Does Ludovica's girlfriend has a name so far? Its hard imagining scenarios of them with one of them being unnamed, so I thought of using either Beatrice or Artemisa as a placeholder (which I think it would be a nice contrast to Machete's catholicism vibe, a name deviated from a "pagan" goddess, also LudoMisa is a cute shipname :)

Frequent viewers will know I have an unfortunate fascination with flagship DCOMs, and since they made another descendants, i watched another descendants.

The good:

Inspired choice to have the leads be basically a knight and a rogue with contrasting color schemes, neither of which gets a love interest - at long last we have queer baiting in a DCOM, I'm proud of you disney!

I did not expect them to have the courage to introduce an entirely new cast (cause this is Disney we're talking) but good on them for doing it, seeing as how stupidly large the main cast had gotten by descendants 3.

Descendants generally have good costuming, but this one really felt like it raised the bar.

The bad:

Even by DCOM standards that ending felt remarkably anti climactic. Like they get the Macguffin, go back to the present, then boom! Movie over.

Also I get the vibe that Disney has already ordered another trilogy, but having the final words of the story basically be: "yeah we messed with the timeline, but we'll deal with the consequences of that in the next movie" moves past sequel bait and straight into acknowledging plot holes in the story.

Who the fuck greenlit calling them "Chloe" and "Red"??? Is it meant to draw attention to them being from different worlds? Is it placeholder names? Are they just trying to make it difficult for people to come up with a shipname?

Flare winced at the nickname, Ray immediately going to comfort him. “Are you okay? Did you not like it?”

Ray frowned. “If it makes you upset, it can’t be stupid.”

Flare sighed, looking at his hands. “You know how… I’m scared of flowers?” he whispered tentatively, gazing into the other’s eyelights. “It’s got something to do with that.”

Ray’s mouth curved into a wide ‘O’, and he moved to hug the other, who accepted it gladly. “It’s okay,” Ray said after a moment, moving to look at the other. “You’re here now. You’re doing great.”
