Do you guys think that AFO suffered from some form of dissociative identity disorder, or some form of depersonalisation. It’s something I’ve always been curious about since we first saw AFO’s narration of his backstory and his reaction to his brothers death for the first time.

They way he describes it, it’s like he’s talking about a separate persons life and not his own. Plus there’s the fact that he was so determined to become a character instead of being viewed as a person.

Part of me wonders that because of his upbringing he had to dissociate a lot in order to cope with everything around him that it just became his norm. And so feeling anything at all aside from a few numbed emotions was really odd for him. It might explain why when he had finally begun to feel his emotions clearly in the end that he freaked out because he had never been able to feel anything so strongly before.

it’s could also explain why he had such a hard time creating proper bonds with the people around him aside from Yoichi. I mean besides the fact that he didn’t really view other people as anything other than tools. But that’s just me speculating who knows for sure.

Kind of specific AFO headcannon but I think he ate his mother’s vestige (probably as teenager/soon after killing the light baby) and that’s how he got memories of his birth. I think AFO would reject the idea of having a mother, cause AFO is a freak about motherhood + his tendency to take credit for certain characters’ creation/BIRTH leads me to think that he would hate the idea of someone being responsible for his creation. Maternal figure AFO is real and she’s on her way to mock nana shimura’s failings as a mother. This is also fuel for my genderqueer afo headcannon btw

edit: want to specify that I think afo sees motherhood as a possessive thing. he uses it to stay in control. “I created you so I can mold you into whatever I see fit”. see: tomura.

i'm okay, disappointed but okay. i really wanted kamala to win not just on a political level to avoid the next orange dictatorship but it would've been awesome to see a woman of color become president. when i saw she was watching the election results from howard university instead of her home state i almost bawled cause like yes girl! rep your hbcu!!! i had hope it would be a beautiful moment where she could achieve the presidency surrounded by her people but unfortunately not. i guess america's just openly racist now they only hid it for like 50 years

Headcanon: After ascending to power and getting access to all types of rich foods in abundance for the first time in his life caused AFO to over eat for his first meal with all this new food and he ended up throwing up from it. He also ate super fast too which didn't help. Yoichi did the same as well, they're not used to have so much food all at once. I think Yoichi suffered more from the over eating because he still kept scarfing it down even when he was fighting off the nausea and stomach pain that comes with eating for him. They couldn't help it, it tasted better than anything they've ever eaten before.

I also imagine him and Yoichi would stash food close to them just in case they ever lose access to their source of food. Old habits from when they grew up on the street and food was scarce. No matter how much access they have to food in their new life there's always the underlying fear of running out some day.

i believe that afo had a wild phase in the beginning of his villain era. after an entire life on the streets as an orphan he starts building prestige as a well known, feared, and adored villain and his bank account starts reflecting that too. suddenly he can afford to dress in the best clothes, eat the best food, go wherever he wants, he probably ran wild with power for a while before settling down and realizing that it's best to lay low and strategize. after being deprived for so long i could totally see him becoming a hedonist and tbh he would still be one well into his old age, he'd just be a bit more low-key about it
