Ok rant time!

so I recently rewatched tmnt 2003 season 6 episode 25 “the day of awakening” and I just see SO many ways this could have gone wrong, for instance:

The turtle could have been turned into kanabos had Cody been literally 1 minute later

the earth could’ve had no sunlight forever

raph could’ve been killed when he made a snide remark to Shokanabo after he was thrown against a wall

Mikey, Leo, and Splinter could’ve not been able to fight off the infection and gotten morphed again

said turtles and rat could’ve been turned on the others

Viral could’ve noticed Donnie opening the blast shield, moved over there, and hacked HIM via touch

these are all the things I can think of off the top of my head that could’ve gone wrong, just while in battle, there are so many things that could’ve gone wrong there before hand too!

and don’t even get me STARTED on the trauma! Imagine this:

After finally recovering from the fact that his body was used for evil against his will because he ate a hotdog! Mikey finally is feeling confident in himself again, then this mission occurs… it doesn’t help that he’s already getting flashbacks and dysphoria the second the enter the moon base, but facing a hideous looking shokanabo with hundreds of people who are victims just like Mikey was, REALLY doesn’t help.

and of course afterwards he has to deal with the fact that once again shokanabo had rotted his slimy tentacles in Mikey’s mind and caused him nightmares AGAIN!

now imagine he wakes up with a small scream in the middle of the night and quickly shuts himself up. He doesn’t want to wake his brothers! His brothers shouldn’t have to worry about him! So Mikey muffles a sob into his hands and cries until he hear the door slide open quietly but doesn’t dare look at who’s there.

It’s his brothers, they heard the scream (much to Mikey’s dismay and relief) and they comfort him just like when they were kids!

Donnie's rubbing the youngest’s shell soothingly, Raph is tapping his leg to make sure Mikey knows he’s there… Leo is holding him and whispering assurances that everyone is okay, and shokanabo is no more… and eventually Mikey falls asleep with all his brothers beside him. Not entirely healed, but definitely grateful his brothers were there for him when Mikey needed them most.

sOOO i made an excuse to draw Sh’Okanabo from TMNT Fast Forward. And I gave him a RotTMNT make-over. i like the idea of him being in the series, because he kinda already looks like a yokai.  Hope you like em!  art by me shokanabo (C) 4kids

I can safely assume that Spider-Man Unlimited is more underrated than the TMNT 2003 cartoon series that raised me.

I cannot deny how enthralled I was to be experiencing Pokémon’s popularity in 1999 while Spider-Man Unlimited got overshadowed. Hell, I don’t think I ever knew that the cartoon existed in the media as Pokemon ceased my childhood disorientation. But I do feel sorry for the Unlimited Spidey show’s abrupt end now.
