(Hey everyone! So this is a special starter I wanted to do in regard to the 2nd anniversary of the @ask-timid-makoto-naegi blog. I know a lot of peple did their own Memory wipe-related events already, but this is something I really wanted to do myself as a reference to Makoto and his classmates losing 2 years of their memories in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. For anyone who is wondering why I’m creating the starter here instead of timid!Makoto’s blog, please check out the promo titled “When Worlds Collide” on this blog before interacting in this post.

On another note, Timid!makoto will remember his classmates. He will just be lacking memories regarding the 2 years of things he’s said and done on his blog.

I don't think we talk enough about how traumatising the memory erased stuff is.

Like how hard must it have been for everyone to suddenly realise years of their lives were missing.

To just come to the chilling realisation someone up until an hour ago was your friend.

Has caused the apocalypse.

You think your a first year high school student but nope.

Turns out you've already graduated.

Do they even know how old they are?

You don't know what's changed in your life, what hasn't.

Byakuya's whole family company is gone.

Makoto won't know if Komaru is alive for a long time.

... Are they the only ones left?

Food's suddenly an issue.

They have nowhere else to go.

Makoto has to carry on like his friends didn't just try and kill him.

Everyone else is gone.

They won but... Did they?

And that's just the first game, the Remnants are on a whole other level.

They've caused genocide.

Killed family, friends.

And don't know who or if anyone's left.

Hajime basically lost himself and his own identity for who knows how many years and he's just supposed to just... Exist like nothing happened.

It's like waking up from a nightmare and realising it was all true.

And they don't know what their forgetting or even if they want to remember.

All of them are alive but... Is that good?

They all know who killed them, and have to go on like they didn't.

And their alive...

Nagito's back in a body that's still sick.

Does Nekomaru have a body?

Hell, Sonia's country doesn't exist anymore.

And if I'm remembering correctly, Chiaki's still gone...

... Fucking glad Makoto was here at the end to do damage control because holyshit.

He's already gone through all of this and now is helping them get through it.

Which is great but also means he went through it alone.

Komaru has all her memories in tact but has to constantly choose her words.

Lest she sends Makoto or anyone of the other survivors into a crisis.

And than you have what may be the worse case, V3.

Because Shuichi doesn't even know if anythings real anymore.

Is he real?

Is his name Shuichi Saihara?

How many times has he died?

Is this the real world? What even is the real world?

Am I even a detective? Is all of my personality fake? Who am I? What was made for the show and what's real?

Does it even matter?

Do I have a family? How old am I? How long is 53 seasons? Are my friends still my friends, are they the same?

Is any of this real? Am I real?

If V3 ends like Danganronpa 2 did, is Kaede alive?

Do they remember each other? Is Kaito still sick?

Was Tsumugi ever a friend?

And again, knowing exactly who killed who.

..... You know people give Junko a lot of credit for causing despair.

As she deserves.

But her boyfriend deserves just as much because... Holyshit my dude this is sick.

Her boyfriend was, Yasuke Matsuda the Ultimate Neurologist.

Aka the dude responsibile for all the memory wipes.

Shame she killed him because talk about a power couple.

Causing the end of the world and lasting trauma to everyone involved.

Makoto gonna have to go give everuone therapy while also desperately needing therapy.

The Beginning of the phantom foundation (Story )

Shuichi was in the future foundation headquarters reading a book nearby his computer when he notices Hajime and Makoto and Komaru come in walked closer to him. Hajime looked at shuichi and the rest and said” Hello everyone I have something important to say” shuichi was curious about what that was and closed the book places it down on the desk and looked up at Hajime. Shuichi asked Hajime “What seems to be the problem Hajime that you have to call everyone here for?” Makoto looked at shuichi and said “I can answer this one shuichi we came to a decision to stop the future foundation to go after the Despair that is still around the world it's never-ending” Shuichi looked shocked after hearing this and stand up and said “So your saying we give up looking for them or hunt for them for that matter why?”

Komaru put her hand 👏 on shuichi’s shoulder “No have no idea what we have to go through shuichi like what happend to your friends will happen again” shuichi:”That’s a good reason to keep going or have you forgotten about it!!?” kyosuke munakata walked in and said “Shuichi kun we all decided on this from the beginning before you guys arrived and I think its gonna be official” shuichi Glared kyosuke down with anger written across his face then looked at Kyoko who looked at shuichi then looked away which broke shuichi in two because he looked up to her and said to everyone “You know what you guys may have given up on saving them but I haven't!!” Shuichi shouted and grabbed the book stormed out of the agency with a surprised look 👀 coming from Himiko and Maki.

"The strong must protect the sweet" Imagine Tsurugi muttering that under his breath while he loads a gun.

Now image Tsurugi outright glaring with murderous intent someone who dares look at you the wrong way.

He wouldn't kill, mind you. But as a Police Officer, he knows that intimidation tactics are almost always effective when he's wearing his uniform.

It's incredible how protective is. He's usually like that, but your shy and introvert personality can't help but push it all through the point it becomes way too obsessive. He will outright refuse to leave your side after Sdra2 events. It's unhealthy and he knows it, but please understand it's for your own good.

In his line of work, he can admit with no problem that you are a god's send. If he struggles with a case, he knows he can trust you to help him. You always tell him to not expect much from you, but you always manage to help him solve hard cases, if not outright solve them yourself.

He can't comprehend your self-deprecation at times, but he will never voice his frustration to you. You were good, an Ultimate! He liked seeing you light up every time he praised you, but he wishes sometimes that you could believe more in yourself.

