You could barely breathe, gripping your chest in pain as you took hard gasps for air. Throat dry as you crawled closer to Neuvillette. You stared at him and he stared back with those now lifeless lavender eyes. Ones that you could not erase from your memory. Ones that used to brighten and stare back at you so lovingly.

You can still remember everything to the point it hurt. His smooth velvety voice that would call upon you from his soft lips or when he’d gently kiss you with them. His beautiful silver hair that you’d run your fingers through, tracing his water-like tendrils. His warm hands, which you’d hold as you walked together, gazing at the stores in Fontaine.

Now, his lips were dried and bloodied, not a breath escaping them. His hair cascaded his pale face and onto the floor, only to become greeted and soaked by a pool of crimson. His hands had become cold as ice, indicating his departure from the world.

You wanted to scream, shout, but that was impossible. The only thing you could do was attempt to breathe, choking out sobs as you cradled his bloody cold hand like a lifeline.

…

No.. wait. That was wrong, everything was wrong. What were you staring at again? There was blood everywhere and-

“(Y/n)..?”

A soft voice echoed in your ear. It was only when a cool hand touched your forehead did you snap out of your trance. You forcefully had to take a gasp of air, cold sweat dripping from your temple.

Where-? Oh right. You were having tea time with Neuvillette in his office and there he was, looking at you so lovingly yet with so much concern that it made your heart ache.

Did you fall asleep while Neuvillette chatted about the taste of the local waters of Natlan? That is most likely, though, that wasn’t as important as the gaping memory of your dream. You could barely remember it now that you’ve woken up.

“Darling, are you ill? Sigewinne is visiting today, maybe we can ask her to check you out.” Neuvillette spoke again, dragging you away from your thoughts. His voice was silky smooth, comforting your ears as you stare at his bright lavender eyes. A soft sigh of relief escaped your lips as you motioned him to sit next to you, which he quickly obliged without hesitation.

You were still trembling.

Just what did you dream of to have this effect on you?

Picking up your teacup, you muster up the strength to mutter a small, “I’m fine,” taking a deep breath to calm down as you stared at the cup now in your hand before back at him.

You had no idea what expression you were making yet you could guess based on the small furrow of his brows that it was not good.

Needing to feel his calming presence, you softly plead, “Hug me, please,” and he listens. His warm body wrapping around you, letting you burrow into the crook of his neck. The comforting sound of his heartbeat soothed you as he kissed your temples to further calm you down.

You were safe. He was safe. It was a dream. Nothing more, nothing less. Your dear Neuvillette was here, he always was.

A/n: this was from me making up a story in my head weeks ago. Apparently I still remember it so I write it. This is my first story on tumblr so I hope you liked it!! (Took like 2 hours.. I really suck at doing things quickly)

I'm just imagining Sevika charging into battle not knowing where her girls are. she hears whispers from the battlefield that Isha is dead and that Jinx is gone. taken. captured. surrendered. she doesn't want to accept either. she almost refuses. and it's in the back of her mind that she has to live so she can find her girls, and at the very least, remember them.

and she almost dies. she thinks that there might not be anyone to remember them. to find them.

and then she doesn't. she doesn't die. and one thing leads to another, and she's on the council. and....

she still doesn't know what happened to them.

and then Vi, the girl who, justifiably, hates her guts, comes back. and the look on her face all She needs to know Jinx is gone. but she can't accept it. she can't.

she demands to know what happened, in a clipped, gruff manner, not displaying much care, but her eyes are teary and her gut is churning.... and Vi just says they're gone.

and all Sevika can do is whisper "... both?"

and she doesn't wait for an answer. the face is enough. "how?".

the answer kills her.

she walks away. murmurs an apology over her shoulder.

she doesn't know what to do with the feeling in her chest. her fingers trace over the carving in her arm.

the clock ticked softly in the background as you sat across from megumi, a stack of textbooks between you. the dim light of the desk lamp cast a warm glow over the room, the atmosphere quiet except for the occasional scratch of pens on paper.

