This started with the idea of doing stickers of Luan holding bananovan (?) and end up adding more and more characters.

Once I'm free, I want to do a second round with more npcs to give them some love since I rarely see fanarts of the skeleton squad for example :').

Also tried with Vograce to turn it into stickers, pins and keychans and the quality was really good! :D

(I like to think that the skeletons npcs have a group where they know each other and are all friends where Master Argus is the old man protector of Scarlet and Red as Gall is there too hshsh)

one thing i love about being trans is how the little things can brighten me up so much. i was playing shovel knight yesterday (really cool game btw you definitely should play) and they said "hey we have this thing called body swap" and i decided. hell yeah?!!! i get to trans everyone's gender!!!!???! (except shield knight cuz i want to play as a lesbian) and there were a bit changes in pronouns which was rly cool. but when chester called me "hey... blue girl..." you can't fathom how happy that made me

WOW Hey another Shovel Knight post!! In one day??? That's crazy. I made this video.. AGES ago. Almost last year? Never did share it publicly tho besides amongst a few pals, so here we are!!! A few notes about my thoughts on the claims under the cut, since not all voices are entirely accurate to how I imagine them.

I'll only be addressing the voices that I haven't rated with full accuracy

Shovel Knight

As much as I love the valiant nature of Superman's voice, I like to think he sounds just a little more energetic than the clips I found. Otherwise it's pretty alright!

Shield Knight

I actually really love this pick for Shield Knight, but the clips I found for actual talking sound a little too harsh for Shield Knight. I'm sure there's more, but clips on youtube for the Tangled show go down left and right. I'd think her voice is maybe a smiiidge higher pitched than Cass? Otherwise the vibes are really good!

Plague Knight

Obviously the bitcrushing isn't part of his voice, I thought that itself might've been obvious enough. The vibes are perfect, but something about it just doesn't sound exactly how I want it to. I know someone who pulls out the voice I imagine him with a lot better, but I don't wanna bug him to record a bunch of dialogue just for a brand new video lmao

Mona

As much as the voice itself sounds exactly like I want it to, it could sound just a little more chaotic and excited. That's about it for complaints there though!

Specter Knight

He's soooo close to exactly how I want him to sound. I feel like he'd sound just a little less cool and collected, maybe just a smidge harsher, and it would be absolutely perfect.

King Knight

I'll be real, this one is.. not what I was looking for, but King George is the absolute closest I could get to the vibes I was searching for. Like yeah, King Knight absolutely would have that flauntiness to his voice, but the pitch is too high in my opinion. Something deeper, and I think it'd be just what I'm looking for! Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that really hit that mark though.

Mole Knight

I really like the vibes of this one! If it had just a little more oomph and enthusiasm, like a real authoritative vibe? All it needs.

Treasure Knight

Too deep, but the grizzled feeling? Oh yeah. That's perfect. Just a little higher pitched and it'd be just what I want. Everything else is just right!

Propeller Knight

I'm gonna be honest, the only thing this one needs is the French accent and it's all it needs

Tinker Knight

Wow look a body swap one! A nerdier feeling would be good, but not extremely awkward sort of nerdy feeling. The voice has grown on me a lot since I first gave it to her, so I'd rate the accuracy a bit higher now, but it's still not perfect for my depiction of Tinker (Little side note not relating to the voice, but legitimately I love having just the four girlies on two entirely separate ends of the personality spectrum. Like we have Prism and Shield being the fighter valiant types, then we have Mona and Tinker just being the inventive gremlins of the four who are too much trouble for their own good. Having two duos that oppose eachother like that in vibes is just so immaculate to me)

Chester

A little too young, but the energy is immaculate!! It's close enough, but just not perfect.

Prism Knight

PLEASE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS SO GOOD If she sounded Just a little kinder (Like she did in the last speaking clip)? Perfect.

Phantom Striker

I couldn't find much dialogue for this one at the time and for that I apologize, but if he sounded a little more grizzled, it'd be just what I want.

Drill Knight

The threatening vibes are IMMACULATE. It's just what I want in terms of that, but the voice is just too deep. A little higher up? Just what I want. Perfect.

Hive Knight

He needs to be slightly more yeehaw More country accent and that's all I want for 'em.

Scrap Knight

Love this little menace She needs to sound older but I ADORE her chaotic energy!!

