been thinking about the possibility of eventually making uvtale into it's own thing, not for anything I just like the concept a lot and I want it to become my very own original story at some point

the story as it is has similar concepts to uvtale but the lore would need to be re-worked to fit in the new setting I invision for it

as a preliminary title for this *version of Uvtale I think I wanna call It uhh

"Penumbra" because the name of the protagonist is umbra-

doing some diggining into australium for a video im planning on making, and according to the wiki, the australium used for the poopy joe launch was harvested from america. then of course admin came and scooped that shit all up and it all got used for her gay ass.

it also mentions that all of australia's australium was depleted and the australium cave that soldier lives in was the last australium.

you may notice i said AMERICA and AUSTRALIA's australium caches were depleted. but then the wiki says thats the LAST of the australium? i can't think of any specific geological conditions that australia and seemingly general united states of america would share that would mean they're the only places where australium could be found. did they never check europe? south america? asia? fucking russia? goddamn AFRICA, aka historically used for mining rare minerals/metals (with slavery).

i refuse to believe they actually got rid of all of the australium, there's probably millions of pounds still out there under the rock they haven't checked

hello i fell down a rabbit hole of LADbible videos may i share with you my favorites so far

incredibly interesting vid about being in space. i've always been obsessed with astronauts i literally had instagram notifications on when scott kelly was doing the year in space!!!! love hearing about daily life in space and all the interesting and scary stuff that can happen. space discoveries are literally the one thing that makes me look forward to the future yippee

i don't believe in religion but i do love to hear people's points of view on it and my god was it lovely to listen to this nun. it's nice to see that in a religion that is used for so much hate, there are people who are not judgemental, do things out of love and believe in something for the good of it

holy shit this man has lived a crazy life. insane stories about the drug industry and i really liked his thoughts on how to fix(?) it

this one's absolutely fucking grim oh my god. i love a good crime show but hearing these things that happen in real life are insane and how they find killers and stuff wow jeez. very interesting do not watch while having dinner tho

oh wait i’m cooking. i’ve had an amell planned for a while who would romance and harden alistair and then conscript loghain (because the wardens need his experience) and sacrifice herself (she’s strongly anti blood magic and even tattled on jowan in the prologue)

I think after lothering, they would head right to redcliffe, but she wouldn’t want to get involved with all of their shit bc she has her own problems to deal with. so they go to get the ashes themselves, without helping the town. she poisons the ashes (because why not? she’s not devout and she has to eliminate the possibility that their enemies also might need this, and if that’s the case she has the upper hand) and kills leliana. they return to redcliffe triumphant, having made their own sacrifices—but it’s gone too

she’s an armchair strategist, fancies herself a pragmatist because she’s read books and knows theories and history. she knows, on paper, that war requires sacrifice, as does working for a greater cause. but she’s also never been outside before and doesn’t fully understand the consequences of her actions until that moment.

no art sorry guys but some dumps on more of my shin floormaster au under the cut. super super long post btw !!!! u have been warned...!!!

it's entirely the same up until the point shin meets midori in highschool. in this au, they actually meet a little later; shin's in his third year of highschool instead of his second (i think this is canon??? i dont remember yttd's timeline very well sorry) and midori seems really insistent on being shin's friend so really quickly they form a friendship. their friendship is really strained and any outsider can tell midori doesn't look like he genuinely enjoys being around shin and same with shin to midori, but they continue being friends anyways. midori always seems really stressed around him and speaks really quickly so shin just suspects he's being forced to make some friends but things take a turn whenever he realizes midori is literally being forced to be his friend. he spots midori calling someone while he believes shin is in the kitchen and he details how their progress is going and midori expressing how he doesn't know how "asu-naro" expects him to carry all of this on his shoulders. shin obviously is super unnerved by this and is even more unnerved whenever midori promptly finishes the call and then snaps the phone in half and throws it in the trash carelessly. their friendship seems even worse after that, midori always spending time with him while staring at the clock and then standing up whenever the clock hit a certain second and running off to whatever shift he had to work next.

eventually, shin does some digging, and figures out from a careless disposal of a one-time phone that wasn't quite broken all the way that midori's working for some shady company called asu-naro and documenting him and many other people. shin confronts midori about this, and to his surprise, midori's face shows something other than stress or strained smiles. he looks scared shitless. shin's unnerved by this, but midori only sits in silence, jaw dropped slightly and eyes wide and spinning with regret and terror. midori promptly gets up, ignoring shin's calls of distress, and calls (he assumes) the same person he'd been calling all along. ten minutes pass and shin is knocked out cold before he can even ask who the people in his apartment are and the last thing he sees is midori with a sweat-drenched forehead. he wakes up and things continue as i stated in my original post, he's questioned vigorously and whenever he's done, he's given the choice to die or be forced to become an employee. he later learns midori suggested the second one, claiming shin had an insane intellect that no other person had to be able to pick up on midori himself. shin didn't really have the heart to tell him it was just because midori wasn't as strong as he thought he was.

anywho after all that's done they become coworkers and shin's a little bitter about midori forcing him to abandon everything he cared for but they're actual friends now or friendly coworkers at the worst. that's all :) thanks for reading

Reblogged that post about absolute robin mostly just to share what Snyder has said. Honestly some of the thoughts I've had for Absolute Talon Dick could lend to that- cause I have considered Talon Dick retaining a degree of separation from Bruce even after they become chill with each other- cuz it made sense Bruce can't take Dick in as a civilian necessarily and yeah. But I am thinking about Snyder said. Don't care for Bruce remaining isolated permanently without a robin, but I can live with the choice. And it does sound like he's still ruminating on that so we'll see what goes. AM however interested by what he said about Dick appearing early on because it sounds as if there was a hint of him in the earlier issues and if so I need to figure it out.
