As Above, So Below
Gin, lemon juice, Earl Grey syrup, club soda, and butterfly pea flower tea
Tumblr media
Quod est superius est sicut quod inferius, et quod inferius est sicut quod est superius.
Alchemy was always about more than just turning lead into gold. It was a spiritual quest for cosmic understanding and ultimate truth, and with that knowledge would come power and immortality. John Dee, an alchemist, occultist, and advisor to Queen Elizabeth I, dedicated his life to this very pursuit. His cause persisted beyond his death, carried on by the Order, a Hermetic secret society created by the Queen and dedicated to uncovering the mysteries and powers of the occult.
Four hundred years later, the Order was led by Katherine Marlowe and her right-hand man Talbot, no last name given in true secret society manner. The two were on the hunt for the mythical city of Ubar, a place that former Order member Sir Francis Drake had lied about finding, fearing its power falling into the wrong hands. Both Marlowe and Talbot perished as Ubar was destroyed, Nathan Drake's luck striking again. In the end, I'd say those two got exactly what they deserved.
As Above, So Below is alchemy in a glass, a cocktail that literally transforms before your eyes. The drink begins as a golden elixir before butterfly pea flower tea is added. The deep blue butterfly pea flower tea immediately turns a vivid purple when it reaches the acidic lemon juice in the drink and the colors of the cocktail are split in two: purple above and gold below. With a stir, the two worlds combine and the final transformation occurs. Just like magic.
AS ABOVE, SO BELOW
Butterfly Pea Flower Tea ingredients: 1 cup of water 20-30 butterfly pea flower leaves Cocktail Ingredients: 2.5 oz gin 0.75 oz lemon juice 1.5 oz. Earl Grey syrup 2 oz. club soda 0.75 oz. butterfly pea flower tea To make the butterfly pea flower tea, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove the water from heat and add 20-30 butterfly pea flowers to it. The more tea leaves you use, the more concentrated and colorful the tea will be. Cover and let steep for at least 10 minutes. Strain out the butterfly pea flowers and dry them for later use as a garnish. Let the tea cool before bottling. To make As Above, So Below, first pour the club soda into a Zombie or chimney glass. Combine the gin, lemon juice, and Earl Grey syrup with pebble ice or crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and dump directly into the glass. Top the glass with more ice, packed tightly, and then float the butterfly pea flower tea on top. Slowly stir to watch the magic happen, and then garnish with dried butterfly pea flowers.
Much like rum, each gin is going to have its own distinct flavor. All gins contain juniper but what other botanicals are used and to what degree is going to vary wildly from gin to gin. To represent the Order's English roots, I used a London Dry gin, specifically Bombay Sapphire. Tanqueray and Beefeater gins also fall into this category. If you want to lean more into a citrusy flavor, Plymouth is a great choice as well.
Butterfly pea flower leaves can usually be found in tea or spice shops or similar locations, or special ordered online. When the pH balance of the butterfly pea flower tea is altered, it changes color hence why the tea is added separately.
To make the drink less sweet or more tart, you can adjust the amount of Earl Grey syrup or lemon juice to taste.
The recipe for Earl Grey syrup can be found here.

Heyy!! I saw your 12 days of christmas prompt before, and I was wondering if I could request a (slight enemies to lovers) Jack Thompson x reader fic, where it’s the reader’s first time in NY in December and she gets mildly overwhelmed by all the lights and stuff before running into Jack by accident? :) (I was trying to come up with something relatively festive and this was what my brain came up with lmao 😭😭) Anyway, I’m in love with your writing and I really wanted to see this kinda prompt with your Jack interp!! <3
thank you so much! I hope this is good I worked really hard on it and i think it turned out amazing <3

12 Days of Christmas masterlist main masterlist
Y/N was lost.
She would never admit it, would not ask for help from the tall men in big coats and fancy hats with even fancier shoes, but she had no idea where she was. Everything in New York looked the same to her, and she had let herself have a glass of wine and a gin and tonic at the small pub she had stopped at, so she wasn't exactly sober either. She wasn't drunk, not by any means, but she didn't have alcohol often.
And then there was the city itself. It was freezing, the October weather surprising her. She was shivering in her sweater and small coat, wishing she had been smart enough to either bring a bigger coat or not come during the beginning of winter.
