Hi y'all it has been so long!!
How are you doing ? I'm BACK!!
First of all, let's talk about that taekooker author bitch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this fucker has published a book about her crazy taekook fantasy where Jimin is depicted as a bully and harasser which has created so much hate against Jimin. She claimed that she changed the names in the book, but she's promoting with the members names on platforms. She said she's going to delete the book on wattpad and blablabla blablabla... I don't even care!!
You all are SICK!! I have no words.
I want this bitch to be harassed and bullied!! I don't care!! She should taste how it feels to get hate on the internet. I want her to be bullied so much that she cancels the book and disappears from the internet ever!!
She should even unstan BTS and leave the fandom forever!
And don't come here defend her on how it's not her fault. Bitch!! Know that you are despicable cause how you gonna defend someone who created hate against your "fav" !? Fuck you and fuck her too!! I need her to suffer and cry !! I hope the harassment would be so bad that she goes to a psy cause that's will actually help her cure her mental sickness.
The audacity of making money using the boys with her twisted fantasy. FREE JIMIN, FREE JUNGKOOK, FREE TAEHYUNG!!!
2Seok, HopeKook, JiHope, JiKook, JinKook, JinMin, MiniMoni, NamGi, NamJin, NamKook, NamSeok, SOPE, TaeGi, TaeJin, TaeJoon, TaeKook, VHope, VMin, YoonJin, YoonKook, YoonMin
None of these names belong to shippers. These are units' names !!
Everyone Report to HYBE
Also, report her book on Amazon

I'm not talking about members hanging out together or mentioning each other! I'm talking about how recently BH has been pushing tkk and ynm in OFFICIAL content!!
busan promotion, las vegas promotion, hs concert, group vlive where jk is wearing the blue jacket, game of money video, festa photoshoot, yoonmin show guests...
Companies only care about money >> money came from army >> most army are tkk and ynm shippers >> hence why BH is pairing them up!
Hi anon!
If I’m being honest, I forgot about a huge chunk of all of this or didn’t find it important to mention last time. Either way, my views remain pretty much unchanged. I don’t want to keep responding to you with paragraphs but I ramble a lot so bear with me😬. I genuinely don’t think taekook, yoonmin or any other ship for that matter is specifically “pushed” by BH. Like I mentioned in the last answer, many ships get paired together, like in some of the subunits you mentioned above, so i don’t see any particular favorites being pushed by BH when I look at the content as a whole. So all ships get their time and that’s evident because all ships have their shippers. They all switch around between units at times and if I’m being honest, I don’t see Taekook very often. Maybe it’s because I get distracted by other things happening, I also have my biases when watching BTS content. And (as I mentioned in my last post) if you focus on Taekook you’ll obviously see when Taekook are paired and not when other duos are despite others being paired more often than them.
I tried to quickly think and search for times when BTS broke down into smaller groups just to see. Although this definitely isn’t everything, I think this ensemble of pictures proves what I want to bring across.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These lives show a ton of different duos and trios, some of which even repeat but i didn’t see people calling namjin or yoonjin “pushed”. Why is it different for Taekook?
Another reason it’s hard for me to jump to the “x ship is pushed” thing is because i’m not sure how things happen behind the scenes. Do the members choose or does the staff tell them who to go on live with? And if so do they choose every time or does the staff tell them every time? There are too many unknowns. The live you brought up was done with the remaining members after namgimin had a live about 2 weeks before. At that point Tae was sick so he obviously couldn’t be placed in that unit, it made sense he did it with the others when he came back to work. I don’t know how the namgimin live was decided on but the one you mentioned seems to be a by-product of that one. I’m going on a slight tangent but I’d say vminhopekook’s lives are usually of their choosing and I remember them saying in the Busan(?) one that those who aren’t there would go live with Jimin because he brought up he was visiting us once a week and he wanted guests. Although those lives didn’t happen, it proves that the guys talk and choose who wants to or should go live with who so it’s hard for me to use lives and certain other content as a proof of BH’s influence since I don’t know who’s decision it was.
For some other content, I can agree with you that BH are most likely the ones choosing subunits but that’s exactly what I see them as, SUBUNITS. They switch around these all the time as well. No one is counting how many times namjin or sope or namkook are paired up so why is it done to Taekook, Yoonmin and Jikook so often. I don't even think these ships, despite having the 3 biggest shipper fandoms are seen much in duos/trios that often. Personally, if I was BH and just wanted to drain ARMYs for money, I'd put vminkook in and on everything but they don't. I am not even trying to be a company stan or anything lol, I am just looking at it from the most realistic lens I can. So while they have certain duos and trios they like for certain content, I still don’t think it’s done with the intention to trick ARMYs who like those ships into spending money. If we're going by the "pushing for money" narrative, vmin and namjin must be the biggest money-making duos because BH loves these two pairings for ads and endorsements. I hope I’m not giving anyone any ideas for y’all to start saying namjin and vmin are being pushed now lmao— LEAVE THEM ALONE!!😭😭 Don’t get me wrong other subunits do ads too, it’s just hard to sit and compare. I don't think the reason certain members are paired for certain content is that serious— maybe it’s just about chemistry and which pairings will fit which concepts or ads well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is an honest question, though. Has certain duos being in promotional content made you want to buy the product more? Like they're all over Coway ads and I still don't know what Coway sells. Mattresses? water purifiers?? Ice makers?
Tumblr media
Not an ad but...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've bombarded you with pictures, sorry but I'm having fun lol. I'll try to wrap up quickly.
You brought up "hs concert" which I assume means Harry Styles? It's not official and I can't and won't comment because I don't know why they attended the concerts in the groups they did, both in 2021 and 2023. Seems like they had fun though. Good for them. Not sure which FESTA you're talking about but all they did was touch each other in that 2023 video so... Also Jimin was basically scenting Hobi in that video and I didn't see jihope being pushed allegations. I saw the opposite in fact. It just shows how hypocritical it is because jihope has been one of the most active duos this past year or so. Finally, yoonmin doing the show together makes sense as Jimin was ending his promotions and Yoongi was starting. I didn't expect Tae to go with Yoongi or Jk to go with Jimin as they didn't have any work to publicly promote at that time.
So, all in all, I don't think there's any hidden motives. Every ship has their time and every ship does their thing, maybe some more than others but the difference isn’t drastic enough for me to pinpoint any clear agenda to push one or two ships in particular. And most ARMYs (non-shippers & OT7 non-toxic shippers) will eat up anything because all the boys have their own unique chemistry. So I guess in a way every ship is pushed😆 and the ones that stand out to you will obviously be the ones you look out most for. I can’t begin to discuss how our biases and own perspectives affect the way the content comes across because it really does and as a shipper, it’s important to be aware of it.
Thanks for the ask anon! I had a lot of fun finding these pictures:))
~~🐝
The purpose of my answer (and all my posts tbh) isn’t to throw any pair under the bus or make others seem better. It shouldn’t and I hope it doesn’t come across that way. All I want to do is be a small voice of reason and hopefully show some shippers that a lot of their theories come of hypocritical when they compare some duos but not others, not that any should be compared in the first place.

