I'm going to say this as kindly as I can, but it's already gone too far. For at least the past week--since filming on GO 3 started, but even before then--there has been a nonstop demand for hair dye pics from fans. In particular, I have seen comments on Georgia and Anna's dedicated posts on Insta over and over harassing them about hair dye pictures. (This is not even including comments on stories, which we can't see publicly unless they share them, and how many of those likely involve requests for hair dye pictures.)

All of this in the wake of the Vulture article being published, and the sudden disappearance of discourse around Neil's actions in tandem with a resurgence of discourse around GO 3 filming. And what I have not seen is any consideration or discussion of how this could be affecting Georgia and Anna. They knew Neil, albeit in a different capacity than David and Michael. They worked with Neil on that Dream of a Thousand Cats bonus episode of Sandman, and had at least a professional relationship with him. Yet everyone expects them to jump enthusiastically into GO 3, regardless of whether they've had time to process or grieve, or how they might actually feel about the show themselves.

I genuinely do not think that Georgia or Anna are "teasing" the fans or "playing" with us, at least not in the way people seem to think. I think they are fed up at this point (and rightfully so) and truly don't care if fans are upset about not having hair dye pictures. And I think the difficulty that some fans have with seeing this stems from an inability to see Georgia and Anna as individuals/judge them by their own actions, but instead as extensions of David and Michael. All four of these people might (and likely do) have vastly different feelings about Good Omens/this entire situation, and this behavior from the fandom has a good chance of making Georgia and Anna resent the show and the fans more than anything else.

When it comes down to it--and as difficult as it might be to accept--we are just not going to get the behind the scenes tidbits or posts that we got for the first two seasons. The circumstances now are much more complex, and there are many more reasons for everyone involved to stay quiet/on the down low regarding production--especially given that legally speaking, there are likely major restrictions on what can/can't be shared on social media. And if/when the day comes that something can be shared, hopefully it will be from the guys themselves, when they are ready and able to do so. Until then, and unless the goal is to make them stop engaging with the fandom for good, let's please leave Georgia and Anna alone...

that evening, as you settle into the couch at home, netflix playing quietly in the background, your phone buzzes beside you. you had just made an instagram post a few hours ago, one that’s now filled with comments from the bayern girls, and it hadn’t gone unnoticed by your friend yasmeen back home. 

she’s calling now, and you already have a feeling what it’s about.

you pause the show and pick up the phone. 

"hey, yas."

"girl," yasmeen starts, her voice playful but curious, 

"what is going on? how are there so many verified people commenting on your insta? like, am i missing something here? how are you suddenly best friends with a bunch of football stars?"

you smile, knowing this question was coming. "oh, you know," you say, trying to keep your tone casual, "i met them through a mutual friend here in germany. we just hit it off."

"mutual friend, huh?" yasmeen’s tone is skeptical, but she lets it slide for now. 

"well, i saw lena oberdorf in the comments. y/n i am a chelsea fan but still know how important that girl is– i know you’re not messing around. i mean, you’ve only been there a few weeks, and you’re already hanging out with pros? i need details, y/n."

you hesitate, not wanting to reveal too much. while yasmeen is your best friend back home, you feel protective of what you’ve found here in munich. 

the friendships you’ve made with the bayern girls feel special, and you don’t want to turn it into something you brag about. you trust them, and they trust you. you just want to respect your friend’s boundaries. 

"yeah, they’re really cool," you say, keeping it simple. 

"but i don’t want to spill too much. it’s still new, you know?"

yasmeen sighs, clearly sensing that you don’t want to go into detail. 

"fine, fine. i won’t push. but just know that i’m totally jealous. if you ever get tickets to a game when i visit you, you better bring me along."

you laugh. 

"i got you, yas. don’t worry."

"alright," yasmeen says, her tone softening. 

"i just miss you. it’s weird not having you around."

"i miss you too," you say, feeling a pang of homesickness. 

"but it’s been good here. i’ve made some friends, and it’s starting to feel more like home."

"good," she says. 

"i’m happy for you. just don’t forget about us back home, okay?"

"never," you promise. 