And the lights. She knew that people said that as the sky got darker in New York, the city got brighter, but she didn't realize how true this would be until it was 6:30 at night and she felt like she could see everything as clearly as if it were sunny. But she couldn't feel the warmth from this so she was just shivering as she walked through Rockefeller Square. She had been looking up at the building when she realized her feet were still moving and she ran straight into someone else.
This was a common occurrence in New York, she had come to realize, but this time she was already off balance. She clutched to the person in front of her, grabbing his arms as he put his hands on her waist to keep her from falling.
"Shit," She whispers, looking up at the man. He was tall with blond hair, dark eyes wide and looking at her concerned. She's just intoxicated enough to stare at him for a moment longer than she should have.
"Are you alright?" He asks hands moving higher, but still on her waist to steady her. She never wants him to let go. His hands feel huge on her back, and it makes her face flush in a way that she hasn't felt in awhile.
"Uh," She blinked as her brain came back online.
"Hello?" He lets go of her and she instantly feels the cold of New York against her cheeks. Who knew this guy would be such a prick?
"Sorry," She's slightly bristled now. She hadn't meant to run into the man, it had just happened. "I didn't mean to. It's just my first time in New York." She steps back, clearly annoyed.
"Here's a tip, tourists are so easy to spot because of shit like this." He tells her, feeding into her anger.
"I moved here." She explains.
"Even worse." The man rolls his eyes and Y/N scoffs.
"Good thing it's a big city." She sighs as she walks away without a goodbye, upset that this is the first man she met.
"Great." He mutters, continuing his walk home. He's never been so thankful for how big the city is.
~
Jack is running late. And he is not a man who runs late often. It's also raining, and he forgot his umbrella. Nothing is going well.
His car is still in the shop, and at this point he thinks he may just have to get a new one. After waking up late, he's practically sprinting to the subway nearest to him. He barely makes it through the doors as they're closing. He nearly slips as he skids to a stop, his jacket the only thing keeping him from being completely soaked through. He slicks his hair back and grabs the pole across from him, accidentally grabbing the hand on someone else. As he looks up he doesn't have the chance to see who they are before the train lurches and the person goes flying into him.
"Oh dear," The girl says, hand on his chest to steady herself. His hand is on her back, and although she pulls back to look at him he knows who she is before he can see her face.
"You've gotta be shitting me." He mutters, pulling back to see her. It's the same girl who he ran into the other day in Rockefeller Square.
"You again?" She recoils, brows furrowed. Jack cannot believe his luck, if that's what you could call running into one person twice in a week.
"You ran into me! Twice!" He's losing his patience, and he only feels slightly bad.
"You've got to be kidding!" She yells, catching the attention of everyone else in the car.
"Lower your voice," He looks around nervously, clutching his briefcase as tightly as he can. Being an agent and also slightly an introvert, he hates the attention.
"What's your name?" She asks. It jars him, because she was just yelling at him.
"Jack," He answers,  too confused to answer with a question of his own. What was with the sudden switch up.
"Well, Jack, if you weren't such a dick then maybe we could have been friends when I first ran into you! You could've been my first friend in New York." The subway finally makes enough stops that there's open seats, and Y/N sits down without thinking to check were they're at.
"I don't have friends." He scoffed, looking away from her.
"That makes two of us." They make eye contact at this before he looks away, unable to look for too long. He knows he'll feel like shit as soon as he sees that she's hurt.
"Alright," He's not quite sure what else to say, looking down the car through the window to another car. There's a man and a woman in that one talking to each other, both with smitten expressions.
"So, you're not gonna ask?" She questions, causing him to look at her. He takes in her face, her hair, her eyes, and wonders why he didn't notice how beautiful she was when they first bumped into each other.
In his defense, he had been having a bad day.
"Ask what?" He's very confused, and his feelings are making him more confused.
"What my name is." When she says it he realizes he never asked.
"Oh, right," He chuckles, trying to play it cool. He's about to ask when the subway stops and she looks up.
"Oh, gosh!" She yells, seeing she missed her stop. "Nice meeting you, Jack!" She calls before running out.
"I never got your name!" He calls, but the doors are already shut and she's long gone.