"What do you want for dinner, Jagiya?" Yoongi asks, one hand scrolling through delivery menus on his phone and the other rubbing his husband's noticeably round bump. The local news is playing on the TV, but neither one is paying attention. Seokjin's been resting on Yoongi’s lap all afternoon. The younger's legs have been asleep for probably too long, he shakes them every so often just to make sure they still work.
Seokjin turns toward the question. He shoves his face into Yoongi's stomach, batting at the drawstrings of the younger's hoodie. "Just get whatever you want," He says, but Yoongi can tell by the tone it's not what he means.
Yoongi wonders if Seokjin's upset with him. He knows he didn't do anything wrong, but those hormonal mood swings have been kicking Seokjin's ass since he entered the second trimester, and Yoongi gets the short end of the stick each time. He readies himself for another pointless and irrelevant lecture. He can't in good conscience be mad about it. The man he loves most in the world is carrying his first child. Literally, fifty percent of Yoongi is living inside of the older man. And Seokjin’s taking such good care to ensure the health of their first born. Yoongi would be a fool to let a few hormone-fueled lectures sway his admiration.
Still, he wants to tread lightly. Because even though Yoongi doesn't care about the mood swings and the tiny tantrums, Seokjin does. Despite how many times Yoongi assures him that he understands and that he's not upset, Seokjin always feels so guilty afterwards. Guilty to the point that he weeps and sobs and convinces himself that he's a terrible husband and he's sure he's going to be a terrible father. It's just another hormone induced mood swing, Yoongi knows, but that kind of stress is not good for the baby. So Yoongi aims to avoid it whenever possible.
Yoongi moves his hand away from Seokjin's stomach and into his hair, threading gently through the tangled strands. "You don't have a preference?" He asks again, gently with no hints of judgment. He knows Seokjin's not usually a picky person. But he's never known Seokjin to not want input on dinner.
"Nope. I'll eat whatever you eat." Seokjin latches himself onto Yoongi's waist. He's needy, clingy. He wants Yoongi's attention, but he's too shy to ask. It’s another type of mood swing. But Yoongi actually loves this one.
Yoongi figures there's something on the tip of Seokjin's tongue. He wants to say something. He assumes it's a dinner recommendation. But Seokjin wants Yoongi to pry it out of him. They've played this game before. Yoongi's had more success prying open sealed clam shells than getting his hyung to ask for something.
It's times like these that Yoongi falls back on reverse psychology. Seokjin has a diverse palette, he rarely ever turns down food. But Yoongi knows a few things that Seokjin prefers not to eat. "I'm in the mood for fried tofu," he starts.
Seokjin pulls a face of disgust. He hates the texture of tofu. Even more so since the pregnancy has been messing with his taste buds. Yoongi sees Seokjin's displeasure and he's satisfied with the response. "Alright. So you don't want tofu. What do you want then?"
Seokjin sits up to face Yoongi on the couch, he's fiddling with his hands in his lap like he's in trouble, like he's guilty of some high profile crime. The older man pouts as he explains, "I don't want anything…"
Yoongi knows where this is going, "But…" He spares a small glance to Seokjin's belly urging him to continue.
"But," Seokjin palms his lower belly, "Agi is hungry for a hot pot." Seokjin's made a habit of blaming their baby on all of his cravings. A hot pot in the middle of July isn't even the most out-there request he's made in the past few months.
Yoongi laughs out loud, bellowing laughter that makes Seokjin feel just a tad less guilty. "Jagiya, you know it's like 33 degrees today, right? We're in the middle of a heat wave."
Seokjin's quick to defend himself, "I tried to tell her that. But she already doesn't listen to me." He jokes, keeping his palm over his bump. "She's really set on a hot pot."
Yoongi takes one of Seokjin's hands and kisses the knuckles. They’d received the sex of the baby just a few days prior and Yoongi was over the moon at the confirmation. He secretly wanted a daughter. He wants a little princess to spoil. But he wouldn’t have been disappointed with a boy either. He’s just happy to be a father. But when Seokjin refers to the little one in his belly as their daughter, it activates some primal paternal instincts he's never needed before. He can’t help but give in.
"Then I guess we're having hot pot," he picks up his phone and goes back to scrolling through delivery options, "does Agi have somewhere specific in mind?"
"Actually…" Seokjin's back to fiddling with his fingers and it pulls Yoongi's attention back, "Agi wants it homemade. And with beef. Please."
"What a little diva she's becoming," Yoongi chuckles with a wide smile. He wants to keep the mood light, he wants Seokjin to know it's okay to have cravings and it's okay to ask for them. Even if he wants a boiling meal on a boiling day.
But he's only ever cooked hot pot once before. And he doesn't remember it tasting that good. Nothing like his mother's homemade hot pot. Not to mention that he doesn't know if they have all the ingredients in the kitchen. Their schedules keep them plenty busy. When was the last time they were in a grocery store?
Seokjin seems to sense Yoongi's uneasiness, "You don't have to, Yoongi. I know you're tired. I'm really okay with whatever you want to order." He looks down like he's talking to the baby, "Maybe we can have a hot pot when the rainy season comes around. It's not too far away." Seokjin's already shame-spiraling for asking. Yoongi will absolutely not allow it.
"Jagiya, love. Look at me," Yoongi lifts Seokjin's chin with a finger to meet his eyes. "If Agi wants a hot pot, then Agi gets a hot pot. Made from scratch by her second favorite appa. With the finest beef we probably have in the kitchen."
Seokjin's floored by the suave charisma of the one and only Min Yoongi. He's seen it a handful of times, specifically since they found out he was pregnant. It’s a different kind of sentiment than the usual calm, cool, collected, little-rough-around-the-edges Min Yoongi. In these moments, there are no walls up between them. Yoongi has nothing to prove, nothing to hide. He knows this is Yoongi's most raw, most pure expression of love. He swoons. "Thank you, Jagi. I'll make it up to you."
"No repayment necessary, love. Remember this is for Agi." He stands off the couch, ready to take on the task, "And what Agi wants, Agi gets. Every. Single. Time."
"And if Agi wants kisses…" Seokjin puckers his lips while his cheeks flood pink.
Yoongi smirks, taking a few steps to close the distance between them. He runs a knuckle against Seokjin's jaw line and leans in. He can feel Seokjin's nervous breath against his nose. He can see the rapid pulse in Seokjin's neck. "What Agi wants," he whispers, lips centimeters away from Seokjin's. The older man quivers in anticipation.
Yoongi drops to his knees in one swift motion and lifts the hem of Seokjin's shirt, exposing the protruding bump. He presses a kiss just below Seokjin's belly button, "Agi gets." He finishes with his lips still pressed to Seokjin's flesh. Yoongi scatters a few more kisses just for good measure before Seokjin swats him away.
"Min Yoongi, you are such a tease!" Seokjin's trying to pretend that wasn't the most adorable thing he's ever seen Yoongi do. Because he wants to be mad those kisses weren't his. But it's hard to be mad at Yoongi with his soft lips still tickling Seokjin's belly and his melodic laughter filling the air between them.