"you’ll always be my first best friend."

after a few more minutes of catching up, yasmeen hangs up, leaving you alone with your thoughts. you glance at the comments on your instagram post again, smiling at the playful remarks from the bayern girls. 

you feel a sense of peace knowing that you’ve built new friendships in a new country, something you want to protect.

the next afternoon, you find yourself walking down the street toward georgia’s house, your laptop bag slung over your shoulder. georgia only lives a few doors down from you, and today a bunch of the bayern girls are meeting up there to hang out. 

you’re still a little amazed at how quickly you’ve become part of their circle, you’re excited to hang out with your new friends.

when you arrive, the door’s already open, and you hear voices coming from inside. georgia spots you first and waves you in. 

"y/n! come on in!!"

you walk into the living room, where sydney, giulia, lea, lena, sam, sarah, and ana are already lounging around the kitchen island or in the living room. 

"hey, everyone," you say, smiling as you set your laptop down on the coffee table.

"y/n!" sydney says, getting up to give you a quick hug. 

"glad you could make it."

"of course," you say, hugging her back. 

"i just live a couple of doors down, i wouldn’t miss this."

you settle onto the couch, opening your laptop to send a quick email for work. as you start typing, lena moves over and sits closely beside you, her shoulder lightly brushing against yours.

"hey," lena says softly, glancing at your screen. 

"what’re you working on?"

"just an email for work," you reply, glancing at her. 

"i’ll be done in a second. is it okay if i sit here?"

"of course," lena says, her smile easy. 

"i was just curious. i don’t mind watching you work."

you nod, trying to focus on your email, but you can feel the warmth of lena sitting so close. it’s not like you haven’t been around her before, but something about today feels different. 

you realize that you might be developing a crush on her compared to how you feel with the rest of your friends, but you push the thought aside, not wanting to overthink it. 

after all, you’ve barely been here a month, and you don’t want to make things weird.

after finishing the email, you close your laptop and lean back, relaxing into the couch. 

"all done," you say, smiling at lena.

"good," lena says, her eyes sparkling a bit as she looks at you. 

"so now you’re all ours."

before you can respond, sydney calls out from the kitchen. 

"y/n, lena! georgia and i baked something. you have to try it."

you laugh, getting up to see what she’s talking about. sydney holds up a tray with a pumpkin loaf on it, looking proud. 

"we made a pumpkin loaf. want to try a slice?"

"ouu absolutely," you say, grinning. 

"it smells amazing."

sydney cuts you a tiny sample piece and hands it to you. you take a bite, your eyes widening in surprise. 

"this is so good! can i get a full slice?"

"of course," sydney says, laughing as she cuts another slice for you. you sit back down on the couch, enjoying the treat.

before you can take another bite, lena leans over and jokingly snatches a piece of your loaf, popping it into her mouth with a grin.

"hey!" you laugh, swatting at her playfully. 

"that was mine!"

lena grins, chewing slowly. "it’s good," she says, her eyes teasing. 

"thanks for sharing."

the other girls start laughing at the exchange, with giulia chiming in, 

"looks like you’re gonna have to guard your food around lena."

"i’ll remember that next time," you joke, shaking your head in disbelief.

you’re having fun, the atmosphere light and playful as everyone jokes and talks. it feels like you’re surrounded by friends—real friends—and it hits you just how lucky you are to have found this group.

a notification buzzes from your phone, and you glance at it to see a message in the group chat. tuva has sent a link to a concert happening next week and asks if anyone’s interested in going.

"concert?" sydney asks, reading over your shoulder. 

"who’s down?"

"i’m in," georgia says from the kitchen.

"me too," giulia adds, and soon, everyone in the room agrees to go. even the others who couldn’t make it to georgia’s house today chime in with excited messages in the group chat.

