question... for theme 207 where would the search box be / i would like a search box but i have no idea where it is. although that might just be sleep deprivation. but still.

hi there! sure, don’t worry. first, add this in the css:

and then pick where the search will appear, like, it can be after description. search for <div class="description">, and after the closing </div>, you paste this:

now the script to make it work, scroll down to the end of the theme, you’ll find <script>. paste this after:

yes to all of these! all at the same time!!! mystic wars and post apocalypse together sounds really interesting! i can’t help you :’))) but you’re welcome to ramble in my dms any time!!

You know what I love? That new wip hype when you’re really excited to flesh things out but also a little scared because heck if you know what you’re doing.

I think there’s this idea on writeblr that you need a nice graphic and a proofread excerpt every time you wanna share something (and it’s great if you do this! more power to you!) but honestly most of the time, I just have a dumb idea and I want to blab about it and I want to blab NOW. Also, let’s not put ourselves down for having lots of wips in the works or in the wings or whatever.

Where are my barely-outlining, piping-hot premise writeblrs?! I wanna learn about everyone’s baby wips!

excerpt time!

Asena finally got herself to revise her prologue so here is proof that Asena did things.

Orynn hates the way her Crown perches primly on her head as she gets ready for yet another meeting, the unforgiving metal digging into her skin. She frowns at her reflection in the mirror and runs a comb through her hair, her fingers occasionally dancing over her compad screen to check for messages. A part of the Crown's magic, it has assumed the position most comfortable with her, yet she feels anything but. The ongoing Night War has sapped her and the Council of Stars of all their strength, and the only thing she can think of is to hang on a little while longer, to survive.

Survive. The idea is laughable, to her at least. Orynn had been a lowly mortal, just one lucky enough to escape the ruins of Earth with her family. They had settled in for no more than five years when the War started, and a parade was held to find the first Queen. The memories flow through her mind like a raging river, gaining speed as she recalls the chaos. When the Crown emitted a glow unlike any other as the parade passed her apartment block. Being surrounded by people on all sides as she was Crowned and whisked away to the grand Palace of Stars. Dressed up in clothes befitting her new title by the Royal Tailor. She had no magic to call her own, but could invoke the Crown's in the direst of times.

Orynn sighs at the memory and straightens her dress, smoothing out the creases in the fabric. Taking a deep breath, she leaves her chambers and makes her way to the hidden room door a few hallways over. Pushing it open, it reveals a plain corridor lined with simple marble, a stark contrast to the sweeping blue and silver tones outside. She hears the muted voices of her Council of Stars as she treads softly to the second, less richly decorated door, the first already closing with a small click. She pulls on the simple handle, and the Council hastily rises to bow to her.

P R E S Q U E V U: REINTRODUCTION When Al impulsively decides to rob her work place, she becomes entangled in a web of mob bosses, stolen possessions and hallucinations to a life that certainly didn’t belong to her. She soon finds herself confronted with the choice to either lead society into a disarray of its own burgeoning madness, or cave to the ever-growing violence in the world around her. But perhaps worst of all, she’s left with the empty realisation that she doesn’t know who to trust - up to, and including herself.

“As she sat on the bench - her clothes soaked through - Al did have to wonder if rather than personifying the figure of Eve promised the life of knowledge, she had instead become naught but the apple. Consumed for all she had in the pursuit of the dreams of others. She had spent half her life gnawed upon mindlessly - her skin now green with envy and her actions if asked: red with sin. She supposed it made sense - if she were the apple, then Bacari was certainly the devil who dangled her to the wanton eyes of desire.”

anyhow, thought I’d do a reintroduction as this wip has changed slightly - altered from a more light hearted mythological roadtrip wip to a grittier urban fantasy.