Yoongi picks himself up and presses against Seokjin's side. The hot pot will have to wait just a few more minutes. He coos, nuzzling into Seokjin's broad shoulder. "What's the matter, baby? Jealous you didn't get any kisses?" If Seokjin's going to call him a tease, then he best play the part. He leans in and whispers into Seokjin's ear. "All hyung has to do is ask."
Seokjin melts into a puddle like snow on a hot day. Yoongi's rough voice tickles his ear and he needs. He turns to face Yoongi with pouty lips and batted lashes. "Please." It's as close as he'll to get to begging.
That's all Yoongi needs to continue. He grabs a fistful of Seokjin's hair from the base of his neck and pushes his face closer until their lips meet. Neither wants to be the first to pull away, so they stay pressed against each other. Making small movements just to take in air and give attention to every millimeter of each other's lips. They continue until Seokjin's stomach rumbles. It reminds them both of how their little moment started.
Yoongi's first to back away, releasing Seokjin's hair and smoothing it out. He's still wearing a wide smile on his soft features. "Sounds like Agi's hungry. I better get cooking." He keeps Seokjin's hand in his as he walks away. Until he steps too far to reach and he disappears behind a bend in the wall.
Seokjin's left wondering what exactly he did in his past life to deserve a man like Min Yoongi.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yoongi's scrolling through recipes online. He's hung up on the cook time of the dish. He needs to marinade the meat for at least two hours. And they've already delayed the meal enough. He knows Seokjin is hungry now. And he doesn't want to keep his love waiting. Cravings can be fleeting. He doesn't want to go through all the effort just for Seokjin to change his mind.
He's relieved to find some sliced beef in the freezer and gets to work on defrosting it. He needs to be quick with that so he can get it marinating. What good is flavorless beef in the hot pot. At the same time, he’s preparing the marinade and setting a stock pot on the burner. He needs to get the homemade broth. He's following the recipe down to the T. He wants this to be a meal Seokjin will enjoy.
With the meat marinating and the stock brewing, he takes a breather to finish reading through the recipe. He’s as caught up as he can be. He will soon need to start chopping the vegetables and soaking the noodles. But he has time for that later. Meanwhile, Seokjin is still hungry with no end in sight. Yoongi takes it upon himself to whip up some instant ramyeon. When it's finished, he walks a tray out to Seokjin.
"It's still gonna be a bit before dinner's done. I made you this to hold you over in the meantime." He sets the tray down on Seokjin's lap.
Before Seokjin can thank him, his stomach rumbles in anticipation. He giggles shyly when he thanks Yoongi and starts slurping up with noodles. The bowl is empty in minutes. Seokjin leans back on the couch, smiling with satisfaction now that his hunger has been quelled. “Aren’t you going to have a snack, too?” Seokjin asks, only now realizing that Yoongi sat beside him the whole time just watching. He feels a bit guilty not that he didn’t offer any to his husband. But he remembers that he’s technically already sharing every meal he eats with someone else. That fact eases his guilt.
Yoongi just shakes his head. He starts collecting the used dishware and puts it back on the tray. “No, I can wait until dinner. But Agi sounded a little too impatient.” He rubs Seokjin’s stomach a bit. “I hope she’ll still be hungry for hot pot.”
Seokjin’s mouth waters at the mention of the dish. “Yeah, I think she’ll still have some room,” he teases. Yoongi kills time entertaining Seokjin on the couch. He explains that the meat needs to marinate and the stock needs to settle and the whole process based on what he read on the internet. Really, making the hot pot isn’t difficult. It’s just time consuming.
Yoongi presses a kiss to Seokjin’s forehead before heading back to the kitchen. The stock should be nice and rich, the meat marinated enough. He’s ready to move on to the next step. He begins the hunt for vegetables. After searching every drawer, cabinet, and container, he finds spinach, cabbage, peppers, carrots, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, and green beans. He’s actually surprised to see they had so many fresh vegetables available; he wonders how they got there. He doesn’t remember buying them.
Regardless, he’s thankful he has them and starts chopping them into manageable bite size pieces. The recipe is easy to follow from there and in nearly no time at all, he’s got the simmering dish set up in the middle of their kitchen table. He sets out three places, just to build the habit, and calls Seokjin to the table.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seokjin can smell the meal from the living room. The savory, rich aroma of the juicy meat and hearty vegetables fills the air.  The combined fragrance of various spices adds flavor to the soup. It smells exactly like how Seokjin remembered.
His mouth is watering as he takes in the scent. But it's not watering in anticipation of the meal. His mouth is filling with thick saliva in anticipation of sickness.
The thing about Seokjin's morning sickness is that it never actually happens in the morning. He always wakes up feeling fine. He's able to get through most days without being sick. But he's not exempt from the miserable symptom in full.
Actually, Seokjin would prefer a more scheduled experience. He'd prefer if he would just know what makes him feel sick. He'd rather vomit every morning for 9 months like clockwork over dealing with what his body is currently putting him through.
He's more sensitive to foods, both the tastes and the smells. And if he encounters a trigger, it's immediate nausea that always ends in misery. He'd avoid them if he could. But there's no rhyme or reason to it. No consistency in what kinds of foods are going to trigger it.
Early in the pregnancy it was eggs. He could hardly stand to look at them without gagging. But after a few days, he ate a whole dish by himself and felt fine. Then it was Yoongi's coffee. Seafood. Onions. Pork. And now something in the hot pot is triggering him.
The ramyeon he snacked on is sloshing around in his stomach, reminding him that there's food inside that wants out. He presses his palm into his stomach, begging the churning to stop. He doesn't want to be sick today.
He thinks about Yoongi, who he can hear humming happily in the kitchen while preparing the meal. He thinks about how willing Yoongi was to satisfy his craving for hot pot. He thinks about how hard Yoongi's working to cook a meal he probably doesn't even want to eat. All because Seokjin asked him to.
He's going to be devastated if Seokjin doesn't doesn't eat. He can hear the pride in Yoongi's voice when he calls for Seokjin from the kitchen. So he mutters as much baseless confidence as he can and forces the nausea away. He knows it's a temporary solution, but it's all he can think of with Yoongi waiting for him in the next room.
"Your appa is going to kill us," Seokjin whispers down to his bump. He may also blame the bump for his current predicament. May curse her out for the poorly timed sensitivities. But he keeps those thoughts to himself.
Yoongi's smile is wide as he ladles a heaping portion into Seokjin's bowl. He makes sure to get a little bit of everything in the bowl so Seokjin can experience all the flavors. Once he's got Seokjin taken care of, he ladles himself a smaller portion.
Beads of sweat are forming on Seokjin's forehead but it's easy enough to blame the boiling pot between them combined with the heat of their apartment. But in reality, the sweat is a sign of Seokjin's nausea. A warning, a consequence for trying to ignore it. "Smells great Yoongi," He tries to distract himself while he swipes his hand across his forehead. He hopes Yoongi hasn't noticed he has yet to taste it.
