Soaring Land Dormitory - 92nd Gen

A redrew I did from Shokugeki no Soma OC Week but also my last members of Soaring Land Dormitory !!

Day 3 - Friends / Noodles / Crossover

I picked this theme for them because I thought it would be fitting for them! They are close friends, trust me. They see each other as equal and they actually help each other a lot! Have my 92nd generation for this prompt!

Day 6: Shokugeki / Central / Ice

I had to draw Team Central from my ocs!! These 3 chose to pick the side of Central because they were convinced that it was the better side. Plus, why would they rebel against them? Also there’s a lot of angst for them in this arc so it’s really fun for the dorm.

Also the other three pictures shows some of the shokugeki battles of this arc between my ocs!! Everlyn, Kaoru and Masae are all part of team rebels!! To explain the mechanics of how this went, it’s like an elimination match!! If you lose, you’re eliminated and you have to have a shokugeki with the next person!!

I really had fun with this?? Especially the expressions?? [I mean the last picture especially jkgbdfg] I hope you like it!!

“I never really had the chance to sit down on the grass and look at the stars until recently. I’d always walk around in heels and place on my fake smile to satisfy everyone.”

“Well... I’d be lying if I said I didn’t know that, Miss Yuliya. I’ve always thought something was off with that smile of yours.”

“I’m glad you noticed that. I suppose you know you’e one of the reasons why my smile isn’t so fake anymore.”

“Mmm... W-What?”

“You’re the one who taught me how to have a real smile.”

“I-I was?”

I finally got to draw this ship!! I actually love this ship a lot and they’re one of the first ones I determined from my oc x oc ships!! I can’t believe this is the first completely finished drawing I did of them when I love them so much???

Also for a small backstory, Yuliya belongs to a rich family and Shizuya is from a middle-class one who serves under the Moroz family! So they’re technically childhood friends and Shizuya always had the biggest crush on her ever since they were kids!! She inspired him to become a better chef since he wanted her to actually feel pleased when she eats, while he inspired her to go out of her “bird cage”! 

I love them so much and I hope you like it!

Sung Yong-Chol

-Despite how confident he is, he thinks that all of his other dorm mates in his generation are better in cooking than him. He never admits this in front of them, but he does think that their dreams to become chefs is much stronger than he is. 

-He absolutely loves talking to new people and he’s actually an overall friendly person as long as you don’t do anything he dislikes. He would actually feel down to bond with someone he just met- and he’d even invite them to the dorm parties.

-Probably could kill you with his bare hands because he’s actually that strong. He trained ever since he was young because his parents gave him the thinking that he should be a stunt double- so he had to go through a lot to become strong. Still hates the fact that Christelle is stronger him but well she’s a queen so he’ll let her slide.

-Actually knows more than Korean Cuisine because of his interest in different cultures. He’s mostly interested in the Western kind of Cuisine because he thinks Asian Cuisine is way too common in his country so he wanted to try something new.

-It probably surprises a lot of people that he’s that tall and he’d happily carry someone around if they want him to. He’s still looking for someone who can carry him without breaking any sweat because he actually likes being carried and his height sometimes makes himself sad.

Shizuya Olmo

-The sunshine boy of the dorm and he’s usually the first person to go to when you’re sad. The happy demeanor he has makes people happy too- so it’s pretty contagious. Makes either the funniest or corniest jokes ever in the dorm and he just loves making people laugh in general.

-If you spot posters randomly in the dorm or even sometimes in school, Shizuya is probably the one to post it. This usually contains things such as special events or festivals. He’s really a party person, and he enjoys a big crowd as long as he knows them well!

-Very knowledgeable about the world because he studies about it by himself. He would often read books while he was still under Yuliya and because of this, he knows much more than someone would expect. He’s very interested in history in general and he always had a dream of travelling!

-There are several times when he stated that his life wouldn’t be the same without Yuliya- and it’s true. People always imply that means romantically [well it’s part of it...] but he actually really means it because his family literally serves under her family.

-Started to love arts and crafts because those are the simple things he could easily find. It started with simple drawings then later on he got interested in paper folding, miniature objects and he is even a puppeteer!

Also I’ll draw you more tomorrow because I actually feel pretty tired right now ; 7 ; But I swear I’ll make it up to you!!! And because of that, you’ll also be the next person for Fun Fact 101!!!!!!

♥  Parenting

People would probably not be surprised, but Kaoru is actually the best in parenting from all of the dorm members. He’s the sweetest person alive, and that would always be for everybody loves. What more if it’s his lover and kids? He never had the best family in the first place, so when he has one of his own- he wants them to feel a life that he didn’t have, and that’s a happy and complete family.

✗ Lying

Surprise Surprise, it’s actually Miray! She’s a very honest person, but if she needs to lie SHE WILL. It’s also really hard to catch her lying, because of her natural happy state and she would always make her usual self mix up with her lying one, so overall- it’s just really hard to tell if she’s lying because of how she usually is- but her lies are never really big ones.

