I have no body overlays at the moment and I’m wondering what the best maxis match skins featuring body hair (all genders) / scars / stretch marks / cellulite / you know somewhat realistic but still sims? Thank you in advance!

simmydayrealestate! Thank you for asking me!

I have never seen skins with hair included and couldn’t find any. However,

there are def some nice maxis mix (maxis with a hint of alpha) skins plus

body hair/scars/stretchmarks/cellulite addition to add on top.

Starch marks and cellulites (for when you’re pregenanant etc):Here’s oneAnother oneThere’s also this oneSkin overlays:These ones are a staple in my house, various bits and bobs here.This and this available for all.Also this and this, available for all (the sims resource).One, two, three, four, and five from MsBlue (the sims resource).I like these, all ages and genders.Body hairs:I love this one for females (edit of the one below)And this is the only other full body hair i use tbh. what are some of your favorite books/films/shows/games/etc? I tend to read more non fiction these days and it doesn’t really make sense to have favourites I don’t think. at the moment I’m reading The Left Case Against the EU by Costas Lapavitsas which is very good (trying to catch up on political stuff after being out of it for a while). anyway my favourite novel is A Disaffection by James Kelman, really sharp and angry but also funny and humane. favourite films probably Celine and Julie Go Boating, Black Narcissus, The Conformist, The Third Man. favourite TV is probably the Biederbecke Trilogy from back in the 80s. games is TS4, I'm not really interested in them otherwise.

get to know my playstyle tag

FAMILY SIZE AT THE START: I mostly play premades, so its whatever number they have, mostly either 2 or 4 sims.

LIFESPAN OF MY SIMS:  I have it set on long, almost never play any save long enough to see anyone age up though.

FAVORITE FAMILY I HAVE PLAYED: The Bheedas are my favourite family. They work especially well if they have twins (I usually move them across the hall to 2b Jasmine Suites because it has a higher chance of twins) because it is more challenging and I think it gives the household a really fun dynamic with Jesminder and Arun’s slightly overlapping work hours. Always a good chance of total chaos 😁

AM I A MALEVOLENT OR BENEVOLENT GOD: Neither really I would say. Almost nothing happens to my sims, there is very little major drama in their lives. What I like is mundane stuff, my favourite gameplay is always focused on small details of their lives and just everyday activities. I think that kind of stuff often gets overlooked generally and its a big reason why I like the Sims so much because you get to explore that.

WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT THE CURRENT VERSION OF SIMS I PLAY: Well TS4 is the only one I’ve played, so I can’t really compare it. I guess from what I’ve seen I think the artstyle of TS4 is miles better than the rest of the series.

WHAT AM I MOST ANTICIPATING FOR THE CURRENT VERSION OF SIMS: I’m definitely excited for Island Living, I think that’s looking like a really great expansion. I also always say a pack for elders, or even if I was going to be more ambitious something like a generations pack. I don’t know if that’s likely to happen though. tbh I think I’m pretty open minded about any packs they might make, I hope they’ll have some surprises in store. There’s nothing I’d be bothered about if they didn’t include it if you see what I mean.

well its a bit mixed quality that list and not all that reflective of my actual taste but never mind! that Burial track is a nothing intro iirc and I don’t even really like his music tbh, not sure why I still have it? the Hong Kong in the 60s is bland indie and I’m not that keen on the Spectrasoul or Arch Origin tracks either.

the highlight is probably Queen Latifah’s cover of Hello Stranger, mostly because I’d completely forgotten it. It’s really a very nice faithful version of one of my favourite songs, though the original by Barbara Lewis is untouchable. 

The Darren Hayman one is interesting because it was written by the great socialist William Morris (of wallpaper fame), but like a lot of Hayman’s music its more interesting than enjoyable. that track is one of the better ones though.