"looks like we’re all going then," you say, smiling as you text tuva back.

the rest of the afternoon passes in a blur of laughter, food, and easy conversation. you all end up watching a movie on the big sectional couch in georgia’s living room, the girls casually leaning against each other, some even falling asleep since its getting dark outside. 

you feel warm, wrapped up in the comfort of their friendship.

as the movie plays, you find yourself reflecting on how you got here. it’s wild to think that just a few weeks ago, you were worried about being alone in munich, scared of starting over in a new place. 

now, here you are, surrounded by some of the coolest, most genuine people you’ve ever met.

it all started with a wrong number, and somehow, it turned into this—a new life, with new friends who accept you just as you are. 

they trust you, and you trust them, and there’s a deep sense of belonging that fills you with warmth.

you glance at lena, who’s sitting closest to you, still teasing you from earlier. you feel that little spark again, the one you’ve been trying to ignore, but you don’t overthink it. 

you’re happy, content, and right now, that’s enough.

whenever barry first took her to georgia it was reaaaalllyyy bad. she would try to run off every day. he didn’t work for like three weeks because he didn’t trust her. his tactic was to blackmail and embarrass her into not leaving.

he would sedate her just a lil, to get her more pliable and willing. precious already never wore any clothes but he would make sure of it then , and would pose her to take pics of her naked and exposed.

then when she came to her senses again he would show her all the photos. she knew he knew her daddy and everyone in obx , and he would threaten to send it and leak it if she kept trying to run off.

she would cry n scream n bite but he would just hold her down and try to soothe her. meanwhile she was trying her absolute hardest to get away from him. eventually she got tired and would fall asleep on him and then wake up n feel disgusted with herself.

he would use that against her too n b like “see? you fuckin’ fell asleep on me. you don’t wanna leave. you never did. just want attention— huh?” n she would get so mad at him , at herself.

precious always bein naked is actually a bigger plot then yall think bc she does it from all the trauma from him blackmailing her. she doesn’t know why but it makes her feel better. around whenever she kinda gave up on leaving but still was distant and upset is when he taught her all the rules n how to even live

Rivals |(just had the book)

So... To my utter delight, yesterday, I had the privilege to finally have my amazon order. And low and behold, was the new Penguin Paperback edition, from 2024! Well, at first, I wanted another edition, which was, I believe, the original one from 1988. Howerver, it was over 100£. So... No 🫶

I think this edition is quite gorgeous. The only downside for me is the Disney + sticker, I hate those types of stuff, lmao. Especially when the logo is on it. Also, I sort of wanted the 1988 edition for not only the authenticity, but also because it featured red kitten heels, which I love, stepping on a hand (iconic). But hey, I can work with that cover too.

I already read the first chapter, and I really enjoy it so far. It's interesting, because in the first chapter, we learn much more about Tony that in the entire show, and I'm certainly going to use that for the Rivals fanfiction Re-Write I'm writing! PS: I need to hear Georgia's audiobook version.

my first fanfic here... feel free to correct my mistakes or you can just say what i can do more for these to be better!

Summary: This takes place in season 4, prison era (my personal favorite) there is this new girl which Rick and Daryl have taken into prison as a survivor but Daryl can't really stand her and dang a broken fence cuts her upper front thigh (rectus femories to be exact I had to examine an anatomy pic for this one😭) and Daryl has to clean it!! But our girl has surgery scars from when she was a kid. It catches Daryl's attention. Idk I'm making it quite obvious that I'm such an amateur in this. It's a first person narration fanfic

I was lying on my bed under the dim light of a kerosene oil lamp Maggie had given me earlier that day. I was sighing deeply now and then, getting more and more bored with each passing second. Having to put a stupidly looking smile on my face everytime someone would pass infront of my cell. I could feel my hands feeling more and more sweaty in the humid of Georgia summer, yet I kept them crossed on my lap.

I was stupid enough to not check my surrondings when I was aimlessly walking into the gates of the prison after a run I was sent to with a couple of others in the camp. A fence cut the upper front of my thigh, not deep enough to leave me all screaming and whining, I thought. I let out a small soft moan at the pain of it, but I was the last one to pass through the gates. Nobody saw it bleeding. I covered it with the hems of my shorts, my shorts immediatly being colored with my blood. I ran into my cell and tried to bandage it incompetently, which horribly failed.

Carol was the first one to notice how terrible my wound was looking.

"It can get infected" she said with a warm, cautious temper.

"If not cleaned and bandaged properly."

I couldn't help but gasp a little bit at the idea of my wound getting infected in the middle of the apocalpyse. I went through worse wounds than this, except I always had someone to take care of them for me before. I couldn't bear the idea of the others thinking I was dumb enough to get my wound infected within my first week with them.