Yoongi beams at the compliment. He's trying to be humble, but he thinks he did really well. And most importantly, he was able to satisfy Seokjin's craving. And that's worth more to him than the hours he spent working up a sweat in the hot kitchen. "Thanks, hyung. Agi's wish is my command. I hope it satisfies her."
Seokjin raises the corners of his lips just a tad. He's reminded that Agi will not get the chance to taste it. If he's able to get any down at all, it likely won't stay there for long. He's got the nausea at bay for a moment and decides he's ready to take a bite.
He picks up a chunk of carrot with his chopsticks, believing it's the safest option. The texture is soft and easy to chew, making it easy to swallow. And it likely didn't absorb as much flavor as the rest of the dish. He still doesn't know what specific element of the meal is making him so sick. The dish is filled with so many potential triggers.
Choosing the carrot had been a mistake. The second the vegetable touches his tongue, his stomach bubbles and sloshes with rage. He's convinced the carrot is the trigger. Still, he's chewing, trying to convince Yoongi that everything is fine. He needs Yoongi to think he's enjoying the meal. Otherwise, he'll find himself on the spiraling train of thought that he's disappointed his husband.
Seokjin's racing against his stomach. It's a competition to see if he can swallow the carrot piece before anything shoots up his esophagus. But sadly, as he continues to take slow and measured bites, his stomach rebels and he feels thick liquid climbing up his throat.
He considers booking it to the bathroom, but the kitchen sink is so much closer and he knows he's out of time. So comfort and dignity be damned, he sprints to the kitchen sink and heaves up the undigested remains of ramyeon.
He heaves again, and a third time before he notices Yoongi beside him. Though Seokjin thinks he's been there since the first wave. Of course, like the Saint he is, Yoongi is coddling him. Yoongi is encouraging him to get it out, easing him through wave after wave of what looks to be everything he's eaten since his last morning sickness episode the week before.
After eight productive heaves and three dry ones, Seokjin relents. He throws himself onto Yoongi. Yoongi cradles him, guiding him back to his chair at the table.
As soon as he's back at the table, his senses are bombarded with the stench of the hot pot again. He’s thrown immediately back to a nauseous mess. He falls off the chair onto all fours. His mouth is hanging open, droplets of saliva making small puddles on the floor. It feels like his stomach is being pressed into a juicer. But there's nothing left to push out, no matter how hard it's squeezed. It doesn’t know when to quit,
The pressure makes him gag, dry and grating against his already irritated throat. His back is fully arched in pain, tears mixing in with his saliva puddles on the floor. All the force eventually expels thin streams of bile into the mix as well. In these moments of sheer agony, Seokjin can only think about how Yoongi will be stuck cleaning the mess.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seokjin's memory is missing pieces, because next thing he knows he's in their bedroom, slouching against the mattress. Yoongi's beside him, running fingers through his hair and rubbing gentle patterns on his exposed stomach. He looks at his husband's soft, sympathetic smile and caring gaze.
Yoongi swipes a hand across Seokjin's forehead. It's warm, but probably just from the effort. He accepts that it was just another bout of morning sickness. "Are you feeling better now?" There's no malice, only softly spoken words meant to help him be okay.
Seokjin immediately starts crying anyway. In between hiccuping sobs, Yoongi can make out a few little phrases. "So sorry…you cooked…the smell…and Agi…belly hurt…the carrot…didn't mean it…good to me…I'm sorry…my fault." He can sort of paint a picture of what Seokjin’s so upset about. He scoops the older man into his lap with ease, resting Seokjin's head in the crook of his neck. Seokjin's using his shoulders as a tissue to wipe his leaky eyes and nose but Yoongi couldn't care any less.
He shushes Seokjin, gently rocking side to side. He plants a kiss on every inch of skin he can reach without moving his husband too much. "Hey, hey, it's okay. You're okay. Everyone is okay. Everything's fine." Yoongi repeats the same gentle mantras until Seokjin stops shaking with sobs. When Seokjin seems calm enough to hold a conversation, Yoongi continues. "You don't need to apologize for anything, love. Something just didn't agree with you. That's no one's fault."
Seokjin sniffles, "You worked so hard. And I couldn't even eat any of it."
"If you don't feel well, you don't feel well." Yoongi states matter-of-factly, like it's obvious. Because to every extent it is. So he guides his nimble fingers along Seokjin's body for comfort.
"You wanted to order out. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if we just ordered something." Seokjin rambles.
"You had a craving, jagiya. You didn't know it would make you sick." Yoongi counters, "That's no one's fault either." But the reassurances all fall on deaf ears.
"Please don't be mad, Yoongi. I'm sorry for wasting all that food. And for the mess in the kitchen. I'll clean it up.” Seokjin tries to pull away from Yoongi, but Yoongi tightens his grip. Seokjin abandons his efforts when he notices they’re not getting him anywhere. He settles back in before he’s hit with a blaring realization, “You didn’t get a chance to eat anything! You should get yourself something to eat."
 "Jinnie-hyung. I don't care about the stupid hot pot. I don't care about the mess in the kitchen. I don't care about wasting food. I don't care about skipping dinner. I care about you,” Yoongi’s got both hands squishing Seokjin’s cheeks. He’s forcing Seokjin to look at him. He’s forcing Seokjin to hear him, “It’s you. You and Agi are all that I care about. Always.” Seokjin’s eyes well with tears again, but these aren’t guilty tears. No, tears of admiration for his husband. “Do you understand that?” Seokjin nods, nuzzling himself back into Yoongi’s chest.
Yoongi hums in satisfaction, petting Seokjin’s head. “Good, now that that’s settled. Are you feeling better?” Seokjin hums an affirmation. “You’re all empty, Jagi. You and Agi need to eat. Think you can stomach something light, jook maybe?”
Seokjin contemplates the question before agreeing. He looks up at Yoongi, “Can you order it from that cafe in Seongdong-gu? The one where every meal is named after a different fish. And can I get a soda. Please.”
Yoongi chuckles fondly, pressing a long kiss to Seokjin’s forehead. “Anything for you, hyung.”
A/N: As always, thanks for reading to the end! Feedback is always appreciated. And please let me know if I missed any tags or TWs. Please call me out for any errors you notice!
Hi!! I’ve been racking my brain trying to find the perfect request for u but I just decided to bite the bullet lol. Do you have any new fics where one member comforts yoongi? Like maybe yoongi is sick with the flu or maybe he’s just not doing too well mentally and another member takes care of him. Along the lines of “4 o’clock” or “rest and recovery” for reference! Any yoongi x member ship is fine except for yoonmin (I’ve just read so much of yoonmin recently lol). Thank you~~
(Rest and Recovery)
I was gonna suggest this ask but they’re all Yoonmin fics LOL so i’m gonna have to go hunting for more:
Yoongi + Hurt/Comfort
hold me tight (Sugamon)
in sickness and in health by skswriting (Sugamon, Established Relationship, College AU, Sick fic, One-shot, 3.3K, T, Yoongi has a fever and Joon takes care of him)
I'm so heavy in your arms by HesterAntoniaDracolas (Yoonseok, Platonic Yoongi/BTS, 6 Chapters, 10K)
and words are futile devices by justinseagulls (Yoonjin, Canonverse, One-shot, 4.4K, G, Yoongi’s depressed and after Jin tries to help he writes Jin a note)
Hope these help!