~
"How would I go about finding someone who isn't apart of a case?" Jack asks Peggy one day. He thought that he'd possibly run into the girl again, but after a month of having to stay late from leaving at all different times to try and catch her, he's at the end of his rope. He's cannot keep doing this.
"What?" She asks, looking up concerned and confused. They're the only two in the office, having stayed late tonight.
"I need to find a girl." This clears absolutely nothing up. "A normal civillian."
"Jack," Peggy puts down what she's working on, trying to figure out what exactly he needs. "Why do you need to find a girl?"
"I ran into her twice and I can't stop thinking about her." Jack has never talked about a personal things with Peggy, so she decided to help him this time.
"What's her name?" Peggy asks, leaning back and crossing her arms.
"Funny story about that." He starts, making himself comfortable as he sits on her desk. "I don't actually know."
"Jack," Peggy starts, pinching the bridge of her nose. She's absolutely too tired to deal with this.
"I know," He starts, crossing his arms now.
"What am I supposed to do?" She asks.
"Help me?" He asks, but Peggy shakes her head.
"You're on your own for this one." She shrugs, and Jack groans.
~
It's two months before he sees her again.
He was walking through Rockefeller once more, taking in the tree and the lights that shine even brighter in December. He turns just in time to see someone directly in front of him, who's looking at the lights as well.
"Oh," She says when she bumps into him, letting his hands grasp her waist in response to her grabbing his arms for balance.
Of course it's her.
"What's your name?" He whispers, not letting her go this time. She blinks up at him for a few seconds while he takes time to stare at her. Red and green lights reflect in her eyes, shining across her face and making her look like she came straight out of a painting. Jack wouldn't be surprised if she had.
"Y/N," She answers, and it's like music to Jack's ears. They smile at each other as they let go slowly.
"Go ice-skating with me, Y/N." He nods to the ice skating rink next to them. He doesn't ask, because he's afraid that after their last two meetings her answer will be no.
"Only if you hold my hand." She offers with a smile.
"I'd never let go." He grabs her hand and they make their way to the rink.

★ SOLAR - 23 YEARS OLD - QUEER - POLYAM - CLOSED - AUTISTIC - GNC TRANS GUY - ALTERHUMAN - WHITE - BRITISH - HE / IT ★
Hey there! My name's Cody, but I generally tend to go by Solar, Ray or Sunny online. That said, you can call me pretty much whatever you want. I'm not too picky. I'm a hobbyist artist, occasional writer and professional dog who's had the misfortune of being on this miserable hellsite (do people still call Tumblr that?) since 2014. I was around before then, but I didn't make an account until that point. My blog isn't strictly NSFW, but I do reblog posts with dirty humour and references to sex. So if you're a minor or someone who doesn't want to see that kind of thing? I wouldn't recommend following me. Want to know more about me or about this blog? You can find more info under the cut! ✌️
The dividers in this post were made by @chocoperrito and you can find them here! ❤
Tumblr media
》 WHAT'S THIS BLOG ABOUT, DOG MAN?
I'm glad you asked! This is my main blog so it's generally just a mish mash of all sorts. Anything and everything pertaining to my interests goes here, it's a total free-for-all. That said, you can mostly expect reblogs about queer topics, political and social issues, different media that I like, shitposts and furry art. Lots and lots of furry art. I may occasionally post my own art here and possibly my own writing in the future if I feel confident enough.
》 WHAT ARE YOU INTERESTED IN?
I am, in fact, a human person with nuance so you can argue that no matter how many things I tell you that I like? None of this will even come close to conveying the full spectrum of who I am, so please keep that in mind. I'm more than my interests. That said, it doesn't mean I can't at least give you an idea of the things I enjoy so to name a few things offhandedly: I really enjoy art, writing, reading, poetry, photography, filmmaking, animation, cartoons, video games, RPGs, 3D platformers, visual novels, folk punk music, ska music, 80 and 90s visual aesthetics, bright colours, primary colours, breakfast foods, thrifting, kitsch, antiques, tacky button-ups, animatronics, toy restoration, early 2000s internet, xenofiction, medieval fantasy, lost media, queer history, TV history, film history, furry history (namely the funny animal era and 2000s era), cooking, horror movies, folklore, cryptids, musicals, storytelling, worldbuilding, history, psychology, archaeology, zoology, etymology and space!
