Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been thinking a lot about Ratio still but unfortunately, none of my thoughts are coherent and I'm basically just screaming in my head. Anyway, I wanted to look at a few voice lines.

His 'Added to team with Herta' line is as follows

It's stated in his character story that he consistently refers to himself as a 'mundanite' (even the scroll he gives Aventurine in Penacony is referred to as Mundanite's Insight) however this line I feel divulges more into that mindset.

Despite his numerous accomplishments, his choice of words here tells that he still finds himself feeling unsure about himself when around Genius Society members. Despite people canonically debating why he isn't in the Genius Society, he still feels insecure in his abilities due to his status as a mundanite.

This can be seen in his 'Added to team with Ruan Mei' line as well,

'You know more of such things than myself'

Despite that being an objective fact, it's again the choice of words that sticks out to me. Both lines hold an extremely comparative tone within them.

I also find it extremely interesting how he has Added to Team lines with Herta, Ruan Mei, and Aventurine, but the only one with a line about Ratio is Aventurine, who is the only one listed who isn't a member of the Genius Society. To me, that feels like a smaller jab at Nous' continuous disregard of him. The only non-genius has a line about him, while he has a line about all three.
