Haltmann works company working in Robotics.

Kirby 64. Shiver Star. Industrial wasteland covered in snow. Boss of that region? A robot.

A robot named HR-H.

Perhaps the company wasn’t always the Haltmann Works Company? Maybe it was once Haltmann Robotics? They’ve most likely been to Rock Star, we know that thanks to the crystal boss from 64 that Holo Defense API looks almost exactly like and is probably both in-universe and IRL based on. So perhaps the Haltmann Works Co was responsible for Shiver Star becoming too snowy and industrial to support life…? But that’s just a theory.

This the second of two artsy projects I've been working on recently! This one is of @blastymcsplody 's Kirby oc, Krash, deep within the factory of Shiver Star where he has made his home. The scene in this piece is set in the faaaar off future after both his friends have come and gone, leaving Krash, who lives the longest out of the three, on his own clinging to the memories of the past. He made little metal figures of his friends to remember them by, though he still misses them a lot :(. Now that I've got both of these pieces done, I am going to try and chill on big art projects for at least a month LOL.

The little figures he's holding are based on Krys/Mirra Knight (My oc) & Mori (@theonepeasant22 's oc)

Ya know, I was just thinking: this song popped up in my head when you posted the Adeline post about her visiting the new world. It just reminds me of that I don't know how but it just stuck a cord with me when I saw the post. A mix of nostalgia or what not

OHHH MY GOD!!! IT DOES!!!! EARTHBOUND MUSIC OMG

it's got that peaceful vibe that SHOULD make you feel comfy and calm, and yet, there's an element of nostalgia with the classic chiptune and off-beat high-hat, as well as a mildly unsettling tone that's definitely driven in by the bass line. it feels like it's telling an old story with a happy ending that's been lost to time.

PLUS it's earthbound! earth bound! bound for earth! like the humans that lived there were trying to recreate!

this is inspired by @/desultory-novice's storyline and comics (they are amazing! read them!), but i hc that humans originally lived on shiver star (it is earth straight up. c'mon.), but got knocked into the gamble galaxy due to dark matter, thus causing the nuclear winter.

scientists quickly researched ways to get off the dying planet, and found the new world. propaganda was spread to the public to help populate this new world, making it seem like paradise. a "new earth." this is why the levels in FL definitely seem earthlike, but somehow different.

however, only the rich and elite were able to afford the trip, while the rest of the humans stayed on shiver star, slowly freezing to death while the new world inhabitants dumped their failed lab discovera experiments on earth (explaining the weird specimen in the shiver star levels). who knows where the shiver star humans went, if they survived at all, but the ones that made it out alive entered a land of dreams.

Honestly I headcanon that Shiver Star from Kirby 64 is Earth, but still populated and going through another ice-age.

The setup for HR-E/H's boss-fight is, like, a military commander looking at Kirby running around New York or whatever the city in the background is, and being so confused and terrified that they send the Kirbiverse equivalent of a Metal Gear to obliterate the fella (the fact that Dark Matter is also doing its own alien invasion isn't helping).

I like to think that because Earth exists in the kirby universe its seen as an ancient planet that once thrived and has fallen because humans went extinct but because they evolved to travel and colonize other planet's it caused this massive universal society where every planet and every civilization can communicate and travel between one another and ultimately influenced the war between the GSA and Nightmare and the studies used from Earth helped advance either side with what support they needed.

And because a universal civilization was started by these aliens from one planet, that took everything for themselves if they could, they were seen as "special" because of how they dominated and absolutely detroyed everthing without any physical abilities, only technology, and other civilizations would study them and use what they learned from them to advance their own technologies. They also considered Earth to be a special planet because of what was created there and it was debated if the artifacts created by humans should be kept there or taken to be studied even though humans have intended for their artifacts to be studied because we have shown we want to be remembered and so other aliens would travel to Earth to look at the material things created there, not just money or vehicles or art, but also the media humans created.

Media such as films, music, photographs, social media platforms, video games, etc, etc,. And Nightmare was someone who went to Earth often to look at the artifacts because he was really impressed that these little bags of meat that could easily be killed were able to have so much power from using only their brains. He wanted to study the media these aliens created so he would take films he saw interest in back to his base to watch and find out what humans made to give themselves entertainment from their bloodthirsty for colonization minds and you'd find him sitting in his TV room watching Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
