way your dimples show when you laugh and the way your hair is perfectly in place. The sunlight shone right in your face, like it did months ago, but this time it was different. You were who you wanted to be and it was thanks to him you could. “Then it’s about time you call me Yagi, isn’t it, love?” You blushed at that. You were always too nervous to call him but right now you were weirdly excited. He gave you the box first, watching you open it as your eyes sparkled at the item in it. It was a beautiful sunflower necklace with bright colors. Just the right item for summer, you thought. Then he handed you the sunflowers and you took them gladly. They always smelled so good and they were so soothing for your nerves. “Do you know the meaning of sunflowers, Y/N?” You stared at him, a smile decorating your, in his opinion, perfect face. “admiration and gratitude.” Both of you stated in unison, laughing at yourselves. You set the bouquet down, attempting to put the necklace on. He took hold of it and told you to turn around, putting it on for you. “I am no hero anymore. Just a teacher and a husband. But I’m glad I could spend my time with you.” He stated and you recognized that tone. He was kind of upset about not being able to be a hero anymore. “But Tosh-- Yagi, you’re my hero. You saved me in a way no one else could. Thank you, my wonderful and loving hero.” You whispered, leaning in for the long awaited kiss as your necklace glistened in the sunlight.

Here it is, the very first Karasuhoes SFW server collab! 

I decided to start these collabs as a way to give back to the Haikyuu community, think of it as a little gift every month that the server is giving back!

When I started this blog last September my goal was to get 500 followers. I saw some of the bigger blogs that I looked up to so much, and still look up to, and figured that my writing would never be as popular or as good as theirs. And even though my writing and my blog is still not on their level of popularity, I never imagined to have this big a following under my belt.

I have made so many friends because of this blog. I have met so many talented people who have inspired me to keep writing and to experiment with different elements of creative writing that I was not comfortable working with before.

I think we all know at this point that I am not the best with the follower milestone events I do, so instead of doing one of those I decided to make you all a mixtape. These are some of my favorite stories from some of the wonderful people I have met during my first year on this blog. This was also not an original idea btw. I’ve seen a couple other blogs do this and thought it was a cute idea so don’t give me full credit!

Sof, the main reason why I have made so many unforgettable friends. From her wacky discord server where I’ve had way too many conversations about the different variants of urine to the hilarious social media aus I look forward to reading and rereading after stressful days at work or school, Sof has been there for me in difficult times, both in person and in writing. It is an honor to be her friend and to have the pleasure of talking to her every day.

Fever Talk is one of my favorite Bakugo x Reader pieces of hers. When Bakugo comes down with an aggressive illness, you, his manager, have to take care of him. It’s goofy and fluffy all in one, and it brings a smile to my face every time I read it.

When you find out that Bakugo is your soulmate, you try your best to convince him that you are in fact his soulmate rather than another one of his fangirls.

Candy has been one of the most supportive people I’ve met. She always knows what to say and how to cheer someone up when they’re feeling down. This is such a cute comfort piece for anyone who is feeling down after a breakup. After reading this piece all I wanted was for Kirishima to cuddle me and let me cry into his chest.

Raph is one of the coolest people I have met! She is so sweet and I can always rely on her to tag me in picrew challenges. This piece of writing is Hawks in a nutshell. When he takes you out on your first date ever, everything goes perfect until things start to get a little steamy between the two of you.

Amber was one of the first people I met in the BNHA Sanctuary server. She is one of the sweetest and most supportive people I know. Momo is one of my favorite characters and I never see fluffy fics about her. This piece is very comforting and fills all of my Yaoyorozu needs.

While I don’t know Sarah as well as I would like to, Anything is probably my all time favorite Bakugo piece. I lost track of how many times I’ve read it. I am a sucker for punk rock and piercings, and this piece fulfills some of my wildest sex fantasies. When you sneak into Bakugo’s dressing room backstage after a concert, how will he punish you?

“keep your eyes on the orange.”

the room is cold, sterile, flat. you sit straight, spine pressed just so, each metallic vertebrae lined up with the notches in the seat. s-2 — suga, or koshi, as he’d insisted ever since he’d shifted — stands just behind you, voice holding an uncharacteristic sweetness. you had not done anything worth such a tone, even as you scrolled through your memory logs of the past five minutes; by logic’s account, he should be frustrated, annoyed. those emotions were heavy, weighted against human tongues & easy to spot laced between their words.

without looking, you know that the sun is against his back, casting his face in shadow; you wonder if his skin has started its automatic cooldown yet, the silicon chilled by internal air vents. you’d been at it all afternoon, attempting to bridge the link as he’d done for the others. the creator would be proud of him, you analyze. s-2 had furthered his work far past what anyone expected.

“i shall.” you focus again, eye sensors whirring as they zero in on the fruit once more. vivid, well picked in season — its rind holds an unmistakable hue, bright and demanding against the white of the lab. if it were a threat, it would be poorly disguised.

behind you, s-2 carefully moves in closer, well aware of your eyes tracking his movements simultaneously with the orange. cool, gentle hands sweep your hair behind one silicone, perfect ear. “focus on the orange, my love. tell me everything you can about it, and then analyze what you’ve recorded,” he murmurs, voice gentle; the soft wash of his breath over your artificial skin would be soothing, if you’d had the capabilities to understand it.

the orange sits atop its pedestal unassumingly; you study it once more. clean, almost perfectly spherical, & unblemished, all of which you dutifully parrot back to him. he chuckles lowly, & your sensors are puzzled once more. your memory logs show nothing humorous from that exchange, but he stops you before you can ask.

