so the hike I went on today was a part of a social gathering for my age group.

I met this kid there (gonna use they/them pronouns for them bc my dummy self didn’t get the chance to ask before I left)

and- omg

this is like the only time I will ever like my rosacea(I typically hate it and how pink it makes my cheeks), because boy was I blushing BAD

like, I could feel it

and IS THIS WHAT BUTTERFLIES FEEL LIKE?? WHY DOES MY STOMACH FEEL ALL WEIRD AND TWISTY AND WHY DOES THIS PERSON MAKE ME WANNA SCREAM(in a good way)

We introduced ourselves as we were in line for nine-square(a game) and I was just like: o///o

I’m already an awkward person, okay, but I had no idea what the heck to say, I’m glad I got in the game before we could have much of a conversation because I know I would’ve been stuttering/stumbling over my words like crazy

and when I had to leave- OMSHSJDHS THEY SPECIFICALLY CALLED OUT AND SAID GOODBYE TO ME WHILE THEY WERE STILL IN THE GAME-

I don’t think it’s a crush yet, bc I don’t know them very well, but DANG. I DONT THINK IVE EVER REACTED LIKE THIS TO SOMEONE I THOUGHT WAS CUTE

probably i am the only person who cares about this but im such a big hater of the headcanon that sheriff sam isn’t from night vale.

like i kind of get it, i understand why one would come to that conclusion but it only makes sense on surface level. and i find it just ?? boring …?. because to me everything about sam’s mentality and the way they behave suggests that they’ve lived in night vale their entire life. they’re like an example of how badly the brainwashing and experience of an upbringing in night vale can just,, destroy ur sense of humanity and trust in other people. idk. like yeah they perpetuate the system but pretty much solely because of how it ended up effecting them specifically. the idea that they just come from somewhere else and just happen to be really weird and neurotic anyways is boring and genuinely serves no narrative purpose.

and also at that point in the story how does it make any logical sense that night vale would allow someone from out of town into that position?? one of the major plot conflicts of that year is focused on night vale’s distaste towards outsiders. come on. and narratively?? sam is meant to represent the sentiments of the majority of night vale at that time so WHY???? would they be from somewhere else????????????????????????

Regrettably I've gotten back into Warframe. For 1999. You all know whats up.

For reference: I got into this game when there were only four warframes (and when Lotus wasn't depressed!), quit when the monetisation took a very dark turn (if you know, you know), came back cause the game pivoted and got way healthier when they started cleaning up a lot of the story, and have been sporadically going back and forth since, usually quitting when I hit a significant grind/monetisation roadblock (RAILJACK. NECRAMECH.)

I did not realise how much main quest I had to get through to access 1999. I just crunched through building a necramech, paid three dollars to rush build, and did the entirety of the new war in one sitting. I am so tired.

Anyway I don't know what the FUCK is going on in this game anymore.

I don't remember this guy and I'm still confused as to why he looks like that. Why'd he have Ballast on a fucking leash at the new war prologue and then became scared of him later??
