October at Alan Cumming's @clubcumming in NYC as a part of a group reading of authors in their "Reading for Filth" Series curated by Hattie Hathaway and Daniel Nardicio. I discovered this quote by Abu Nuwas al-Hasan ibnHani al-Hakami whilst I was reading ancient Arab & Persian Love Poetry and it so moved me and resonated with me that I decided to include it to close my own book as it perfectly captures my own feelings with my love for whom my book is dedicated.
