On the same note as posts about Shrek content on cruises, I also discovered Pinocchio used to be played by an actual actor.

Which is in massive contrast to how they use a suit now:

Dressing the sidekick in the scrappy dirty sweater, lulling you into thinking Oop This Is Just Classic™ Character Design You See In Kids Movies So That Kids Know This Character is Lame! Ugh but to actually explain why hes in it and make it moving?

Giving Puss the I Let Myself Go beard to turn it into a bonding moment with Kitty, moving the plot

Kitty giving over the top threats to Perrito at first meeting but later we truly fully get how deep her trust issues run

Intro of the bears paired with their first lines, not just another lazy way for when writers set up your expectations and then break them for funnies. Through there whole interrogation scene you put together their family dynamic. also makes for some 10/10 rewatchability given their arc

Using the ship in a bottle again for the make shift shank by Goldi

Every line of the Doctors Office scene doing work! No wasted dialogue, each character gave real responses to the others lines and pushed the plot

Puss & Kittys Cute Off wasnt just made to go viral on tiktok or be used for trailer fodder, Perrito had his deserved (see practice session with kitty) moment of usefulness against BJH, the plot moves forward!

Pinochio wasnt just a Shrek easter egg the flashback also established Horners resentment and eventual greed of magic! Which explains not only his wish, but also his magical item collection!

Puss burrying his kit isnt just a bit! when G & the Bears crash in and find it!! The ! Plot ! Moves ! Forward !

Perrito bringing Puss the stick sword isnt just 'heres the side kick character being useless' that stick brings them back into conflict with Horner! (TPMF!) Also he like actually used it during the heist

This movie was just so efficient, they didnt have to ad hoc anything

Like who will be pinochio, the king, the queen, the piglets and so on?

I did most of them but there will be characters that won't change at all

The reasons for that are first i dont think there are this many SMG4 character to assign every single Shrek character

And second is since I'm a modern smg4 fan i don't know most of the classic characters from very old episodes, so i can't decide which one of them would be which character

So for example the piglets, the blind mice, the mirror, any other princesses, etc. are staying untouched for now. If I find a character that'd fit for the certain character then I will add them.

However most of the main characters are changed, and some side characters as well, for example Pinocchio, the king and the queen

Even the old lady who sells Donkey at the beginning of the movie

I think that if the episode had time to actually go more into detail about how each of the ninjas feel about being back into their younger bodies it would go something like this:

Kai used to be pretty underweight and scrawny back when he was a kid (malnutrition due to having to take care of yourself and your sister on your own kinda does that to you), and the sudden lack of strenght is really frustrating because how can he fight or protect anyone like that?? He really doesn't like looking at himself in the mirror while he's like that, makes him somehow feel even smaller than he already is at the moment, so he just grabbed the biggest, baggiest child's clothing he could find on the lost-and-found to cover that up and promptly avoided unpacking that until they were all back to normal.

Cole is mostly upset about the boring parts of being a kid again, like rules and bed time. Like yeah this sucks ass but he doesn't really have complicated feelings about it like the others. (One thing that he is curious about is that he didn't have his piercings when he was a kid and like will they magically come back when he gets back to normal or will he have to get pierced again?? Are magical piercings a thing?) He was a big kid and used to fight bullies a lot back and he unconsciously got back into habit of standing between the guys and anyone bigger than them (which now is pretty much everyone) pretty quickly. Childhood habits die hard and he's not even noticing he's doing it.

Zane has never actually physically been a kid and the logistics of it are giving him the biggest headache of his life. He hates it.

On one side Jay is very happy about not being snake again. On the other he is stuck on his dorky nerdy kid body. (no one tells him he's already dorky and nerdy as a teen) He's the tiniest little guy ever, his hair is too long for his comfort, his voice is too high, he doesn't have his concealer on hand to cover his freckles, HE HATES IT HERE.

He eventually just chills out and enjoys being a kid again, but the joys are short lived U_U.