"oi megumi," you called softly, nudging your mug toward him. "could you get me a refill? just a little bit of coffee."

megumi barely looked up from his notes. "sure, give me a second." he reached for the mug without thinking, but then his hand froze midair. slowly, he turned to you, eyes narrowing slightly.

"what did you just call me?"

you blinked. "megumi...?"

his face betrayed a faint hint of surprise, though he quickly schooled his expression into neutrality. "you never call me by my first name."

"so?" you asked, feigning indifference, but the subtle twitch of your lips gave you away.

he stared at you for a moment longer before letting out a quiet huff. "fine. i'll get your coffee."

you smirked as he walked away, noticing the slight redness in his ears. when he returned and handed you the mug, he muttered under his breath, "if you're going to call me that, at least don't say it so casually."

"why?" you teased, taking a sip of the coffee. "does it bother you, megumi?"

his glare was unconvincing, the pink flush on his cheeks making it impossible to take him seriously. "just shut up and study."

ꗃ i.yuji

the cinema was buzzing with excitement, fans eagerly lining up to catch the latest blockbuster. you and yuji stood at the counter, debating which snacks to get.

"you sure you don't want popcorn?" he asked, holding up an absurdly large bucket.

"i'll just steal some of yours, yuji." you replied casually, scanning the drink options.

he froze, his eyes widening as he slowly turned to face you. "wait… did you just call me yuji?"

"yeah? that's your name, isn't it?" you replied, glancing up in confusion.

his face broke into the biggest grin you'd ever seen. "you never call me that! you always just say 'itadori' or something!"

"it's not that big of a deal," you mumbled, slightly flustered at how happy he looked.

"it is to me!" he said earnestly, clutching the popcorn bucket like it was a trophy. "you have no idea how cool that sounded. say it again!"

you rolled your eyes, though your cheeks warmed. "c'mon, yuji, let's grab our seats before the movie starts."

"twice in one night!" he exclaimed, trailing after you with an excited bounce in his step. "best day ever!"

you were used to quiet moments like these, sitting across from kento in the break room as you both sipped tea. he preferred these moments of calm over the usual chaos of the day. it was peaceful—until you broke the silence.

"kento, can you pass me the sugar?" you asked, your voice as soft as the clink of your cup on the table.

kento froze, his hand hovering above his own mug. slowly, his eyes flicked toward you, eyebrows slightly raised in surprise. "what... did you just say?"

you blinked at him, unsure what the fuss was about. "kento. that's your name, isn't it?"

he sat straighter, visibly taken aback. "yes, but you've never called me that before."

you shrugged, a faint smirk tugging at your lips. "i felt like trying it out. don't you like it?"

he opened his mouth to respond but quickly closed it again, his expression carefully neutral. despite his best efforts, a slight pink hue crept up his neck. "it's... fine. just unexpected."

you couldn't resist teasing him further. "you're blushing."

"i am not," he said firmly, though his voice wavered ever so slightly.

"sure you aren't," you replied with a chuckle, leaning back in your chair.

kento cleared his throat, determined to regain his composure. "if you're going to use my first name, at least don't make it sound weird."

"noted, kento," you said, emphasizing his name.

he sighed, adjusting his tie with a faint grumble. "somehow, i doubt you'll take that seriously."

ꗃ g.satoru

the jujutsu high campus was unusually quiet for once. you sat cross-legged on the grass, trying to enjoy the rare peace, but satoru had other plans.

"oi, what are you doing all the way over here?" his unmistakable voice called out before he plopped himself down next to you without invitation.

you sighed, already anticipating the chaos. "nothing, satoru."

he blinked, pausing mid-sentence as if your words had caught him off guard. "wait, hold on. did you just call me satoru?"

you raised an eyebrow. "since when is that a problem?"

his signature grin spread across his face, his sunglasses glinting in the sunlight. "aw, you're getting all cozy with me now, huh? first-name basis and everything!"

you rolled your eyes. "it's just a name. you're overreacting, moron."

"but it's kinda weird," he teased, leaning in dramatically as if to inspect you. "you're always so serious and proper. this is huge!"