“now, sweep your memory banks. what do painters & writers think of this orange?” soft, silicon lips press just below your ear, & you accept the muted act as affection before searching.

your logs tell you much; poets and sketchers and sculptors alike have had many thoughts on such an ordinary fruit, and you analyze each carefully. was it sweet, or sour ? would it make a well thought gift, or would the receiver scorn such a present? was it a sign of wealth, or poverty? suga’s kisses become more fervent, prominent as he makes his way up the slope of your neck, & your focus drifts.

the orange is wet, slick with condensation from sitting in the sunlight. like this, it seems brighter, more appealing, as though it asks something from you. it beckons a tasting, to hold it in cupped hands and peel back its thick rind to reveal the sweetness inside. you’re overcome with an urge to bite it, to tear it apart gently and savor the sticky wetness of its juice. it is an odd reaction, and you mean to analyze that too when suga shifts.

his kisses trail up the shell of your ear, & you shiver; the temperature hasn’t changed, your reaction was illogical. the orange smiles at your confusion, and you pause. no, it seems to brighten with the sun’s rays, & you see it as a smile, a laugh in an empty sunlit room, a shared memory between friends in the sunshine.

it’s so bright, so demandingly present & warm & you smile without realizing, your saline reserves flooding your retinas with wet. “it’s beautiful,” you whisper, & suga’s smile can be felt without your needing fo face him.

you’re struck with an overwhelming urge to look at him, & you turn without processing the action; his face is warm, shining golden in the fading sunlight and you pause, cupping his face in your hands.

“you are beautiful, koshi,” you correct yourself, head tilted as you admire him. how could you ever see this room as cold, with him in it? he was so warm, and so was the sunlight, and the air that cushioned your fibernetic lungs. he smiles wider, brushing his nose against yours; up close, you understand why the creator named him the angel-droid, every feature perfect in the champagne glow.

“you are beautiful, my love,” he promises, pressing his lips to yours with a neediness you immediately return, want & need swelling in your chest in a way you’ve never felt before as you kiss him.

the orange basks in the glow of your shared emotions, & laughs long after you’ve both left, the citrus wire settled in your shifting circuits just as it did the others. although, no other could invoke such feeling as koshi, and neither anyone to him as you.

 the sun began slowly to rise, ending your night of peace and love with your boyfriend. you were currently in bed sleeping peacefully cuddled up to your sweet boyfriend, Izuku. You had spent your day studying yesterday and today it was going to be just the two of you taking care of each other throughout the whole day. you began to arise from your peaceful slumber, slowly moving away from your position against Midoriya’s chest. As you sat up, the sun light shone right into your face, drawing a groan from your throat. “too bright.” you mumbled, using your hand to shield your face from the light as you wished you had more time to sleep but you knew once you woke up you won’t be able to sleep again. Your head turned to look at Midoriya who was still in a deep slumber beside you. your hand went straight for his irresistible fluffy hair, your fingers brushing through his soft locks. A groan escaped him, making you giggle softly. You leaned down to pepper his face with kisses, a permanent smile on your face. “honey bunny, wake up..” You’d cooed, hoping it’d wake him up so you could stare at his mesmerizing green eyes. To your luck, it did wake him up, making you grin triumphantly but feeling guilty about disturbing his well deserved sleep at the same time. His eyes opened slowly, his lashes fluttering softly. “Mornin’ sleepy head” his voice wasn’t as light as usual but it wasn’t too hoarse either. It was just right to make the butterflies in your stomach rise. It felt like you could fly high just by looking at him. He was the only reason you kept working hard. The reason you could smile and be yourself. He was so perfect and you were so determined to make yourself worthy of standing by his side. A smile spread on his face as his eyes met yours, his hand moving up to cup your face. “Morning, buttercup.” The way he looked at you made you want to lean down and kiss him as passionate as you could, so you could get your feelings across to him. “‘Zuku.” “Hm?” You nervously bit down on your lower lip, contemplating whether you should tell him what you’re thinking or not. You knew it was a good idea to tell him since he’d always wanted to know about your feelings and worries. This was no time to hesitate. “I love you.” His eyes widened just a bit. He still couldn’t get used to hearing those words as a massive blush spread across his cheeks. His mouth opened to respond but you continued on, determined to finally confess your true feelings. “I’ve been worried about so many things. Whether the choices I’ve made so far were good or not. If I’d ever accept myself the way I am. Even if I am good enough for you. But honestly, I have all the answers now. You’re the reason I can keep going. You make me want to be better. A better person, a better citizen.” By now, Izuku’s smile spread wider. He was so touched by your words as he kept listening. He’s never felt good enough until he managed to get into UA and make his dream of becoming a hero true. He still felt like he needed to become a better person. Having another person telling him these things felt… good. He stared at you, urging you to continue. “You make everyday worth living. I am grateful to be able to wake up to your precious face, Izuku. I love you so so much.” Midoriya stayed silent, his eyes still making contact with yours.