Carol, Maggie even Hershell have been my saviors so far, cleaning the wound. I could walk, I wasn't handicapped in any aspect but I didn't know how to clean it myself neither.

But there I was, lying in gloom and distress worrying about who was going to be cleaning my wound and I'd have to share a couple of odd minutes with them, both of us trying our hardest to come up with something to say for a small talk.

Carol showed up with necessary utensils on her hands. She had that welcoming, warm and even pleasant smile on her face. I smiled back.

She started lying out the stuff she brought on the nighstand next to my bed.

"Your wound is getting a lot better." She said without looking at me.

"Next time, you get injured; you let us know."

"I will." I said with a subtle undertone of guilt and a mix of apprecation in my voice.

She gestured her body towards the cell door as if she was gonna leave. Before I could even open my mouth, she spoke "Mind Daryl cleaning your wound tonight? I'm needed somewhere else."

By the gestures on her face, the way she said those words I knew Daryl have had to say something about me to this woman, which obviously wasn't all positive. It wasn't a secret that he didn't necessarily love me but I was the one that needed some kind of a simple procedure. I wasn't gonna act like a child, whining and requesting someone else. I simply nodded and waited for this dreadful man to come and do what he was asked for.

Minutes passed like years when he finally showed up at the cell door, looking a bit pissed and constrained. It was obvious he was never asked to do these kind of stuff. He was an important man around; going on runs, finding supplies, the act of service type of guy; working only for the good of his people. He seemed, though, a little bit bewildered as if he had no idea what or how he was going to clean my wound.

He stepped into the cell. I curled the ends of my shorts without him having to ask for it. He checked the utensils Carol laid out on the nighstand minutes ago. He, once again looked bewildered, incompetent. He grabbed some of the utensils on the nightstand, drew the half broken stool to himself and sat on it. He laid some of the stuff on the edge of the bed as he gestured his hands to the blood soaked bandage. Before he could even move his hands towards it, I spoke "I got it."

A soft moan of pain escaped my mouth as I was taking off the bandage, throwing it right into the trash after.

I heard him taking a deep breath and mumbling under his breath

"Shoulda spilled earlier, wouldn't hurt this damn much now."

I frowned at him before starting to study my wound.

"Carol said it's getting better." I said softly, my tone just above a whisper. I didn't feel any energy to spend on talking to this man. He gazed at my wound couple of seconds before grunting "It is."

He took a grey cloth that somehow looked like a deformed gauzed pad out of an aid kit. He poured some kind of alcohol-based liquid on the cloth. He looked at me for a brief moment before speaking under his breath

" 'S ma' hurt. "

"It's fine." I spoke. The alcohol really stings on the bare wound but there was nothing I could do. I bite the inside of my cheek as he started cleaning my wound. It was hurting like hell but I didn't want to whine and come off as "weak" to him. I was worried that I would cause the inside of my cheek to bleed because of how hard I was biting it and how often I have had to start doing it.

I look at him for a brief moment. He couldn't see me looking at him as he leaned forward so that he'd make a better job at cleaning my wound. I could see his bangs falling on his eyebrows and sometimes getting into his eyes which he'd swing his head slightly to get them out of his eye corners. He looked really focused, not talking at all. The others did; asking me where I come from, what I did before all this. It would all be omnious small talks, which I regret thinking they ever were because what this was felt more infuriating.

I kept on staring at him or looking at random places now and then for 30-40 seconds when I noticed him scowling at something he saw on my leg. His expression faded away within 2 or 3 seconds perhaps, I followed his gaze and saw his finger curling the hem of my short a bit more upwards than I did because he needed more space to work on my wound. There they were, the scars from the surgeries I had as a kid. I knew he wasn't the type to ask when or why I had those but now my scars had my attention as well as they got his. He was still working on the area and his finger was still on the edge of my shorts so it wouldn't fall on where he was cleaning. I noticed he avoided touching them. I was feeling hotter and more distressed each passing second. I assumed questions were pondering his head because my scars were relatively long scars. At the end, I decided to speak. I cleared my throat lightly. Somebody had to end this awkwardness.

