Nonsense! I don’t really have a secret. My monitor displays 2K (2540 x 1440) resolution and then sized down for tumblr. I use Fraps to take/save screenshots in .PNG format. Photoshop: Match Color, Vibrance, Unsharp Mask, and Exposure if needed. I’m a PS noob compared to you. ;)

Your GTX 970 should play fine in 2K with this game. Nvidia GeForce Experience can be used to enable Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) which will allow you to raise the in-game resolution despite your monitors native resolution. Beyond 1080p, the UI starts to really shrink.

Thornton doesn’t look too bad! I’m still conflicted about whether to do something with his sideburns. I will probably end up changing those but again, I get used to how sims are ‘supposed’ to look to me and then I am reluctant to change anything.

I always start Sims 4 with the intention that I’m going to play it so hard, I’m gonna build a hood from scratch and watch it grow! Then, three hours in my sim stands in the filthy ruins of her life with a broken toilet and the cat shits on the floor and there’s fucking laundry everywhere, she’s constantly hungry and the idiot hipster dude (who you can bet your ass has the trait ‘evil’ once you have moved him in) who’s the only guy in her age group not wearing ridiculous outfits refuses to even flirt with her so she mopes for another sim day. (Don’t even get me started on the hot local woman she’s been trying to woo for LITERAL SEASONS.) Then her job happens and it takes all of her energy so when she comes home, all she has the time for is to eat cereal, do EVEN MORE laundry and not get laid since hipster dude comes over with the ANGRY mood.   And then I lose interest and go play an RPG.

I’ve been pretty lucky so far with bugs and stuff--despite pushing my game to its limit with the current, uh.... like 16 sims in my household... I haven’t even really encounter the Wild toddler walk thing.... yet....

So maybe it’s the weird bug I seem to have where Riesling STILL ROLLS WANTS FOR MORE BABIES.

Fairy lights sounds soothing.

I bought some regular mouth mason jar lids with fairy lights attached. They’re solar powered so I leave them in a window by day, and when they get sun they twinkle when it gets dark. So pretty! I also bought some battery powered ones so even when we get very little sun I can still have fairy lights. Then I have some regular electric string lights in my room, too. That’s how much I like fairy lights. They lift my spirits. :)

Yes I do! Although I probably should have explained that my bedroom is part living space, too. No kitchen (I have to go downstairs for that, hence at least having a coffee maker!), but except for that I have a TV, my PC, and bathroom in one part then the other side of a half wall is my bed/sleeping area. But all that is probably TMI. lol

Without a good share of sadness, it’s not a real story for me... But seriously, unpopulated Dragon Valley makes me quite melancholy. Especially as I played the world with its premades quite intensely when DV first came out.

I installed it yesterday and zoomed around for a bit. It was super interesting to see how the creators had tackled some problems I’m facing with my own world at the moment. I love how they even reproduced the ts2 town-layout feel!
