The worst part is, I have this unhealthy habit of seeing the best in everyone. At least when I care.

I just downloaded Tumblr 2 days ago and now I am sick. I am taking this as a sign, but unfortunately I don’t speak unrelated events so god can come down from heaven and yell at me, because Im staying for better or for worse. Open the gates and enter your mistake or let it fester, god.

This may not be poetry, but I must write.

The ebb and flow of life is ever-present, we will never go a day without it.

Make some money, spend some more.

Make two friends, two may move away.

Love is gifted and received; smoke mugs up the sky, and the rain washes it away.

Thoughts on what to write enter my mind and pass it, but only the ones I firmly grasp do I turn into words.

My dilemma is this…

As I turn nineteen, I notice how quickly I run up on life and try to hold it and nurture it, and it just passed me by like maybe I’ll see it later, but I know deep down I won’t. I can hardly put my pain and my joy and my heartbreak and my celebration into words, but my dog is getting older and my brother is graduating and my parents have an adult daughter and I can’t stop the fact that I’m growing up and it hurts, but I’m living.

And a tear may be rolling down my cheek, yes, but in a moment I will forget its wet traces and I’ll be experiencing what is causing me to pour my soul out on screen right now.

Life

And so now I am going to hug my dog and my brother and my friends, and I’m going to “live deep and suck out all the marrow of life” because what is gone is gone, and what is to be will be, and I can’t wait.

Roe is gone. Expand the Supreme Court before we lose all of our other rights!

I’m furious and sickened by today's ruling from the Supreme Court. Striking down Roe v Wade is just the latest example of their growing partisanship and religious extremism. We are not safe as long as this court continues to wield their power this corruptly.

Congress needs to institute Court reforms. To start, they should pass the Judiciary Act (S 1141/ HR 2584) to expand the number of judges on the court; they also need to pass the Judicial Ethics and Anti-Corruption Act (S 4177/HR 7706).

This is urgent. Our system of laws rests upon the idea that the Supreme Court is impartial. Ours absolutely is not. Do something about it. Thanks.