"Surgery scars." I spoke

"I had 'em when I was 5 and 6."

Our gazes met, he seemed as if he was contemplating whether or not to stay silent. His blue eyes were almost piercing and I couldn't help but feel hotter than I felt before. I felt his hand falling on my upper leg lightly.

" 'S fine. "

That was it. That's all he had to stay. He broke the eye contact immediatly after. He went back to getting the job done with my wound.

"Ever thought 'bout gettin' 'em removed?" He grunted.

"No. Never." I huffed under my breath. I sensed that he asked this question only to make conversation and break the oddity wall that was getting thicker every passing second.

"Hmmm." He expressed and kept working on my wound.

"Can't get them removed even if I want to now, can I?"

I spoke with the intention to talk to him more.

" 'S possible if ya can bear the pain." He said I might be wrong but I saw the curl of his lips going upward. It was the first time I saw this man smirk even a little. He got up from the stool, that tiny mischievous snigger was still on his face as my eyes followed his every little move. I was mesmerised as if he has just cast a spell on me. I had a stupid smirk on my face, of course it was subtle to an extent which wouldn't freak him out. I probably smiled for the first time with him ever since I've met him. He placed the tools on the nighstand and turned to me.

"Yea should be al' good if yea keep an eye on yerself a bit."

I nodded. He didn't expect me to say anything and made his way to the cell door.

I got up, sat on the edge of the bed; looking at the fresh bandage he just wrapped around my upper leg. I sighed as I looked at the high narrow window on the wall.

Ok yall that was it. I actually loveeedd writing this eventho we don't get much of a daryl content but idk this is my first time writing in english (as in fanfic, yes i have written in my mother tongue when i was in like middle school.... a guess a writer is always a writer😈😈👿👿😭😭 -corny as fuck) and i feel like writing daryl can get quite out of character for two reasons, first being he's never had a s/o in twd where it was obvious they were dating and we havent seen any "boyfriend" or "flirty daryl" and this man only grew more and more silent each passing episode and season so.....

Not something I usually share, but I’ve gotten back into knitting! I learned how to knit about 15 years ago and did it voraciously for a while but it kind of fell by the wayside as I explored other art forms, but I’ve started picking fun yarns and making projects again and it just feels like coming home. I got to give this baby blanket to my friend yesterday for her imminently arriving second little one, and I just love getting to add some cozy to their lives.

This is so distasteful and disrespectful to me. They reduce every loving gesture he makes to "signals of divorce" and "coming out". Do they not know he has a non binary kid? So I just wanna ask u just does this look like a real happy healthy relationship and in love with each or just put on for show for the fans and why do I feel like she making it all about her again and reminded everyone who she with it feels micheal was forced in the pictures taking with her the red carpet photo she looked bored and annoyed cos michael not paying any attention he just look miserable but I bet if it was David standing there instead of anna his face would be beaming like the one Georgia posted of them 4 together micheal face is electric and see how he lean toward David that best friend goals and I just love seeing them together cos that when he at his most happiness place

Also I find it strange that Anna was left out in staged scene but David wife gerogia made appearance doesn't that strike u as odd and gerogia brought the plus one date a girl could have and it wasnt anna yet they call each other wife clearly not as close etc then David and Michael are it seems.

And did u notice in the scene with David and Tom hiddleson about the dog sitter initially could present as benign and then he and the dog get up to all kinds of hijinks and ultimately disrupt stuffy old Michael sheen boring life but for the better like why put that in the script maybe his life with anna is boring and only staying cos he feels he needs too for the young children what do u think of all this

So, the biggest point of discussion seems to be the group pic that Georgia posted, and I will put up a larger size of that for us to discuss:

When I saw that Georgia had posted this in an Insta story, of course my first thought was "Finally a picture of Michael and David together!" I think that was what we were all hoping for all night, to where it was almost glaring that we hadn't gotten one when the event ended (until Georgia's post, that is).