Rule number one on the Kisaragi Foundation: Touch Tsurugi Kinjo's Woman without her consent, and you will fucking die. Close friends might get a pass after a trial.

Dear lord forgive someone who hurts you, even if it's by accident. In the case that anyone ever does dare to insult you, if its after Sdra2 events, he will murder on the spot. At that point the man has been broken enough to point at someone who is a menace to you as a dirty scumbag.

— At first glance people wouldn't think of you as the ultimate scholar due to your relatively lazy nature so they're quite surprised when you introduce yourself as the ultimate scholar

— Shuichi respects you and your talent knowing that you worked hard to achieve the talent even though it may not seem like it at times aka when you snooze in class, forget what the hell is happening and asking him on what's happening "Hey so this is social studies right?" — He actually asks you to tutor him a few times, you usually actually make them pay a fee but it's your boyfriend so you let him off the hook and teach him tatics/share notes with him which he is grateful for

Shuichi knows for a fact that the others ask you to tutor them almost all the time so he feels quite special when you reject them saying that you're tutoring him instead even though he "doesn't deserve" you better shut him the hell up before he becomes Nagito.2

— But one night Shuichi and you were chilling in your house, well actually it was just him chilling you said you were going to do some homework real quick which he nodded at as he read his book but something felt off

— His detective instinct is kicking in so he decided to go look for you in your room. Shuichi knocks on your door expecting a "come in" but nothing was said which caused him to worry even more

— He just enters your room without permission he'll say sorry about that later but oh god "S-S/o?!" "Oh hey" He whispered yelled as he ran towards you looking at the silk like rope that was tied all around your body "W-w-w" "It helps me focus"

— Maybe you should've said something before cause you're pretty sure you gave him a internal heartattack "Don't worry I put it on my own free will" "T-that doesn't help" you just chuckle at his reaction and kiss his cheek

— You just explain that you fidget alot when studying/doing homework so you do this which he nods in agreement and apologizes for "Oh you can stay here if you want I only have a little bit left" "A-a little bit?! S/o that's like 2 stacks--"

— Poor boy you're making him worried about your health "Ah well you see since I'm the ultimate scholar I have to have my skills updated every few days due to the fact that more students are getting better at school so I gotta one up my game" you just explained in a calm tone

— Shuichi just nods in understanding "I'll cuddle with you after alright?" He seemed to like that idea and waited for you to finish which wasn't even that long, he was impressed on how fast you can go

— As promised you and him cuddled after you finished the stacks of homework "Just remember to take breaks a-alright?" "Yes Shuichi I knoow"

HI I SAW YOUR POST ABOUT YOUR OCS FOR SHUICHIS FAMILY AND I JUST WANTED TO HEAR WHAT YOU'VE GOT BECAUSE I HAVE A WHOLE LINEUP FOR HIM TOO AND I WANTED TO COMPARE OC NOTES

Oh boy, here we go! @songoftheforest32 if you want to add anything, go ahead! I'm just going to be giving an overview of these characters.

Aunts and Uncle:

Akifumi Saihara: Shuichi's uncle, based on the canon version. Former Ultimate Child Caregiver, currently a detective. He has braincell rights, but only for detective work. Takes care of Shuichi and a good amount of his siblings.

Mei Saihara: Shuichi's aunt, divorced from his uncle. Retired teacher. Not absolutely definitely going to happen but I'm thinking of making her a wheelchair user. Takes care of Shuichi's three older siblings.

Aunt Remi: not actually related to anyone, but she's an old family friend who might as well be related to them. Takes care of the Saihara quadruplets, aka the Quad Squad.

Shuichi and his triplets (aka the Wildcards):

Shuichi: no elaboration necessary.

Tantei: based off of Maki's beta design. Ultimate Corruption Investigator. I keep describing her personality as, "if you combined Maki and Kirumi and then gave that combination a hobby of skateboarding to Starbucks."

Konosuke: based off of Shuichi's beta design. Ultimate Stand-up Comedian. Imagine you took John Mulaney and then shoved him full of dad friend vibes with dad jokes to match.

Shuichi's older siblings (aka the Pixel Seas – they're triplets):

Tatsumi: created by @salty-but-bland. Ultimate Child Therapist. Really sweet guy who always carries lollipops around for kiddos.

Hunter: not an Ultimate. Studying overseas (possibly for tattoo design?). Laid-back, mostly. Trans guy who chose his name while overseas.

Nyoko: not an Ultimate. Probably likes fashion and is a model. Human incarnation of the song "I'd Rather Be Me."

Shuichi's younger siblings (aka the Bun-buns – they're twins and an honorary member):

Ochiyo: little sister who looks up to Shuichi a lot. Likes hair styling and all sorts of animals. Twins with Gaisu.

Gaisu: little brother who is absolutely obsessed with dogs. Devours fantasy books about animals like it's no one's business. Twins with Ochiyo.

Kaeru: adopted child of Taniko (one of Shuichi's cousins). Likes frogs and is a bean. Honorary Bun-bun.

This and That (twins who are some of Shuichi's cousins):

Taniko: a detective who works for a separate agency. Lives with her twin sister and adopted daughter, Kaeru.

Michiko: a house cleaner who lives with her twin sister and niece. Doesn't talk much.

The Quad Squad (quadruplets who are some of Shuichi's cousins):

Chouko: albino. Likes historical art and lolita fashion.

Hiroki: mountain cartographer who goes on lots of hikes and adventures.

Momoka: likes fashion like Nyoko, but is more interested in making it than wearing it.

Sachie: trans girl. Wants to be a sailor.

There's not a lot of detail for some of these cause we haven't really worked them out yet! Here's a family chart I made today (with help from this picrew):