"So what is it?"
"What's what?"
"Well, how do you feel? What's up with you?"
I sighed, rubbing my stomach slightly, which did nothing. Helpful.
"My stomach feels like a crappy fairground ride. My head also feels like a crappy fairground ride. And I feel like a fucking furnace, apparently."
you're writing so much i'm so happy. could you do 7B yoongi?
7B - homemade emetics
-
yoongi was a bit concerned when he walked into the living room to see the maknae line all sitting around a glass of water, staring at it as if it held the world’s secrets.
“what are you kids doing?” he sighed, walking up to them.
taehyung shrugged. “we found something on the internet that we wanted to try, but we are all too cowardly to go through with it.”
jungkook glared at him. “it’s your idea so i say you go through with it.”
yoongi rolled his eyes. “what are you trying to do? move that glass with your eyes?”
jungkook shook his head. “someone has to drink that as fast as they can and see what happens.”
“that’s it?”
“yeah, that’s really it,” jimin agreed. “which is way jungkook should have no problem drinking it.”
this lead to a heated debate amongst the three, voices slowly getting louder. it was starting to annoy yoongi.
so he grabbed the glass and put it to his lips, chugging down the drink. it tasted disgusting and made him want to gag but he forced it down. when he was done, his mouth was dry and salty.
“you guys were really fighting over who had to drink a glass of saltwater?”
the maknaes were staring at him both in shock and anticipation. however, when it became clear that nothing was going to happen, they all sagged in disappointment.
“we’re sorry, hyung. it was stupid,” taehyung apologized.
yoongi set the glass down. “spend your time on more productive things, okay?”
they all nodded and soon dispersed, taking yoongi’s advice seriously.
yoongi sighed, long and deep. the kids were always a handful.
-
it was barely twenty minutes later when yoongi began to feel off.
he was sitting in his shared room with seokjin. the older was playing video games while yoongi was working on some tracks.
he found his focus wandering, instead turning its attention to the unsettling rumbling in his belly. he frowned; it had been a while since he had eaten, so any food shouldn’t be bothering him now. he didn’t feel hungry.
yoongi shifted positions, moving so that he was sat hunched over his stomach. the discomfort eased and he was thrown back into his work.
it didn’t last for long, however.
with little warning, he jolted with a loud hiccup. whatever progress he was making on his track was completely forgotten. instead, the hiccup brought to attention just how nauseous he felt.
he hiccuped some more, each one followed by a hard swallow as he tried to keep his mouth from watering.
he pulled the headphones off his ears, overwhelmed by the sensation. his hands shakily came up to cradle his stomach, feeling it tense with each hiccup.
he squeezed his eyes shut then blinked fast as he opened them, trying to refocus his senses. it didn’t help. all he could focus on was how nauseous he was and how he was so close to vomiting.
his gaze wandered over to the nearby waste bin. he stared at it, contemplating whether or not to grab it, when his body decided it had enough.
he hiccuped wetly before bringing up a mouthful of vomit right onto his lap, making him shudder in disgust for a second before he was retching and bringing more up vomit.
distantly, he heard seokjin swear. within seconds, there was the waste basket under his chin, catching his vomit.
it didn’t last too long, thankfully, but his clothes were still ruined. he panted, swallowing back the last bits of nausea as his stomach settled down.
that’s when he remembered the drink and how odd and salty it tasted.
seokjin massaging his neck, concerned for the rapper. “you feeling sick? what’s wrong?”
yoongi simply sighed and said: “i’m going to kill the maknae line.”
oh, darling
He must have been a sight - eyes red and puffy, trembling slightly, visibly sweaty, arms wrapped loosely around his stomach, hunched over and leaning on Seokjin for support. He didn't care though; all he saw were his brothers around him.
OR
Yoongi has a panic attack. He doesn't need to worry, though, because his family is always there to piece him back together.
xxx
! warning for descriptions of vomiting and panic attacks ! do not read if this triggers you !
xxx
The day stretched by unbearably long for Yoongi. Every second was multiplied tenfold, exaggerated by the constant humming underneath his skin and the spastic beat of his heart. He wanted it to be over.
Sometimes he woke up anxious for no reason - today was one of those days. But it was worse than usual; this time, his body was basically vibrating with tremors and his stomach felt constantly two seconds away from being shown where the world could see it. What's worse, though, is that it lasted for hour upon hour until he felt so bad that he was just about ready to call it quits and go home. Sitting in his studio curled up on his couch wasn't getting him anywhere.
But then a meeting was called. Of all times, it had to be now?
Yoongi swore that time always just wanted to fuck him over.
It was around noon now and all seven members had been called into the meeting room with a few managers, something about discussing slight schedule changes, nothing that was too drastic or important. But to Yoongi, it couldn't have been worse. The shortness of his breath and the panicked feeling in his chest wasn't going away and he didn't know just how he was supposed to sit through an hour-long meeting in his state. He didn't know how he was supposed to be able to keep up with the conversation, remember details, and answer questions.
He was going to make himself look like an idiot, someone who couldn't handle a little bit of nerves. The thought of that just made everything worse.
Before the meeting started up officially, Namjoon, who was next to him, touched his shoulder gently. Yoongi's whole body startled at the contact, attracting more than a few stares from both his brothers and the managers. Looking a bit concerned and a lot guilty, the younger man leaned in and whispered, "Hyung, do you need to leave?" Of course, the others knew of his issues and offered help in any way they could. He knew that they would be able to get him out of the meeting with no judgment. But what would the managers think? How would they view him if he made up an excuse that he was sick, weak, or anything related to the topic?
He had to sit it out. It would only be an hour long, he could handle it.
So he shook his head no and stared contentedly at the desk in front of him, gripping the sides of his plastic chair to hide the tremors. He could hear Namjoon whispering to Seokjin and could feel a few gazes on him, which didn't help in the slightest. Before he could say anything about it, though, the last manager walked into the room and shut the door behind him, signifying the start of the meeting.
They all stood and bowed customarily, Namjoon steadying him as if he could tell his hyung was about to fall over. Soon enough they were back in their seats, but Yoongi felt like everything was still moving. The pressure in his head felt like it was going to explode and his stomach churned as if he were on a ridiculously bumpy car ride. And, damn it, why couldn't he get a grip on his breathing? Everything was so wrong all at once and he wanted nothing more to leave and find somewhere where there were no people saying things he couldn't quite hear over the blood rushing in his ears.