The second thing that came to mind is what you alluded to @moriarty-sisters, about this being a near repeat of what we've seen a few times before (first at the NTAs in 2021, and then the group photo Georgia posted on Michael's birthday, that appears to have been taken after Michael went to see Macbeth):

Every time, Georgia is on the right. Every time, she and Anna have the same tight smiles while Michael and David have huge grins on their faces. At this point, it feels intentional, because twice might be a coincidence, but three times is a plan. There are slight differences to the vibes in each picture--although Georgia looks like she knows a secret and Michael and David look like a very happy couple in every one of them--but last night's group pic was...something.

Which takes me to your comment @phantomstars24 about how Michael is holding AL. I was under the impression that he had his hand on her waist, but if he is touching her breast, I'm perplexed at that being her reaction. She looks stiff and like a deer caught in the headlights, and regardless of where Michael's hand is, it doesn't seem like that's a great way to look when your own boyfriend is touching you. Adding to the strange optics is the fact that Michael is actually leaning toward David in the picture and away from her. It looks like his arm/shoulder is pressing into David and there isn't a millimeter of space between them, yet he seems to be a mile away from Anna despite having an arm around her.

(And none of this is even touching on Georgia using the theme song from Friends in the Insta story for the group pic, which she had to know we would all notice...)

So yes, a lot of thoughts on the group pic, but overall delighted to see Michael and David looking so happy next to each other. Especially Michael, in stark contrast to how he looked in some of the other pictures.

Speaking of which...I briefly talked about Michael and AL at the BAFTAs yesterday here and here, so I will try not to repeat myself too much in this part of my answer. But what I think we are seeing is two things: Anna's fantasy of what she thinks her and Michael's relationship is, and the reality of what we saw at the BAFTAs.

I think in AL's mind, she and Michael were like Georgia and David. But if we are going to say that Georgia and David were very loving and sweet together on the red carpet yesterday--which they absolutely were, with the kiss they shared and David comforting Georgia when she was experiencing anxiety--then there is no way you can look at the pictures of Michael and Anna and see the same thing. Even without bringing GT/DT into it, there is a massive, marked difference between pictures of Michael with AL vs. pictures of him with literally anyone else (such as this pic with Hannah Waddingham).

Looking at Anna's pictures that she posted, every one of them seems to be about ownership, right down to the Insta story with the #mine hashtag (which again seems to be her copying Georgia, also on the night of an award ceremony). The vibe that I got was of a teenager who'd won a date with her favorite celebrity and took him to the prom. Ultimately, though, she looked out of place, and he looked uncomfortable with her, both of which are a remarkable feat after five years of a relationship.

The pictures also repeated themes we've seen before (AL has previously posted a picture of her kissing Michael's cheek where he looks equally withdrawn; the photo in the car on the way to the event is a copy of pictures Georgia has posted of her and David in the car on the way to events) and speak to that idea of pushing a certain narrative, despite neither one of them appearing to sell it very well.

To that end, and to your comments @lepqueen and @turquoisedata, I would agree with you that it looks like AL is trying to mark her territory. The problem is that Michael had more chemistry just talking with David in that opening BAFTAs sketch than he did with Anna the entire night, and she was frequently left looking like she had no idea what she was doing or why she was there. Another example of this is an Insta story she posted earlier today that again demonstrated her main interest in the relationship:

What's particularly noteworthy is the follow up Insta story on the right, which I couldn't believe she actually posted. I think that if you are fine and happy with the narrative you've put out, you are not going to be bothered by or salty about a comment like that, and AL clearly was. And all of this then casts at least some doubt that the pictures she posted are really telling the whole story. Just a recap of what we do know about last night (and if I am forgetting anything, someone please let me know):

- Anna was the only principal member of the cast who was not in the Staged-themed opening sketch, despite being in all three seasons of the show. - Anna was not seated next to Michael during the in person part of the opening sketch, despite there being no reason the producers couldn't have put her next to him even as a seat filler. - Georgia brought her friend Daisy Aitkens as a +1 and sat with her instead of Anna, leaving us with the above picture of AL sitting alone and staring straight ahead while in the background of a Michael J. Fox picture (that she is acting like is a picture of her with him, instead of her photobombing a picture of MJF with his wife). - During the show, the camera repeatedly cut to Michael in the audience when there was no reason to do so, but did not show Anna on camera once.