》 WHAT MEDIA DO YOU LIKE?
I like a lot of different media and the ones I actively choose to engage with fluctuates pretty frequently, but currently the ones of note are... Pokémon, Warriors, Watership Down, Animal Crossing, The Lion King, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, Beastars, The Legend of Zelda, Bugsnax, Banjo Kazooie, Viva Pinata, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Sonic The Hedgehog, Zero Escape, Ace Attorney, Another Code, Welcome To Nightvale, Little Shop Of Horrors, Ride The Cyclone, Starkid, Be More Chill, Heathers, Cats, Waitress, In The Heights, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Child's Play, The Gregory Horror Show, The Owl House, Steven Universe, Portal, Half Life, TF2, HLVRAI, What We Do In The Shadows, Our Flag Means Death, Interview With The Vampire, Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, Scott Pilgrim, Sam And Max, The Good Place, Gravity Falls, My Little Pony, Night In The Woods, Slay The Princess, Dragon Age, Fable and Good Omens! Hyperfixations are bolded, because like it or not I am autistic and that does affect which of these wretched things will get a stranglehold on my attention at any given time 👍
》 YOU'RE QUEER? WHAT ARE YOUR LABELS?
I'm a gender non-conforming trans man. I go by he/him and it/its pronouns and I mostly use masculine terms (man, dude, guy, etc.) or non-gendered ambiguous terms (thing, mutt, dog, etc.) to refer to myself. That said, all this does vary whenever I feel like it and I've got no intentions of trying to mirror cis men. I see myself as a man in the same way Bugs Bunny is a man, masculine in theory but pretty malleable in practice. A man but tilted a bit too much to the left so it doesn't quite fit on the "pallatable for cis people" gender shelf.
My gender is pretty intertwined with my non-human identity; All genders feel like a costume but ambiguously fruity man is the most comfortable one for me personally. I'm a vaguely man-shaped dog thing that's just trying to resemble a person above all else, if we're being entirely honest here.
I use the labels pansexual and queer pretty interchangeably. Gender doesn't really play a part in who I'm attracted to, it's pretty irrelevant and just kind of a neat bonus more than anything. That said? Overall I'm predominantly attracted to other queer people! I do class myself as acchillean because of my attraction to other men but in a non-committal handwave kind of way, considering how weird my relationship with my own gender currently is.
I consider myself as polyamorous. I can comfortably exist in both monogamous and polyamorous relationships but between the two? Up to now I've found the latter is my preference.
Also, I know I don't owe anyone an explanation about my identity. I'm talking about this because I'd like to (queer expression is fun to talk about yippeeee) and not because I feel obligated to. People aren't owed your life story, especially people on the internet ✌️
》 DO YOU HAVE A BYF / DNI?
No, I don't have a DNI. I've come to realise that the culture surrounding DNI lists in online spaces isn't healthy and I'd far rather just curate my own spaces however I feel like it! Not that I wasn't doing that before now but given that? A DNI feels like an unnecessary step that just serves to perpetuate that culture which I don't want to do. The block button exists to be used, I block people wherever I need to for the sake of my own comfort and I recommend you do the same 🤷 That said: I'm a queer neurodivergent leftist. So I have the exact kind of opinions you'd probably expect with those descriptors in mind. All good faith identities are valid, any kind of queer exclusion is bad, bigotry towards any marginalised group is bad. Fascism and capitalism are both poison, cringe culture is dead, do what you want forever so long as it's not hurting anything or anyone and everyone deserves kindness unless they themselves don't show it. Truly some never before heard takes here on Tumblr dot com.
》 WHAT ABOUT A TAGLIST?
Not yet, but I'm slowly working on it. In the meantime? Here's what you mainly need to know. You can find my talking and general shitposts under solar talks, or my art under dog draws. I do have content warning tags! I try to be conscientious and tag anything that I know is a common trigger for people (blood, gore, bones, bright colours, insects, etc) as and where I can. I format all of my content warning tags as "cw //" and then whatever the content of the post is that needs tagged. So for example, if you don't want to see insects? You can blacklist them on my blog using cw // insects and that should stop you from seeing anything with a number of legs you aren't comfortable with. This same format applies to all of my content warning tags. If there's anything more specific you need tagged? Don't be afraid to let me know. I'm happy to accommodate you wherever you need so long as it doesn't infringe upon my right to exist; If it's something that triggers you? Then it warrants being taken seriously.
