I pondered Amy/Sidepiece some.

At first glance, this almost feels impossible. Side likes confident, powerful women, and Ames has all the charisma of a sac of wet mice.

But that's them in a vacuum. In context, especially from the perspective and compared to a C-lister like 'Piece, the Dubious Dallon does indeed come off as some kind of supervillain royalty.

First, daughter of the Marquis. Bad guy legend, one of the block leaders from the Birdcage, overall badass (and also hot).

Two, busted power. Needs no introduction.

C, pictire this. Cute domestic situation. Amy says that she's gotta go to the Wardens and do her stuff, afterwards go to have tea with Riley and Rinke. Side inquires whether she should be jealous. Amy says no. They are capes, yes, but Riley is underage, and Rinke is a dude. They exchange goodbye kisses. 'Piece pulls out a laptop and does a curspry search, and the two are apparently ex-S-class threats? One literally the backbone of the Slaughterhouse Nine and the other held the entire US hostage to let him keep a town he took over? What the fuck, man?

I hate Sidepiece so much.

I HATE HER.

I've mentioned it before on other servers and on the subreddit, but she is the one character that I hate the most in all of Parahumans.

For context of those who may have forgotten: Mockument creates a clone of Victoria that represents all the worst parts of herself and her fears, so it's highly sexualized, naked, and depressed, and constantly gushing about how much it wants to be mind-raped by Amy again.

Sidepiece, upon learning that Victoria was raped, then proceeds to mock her for being raped.

I. Flipped. My. Shit.

When I worked with EMS, I met awful, awful people in the field and outside of it who made rape jokes about victims/survivors we treated.

As I am studying in Psych, I've met fellow students who don't understand why it's traumatizing and didn't bother to hide joking about it, even when some students implied they suffered from it.

I have seen politicians on air talk about how rape is partially the victims fault and mock them in every way under the sun.

Fuck that.

Fuck Sidepiece.

Amy does evil things, but she is also genuinely mentally ill and easily manipulated. She's still a piece of shit person, but you expect that from a rapist.

Marquis makes incest jokes at Victoria, but he's also Amy's number 1 fan and enabler of her worst tendencies. You expect him to do that.

Sidepiece was a villain and potential murderer, and she definitely set the heartbroken on fire (for daring to defend themselves from being chopped up), but it wasn't until this point that I internalize, "Wow, you are absolute garbage of a human being."

Wildbow did an amazing job writing someone I want to punch through the monitor, but even now, I can't read most of that chapter. I have to take a walk and calm down or just skip it entirely.

Nailbiter was an interesting villain. She knew she was fucked up mentally, maybe even power wise, but she never wanted to change. She just wanted to hurt people.

It’s not often WB has characters who know how bad they are but don’t care.

Nailbiter was another one of those characters I doodled alot before I was happy , Honestly I feel she was wasted in ward ...this seems more like a character a creepy pasta was written about . wb had sooo many intresting characters and powers also included is a sidepiece . a design for damsel in distress I never really used , a design for seir I did decide to use and some rare non chibi proportioned art of Nailbiter also I leaned heavily into the prison butch Aesthetic
