Sum: Abbachio was getting worried about his capo not getting enough rest from the constant workload he gets. So he pays his friend a visit.

I have not finished pt 5, so some things might not be realistic as it is in the anime (though I've gotten to the part where passion meets trish so ye :3)

ANYWAYSS-- fic under cut :3

This was Abbachio's cue to open the door. The goth walked into the capo's office and closed the door behind him. His arms crossed. "Mind telling me how long you've been in this office for?" Abbachio asks, an eyebrow raised with a stern tone that has a tinge of concern. The capo paused, looking at him. "...I'm... Not too sure." He says with a slight chuckle, trying to light up the situation.

From seconds to minutes, from minutes to hours, from hours to days, Bucciarati was working in his office 24/7. Abbachio knew that he had a ton of tasks to do, and he trusted the capo to be self-disciplined of himself. But sometimes, the capo seems to forget that he needs rest aswell. This has led to numerous lectures from Abbachio about how the leader needed a break, but it always got nowhere.

Today was one of those days where Abbachio would have to forcefully get Bucciarati to come out of his office to take a break. Abbachio reached Bucciarati's office, knocking on the door. Bucciarati was focusing deeply on some papers until he heard the knocks. He spun around in his office chair to look at the door."Who is it?" He calls out from the room, still focusing on the papers but listening to Abbachio.

Abbachio could tell that Bucciarati was tired but knew that the other male wouldn't admit it. "There's nothing to laugh about now. I'm worried." He says, his hands gently landing on Bucciarati's sides, not thinking about Bucciarati was ticklish.

The Capo flinched, looking at the slightly taller male with a small wobbly smile. The two knew each other for a long time, but never did he think about revealing his sensitivity to Abbachio. The goth raised an eyebrow, looking at where his hands were cupping. "What is so funny? I'm concerned about your well-being." Abbachio says before it finally came to him what was happening. With a bit of confidence, Abbachio squeezed Bucciarati's sides gently, and the other male flinched again, his smile growing.

"Abba- Don't-" The Capo warns, trying to seem serious, but with his goofy smile, Abbachio just smirks. He squeezes Bucciarati's sides again. "Ehek-!" The other male squeaks. Oh no.

"What was that? I told you there was nothing to laugh about." Abbachio says sarcastically, his hands gently continuing to squeeze Bucciarati's sides. After a bit, he said, "You deserve rest soon. Will you promise me that you'll get some rest?" He asks, pausing for a bit to hear the other male's response. "Abbachio- I'm buhusy-" He says, not knowing the consequences.

The moment Abbachio heard Bucciarati's response, he dug his fingers into Bucciarati's sides, scribbling and squeezing. "AHAHA- Ahahabba!" He squeals, his body moving as if he was a fish that came out of the water. The Capo was incredibly ticklish.

Abbachio just smirked at this, continuing to tickle him. "I take back what I said, there is something to laugh about now." He says with a calm yet teasy tone. His hands slowly sliding up to Bucciarati's ribs, clawing there gently with his black painted fingernails. "Why are you so mysterious? I've never known this about you..." Abbachio teases into Bucciarati's ear, making Bucciarati 10x more ticklish and flustered. "SI FEHERMI, PER FAVOREHAHA!" (Stop please) The capo laughs.

Abbachio just shakes his head. "Not unless you get some rest." Abbachio says. "I Hahave work to doho!" Bucciarati retorts. "That can wait." Abbachio shrugged, before going a bit rougher on the Capo, while not making him uncomfortable.

As much as Bucciarati hated this, he felt grateful whenever Abbachio were to drag him out of his office for a break. The Capo was always blind to realize that he too, also needed rest. Abbachio was usually pissed at him for not getting sufficent rest because of his work, but now? Abbachio seems quite cheeky as he found something new about his leader.

"STAHAHAP PLEAHASE-" Bucciarati pleaded once more, as he was about to give up. Abbachio gently chuckled and removed his hands from his sides and ribs.

"It's time for a break, Mr. Capo. Are you going to take one now, or do you need more persuasion?" Abbachio leans closer to Bucciarati's ear, his warm breathe tickling the other male's ear gently. "Sì, sì.." Bucciarati finally answered, leaning back in his office chair, but suddenly flinched from another poke from Abbachio. "Come on, let's go out of this office. Let's have some coffee downstairs." Abbachio gently takes Bucciarati's hand and pulls him out of his chair, walking with him to close the office door and go downstairs for a well-needed break for the two.