✎ Drawing realism

Shizuya, definitely! He is the best artist in the group, but he just prefers a cure art style! However, he’s fully capable of drawing realism! It’s rare to see drawings of realism from him because he doesn’t do a lot, however if you request or commission him, he’d do it!! And it WILL look so GOOD! He’s just such a creative bean who loves drawing a lot!

♕ Poetry

On the other hand- if we’ve got the best artist- we have a best writer too! Hands down, it’s Christelle! She has a lot of stories and ideas in her head, and poems are a part of it too! She probably has published a book for poems, if not- she’s gonna have one eventually! She just loves writing a lot, and she always does in her free time if it wasn’t calligraphy or bonding with friends!

◌ Cleaning up

THE DAD FRIEND!! Henrique actually is the best in cleaning because he’s the only one that does hgfdghfdg Okay no, that’s a joke, all of them clean up!! They want to help their dad, the only TRUE responsible man inside the DORM. However, he does know how to clean the best because of the sole reason that he refuses to get drunk so he could clean up their mess afterwards. So he just continued to like get better in cleaning until he became Hell’s Kitchen: The Clean Version

✦ Public speaking

Okay, this actually goes to Masae! She’s been in Debate Club, she’s used to stating her opinion a lot, so that won’t be a problem to her if it’s solely just opinion with not too much emotional attachment to it because she’d show more bias. BUT she IS good in Public Speaking, and she could totally do it the best from the dorm! She might be nervous at first, but once she speaks? AMAZING!

“Every time they cook together, I get to realize why their pair title is “Wonderland’s Festival”... They really are an unexpected pair.”

I wanted to draw these two and use the concept of their titles!! 

Everlyn Shea has the title of that becauser they say that her cooking isn’t something you could taste everyday and that each dish she makes is filled with wonderful yet mysterious things!! She actually really liks the title and she’s surprised she got something like it!!

Shizuya Olmo is also known as “Merrymaker” and it’s because the taste of the food he makes makes a person feel some happiness, and that’s what he places in his cooking!! His enthusiastic energy also seems pretty festive when he cooks, and he enjoys that title a lot!!

I’ll probably do more of this, it was much too fun gkjdfbg

Day 3: Generation / Autumn Elections / Storms

I chose to draw my ocs inside the Jewel Generation!! So this means that they all belong to the 92nd generation!!

I’ll add some bonus information about Autumn Elections!

The first two were in Block A, and the last two were in Block B!! Even if they weren’t able to get into the top 8 for their assigned blocks, they still had it pretty good! Eventually, this part was the time where they were able to warm up to some other characters!! 

Also, the one with the highest score would be 82, and that would be Everlyn!! Everyone inside their dorm was proud of her and tried to cheer her up because she cried over how she could have done better!!

More rebel vs central stuff? Yes, even more!! It’s about Shizuya this time!! Listen, Shizuya is a softie no matter what and he deserves all the love. This is how his conversation with Sung went, and just so you know- yeah Shizuya does cry somwhere in this story

“Shizuya. Shizuya! SHIZUYA!” A young man yelled the name of the boy who was swiftly going up the stairs. “Goddamn it Shizuya, fucking answer me!” He finally caught up to him, the grip on his wrist tightened. “I just asked you one single question, and now you’re running away. What the fuck is going on?” If there was one thing that Sung hated, it would be ignored.

“It’s... hard to explain.” He was shaking, and he looked like he was in fear. “Please let me go now, Sung.” He winced a bit once his grip got tighter. “Ack! Stop that, that’s my dominant hand!”

“You didn’t answer my question.”

“I told you, it’s hard to explain-!”

“Not what the hell is going on. I’m talking about why you suddenly left Everlyn’s side.”

Shizuya grew pale, his eyes closed tight before he blurted out.

“I... I never left her side-!” He claimed and he pulled his hand away from Sung, worried that he may have damaged his hand. “I just chose to... follow myself for once... But it doesn’t mean I’m leaving her side, I’m completely with her-!”

“But you’re on the opposite side. You’re not making sense.” Sung replied and this caused Shizuya to try and look at him in the eyes. “Shizuya, look-” He finally tried out the less forceful way. “I...” He bit his lip, not knowing how to hold back his emotion. He wasn’t the best at this after all. “I don’t like seeing her like this, nor do I like seeing you suddenly let this all happen.”

“I don’t want to see her like this, but it’s best for me to be alone... I’ll go back to my usual  personality soon, you don’t need to worry.” His brown eyes were staring at his teal ones. Sung’s eyes were burning. He didn’t know if it were hatred or what, but he felt his stomach turn.

Talking back to someone like Sung who was much too direct and forceful is actually one of his fears.

If he were talking to Masae-senpai, Kaoru-senpai or even Everlyn as of the moment, he would probably be able to at least not feel nauseous.

He should be talking to the Rebels to explain, not Sung. He was a barely a part of this problem, and now he’s acting as if he chose a side. He was acting like he was a part of a side.