That's about it though for my commentary and thoughts :) Hope y'all enjoy these! I promised a huge headcanon wall like ages and ages ago, and y'know what maybe it's time I actually get that done to match all these voice claims!

CHESTER WHAT THE FUCK

So, a new trailer for Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon released today as a part of Nintendo's latest Indie Showcase, and I'm SO excited for it to release this Winter! Maybe there's a chance it'll even release on my birthday (King of Cards released two days before it, so it's definitely a possibility)!

And as jam-packed as the trailer was, naturally there are a few things that I wanted to show and talk about in a post! I debated on whether I should post this on my main blog or this one, and I ultimately chose this blog for reasons you'll soon see...💙🤍💙

That said, let's dig in!

I think one of the trailer's most noteworthy features was the blink-and-you-miss-it introduction of a new knight to the Shovel Knight universe— Scrap Knight!

... I genuinely can't tell what gender they are. I think they might be female judging by those lips, but I'm going to stick with gender neutral pronouns until we get official word on the matter. Looking at their portrait, it looks as though Scrap Knight just grabbed whatever junk they could find and made armor out of it, which is nothing short of hilarious; that is a rope shoulderpad they're wearing.

It's a little tough to tell here, but it kind of looks to me like Scrap Knight has a huge burlap sack over their shoulder in this image. Now I'm just imagining Scrap Knight having to stop a battle halfway through so they can rummage through their stuff and find a makeshift weapon. Also, Mole Knight is clearly exhibiting best boy material here. I wonder if he ever roasts marshmallows using the flame on his helmet?

I think what steals the show for me in this image is everyone at the table. Treasure Knight looks like he's trying to plot out a mission plan, and on the other end of the table, King Knight looks like he's trying to plot out which of his ten capes he's going to wear to the battlefield. And Tinker Knight's in the middle of all of this, just trying to get some reading done.

Then there's this scene, featuring a whole bunch of familiar faces (And Scrap Knight in the bottom left, if you look really closely) as well as another new knight we've seen once before in key art, Prism Knight.

Man, Pocket Dungeon has a really cute visual style. That opening sequence near the trailer's start looks AMAZING— the spritework in this game is no joke! But do you want to know what one of my favorite parts of the entire trailer is?

TINY SHIELD KNIGHT MY BELOVED

Back when the first Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon trailer rolled around, Yacht Club released a Press Kit with a whole bunch of key art and in-game sprites, and amidst them was Shield Knight's in-game sprite and her portrait, which looks like this—

Look how PRETTY she is!! The whole chibi art direction of Pocket Dungeon make a lot of the Shovel Knight cast appropriately adorable, but I think Shield Knight takes the cake of being the cutest looking playable character.

Just look at her here! I think what this moment of the trailer was hinting at is some type of 'summoning' ability; my guess is that the one shown here is a variation of the Ichor of Renewal which can fully restore a character's health (There's a giant depiction of the Troupple King behind her. That HAS to be somewhat close). I still can't get over her little smile, though, it almost makes me wish that she had an alternate portrait with that same smi—

I skimmed through Pocket Dungeon's little exhibition section after the trailer was shown in the original Indie Showcase livestream, and I'm REALLY glad I did, otherwise I would have missed this A D O R A B L E frame of Shield Knight!! She is just so BEAUTIFUL!!

But I saved the absolute best part for last... as I mentioned earlier, YCG's Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon Press Kit revealed a whole slew of character portraits, both of playable characters and the enemies you'll face. The selection had portraits all eight Order of No Quarter knights, Shovel and Shield, Black Knight, and a few others!

Though what I was kind of bummed out about was that there was a particular lack of anything relating to The Enchantress. For a while I had a faint feeling why she didn't appear, though since seeing Pocket Dungeon's visual style, I've REALLY wanted to see what she would look like if she were to appear in the game, if she had any part in it at all.

And then...

I�� no joke— screamed "CHANTY!!!!" when I got to this part. The fact that they intentionally cropped the footage to show only a fraction of The Enchantress's portrait is absolutely killing me, but knowing that she's officially in the game is just WONDERFUL news!! I really like how big her horned headdress is in her in-game sprite, and I'm digging (Comedy + 100) her colored text.

Even if The Enchantress somehow winds up being the big bad of this adventure, that's only motivation to see Pocket Dungeon through to the end just to see her!! REALLY excited for this game to release!!