So yes, I think that if last night at the BAFTAs was somehow AL's attempt to mark her territory/assert her place in the UK acting industry, it did not seem to go over well. I think David and Georgia's relationship and Michael and David's relationship emerged even stronger than before, and unfortunately AL and Michael's relationship did not and does not compare.

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the nation’s first out gay immigrant congressman, recently blasted House Republicans — and anti-LGBTQ+ Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) — over the party’s proposed amendment banning drag performances on military bases. Garcia made an impassioned speech against it, noting that drag performances have occurred on military bases during wartime without issue, and that at least two Republican presidents have acknowledged that drag can be fun.

The amendment is one of several anti-LGBTQ+ amendments Republicans are trying to add to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a massive annual military spending bill. The anti-drag amendment was proposed by Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-OK). Republicans are also seeking to remove any military funding for gender-affirming surgeries and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to help make the military more diverse and welcoming to people from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. “On behalf of the LGBTQ families, gay people who serve in our country, and frankly, anyone who just likes to have fun, I rise in strong opposition to this amendment,” Garcia said at the start of his speech. “There are a lot of threats to the health and well-being of our service members: oison water on military bases, toxic mold in military housing, PTSD, and suicide. So I see that a top Republican idea to protect our troops is actually to ban drag shows.”

Proud Nerd Conventions!!! Remember that name! And if there’s a chance to go to one that covers your interests GO!!! They’re doing amazing cons (well, the one I was at, but from the looks of it, others were just as happy with them as me so…) We did go - to the middle of freaking Nowhere which still amuses me but it was the most incredible thing EVER!!! It’s small (not like the huge Cons), the location in an old monastery was insane and the vibe was absolutely impeccable!!! And if you’re lucky you spot on of the guests just wandering around, taking pics of the wildlife (mainly chickens and peacocks), being amazed by them (*coughs* DT *coughs*)

Im still in heaven! Everything was wonderful. The people, the guests (even though we missed out a few panels because we were so in awe of everything… it didn’t help that DT did his Bentley photoshoot outside where everyone could watch which was niiiiiiice!).

The panels we DID see where very chill, the host did a great job and DT’s panel at the end was just soo lovely - being amazed by said peacocks and normal German screwdrivers (some wonderful person uploaded the whole thing in YT - go and watch, it was soo good!) (And I hope the person that fainted (?) at the end was taken care of quickly and is feeling better now!)

Also: Georgia was mentioned quite a lot which lead to some hilarious comment by both her son and her husband! (Reminder to self to go and see if anyone recorded Ty’s panel *mutters ‘Big Daddy’ under breath while trawling YT and Twitter*). Here’s hope she’s going to join her family for one of these one day - the love for her there was palpable and she’d love all the love for her!!!

We got very lucky with the weather (I got a little sunburned even!) which made it even better - this location wouldn’t have worked this nicely with rain.

The whole surroundings were soo surreal and soo cool. David’s photoshoot was in an attic - you had to EARN your way there (soooo many steps) but soooo worth it. I loved that you could see him taking his pics while you waited for your turn: that man had a blast!!! He was smiling the whole time, hugged everyone who wanted it and generally was ready for ALL the shenanigans! I’ve seen a few absolutely incredible pics! He felt sooo good and his jumper was sooooo soft!! GUH!!! (Im still very impressed with myself that I stayed really calm all day (probably helped that I’ve met him a few times before even though this was the first time I had my pic taken with him) but he makes it so very easy for everyone! One of the kindest and loveliest celebrities I’ve met!)

And yes, he was wandering around in the five seconds he had in between everything - his schedule was PACKED and he was still smiling and joking at the end of the day even tho he was basically ON all freaking day! tips hat Im sure he was exhausted by the end of it (but he didn’t show it so yeah, RESPECT!!)