Thanks to Abbachio's newfound discovery, he has found a more better and effective way to get his capo to have a break from work. Inside of Bucciarati's mind, he hopes he could get back at Abbachio soon. Though not sure if Abbachio is ticklish though. We might just never know.

I'm balling and tucked into bed im so tired well um. funny how I had a hard time the whole time trying to get color balance right and how I color blocked everything and made shit look perpetually low brightness but there would be no point if I uh. raised the brightness anyway. I redrew the sketches so many times until I stopped getting mad and THEN got mad trying to paint it because I hate myself apparently.

^ world's worst workflow but um. anyway.

it's funny because I realized the robe's inner sleeves look like bamboo BAHAHA I have to do something about that. I told myself wow I love this angle I don't have to do the herringbone pattern. but here we are. also there's this equal exchange that I can't do nice portraits when it's not cropped to faces so um. fuck it we ball. the joints are sloppy because I finished it with a pen tablet when I had to transfer to the laptop and I uh. just viewed like two picture references and went insane. the hair was fucking killing me the robe was killing me I hate painting for real I don't know where light comes from and where shadows go and um. that's the point of art I think. making illusions with whatever you have it's literally just colors and lines and patterns and shapes messing with your head until you get something that resembles. SOMETHING. then my signature one thousand million filters to cover up everything else I didn't render properly because that's how. I do everything apparently. whuh.

I feel like one of the most underrated protective Rhett moments is how he reacted learning that a fan grabbed Link in that one EB episode. He got so overworked and lost his composure (that usually happens when he's jealous) that he told Link he should kill anyone who tries to touch him (later played it off as a joke) but he was so clearly scarily angry. It came across as (if someone touches you, I'll kill them). This is makes me connect some dots to that other EB when he dreamt about Link being in prison and they made the conclusion the prison was in Scandinavia then out of the blue Rhett said if he were to kill anyone it would be in Scandinavia (which in that context means he would do it to protect Link).

first of all, anon, i'm sorry this took forever for me to respond to. once i saw the second part (credit to @leelaihardly in helping find it), i wanted to write down some of the things that stuck out.

in the initial clip, rhett seems not just frustrated that link was grabbed, but also that he hadn't been told about it in the moment. in his mind their fates are directly linked (lol) and not saying anything puts link's safety in jeopardy which (unspoken) puts rhett's fate in jeopardy by proxy. protect the pack energy, like a body guard warning link off neglecting to speak up in the future. (obviously, rhett would've showed off some of those disarming moves. or at least put his large form between link and someone bothering him, as he's done all their life).

and in the second clip, the protectiveness didn't just extend to the dream murder charge he'd happily take in scandinavia (likely, as you alluded, because someone tried grabbing at link in front of him and he knew about it, this time).

the rest of it... well, it brought some other things to mind. and before all that, shoutout to jessie for trying to cut to the chase and say it was about the literal thought prompt they got during a live show.

a less realistic but still fun ✨dream analysis✨ is under the cut:

if i were rhett's friend and he asked me how would i interpret it, as it was described, i'd point him towards the deconstruction episodes. he even admits his mind had been dwelling on going home since this was recorded days before they literally flew home to shoot the buies creek documentary. as rhett himself points out, it's the same exact setting of the dream since the golf course (although only vaguely described here) was literally the backyard of his childhood home.

so it tracks that going back there, to that home (which his family didn't even own anymore, but still was marked by the vinyl siding and engraved brick that showed they were once there), to the church, to the river, and shining a spotlight on it all meant they had to finally confront it. a little bit during the documentary (they are confirmed verbal processors) when they were explaining some of the reasoning behind why they were doing some weird thing in some weird place in and around the church. it makes sense that thinking about all of that kept it all on his mind as he dreamed and it's no surprise they barely waited a year before recording their deconstruction episodes after these were both filmed. once they reconnected with those places, the need to explain themselves fully probably felt urgent, to show they weren't those people anymore. they've referred to a constantly trickle of questions about those origins that they'd consistently felt disingenuous for not speaking about directly up until that point.

just as stubborn as in the dream when rhett's deconstruction spiraled into what it became, he confirmed leading up to the moment in ear biscuits above, he knew full well that inviting link even just to listen to him talk through his doubts would put link's own beliefs on shakier and shakier ground over time, but he did it anyway. when link doesn't seem taken with the idea of fighting the court case, rhett panics and forces them both to flee.