》 WHO'S THE GUY IN YOUR ICON?
That would be my fursona, Circuit! He is me, I am him, I love showing him off to people so although the art may change? He's usually the face of my online pressence. Here's his current (slightly outdated, whoops) reference sheet that I made for him:
Tumblr media
If you're curious, the art of him I have as my Tumblr icon currently (as of February 4th 2024) was a commission I got and is drawn by Pawtastic!
》 WOW, YOU TALK A LOT.
Sure do bud. Thank you for noticing! Want to hear me talk more? Then I have some sideblogs you can check out if you feel like it. fuzzypath is my Warriors sideblog (active) funky-fella is my Bugsnax sideblog (semi-active) canid-canon is my writing sideblog (WIP, inactive) I also have a NSFW sideblog dedicated to outright hornyposting, but respectfully I'm not sharing that here. If for whatever reason you'd like to see that? PM me privately to ask for it and if you're both 18+ (have your age clearly stated somewhere on your blog) and someone I trust to see it then I'll most likely give it to you!

apparently ao3 is down for a lot of people at the moment! you might have some luck if you keep refreshing and they’ve said they’re working on it, but in the meantime here’s a bit of chapter 7 to put you on 🎄‍🦺
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the oldest recipe for parsnip soup
The presents beneath the tree tumble in a great pile of reds and fir-greens and shiny, gold ribbons. Boxes and bottle-bags and something soft and crinkly that squeaks when Bunny fishes it out of the stack and squeezes it between his teeth. There's a joint present for Effie and Fleamont; something that James always sorts for both of them, from the two of them, and Sirius writes the card. It's a bulging hamper of tea and biscuits and sweets this year, chocolates from some fancy shop Effie likes and shortbread fingers in a long, tartan tin. There's a jar of fig chutney that Fleamont pores over with interest, and a box of crunchy peppermint thins, and then the customary bottle of gin for Effie with a note that reads: "Sorry I am the way that I am. - J xxx"
"That's for you, pal," James says as he sinks onto the sofa next to Sirius in front of the fire and hands him a soft, rectangular parcel. It's clumsily wrapped as ever, odd bits of sellotape hanging off the corners. "Don't say I never give you anything."
"Thank you," he says, sliding a finger carefully under the wrapping, and folding it open to hold up a plain, grey sweatshirt.
"Look on the front," James says giddily, and when Sirius flips the sweatshirt round it's to find a huge, shiny photograph of a dog's smiling face, printed onto the fabric: Bunny, mouth open and tongue lolling, a little red Santa hat balanced on top of his glossy black head.
Sirius grins.
"I like that."
"Knew you would," James says, and then: "Where's mine?"
Sirius hands him a small, silver-wrapped gift. It might be the right thing. He's not sure. He's never sure, really. Last year it was a book that he'd seen James eyeing up in the bookshop across from the student union in the autumn, and he'd seemed pleased with that. The year before it was whisky: something that Fleamont had sent him an email about towards the end of term, suggesting that James might quite like a bottle of it if Sirius hadn't found him anything yet. And James had seem pleased with that, too. But he's still never sure, really. Another puzzle.
He watches as James tears off the paper, stomach doing something mildly uncomfortable, and then James is huffing out a quick, surprised breath, and smiling, and saying:
"Oh, wow."
He looks at Sirius, and then back down at the photographs. It's a simple thing: a thin, brass frame with a hinge down the middle so that it opens like a book. A rectangular pane of glass on either side of the hinge, space for two prints that Sirius had sent away for online back in November.
"Jesus, we're young there," says James, pointing at the photograph on the left. It's a faded, speckled thing: the two of them, side-by-side in their first year at the old boarding school. Eleven years old in their ridiculous uniforms, grey shorts and little striped neckties. James grinning with his too-big glasses and a wild mop of jet-black hair, Sirius clinging loosely to the hem of James's knitted jumper with the fingers of his right hand, even though they'd only met a month or two prior. James points at the other photograph then, and says: "I don't even remember taking that!"