The unwanted adrenaline in his system surged suddenly and Yoongi felt himself grip at the seat of his chair with both hands, white-knuckling the plastic rim. His whole body was overtaken by tremors; he shook his leg frantically to try and rid of the feeling. Nausea licked at his stomach and he prayed that he wouldn't be sick right there on the floor. Yoongi was dizzy now, but he bit the inside of his lip and commanded himself to sit up straighter and ignore it.
Ignore it, ignore it, ignore it. You're fine, calm down, calm down.
One of the managers suddenly stopped halfway through what he was saying and looked at him. "Yoongi-ssi, are you alright?
His head snapped up at the sound of his name, his entire body going rigid. Yoongi gripped at his seat harder and gave a tight smile. "Ah, of course manager-nim."
The manager gave him a quick smile in return and turned back to the rest of them, continuing his previous speech.
Yoongi was positive that he was about to vomit now. The confrontation made his heart jump into his throat, and thankfully not anything more than that. His head swam and his esophagus tightened until he felt like he was wheezing for air, but he was thankfully remaining mostly silent. He didn't know how long he sat there, trying to breathe and swallow the nausea down while the others spoke around him. Yoongi nodded and agreed when the time was right on autopilot, but inside he was a whirlwind of panic, unable to feel anything else. But then the meeting was over and he was bowing again and the managers had left, all of it a blur because the only things he could feel were the anxiety and the urge to vomit.
He was out of his seat in seconds, again on autopilot, seeing and registering nothing. Yoongi half-jogged down the hall, took a right, and stumbled into the public bathroom.
Finally, finally, he was alone. He could let himself break down. Stumbling over to the sink, he gripped at the countertop with two wildly shaking hands. He couldn't breathe and his breath was coming now in short, ragged pants.
He couldn't breathe, he couldn't breathe!
A choked cry escaped his mouth as Yoongi sunk to the floor, lightheaded and overwhelmed with nausea. He knocked his head against the cabinets in front of him one, two, three times, each one getting harder. He needed something, anything to make it stop. But then there was something soft between his forehead and the fake plastic-coated cabinet - Seokjin's hand. Another hand was on his back, rubbing up and down soothingly.
Gripping at his hair in desperation and fear, he curled tighter into a ball and tried to speak.
"H-Hy..." It was barely audible against his wheezing breath and soft cries in between, but Jin could tell he couldn't speak. It only made the younger man panic more.
He pitched forward with a dry sob caught in his throat, breathing harder and faster until black spots danced in his vision. Hands were on him, holding him up, but now they were burning his skin. Yoongi pushed them away blindly and they obeyed, staying at a distance. Tears were streaming freely down his face now, and oh God, he felt like he was going to die. Dizziness was a constant as his pulse raced and his stomach churned. He couldn't breathe!
Yoongi felt his stomach contract against his hand and he leaned forwards, a dry heave grating hard at his throat. The hands were on him again, but this time he let them lead him up and move him until he was kneeling in front of one of the toilets inside a stall, barely registering the water as he stared into it. Jin's hands ran up and down his spine slowly and gently, coaxing him to relax.
But there was no way he could relax. Yoongi was hyperventilating still, feeling his stomach in his lungs as he choked on sobs. He pitched forward with a deep gag, coughing and spitting up nothing but saliva, which dropped down into the water below him. Yoongi choked on another dry heave so hard that his throat clicked, reaching back blindly until he was gripping Jin's hand. He was so terrified.
The next heave was finally productive. His stomach contracted and a trickle of sour vomit rushed from his mouth and dripped into the water below; it was clear that he hadn't eaten all day. Still breathing hard, Yoongi lunged forward to vomit again, spine arching underneath Jin's hand. This brought up more stomach acid and bile, painting the inside of the porcelain with sick splatters. Saliva stringed from his mouth as he panted over the water, finished for the time being.
The hand that Yoongi didn't have in a death grip Jin used to wipe his face with a wad of toilet paper, cleaning up around his mouth and dabbing the tears from his cheeks. Yoongi could barely hear words being spoken to him over the rushing of blood over his ears. Panic still engulfed him and he drew his knees up to his chest, hyperventilating. But he was slightly more present than before, the pain of vomiting bringing him back to the present.
Slowly, very slowly, his tears tapered off and the burning underneath his skin dulled down to a slight buzz. Yoongi was sure he had broken something in Jin's hand and forced himself to let go of it, bringing his trembling hand up to hold his head instead. Seokjin sat on his haunches next to the younger man, rubbing along his spine and speaking softly.
"Are you back with me, Yoongi-ah?" he asked softly, feeling him start to move underneath his touch. Yoongi nodded slowly, leaning his head back onto the cubical wall and breathing deeply. His hyung ran his long fingers through his fringe, touching him so gently that Yoongi was nothing more than putty underneath his hands. "Oh, darling," he cooed. "That one was bad, wasn't it?" Jin slipped an arm over his shoulders, rubbing his arm soothingly.
"'M sorry," Yoongi breathed, head lolling and arms wrapping around his aching stomach. He was absolutely exhausted.
"Don't be sorry, baby. You're okay now." Jin continued his ministrations for a few minutes, letting his dongsaeng catch his breath before he spoke again. "Let's get you cleaned up, hmm?"
Yoongi usually didn't like to be babied, but this was the one exception. He needed to be handled with care in his fragile state of mind. So he let Jin flush his mess down the toilet, help him up, and carry his weight over to the sink where he let the water run cold. His hyung passed him an open water bottle, aiding his shaking hands to put the rim to his lips. Of course, Seokjin had thought to bring a water bottle. He took a few sips before lowering it, still not trusting his stomach, and let Jin cap it and set it aside.
"You're sweating, Yoongs. Let's get you out of that hoodie."
Seokjin maneuvered his sweatshirt around his head and pulled it off for him, draping it over the countertop and immediately returning to give his dongsaeng more physical affection. Yoongi hummed in relief as he massaged the nape of his neck and the base of his shoulders that had been aching from holding hours of tension. After a few minutes, the singer slipped his arms around the younger's waist, hugging him from behind and gaining full-body contact. Jin kissed Yoongi's cheek from over his shoulder, disregarding how sweaty he was and how he still smelled like puke, holding his slightly shaking form tighter than before.
"Come on," Jin murmured, removing his arms from around Yoongi's waist and guiding his dongsaeng's hands to the sink. "Wash your face, it'll make you feel better." The rapper complied, leaning over and cupping cold water from the sink in his hands to splash on his face. His hyung was right; the water cooled his flushed face and washed the sweat and left-over vomit away, leaving him feeling much better and less gross than before. Not at 100%, but much better.
Jin ran his fingers through his hair as Yoongi dried his face with a towel, leaning against the sink when he had finished. The older man kissed him gently on the forehead, looping an arm around his shoulders and enveloping him in a hug. He felt himself melt into Seokjin's embrace, head resting on his hyung's broad shoulders. He was glad that he didn't need to explain anything to him. Jin knew and accepted and let him remain silent until he felt okay enough to speak up; Yoongi couldn't have been more grateful for that.
After a minute, Seokjin spoke up. "Are you ready to go now?" Hesitantly, Yoongi nodded into his shoulder. He was still shaky, but most of the panic had been replaced with pure exhaustion. All he wanted was to go home and sleep. "Okay, sweetheart."
