"You're...going to Nibelheim tomorrow?"

Berial's eyes went wider than she would have wanted and it was all she could do to keep a grip on the files in her arms.

"I am have you heard of it?"

She could barely register his words, her vision began to swim and quickly she blinked back tears, looking around at her terminal and pretending to be busy. "I think I heard Cloud talk about it." She said, nonchalantly wiping her eyes. "He was born there I believe. If what Zack tells me is true." Sephiroth added, crossing his arms as he watched her.

"I think you're right." She said, putting her file down. Keep it together. Breathe. Breathe.

He said something else but that she couldn't register it, memories of fire and a crumbling town churning in her mind's eye. Sephiroth touched her and she startled a bit. "...Miss Berial...?"

"Sorry. Spaced out. What did you say?" She couldn't bring herself to look at him, if she did, she would cry.

"Nothing of importance." He shrugged a bit, though bewildered at her behavior. "I will leave you in peace, you look over loaded. I just...thought I should I tell you." Not that he could say why.

He turned away to exit the lab when Berial stood up fast enough to knock back her chair. "Sephiroth!" Tilting his head, he looked back at her. "Yes?"

"...Will you spend the night with me?"

"Tonight?"

"Yes. I know you have a mission tomorrow but...please." She felt cold. This would be the last time, more than likely, that she would get to see him. Depending on what the Universe had in store for her and the girls.

"...Alright. I'll come meet you here when you are off. Yes?" He smiled a little at her, nodding his head.

"Yes. Perfect. I'll see you then." Berial had turned away then, listening to the sound of the hydralics on the door signal his exit, before she pressed the heels of her hands to her eyes and cried.