"It was this summer," Sirius says. "Just in the garden."
It had been a hot and hazy sort of day, he remembers, and James had just been to the Post Office to pick up a parcel which had turned out to be his new phone, and he'd spent the entire afternoon running around like a madman snapping pictures of everyone and everything. A harried Effie in the kitchen, a bemused Fleamont reading his paper in the living room, and Sirius, who he'd bounded over to and slung an easy arm around, holding the phone out in the other hand and grinning.
James is quiet for a moment. The funny, uncomfortable twist in Sirius's stomach wonders for a moment if he might've got it horribly, horribly wrong. But then James is sniffing, and looking back up at Sirius, and giving him a weak, watery smile.
"Thanks, mate."
And Sirius thinks, as James looks back down at the twin photographs, that maybe he got it right this time.

How do you drink your rooh afza? (I can’t stand it it’s always tasted like perfume to me)
it was our interns last day today and i was tasked (as usual) w choosing what we'd drink at the party—she's from pakistan and i knew she loves rose (and that she DOES drink alcohol but DOESN'T like fizzy things or anything too sweet.) i ended up finding out abt rooh afza after doing some digging online and managed to track it down at a local south asian grocery shop!!
i tried it super diluted first with just water and ice to get the vibe, and found it very nice!! BUT the cocktail i ended up coming up w was rooh afza + lemon juice + lemon gin + topped with either still or sparkling water n garnished w lemon and mint and it went CRAZYYYY. so light and refreshing and yummmmmy. it's like floral pink lemonade!!

Do you think any amateur could handle a drink like this?
Amour-propre Effervesce | Fizz, Floral, Fandom
Suletta wouldn’t drink, but Guel Jeturk would despite, imo, probably not enjoying the taste of alcohol. However, there’s a classic cocktail that's PERFECT for that -- the Ramos Gin Fizz, which I retemplated to include both an interesting purple sweetener and several layers of floral flavors including rose, with a glorious fluffy crown worthy of the Dilanza’s feather. The floral layers and variety of aromatics feels distinctly appropriate in G Witch, especially for a character like Guel.
However, the Ramos Gin Fizz isn’t for the Miorines of the cocktail world; it requires some careful prep, and takes a lot of upper arm strength and time shaking. So much like Guel had some... mechanical assistance imposed on him, we’re going to use a great hack established by famous cocktail bar Death & Co. We are going to use a whipped cream dispenser and force-nitro the cocktail to emulsify and foam up, without the hellish amount of shaking. However,  it’s important to follow these instructions carefully.
Note: Alternate creams/vegan foaming agents may not provide the desired effect, due to the importance of the proteins in both the cream and the egg white. If you want to make this a mocktail, you can use your favorite tea in place of gin and omit the creme de violette.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: A Whipped-Cream Dispenser and Nitrous Oxide cartridges(8grm). These don’t need to be industrial grade, iSi whippers -- As long as its not the style marketed as the “Easywhip” with the spout right on top, look below for an example of the shape it should be. These can be bought online, or at culinary supply stores, or your local tobacco/vape shop or adult novelty store. Please DO NOT POINT TOWARDS SELF OR OTHERS WHILE SCREWING IN THE GAS CANISTER, AND ALIGN THE THREADING ON THE CANISTER HOLDER CAREFULLY TO MINIMIZE RISK OF VENTING COLD GAS FROM AN IMPROPER PUNCTURE.
Step 1: Place serving glass in freezer.
Step 2. Place the following ingredients in your whipped cream dispenser.
Tumblr media
2 fl oz or 60ml Gin
0.5 fl oz or 15 ml Lemon Juice
0.5 fl oz or 15 ml Lime Juice
1 Dropper Bittermens Orange Cream Citrate*
.75ml Old Forester Hummingbird Rose & Citrus Bitters [or 2 dashes preferred floral bitters]
0.33 fl oz or 10ml Creme de Violette
1 fl oz or 30ml Blueberry Puree Syrup (I used Reál)
1 Egg White or 20ml liquid pasteurized egg white
0.75 fl oz or 22.5 ml Heavy Cream
1 drop Orange Blossom Water
1 drop Rosewater
*You can substitute 1 dash orange bitters[Angostura Orange preferable] and 3 drops vanilla extract if necessary or just omit
Have glass ready to receive.