Jin led him out of the bathroom, arm still around Yoongi's shoulders to carry most of his weight. Head down, Yoongi followed blindly along until they reached the door of the conference room, which Seokjin opened and guided him inside. Immediately, all of the hushed conversation died off and five pairs of eyes were on him. He would have been a lot more self-conscious and embarrassed if he weren't almost dead on his feet. He must have been a sight - eyes red and puffy, trembling slightly, visibly sweaty, arms wrapped loosely around his stomach, hunched over and leaning on his hyung for support. He didn't care though; all he saw were his brothers around him.
Hoseok was the first to get up, moving towards him and holding out his hands. "Oh, my hyung," he exclaimed softly, gathering Yoongi up in his arms. He returned the embrace, sighing quietly as Hoseok reached up to pet his hair. "My hyung's been through such a hard time, hmm?" Hobi was always the best with verbal reassurance, sweetly and calming giving him credit for how bad he was feeling. If there was anyone he didn't have to pretend around, it was his oldest dongsaeng.
Jimin came up to him next, wrapping his short arms around his waist and peppering his jawline with gentle kisses. His expression was full of pain, feeling the pain of his hyung in every aspect. He hated when Yoongi got like this and knew Yoongi hated it too, so he whispered soft reassurances in his ear in between small pecks along his face.
Taehyung was next, nearly jumping on him despite Seokjin's scolding. He hung on to Yoongi's neck koala-style, burying his face in his hyung's neck. "Hyungie," he whined holding him tightly as if he would slip away from him if he didn't. The rapper hugged him back, hands exploring along his back. "I'm okay, Tae." The younger simply nuzzled in further, breathing in his scent.
Namjoon approached him after Tae released him, slowly pulling Yoongi into a hug, hands rubbing small circles into his back. "I'm sorry, Yoongi hyung," he murmured. He knew that Namjoon felt bad every time this happened, hating that his hyung had to experience such intense bouts of panic. "'S okay, Joonie. I'm okay."
Jeongguk was on him next, rushing up to him and holding his hyung tightly to his chest. Yoongi felt absolutely tiny in his arms despite the fact that he was much older. "Woah, Gguk," he mumbled, stepping back to keep his balance. The maknae didn't respond, simply craning his head down and pushing it onto Yoongi's shoulder. It was only times like these that Jeongguk showed how young he really was. Like a child, nothing hurt worse than seeing those he loved hurt. "I'm alright," the older man reassured. The youngest continued to cling onto his hyung; he wouldn't be leaving his side for the rest of the day, most likely.
Jin ran a hand up Jeongguk's back, signifying for him to step back. Reluctantly, he released his hyung, instead holding his hand. Seokjin stepped up to Yoongi, running a hand through his hair. "Let's all get back to the dorm, hmm?"
Everyone made a noise of agreement, Yoongi simply nodding tiredly. He let Jin guide him out of the door as the maknae held his hand. All of his brothers surrounded him, protected him from anything that could possibly happen on the short journey back to the van. The last of the anxiety finally drained from his chest as he looked around at all of them. He was safe now, safe in the loving care of his brothers.
at the tips of our entwined fingers
Yoongi’s a special sort of person– the kind of person who steadfastly refuses to say “I love you” but will drive three hours out of his way simply to pick up Hoseok’s favourite brand of muscle-ache cream or will postpone actual real-life work just to make sure Taehyung’s consumed something other than passion fruit bubble tea for the day. He didn’t sleep for a week when Jungkook got sick with the flu, and once he spent eight hours in the studio with Namjoon going over one single chord progression just because Namjoon needed him. Yoongi goes to every single one of Jimin’s dance performances even when they coincide with other appointments, and he’s brought Seokin to all his favourite restaurants in Seoul under the guise that he “doesn’t want to eat alone, hyung, please you’re doing me a favour.”
Seokjin thinks he’s not sure in particular, as he watches Yoongi unravel himself from the blanket to join Namjoon in rooting heavily against Monopoly due to capitalistic overtones, why he fell in love with him. He does know, however, that he never stood a fucking chance
***or; a non-linear account of yoonjin falling in love with all the parts of one another that you can read here on my ao3!
i’m really anxious because my period cramps are making me nauseous and shaky :( which isn’t good for my emetophobia— do you have any soft yoonjin headcanons you can share to make me feel a lil better? ur amazing
OMG IM ON MY PERIOD TOO IT SUCKS!!! 😖😖😖😖
here you go boo, stay strong! drink lots of water, take some painkillers and a warm shower ❤️
yoonjin are that couple that you have no idea how they got together. they’re polar opposites and yet they are a match made in heaven. they’re perfect for each other.
neither are squeamish so that’s very helpful when they’re up at night if one of them is puking.
seokjin gets bad hangovers because he goes all out when he drinks. yoongi has had to hold back his hair many a times from a wild night out! yoongi just gets really bad headaches and a little queasy but he doesn’t actually puke from it.
yoongi pukes when he’s way too anxious. seokjin is the perfect caregiver because he’s that friend that will drop whatever he’s doing to take care of his sick friends. he’ll hold his boyfriend’s hair and once yoongi is done throwing up, jin will cuddle him to sleep after he helps him to eat something light and warm, like soup.
both of them have gotten sick from something that yoongis made before. he’s not a bad cook, he just left it out for too long before reheating to eat 😭
yoonjin is everything. i don’t make the rules.
First off, I LOVE YOUR WORK! Seriously one of the best writers here. Can I request a feverish SJ? Maybe they’re at rehearsals and he’s freezing cold. He bundles in his hoodie but it’s not enough. So he borrows a sweater from jk, yg maybe too. The members are oblivious to sj being sick as a dog until they realize he’s put on so many layers of clothing. Fever, slight emeto? Maybe jk and yg as main caretakers? 💜
💜💜💜 Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! I loved this prompt. Wearing other's clothing is one of my favorite tropes! I hope this pleases!
Pairing: Jinkook || Yoonjin || Yoonkook - platonic
Words: 1508 (counting this as a drabble even though it's 8 words over)
Warnings: Fever || Emeto || Sick Member || Graphic(ish) Descriptions of Illness
Management told them to dress warmly. They said it was going to be cold and they should dress in layers. So they did. Each of them came to the stage fully layered up. Taehyung even had gloves on. They knew they’d be out there for a while. They had to test all their choreography on the new stage. They had to make sure they had enough space, make sure they take advantage of all the space. Make sure everyone knows how to move around on the new stage. Everyone needs to be comfortable moving around on stage. They had to test all the lighting and sound equipment. It could turn into a long day.
But the sun comes out, heating up the arena. And as they move around and practice their choreography, their layers become too much. As they start to build up a sweat, running up and down the stage, working on choreography, learning the timing. Each member abandons layers of their clothing, casually throwing them to the sides of the stage. Thankfully, they’re all prepared with t-shirts to continue the rehearsal. There’s no time for a costume change.
