wait. episode 1 of buddy daddies starts in the future and goes through a flashback of them meeting miri. as far as we know that rei and kazuki haven't taken a new job together since episode 5 (?) and it also wouldn't make sense with the weather unless it takes place after the last episode, esp considering he says they met miri last december, so it has to take place after the 1 year anniversary of them pseudo-adopting miri

so like. the show basically has a confirmed good ending with kazuki and rei alive and presumably living with miri/involved in her life
