feel like sometimes the fandom forgets (and imo it’s good to move on and not think about it all the time too) how scarily close we did come to another headline about a young up and coming rock star found dead in their house at 21. to the band breaking up and spiralling in their own ways and a family from the hawkesbury in nsw knowing a grief no one should ever have to experience. but instead we got 4 solo albums, 3 band albums, and more tours than should be humanly possible. we got support for the 2017 referendum in australia and a few months later a huge radio hit and years and years of watching each band member grow into themselves. and they’re all different people now and no one is defined by the struggles of the past but I am so grateful that this is the universe we get to live in. I’m so grateful that they had what it takes to survive and to not become a statistic and a warning in aussie homes as to why not to become a musician