“Usual personality?” Sung snorted before he glared at Shizuya. “I don’t know. I thought you knew her most. If you went back to that personality of yours, would it be before or after someone gets thrown out of Totsuki?”

“No-! That won’t happen! I believe that this dorm is capable of following Central’s orders. No one is going to get thrown out.”

“You absolute dumbass!” Sung roared, causing him to flinch. “Why the fuck do you think there is a team called “Rebels” in this dorm?! Do you expect them to follow as if they’re slaves?!”

He’s right. Sung had a point. “I’m sorry.” The trembling voice of Shizuya said it all. It’s as if he’s been forced, it’s as if her was persuaded to go to the wrong part of the war.

“Sorry? All you can say is sorry? Shizuya, tell me the truth on how you feel and say it with fucking pride.”

Was he serious?

“Sung, I...”

“Don’t “Sung, I” me. Just tell me the truth. Just tell me why you decided to leave the person who you trusted most just for this stupid thing. Hell, you didn’t even be like the rest and chose to go with neutral.”

“...”

“Shizuya, say it.”

“I have my own personal reasons, so please-- At least treat me with respect. You’re acting as if I’m the devil, you’re treating me as if I’m the only bad one here- and hell-!” Shizuya finally snapped, and there were tears streaming down his face. “You seem to think I’m enjoying this! Do you know how close I am to Everlyn, who’s part of the rebels?! Do you know how close I am with Yuki who I believe is part of the rebels?! I’m not enjoying THIS!”

His voice was loud enough for the people downstairs to hear.

“That’s what I want to hear. I don’t want to see you trembling with YOUR own choice. You chose this path, didn’t you?”

Shizuya began wiping his tears away, but he was doing it rather aggressively. “I know I did. I fucking know that.” He was barely spoken to. However, he felt all his emotions stacking up in his heart and he felt extremely upset. He couldn’t hold back his tears or his words.

“You also stated you have your own personal reasons. So I’m assuming that you don’t want to tell me, correct?”

“Correct.”

“One last question.”

“... What?”

“Is this a selfish reason?”

Shizuya couldn’t exactly say what his decision was. Was it? He didn’t want to be expelled, and he’d rather follow what they have to say so he won’t get expelled. But he did this so Everlyn won’t be alone. She’s been constantly bullied and he’s always been there to help her... If he were gone, then...

“Please don’t say shit to me for this but, I honest do not know.” He finally replies and Sung seemed like he didn’t appreciate the response. Even if he did not appreciate it, he accepted it nonetheless. A loud sigh was heard before Sung went down the stairs.

“Fine then. I guess, good luck with whatever’s coming. Be sure not to blame anyone with what happens next.”

“... Alright.”

Shizuya was able to block out all the sounds besides the voice of Sung. “Lyn-lyn. Quit it. Hearing you cry makes me upset.”

Shizuya began crying again, his brain getting mixed up. Did he make the wrong decision? Was his reasoning for doing this wrong? Was he a horrible person for choosing this path? He didn’t know why he would think that, but he could tell... what Sung had to say made him feel as if he were the bad guy.

Dai: *posing while biting a rose* We're making babies tonight. Kaoru: *red faced but he's trying to calm down* Of course! I-I've always wanted to have a family with you. Henrique: *literally drops anything he's holding* Can you repeat that? Tatsuya: *slams hands on the table* MI YOU'RE A FUCKING 5 YEAR OLD.

Is any of the dorm mates jealous of the current Elite Ten?

Ohhh boy… Thank you for this question! BUT OHHH BOY

In reality there are a couple of people in the dorm who are very much jealous of the Elite Ten. The one thing is that they hold it a lot, and it’s not really obvious.

Someone who’s really unexpected would be Miray. She’s the most lowkey jealous though. She’s jealous that they have so much opportunities compared to her, but she does think they deserve it! That’s the main reason why she’s the most lowkey!

Shizuya is also one of them! This is mostly because they don’t near to fear about getting expelled usually because they’re the best of the school. This boy lives in constant worry, for himself or his friends. This is why he’s jealous because they don’t live in fear compared to other students like him. He gets his jealousy to die down when he enters second year, but it’s still lingering.

Well, not to be expected the most but the person who’s also jealous of them is actually Dai. He doesn’t really act on it, but he does try to match their level. He keeps it hidden and it only shows up during the Central Arc, but it never really shows again. He’s jealous that they’re so superior compared to the rest and with a snap of their finger, so much can happen. He wants to have the ability to change things, and sometimes the Elite Ten don’t place it in good use. It eventually dies down after he graduates, and the only people who know it are his dorm mates.

Then there’s Lina who’s also jealous only because they’re so well known and they probably don’t need to worry about their friends leaving soon because she thinks they can do something about those things because of how much power they have. It isn’t like… pure jealousy though. Like it goes up sometimes and sometimes there’s no jealousy at all. It shifts from time to time
