hey . sorry to do this again. my girlfriend and i need help. our job applications got accepted two weeks ago but we don't start until november. we're penniless going into the new month while our lease is up for renewal. so it comes down to this: either we can make the bills this friday or we're on the street. we're already late on our car payment, insurance, and more. we've been unemployed and scraping by since the beginning of the year. we're running out of food and im a week off my HRT because i can't afford it. we've been trying this whole time to find jobs and nothing has worked but now we're so, so close to the finish line. i literally start work in a week.

hey everyone - i know there’s a lot going on in the world right now, a lot of causes that need support and visibility now more than ever.

i’d like to take an opportunity to highlight a cause that’s very literally close to home for me: i live very, very close to springfield, ohio. the haitian community there has always needed help and support but now, with white supremacist rhetoric and bold faced lies being circulated nationally, with threats of violence and heightened ignorance being more common than ever, they need it perhaps more than they ever have.

there has been a lot of hate since trump and his little bootlicker attack dog jd vance have started this shit, but there’s also been an outpouring of love and community outreach in the weeks since springfield was thrust into the worst kind of spotlight.

the hatian community support and help center has been invaluable in helping hatian refugees get what they need to start a new life here. they are headed by a team of haitian immigrants that are personally familiar with what their fellow immigrants need. they have been instrumental in keeping their community from falling through the cracks.

@talesfromtreatment will be using the information gathered to build an accurate, statistics-supported corn snake growth and feeding guide based on ACTUAL data from ACTUAL corn snake keepers like you! I'm just the numbers gal.

URGENT: LOSING HOUSING

i'm losing access to my housing on the 29th of may, and i'm trying to gather funds to make it over to my friend in portland that has a place for me to stay.

i've got my plane ticket for the 5th of june, i need to secure funds for the storage container payment for the month by the 29th, and i need to have enough to take an uber from the airport to my friend's as soon as possible.

the storage container is 150 dollars, and the uber can range from 40-60 dollars. that needs to be secured as soon as possible.

Remember when I was so excited that the state was finally paying me? Yeah, that was a premature celebration. My employer has decided to take over paying my weekly short term disability payment, so I'm getting less than half what the state got to pay me for two (2) weeks. It means I got comfortable and stepped back from Dashing (which is getting harder to do as my condition gets worse) and now we're almost $1k short for June rent.

We have until the 30th to pay for rent this month (plus a $200 late fee) or we will be evicted.

I hate that I have to keep asking for help, especially with everything else going on in the world, but keeping our home is so important. I'm hoping I will feel better tomorrow and next week and be able to make some money, but because that's not a guarantee, I'm gonna keep being anxious over here and crossing my fingers that my employer will extend my medical leave without having to jump through a million more hoops.

i normally don't do this, but i thought i'd try at least. my 16 year old sister is in the hospital after a suicide attempt. i've been visiting her daily, but the hospital is almost an hour away from me and i don't have a car. we both live with our disabled mom, and i've raised her for most of my teenage and adult years. she is in an inpatient facility and it's unlikely she'll be discharged soon.

she needs me now more than ever, and i've lost a lot of work just to be with her, so money is tight. ubers to the hospital cost around $90 daily. before her attempt, i'd been working on an old car i inherited from my grandmother and trying to get it working again, but since i've been going to the hospital all of my money has been going toward ubers and not towards getting the car fixed.

the only thing that the car needs now is a battery, and a new set of tires. i have a family friend willing to do the work for free, i just need to buy the battery and tires. $500 should be enough to take care of it, but anything would help if at least to help pay for me to continue visiting her.

if anyone can throw a few dollars my way it would help so so much. it will go toward ubers to visit her, and groceries to prevent myself from starving so that i can stay sane. i'd also like to buy some manga, plushes, or art supplies so that she can have some creature comforts to make her stay easier.
