My gardenia bloomed!!!! It smells the way a gardenia would, gorgeous and elegant. There’s a slight creaminess to it.

Spaghetti Basilico is a friend of the poor. Boil the spaghetti with plenty of salted water, drain the water, spray it with olive oil, sprinkle it with dried basil, and voila! and it's ready to eat. It's delicious. I can eat as much as I want. I shouldn't have done anything else. Salt and olive oil. Just the taste of flour and olive. The basil flavor leaves a nice aftertaste. I don't need the “UMAMI” flavor (=Artificial seasoning UMAMI). Not basil, but SHISO leaves are also good. Shiso leaves might be tastier. Yeah we’ve got a headspace!! It’s like if Howl’s Moving Castle was also a spaceship. It’s junky and chaotic and ever changing, but it’s also super homey and comfortable!! I like it a lot
Yeah we’ve got varying tastes!! There’s too many of us to really go into detail so I’ll just give some notable examples. Indy loves strawberry flavored candy but Char hates it, so whenever Char fronts after them hie always spits it out and tries to wash out the taste haha. I really like ohara shiso candy but Kakezu thinks it tastes like soap. Griffin and Walker like breakcore a lot but Bright dislikes it and always says it’s gonna give him a headache bc he’s an old man even though he’s in his 20s :P

-i have a soft beautiful floral, Une Fleur de Cassie. but it's not filling the need, so what is the need? (i think it may be prettiness, easy attractiveness)

Researchers in Japan have generated a high-quality genome assembly of Perilla frutescens, a plant most often found in Asia and commonly known in Japan as Aka-Shiso and in Great Britain and the U.S. as Beefsteak Plant for its dark magenta leaves. The high-quality genome assembly will allow scientists to harness the plant’s abundance of potentially useful bioactive chemicals, among which are perillaldehyde and rosmarinic acid. Some of P. frutescens’ bioactive chemicals are thought to have medicinal properties. Rosmarinic acid is already widely in use as a supplement, with claims including anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, antifungal, and antibacterial properties, to name a few. Perillaldehyde has shown similar potential for those uses, and there is some medical evidence to back those up, despite the market for phytochemical supplements still being mostly unregulated.

Translator's Notes: This was an incredibly difficult translation because of how vague the lyrics are, both in terms of lyrical content and linguistic structure. There are barely any pronouns in the verses other than the choruses, so my choice of pronouns in the translation could be entirely wrong, for all I know. And as to what these lyrics actually mean...who knows! I doubt Shiso-P is interested in explaining things...because this feels like a song that isn't meant to be explained. It's just a gorgeous song with brilliant instrumentation, fantastic vocals and some mysterious lyrics. And that’s enough for me!

Homemade oil soba noodles with maitake mushrooms and shiso leaves. Almost like a YouTube “ファビオ飯" peperoncino. The noodles were Chinese noodles made of medium-strength flour for Sanuki udon noodles, and I wanted to slurp them up, so I served them in a bowl and ate them with chopsticks.