separately, link, despite not being the one to initiate the pull away and having been resigned to it actually ends up taking to the life in prison and on the run (not having any set structure of 'what' his beliefs are outside of prioritizing love) more smoothly than rhett has. this has been shown to frustrate rhett as they continued down the path they've ended up on, akin to needing to tape down his jumpsuit sleeves before jumping in the getaway car. now, rhett appears to be hovering closer to find a version of link's freedom that works for them both (mostly for safety/risk-related reasons, in times i've seen it brought up). he was on a mission to leave the church (irony) and even though he's written a whole album about how scared he was that his family was going to want to disown him for it... he still continued, undeterred waiting for link to get in the car. because, again, their fates are intertwined. if link doesn't get in the car, rhett might be driving alone, but he's not driving away.

see, to me, rhett thinks of the idea of link being in jail in the same way: as a problem for them both. link in jail means rhett is in constant psychic pain until he's come to his senses about how wrongful the conviction was and joins the cause to overturn it, or they make a break for it. i don't think it's even a stretch to say that he felt the same way about keeping these major religious revelations from him as they were discovered. at the time it was happening, they worked for the church and had abandoned their former careers to do so. it put a lot of pressure on how much they shared even just with their spouses at the beginning.

and considering they later literally ran away together across the country to start over again with their families in california, it's a pretty consistent metaphor. they've said that leaving didn't start the process, but it stopped them from feeling trapped by the culture surrounding them. it was the door into the wilderness where they now live. amongst bears and beautiful people. free to roam, but not because they're in a scandinavian prison for murder. their beliefs died of natural causes and link was wrongfully accused.

Persona: How does their day-to-day personality compare to their on-stage persona?

Day to day she's honestly a lot more serious and severe, which is really coming out in this competition. She wants to win and she wants to win badly. Blake called her on it, saying she has the look of "someone who won't stop until they achieve their dream." WHICH IS TRUE and honestly its rude that she was read like that. She thinks a lot of the drama parts of the reality show are ridiculous and so she'll take some of those parts less seriously, but for the most part her eyes do not leave the prize. Which is pretty at odds with how like fun, easy-going, and energetic she is on stage. Though both her persona and her personality are pretty outgoing it shows in different ways, especially since she's dancing and jumping around during her performance, generally acting pretty carefree. She's quicker to laugh on stage, whether its bantering between songs with the band (mostly Rowan) or talking to the crowd, she wants to engage them and make sure that they're having a good time. Which is to say she's far more of an entertainer on stage than she is normally, and she happily leans into that role.

Fans: How is their relationship with their fans? Do they go out of their way to interact? 

It's great! She makes it a point in performances to engage the crowd and she gives shoutouts to her fans on social media ykyk. In part it's because like she was there, she knows how much certain bands meant to her, and as a result she tries to keep a little more accessible to the fans. She'll like post videos, host little AMAs, give little "BTS" peeks to keep fans involved. It is hard for her to put her foot down and shut things out when fans might cross the line, but that's what Orion and Iris are there for. She DOES!! She goes out of her way tho to interact with her fans (which are called The Chorus because I'm a big fan of Tyranny :))) ) and some people may think it's like egotistical or arrogant of her that she like prioritizes like, talking with fans, signing things, taking photos with fans, but she does it genuinely out of a want to like connect with them. She doesn't ever want to get too big where she can't.

Wild card: Tell us something about your MC!

She exercises like a mof now. She realized HARD CORE that in being that energetic on stage meant she ran out of air and energy FAST. So she had to start taking a real interest in her like health and fitness. At like 26? 27? She's starting to like try and correct from all of the bullshit she used to do when she was younger and just take an interest in like making sure she's doing everything she can to be at peak performance .......... and she's mostly successful :) ignore the partying. She tries working out with Orion not only to actually try and keep up with him but also to try and snap pics of him for the social media and feed the fans some eye candy (when she's not making some thirst traps for her own personal page). She sleeps clutching onto a pillow, for some reason :). And she unironically has the Kim Possible ringtone for her messages when her cell phone is off vibrate because of some hate comments that called her Kim Possible due to her makeup style. She also constantly wears a leather jacket of Seven's which she kept in the "divorce".