Add a couple ice cubes and screw on cap tightly. Take 1 8 gram nitrous oxide charger. Common brands include Whip-Its, Bestwhip, and Leland. Insert charger into holder and screw in until you hear it vent into the dispenser.  Give it a few gentle shakes.
Add about half an ounce of chilled seltzer or soda water to the bottom of frozen glass.  Turn whip cream dispenser so spout is directly facing down and gently -- GENTLY -- press the lever to release. It should take about a minute or so to mostly fill the glass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After filling or mostly filling the glass, let sit for 2-4 minutes, ideally in freezer. Then make small divot  in foam and slowly pour in about .5-1 ounces or so of soda water. The foam should rise and not collapse if properly made and a straw inserted should stand up straight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, if you desire, as a little nod to Guel’s iconic look, use an atomizer or spray bottle to spritz Peychaud’s bitters on top of the foam. Serve with a spoon to enjoy all the foam.
Credit is due to Death & Co for originating the nitro-Gin-Fizz, David Wondrich’s Imbibe for all I could ever want or need to know about Fizzes, and this Cocktail Contessa Mocktail for the blueberry syrup inspiration.

Reincarnation (Part 1)
Tumblr media
(do not own the gif) MY FIRST EVER FANFIC. I was bored and I had a prompt in mind, plus I couldn't find any teddy x reader online so here goes nothing- Also, I can't write good prompts lmao, so just read the story. I don't own NATM characters ________________________________________________________ The time was 1901, it was September 20 A ball was held in the White House, inviting all the reporters, important political figures and celebrities. It was to celebrate Theodore Roosevelt being the new young president. Y/N, a young maiden, who was the server at the party, was star-struck seeing so many important and famous figures. She went around serving people drinks and appetizers and after an hour she gave that work to somebody else, to give her legs some rest. The ballroom was twice as big than the restaurant she worked for and her legs were giving away. She sat behind the bar counter as currently no one was coming there and she could get some rest without going inside the kitchen. She was thinking to herself random things but the man in front of the counter, with a small polite smile. The man was none other than THE President itself. Wide eyed, she immediately stood up. As he approached, she gave a small bow and stuttered a bit embarrassed, also blushing from embarrassment, "G-good a-afternoon, s-sire. W-which drink y-you may like t-to have?" She internally thought she was about to be fired for slacking instead of work. Theodore, understanding her situation, amused and said, "Well, I would like a Gin Rickey (its a cocktail)" She took out the stuff needed to make the cocktail and whilst making, she decided to strike up a conversation. That's how you ended up making friends with Theodore Roosevelt. You both would write to each other, meet up in secrecy and it didn't take long before your friendship turned to something else. Then the news also spread that you both were in a relationship. You just happened to not get a happy ending. Just before your wedding day, you got into an accident, which cost you your life. ♔♕ It's 2022, you woke up at 10:30 am. You wished you could see that same recurring sweet dream but can't because WORK. Your stupid work as the sweeper in the Museum of Natural History. Your work schedule was cleaning the museum at 5:00 am and for some reason, banana peels are lying around, liquid with bad smell (Dexter's pee lmao), some stuff moved from here to there. You found it weird. You would clean the museum right before the sunset and the night guard, Larry Daley seemed to be there a bit early. Honestly, she didn't mind as long as no one caught her staring at the statues (day dreaming). While cleaning stuff like desk, you would sometimes stare at the stature of Theodore and think to herself ,'Why is it always..you?'. You can understand that those dreams relate to him and your past but can't get over the fact you were re-incarnated and not him. One day at 2:00 am you woke up in a cold sweat, you saw yourself in vintage dress walking down the street with a couple of shopping bags. Then you heard a honking behind you but it was too late before the truck hit you and everything went blank. After that you jolted awake and couldn't sleep for the rest of the night (TO BE CONTINUED)
Don't worry, teddy got his drink lmao. I did proof-read this ff and it probably still sounds cringey asf, but eh, I'm not experienced. Requests are open!
