Mams been asking abt repainting my bedroom walls for a while and yknow I think I actually would like that
#^ realised that once he takes all the posters down from his apartments corkboard#he'll have to find a place in his room to hang em up#which would require rearranging all the drawings on the wall anyway#so might as well repaint while we're there#rlly i should go for a plain bright colour bcos it is a bit tiny and could do w seeming larger#but the siren call of dark walls + single brightly wallpapered feature wall is beckoning me#but also my bedroom walls r laid out weird so idk which wall would work as a feature wall#shrug. idk. we'll see#was on woodies looking at wallpaper and i got immediately distracted by fake stained glass. i want that but wallpapwr

took a break from my main projects to do some visdev practice. have a line up for a layton fic that'll probably never see the light of day

Smash Bros'd his classic look#With some tearing on the cape cause i said so ............#at most- with the furthermost right bit- i just wanted to emphasize a feeling of 'power' hence the chunkier boots + gloves#with the first look i tried that angle with showing some arm skin buuuuttt i dont like it ...#i think the sleeveless look really only works if the outfit's black idk i cant explain it#overall the first design i tried just feels too sleek for my liking if i wanted to go for a 'power' approach#i like the 'M' i did with the legs at least. i really wanted to incorporate an M in case it wasnt clear but alas ...#tbh i might steal the boots/gloves/underwear design from myself when i draw classic magneto regularly. Hm. I've said I wouldn't in the past, but lately I've felt just a bit more open to the idea of making a cai of Dandy.
Still not super sure if people would really wanna chat that much with Dandy, but idk! Even if it's just a bit of fun for a few people! Maybe! A hard maybe.

Plato-repulsed people don't need your pity just because a relatively common bond repulses us. We know it sounds difficult but its literally something we experience on a first hand basis. #i am. messing around with things#i'm always in a weird place with my art bc i wanna try out fifty million things simultaneously but one of them at this current moment is#my lines + fluidity + speed so i'm fucking around with getting things down clearly but also quickly#but also i think there's some sort of studies i need to do but i'm not sure what..?#idk it's like. i can abbreviate and block in anatomy/proportions pretty quickly and clearly but when it comes to actually establishing#body mass in any sense i slow down considerably#which is not inherently bad bc i do enjoy the process but also. i wanna at least try to keep up with my brain#shrugs. we'll see. i'm also getting back in a mood where i wanna do a lotta traditional stuff again so who the fuck even knows#wip

2300 words!! yay!! now THATS more like it. i haven’t even quite reached the end of the opening scene, but i need to go do laundry so i’m going to have to set it down for now :( hopefully i can write more later ;;;;
#i still need a name for it also but i'm TRYING to not RUSH that#since i always end up with names sooooo early in writing#i want to hold off on naming it until i've gotten somewhere with it#we're currently in the beginning - the armistice. then we'll have the middle - the peace treaty. and finally the end - the friendship treaty#im aiming for the end part to be twice the length of the other two#so it's like. first act is the beginning. second act is the middle. and then acts three and four are the end.#not quite sure how the end is gonna go exactly but thats the current goal anyway#idk how long this fic will end up being but i was also aiming for it to be a oneshot.....#so it's either gonna be a very long oneshot or probably ~4 chapters to match up with the acts#we'll see how it goes#i'm gonna try not to post it at all until it's written also#i think maybe around 20k-25k ? would be my current guess on length#so#shrug#gotta go do laundry now tho#shh ac#wip: laurent stabs damen

#accidentally got into a bit of an argument with my sunday school teacher/youth group leader this morning#(tho I didn't see it as an argument? more of a difference of opinions? slash-me asking for clarification on his points#and opinions on mine?#but my sisters said it felt like I was arguing so. *helpless shrug* that wasn't the intention really)#but the subject was about heaven/the christian's true home#and he was saying that the descriptions of glory and splendor in Revelation (streets of gold/foundations of the city/12 gates/etc)#are all real literal actual descriptions of heaven and that's where we'll open our eyes as soon as we die#and as I'm leaning more and more into 'revelation is largely a prophetic vision and we should be careful not to take too much of it#too literally' lately#I was saying that 'heaven' as we call it is the state of being returned to perfect unity with God + the New Creation#which will be brought about after the end of days#and. yeah.#now I'm largely just confused lol#because it just seems to me like saying 'yeah as soon as I die I'm gonna wake up in a MANSION and there's gonna be JEWELRY EVERYWHERE#and GOLD STREETS and ALL THESE VERY SPECIFIC SYMBOLIC ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES#is... slightly missing the point???#I personally find it far more hopeful and attractive to say tbh idk what it's gonna be like when I open my eyes on the other side of death#BUT I know that God is going to bring me back!! I will be resurrected in a new body with a new purpose in a new *world*#and it will be every single thing I love about this world but BETTER!!! no death!! no sorrow!!! no pain!! perfect undistracted fulfillment#of my callings!!! a wonderful fantastic beautiful unbroken world and //I// will get to live in it and help cultivate it!!!!#and actually this may be a bit of a rabbit trail but I wonder why the churches I've grown up in don't seem to care that much#about the New Earth? they're all like 'YEAH HEAVEN :D :D :D GOLD STREETS 'N PEARLY GATES :D :D :D'#but never 'hey did you know that all the horrible ways we've destroyed this wonderful place that we live in now will be undone?#and we'll come back to earth but it'll be just like it was in the Garden???? isn't it cool that as much terrible stuff we inflict on#ourselves and others and God's beautiful work of creation it's STILL not more than God can redeem and remake and restore???'#bc that message seems a lot more inspiring to me? not just escapism but restoration and reclamation?#idk.