So yeah, overall the whole trip was sooo worth the slightly higher prices for everything - the guests were all enjoying themselves it seemed, the fans had a blast and 'Don’t pet the chickens, Sarah’ was uttered more than you’d think at a CONVENTION *giggles*

Also, peacocks are REALLY loud and nesting chicken HISS when you get too close. (I still wonder whether there were any during the Bentley shoot, they were EVERYWHERE and seemed to flock towards any Tennant when they were outside *hehe*)

The best thing though was my darling friend. Somebody asked DT whether he’d nicked something from set. And while he was pondering that, she uttered rather absently (and quietly) 'Your wife’?!’ You can hear the guffaw of laughter from me and the row in front of us if you listen carefully. I love that woman and her way of pointing out the obvious!!! That was soo freaking hilarious and I wished somebody had filmed THAT!

And despite missing out on Peter, Sylvester and some of the other guests’ panel (as we mainly went for David), we saw them briefly as they left so that’s something. All in all, it was the most chill and laid back convention one can go to. And having done this for one of my all time fave, I couldn’t be happier! I love my picture with him, I said a few things, and I realized (pointed out by my friend again) that I have a matching set now:

… so yeah, definitely considering the Proud Nerd Cons again if/when they do anything with favs of mine!!! Much much love for the organizer(s)!!! Next DT event: Macbeth in November!!! 2024 is shaping up to be an EPIC year!!!

Here's the thing; if he was indeed simply dating around and serious about no-one in particular, taking the date of the anxiety tweet being he knows the Sexiest Man Alive title was coming after initially being delayed and going to Rudd instead.....

It stands to reason this entire situation and the reason he his team told him he had to join IG to begin with was so that they would be able to "arrange the campaign" using likes and follows for who his "partner" would be for the People Magazine title

New series coming up gonna be 'Purposely Uncomfortable Flowers. Channeling some little annoyances that have built up over 15+yrs into this rather than on people.

These are more sexy and less pointy than I'm going for. There's a few I'm not posting that turned out more pointy but also more sexy in ways I didn't intend. Never done sexy art before so still figuring some things out.

TLDR rant: Been angry drawing uncomfortable sexed up and fleshy flowers in reaction to a friend in the media arts comparing my spring time tendencies towards nouveau shapes with O'Keeffe's paintings of enlarged flowers in the worst possible way. For 3yrs now! Ridiculous response on my part? Likely. Better than screaming. (3yrs!) Also growing up enjoying "the wrong stuff" for a girl leading to my pics of flowers being made into a big stupid deal and getting lumped together with O'Keeffe throughout my art education.

Below are some of the first drawings I wasn't embarrassed to show other people after a 10yr art break. So when I sent this over to my "professor of the arts" friend his first reaction being "looks like vaginas!" followed by O'Keeffe talk didn't exactly have me happy for a few reasons. Possibly more for her than me.

Anyway. Here's some vaginas apparently.

Wasn't very invested in fashion or makeup in school and was told my tastes in music, media and love for videogames wasn't "girly" in the 90s/early 00s. So when strayed from horror/dark art and drew or took pictures of flowers instead it became an uncomfortable focus in school and some family gatherings. Like "Hey you did it! Congrats! You did a girl thing! 👏" In that regard, things still need work but it does seem like it's better now.

Look. I was, and still am, a sensitive bitch. Loving me some flowers and listening to industrial metal weren't, and still aren't, mutually exclusive.

Anyway in highschool photography they showed us a documentary about Alfred Stieglitz's and Georgia O'Keeffe, their companionship and their art. Perfect time and age to prepare for the small stupid things to come. The film, it was upsetting. Learning how critics treated her and women in art generally at the time. Especially when a woman artist paired up with or married another artist. Man the crap O'Keeffe had to put up with. Her paintings often written or talked about in comparison to that of Alfred Stieglitzs'...photography. And of course her flower paintings being immediately likened to vaginas by male critics which to this day is what she is mainly associated with. God I can only imagine the frustration she went through. 20yrs later parts of that documentary still haunt me.

Between the flower photography and picking a O'Keeffe sky scraper piece to paint on a chair for the school a few years prior, I was kinda lumped in with her by teachers and professors for a while. Resented it back then. Appreciate it now. We're all standing on the shoulders of women artists like her having to deal with that BS much more intimately than we do now. Recently I even got to see some of her paintings in person too. A tiny part of me, knowing all that, was left a touch sad looking at them.

Anyway, lots of sexed up upsetting flowers coming soon though with more juices and pointy teeth as I figure this out.