Everyone is sporting the tour’s official merchandise t-shirt, except for Seokjin. Seokjin’s still wearing his hoodie. And when it’s not his turn, he wanders the stage collecting the coats of the other members. Not because he loves cleaning up after the members. Not because stray clothes on the stage could become a tripping hazard. But because he’s positively freezing.
Yoongi's sweatshirt, Hoseok's windbreaker, Namjoon's cardigan, Jimin's flannel, Taehyung's trench coat, and Jungkook's leather jacket. He’s got them all wrapped around him, in addition to his own hoodie. And he’s finally warm. He can finally stop shivering and focus on hitting the notes he’s supposed to hit. Maybe he can actually make it in time to the choreography formations. Maybe he could finally get something out of this rehearsal.
The other members giggle and laugh at Seokjin, thinking he’s just being cute and silly with all their clothes. It’s not out of character for him to be a bit out-there during a rehearsal. It helps keep all of them in good spirits. Between songs, Hoseok sneaks pictures of Seokjin all puffed up in their collective jackets. No one suspects anything out of the ordinary.
Midway through the rehearsal, clouds litter the sky. The warm sun is gone and there’s a cold breeze circling the arena. They ignore it as long as they can, letting adrenaline warm them. But soon it’s not enough and they want their layers back to get through the rehearsal. One by one, they remove the layers that Seokjin’s hoarding in order to regain their own warmth.
Seokjin starts to tear up and layer after layer is peeled off of him. He can feel the cold pricking against his skin once again, back with a vengeance. He mourns the loss of warmth when he’s left with just his own hoodie to cover his shaky frame.
Jungkook notices Seokjin’s change in mood as he puts his jacket on. He’s instantly concerned, “Hyung, what’s wrong. Why are you crying?” All the members turn to look at Seokjin.
The oldest member scrubs at his eyes and shakes his head. He doesn’t feel well. But he doesn’t want to admit it. He doesn’t want to disrupt the rehearsal. He doesn’t want to cause any delays. Overwhelmed by the 12 questioning eyes on him, he runs off the stage. Jungkook runs after him, Yoongi follows.
Seokjin starts feeling nauseous as he runs away. Maybe it’s the sudden sharp jostling motion? Or maybe it’s the drastic change in temperature? He went from having seven comforting layers to one measly hoodie. He was so warm, now he’s freezing again. It feels like he’s teleported from Hawaii to Antarctica. It’s a shocking change.
He stops at the first trash bin he sees and leans over it to expel the meager contents from his light lunch. It buys Jungkook and Yoongi time to catch up. They position themselves on either side of their hyung as he finishes vomiting. Yoongi rubs Seokjin’s back while Jungkook holds his hair and whispers comforting phrases.
Seokjin spits the last few chunks of lunch into the bin before straightening himself up. He shouldn't have raised his head so fast. Now he's seeing black spots dance across his vision and he falls back against Jungkook. Jungkook braces for Seokjin’s weight when he sees the older man start to sway.
Jungkook feels Seokjin for fever. It's hot, but he doesn't want to be the one to make that call. So he subtly gestures to Yoongi to feel too. When Yoongi presses his hand on Seokjin's forehead, he lets out a slow whistle. "Hyung, how long have you had this fever?"
Seokjin shrugs. “been cold,” he admits.
Jungkook’s eyes widened like he’s finally cracked an important case, “Is that why you were wearing our jackets, hyung?”
Seokjin nods. Yoongi clicks his tongue. “You should have said something, then.” He feels guilty that they were all poking fun at him when he really just wasn’t feeling well.
“Yeah, I know.” Seokjin slurs.
Yoongi orders Jungkook to bring their sick hyung to a couch. Carrying Seokjin to the couch proves to be simple. The oldest vocalist is light, he doesn’t resist. Jungkook sets him down with care. Yoongi and Jungkook have to get back to rehearsal. They have to inform the other members of Seokjin's condition. But they want to make sure Seokjin's taken care of first. They don’t just want to drop him on a manager. Making sure he’s comfortably resting is the least they can do.
Seokjin’s shivering at the loss of Jungkook’s body heat. He curls in on himself and moans miserably. Jungkook looks around the room, searching for anything they could give Seokjin to use as a blanket. He comes up empty handed. The only things around are stage costumes. Their stylists will kill him if he touches them.
Yoongi seems to have the same idea. Without a second of hesitation, Yoongi pulls his sweatshirt off and places it over Seokjin’s body. Jungkook quickly follows suit with his jacket and drapes it over his hyung. He watches as Seokjin clings to the fabrics desperately. “It’s a start,” Yoongi says to no one in particular. “Jungkook-ah, I’m going to go find a medical staff. See if you can find anything else to keep hyung warm.” Jungkook nods and Yoongi walks off.
The maknae fumbles around for a minute. He looks at the member’s bags packed into cubby spaces and decides to dump them out. Maybe some of them have extra clothes. He figures they’ll probably be upset with him for going through their things. But he’s sure they’ll understand given the situation. All the members’ belongings are in a big pile in the middle of the floor.
The first thing he sees is a pair of athletic shorts. They look like Jimin’s. He decides to swap them for the sweatpants he’s currently wearing. The fleece sweatpants would hopefully bring Seokjin more warmth. There’s a scarf that looks like something that Taehyung would wear. He wraps it around Seokjin’s neck and shoulders. There’s a beanie, a few muscle shirts, extra pairs of socks. A couple packs of hand warmers that Jungkook activates and tucks around Seokjin’s body. Someone even has a bath towel. It’s amazing, Jungkook muses, that someone thinks to pack a towel but none of them have a blanket. Pretty soon, he’s used every piece of stray fabric. He tries his best to sort the rest of the items back into individual piles to the best of his knowledge. The members can fight about it later.
Seokjin lets out a relieved sigh as he snuggles himself into the nest that Jungkook’s crafted for him. He’s finally feeling warm again. “Mmmm, thanks Jungkook-ah.” He sounds tired.
“You’re welcome, hyung.” Jungkook strokes Seokjin’s warm cheek while they wait for Yoongi to return. The maknae things Seokjin won’t last that long. He’s already trying to fight off sleep. “It’s okay, hyung. You can rest.” Seokjin doesn’t need to be told twice.
Yoongi bursts through the door with two medical staff in tow. Jungkook shushes them, signaling that Seokjin’s fallen asleep. Yoongi then approaches quietly while the medical staff start pulling out supplies. He sees the mess on the floor then moves his eyes to Seokjin. It looks like a lost and found pile. But Seokjin looks satisfied in his sleep. The rapper chuckles, “Well done, Kook.” he rustles the younger’s hair. “Come on, the medical staff can take care of him from here. We have to go tell the others.” Yoongi helps Jungkook to his feet and guides them back to the stage.
When the rest of the members hear about Seokjin’s fever, they’re all willing to sacrifice their jackets back to hyung. But Yoongi assures them that Jungkook had him covered. They won’t know what that means until after the rehearsal. But Jimin has his suspicions. Jungkook is wearing his shorts, after all.
