Studying social work means that i will never have any faith in a mental health provider ever again. Ive seen the type of people they give these degrees, the standards arent existent
#there are people in my classes that i dont think should be allowed in the general public#let alone have a job in working with vulnerable people#ive had classmates WHO ARE STUDYING SOCIAL WORK#AKA THE 'PEOPLE ARE PRODUCTS OF THEIR ENVIROMENT AND DONT JUDGE PEOPLE FOR WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO SURVIVE' FIELD#say that homeless people dont deserve fresh food (thats being donated to homeless shelters)#ive had classmates say that it shouldnt be up to the food banks to supply people with milk and that people need to buy their own#someone told my friend (who has cp and that affects her speech) that she needs to talk faster so she doesnt ruin a group project grade#(there was a time limit)#same friends mom works in the tutoring center and she was going to her moms office#and one of our classmates asked her if her disability made her stupid and if thats why shes going to tutoring#a different classmate said that my friend reminded her of her cousin with down syndrome#(which obviously isnt an insult but she meant it as one)#and thats just the mean stuff#one of my classmates faked a baby and pregnancy and stole another classmates (who was actually pregnant) ultrasound pics#shits wild#like bro what are you even doing here if you dont want homeless people to have fresh food#i feel like thats the bare minimum for social work#max thinks shes relevant