"satoru," you deadpanned, "stop acting like a child."

"see? there it is again!" he clutched his chest as if you'd struck him with a love arrow. "hearing you say my name is like music to my ears. say it again."

"no."

"say it, and i'll buy you that fancy coffee you like."

you shot him a skeptical glance but couldn't hide the faint twitch of your lips. "satoru."

he gasped, clasping his hands together in mock joy. "ah, perfection! my name has never sounded so good!"

"are you done?" you asked, standing up to leave.

"not even close," he replied, springing to his feet and trailing after you like a shadow. "now, should i start calling you by your first name too? or do you prefer some cute nickname—"

you groaned, walking faster. "why did i even bother?"

behind you, satoru chuckled, clearly enjoying every second. "because you secretly like me, obviously!"

a/n; my favorite is gumi. he was such a blast to write. (i was kicking my feet and giggling like a maniac) sry it took me so long though, i kinda lost my motivation for a bit smh.

Okay Louis and Juno's relationship in the anime is actually being butchered and that makes me so sad. I went back and re-read the kiss scene and it's baffling how downplayed Louis' feelings are in the anime??? Like. Look how the scene plays out after they kiss:

Those internal monologues are EVERYTHING. He doesn't believe the Sigma Male Nonsense he's spouting!! He knows Juno is a social climber who has trouble controlling her emotions so he's trying to get her to not sabotage herself by pursuing a relationship with him!!

Not only did the anime remove his internal monologue (only the ones that imply he might actually feel something for Juno btw. When he's thinking about literally anything else noooo we can make him monologue pff it's fineee) but they also knocked down Louis' reaction AND removed the shot of Juno crying.

Which brings me to my next point. The anime doesn't seem to take Juno seriously as a character. They're using her only as a comedic relief, you're not supposed to feel bad for her, you're supposed to laugh at how incompetent she is at romance and how Louis is too much of a Sigma to EVER fall in love with someone like HER. As if these panels meant nothing:

While Juno is a very immature and emotional character and her chapters tend to go for something lighter and more comedic the manga is capable of taking her seriously. Something the anime doesn't do. They take what's surface-level about Juno and go with that.

I think a BIG part of this change is the fact Louis and Juno don't end up together in the manga and they don't want to dissappoint people. I think that's fuckin stupid. The entire point of the love failiure arc is that interspecies romance is COMPLICATED and more often than not doesn't work out. Legoshi and Haru stick to their guns and make it work, but Louis prioritizes his position as heir to the the Horns Conglomerate which is why he and Juno don't end up together. It hurts, but it makes sense for the characters and the story. Removing this and downplaying it as "haha silly Juno and her silly romantic endeavors" hurts the story imo.

Anyway in conclusion. Look how they massacred my girl.

I can't stop thinking about the typical hero vs villain trope, but this time, the villain gets infatuated with you, the heroine, and it starts to show.

You're informed of the villain's whereabouts as he wreaks havoc throughout the city you protect. You confront him as normal, only to find out that the reason he started blowing up empty buildings was to purposefully draw your attention.

"This was the only way I could get in contact with you, little hero. It's not as if I have your personal number... We could change that now, actually~. Will you give me your number?"

You're beyond confused, assuming at first that he was just messing around and trying to throw you off your game. You engage in battle and exchange blows before your sidekick shows up. The villain clicks his tongue and complains about how your "date has been ruined" before taking off, promising that you'll continue at a later date. Your sidekick is just as confused as you are once they spot the villain flying away, asking you what happened. You have no idea either.

He wastes no time getting back in contact with you, this time, through a private number. You thought it could've been a call from another hero, but no, it's that damned villain again... You, of course, question why in the world he would be calling you, to which he replies with a light chuckle and: "I just wanted to hear your voice. It's been a while since our last rendezvous, sweetheart."

You better believe he won't allow another villain to take up your attention either. He'll get rid of them and then leave a love note for you, bragging about how he's helping make your job a tad bit easier so that the both of you can finally go on a long overdue honeymoon, uninterrupted.

...This man is absolutely insane.
