Gonna be honest: the Leavanny line has some of the most atrocious Shinies I’ve ever seen.
And I love Leavanny! The whole line, in fact! But what were they thinking? Why didn’t they keep a consistent color palette for the Shiny forms like they do for the regular forms? Why is Shiny Sewaddle green but Shiny Leavanny is barely distinguishable from normal Leavanny? Why is Swadloon blue?
My cute hikkikomori leaf bug doesn’t deserve this disrespect. They did her so dirty.
#it somehow manages to do all the egregious mistakes of shinies in a single evolution line#sewaddle’s is *fine* I’d have been okay if they just kept it that palette#swadloon’s is bizarre why are its eyes red? why is it blue? why did the leaves change color?#and then Leavanny is like barely removed from the regular colors like ??? why???#you could’ve done so much with shiny Leavanny. brown leaves. autumn leaves. heck purple leaves!#(you ever see a purple tree before? the leaves are *dark* purplish red? that would look cool)

GTI!Espeon and Umbreon to go with the rest of the Paradise Gang
Espeon
Name: Sage
Pronouns: She/Her
Design Notes:
-Half shiny! Kinda meant to look like a bicolor cat.
-Wanted her to look a bit like an alien. 100% meant to echo those alien shiny Espeon posts
-Looks kinda mean and doesn't seeeeem too emotional, but she's just got RBF and also kinda struggles with her tone. She's the type to kinda bury emotions until they reach a boiling point. (Example being when she apologized to Swadloon and Leavanny- she seemed very stoic and annoyed, until she revealed what she did and just started ugly crying- dry heaving, snot, being unable to talk right through the sobs.)
-So chill but also kinda insane. She LOVES stretching what exactly she can do with entercards and magnagates. She will dip those things in weird substances if she'll get a new dungeon out of it.
-Her gem is cracked from her encounter with Toxicroak and Purugly in the Crags of Lament. It heals after the events of GTI, doesn't really affect her psychic abilities.
Story Notes:
-Sage came from a rich, upstanding family. She was her mother's golden child as an Eevee due to her half-shiny coat making her look very beautiful and special. Her mother had planned out her entire life, from her friendships with other rich families, to her eventual career as a business mon, to her evolution into a Sylveon.
-Despite the affection her mother showered her in, Sage didn't evolve. She felt insecure around her mother, but dared not to speak it. She was very passive, just agreeing with what her mother would say or do, doing what she was told. She actually really wanted to be an Espeon and have psychic abilities. She didn't want to be a Sylveon, but accepted that it was what she had to do- besides, the one time she suggested it, her mother sobbed at how hideous she'd look with a purple and green coat, so she dropped the topic.
-She secretly had a deep passion for mystery dungeons. She wasn't allowed to go through them, but she was deeply curious about how they were formed, how the Pokemon inside them acted, what caused the Wind. And she wanted to know how to create them as well, manipulate them to her whims. But she had no way to satisfy these curiosities besides some incomplete research books she'd snuck in.
-Until one night when an Umbreon snuck in to their home to steal their valuables, and Sage caught him. The Umbreon- Hawthorne- was rather disheveled, and despite his frightening appearance, Sage didn't feel afraid of him... she just saw his clumsiness as endearing and struck up a conversation with him, her family's gems still in his paws.
-She learned that Hawthorne also had a passion for mystery dungeons. He was an explorer, a thief, and a fighter, but he didn't care about that- he just wanted to know what made a dungeon tick. But like Sage, he was discouraged from it.
-Sage saw an opportunity for them to get what they wanted- there was a dungeon forming in the west that was off limits. She proposed that Hawthorne go off script and take her to the dungeon, leaving a ransom note as if he kidnapped her. He was hesitant, but agreed, and the two ran off and hid inside the dungeon to analyze it. The two made a ton of discoveries about the existence of Ley Lines, how Pokemon were created in dungeons, and most importantly... the existence of Magnagates.
-Even after her mother paid the ransom and Hawthorne took her back, Sage wasn't satisfied. She wanted to learn how to create Magnagates. So she ran away with Hawthorne properly, and they began their research. She evolved into an Espeon that dawn.
-Has a bad relationship with her mother these days, who rarely talks to her if only to scold her, but Sage isn't exactly reaching out either.
-Is married to Hawthorne shortly before the events of GTI. She adores him and finds him very endearing, and doesn't really know how he survived as a criminal.
-Very close to Aramis since they both struggle with expressing their emotions. They get each other.
-Is always suggesting crazy stuff
Umbreon
Name: Hawthorne
Pronouns: He/Him
Design Notes:
-He's half Mightyena so he's got a mane and patches of fur here and there. He looks sort of intimidating at a distance, which is why Post Town assumed the worst with him, but he's a total dork.
-Definitely keeps a poison sweat rag somewhere. Smelly.
-My girlfriend says he looks like a Season 1 Walter White and Jesse Pinkman combined and that he'd roll shitty blunts like Walter did in that one scene, and also that he would seem like he's gonna have sex with his GF only to cut to them playing Sonic together, and I haven't seen Breaking Bad yet but y'know what, I'm rolling with it.
-Adoooores Sage. He would do anything for her.
Story Notes:
-Hawthorne was born to a crime family and his father expected him to follow in his foot steps. And at first, he had full intentions of it. He evolved early as a child just to help out more and follow in his father's shadow. He cared deeply for his family and was happy just to be with them.
-But as he grew up, he felt out of place. He didn't share his family's ferocity and wit, and over time, he yearned for something else- dungeon researching. He was fascinated with how they worked and he wanted to make an honest living studying them. He began to fall behind in his crime work just trying to focus on the research he could do, creating distance between him and his family.
-In an attempt to get him back on track, his father sent him to Sage's home to steal their jewels- a rather high risk crime. Hawthorne agreed, not wanting to keep disappointing his family.
-As stated above, he met Sage there and eventually decided to run away with her. He had to cut off his family because they kept trying to drag him back into their lifestyle. He feels guilty for what he did there, and for leaving his family, but it was he had to do in the end. He still misses them to an extent though.
-Didn't quite lose all those skills he had though. He was able to fight off Purugly and Toxicroak well enough, and it helped when he and Sage broke Keldeo out of his cell.
#story stuff isnt as set in stone bc i came up with most of it last night lol#didnt mention it here but i imagine they are t4t#sorry for less info on hawthorne but i think i explained most of it in sage's section so hers is just longer sjlkdfjksldfjkldsf#pkmn#pmd#pmd gti#pmd gates to infinity#pokemon mystery dungeon#canon characters#starfall#umbreon#espeon#sage#hawthorne

And that's Community Day complete! I already had one shiny Sewaddle from Scarlet, but still encountered another one on my walk back.
Imo, it's kinda a mid shiny tho not as bad as Garchomp or Gengar, I feel like the others in its line have more unique colors with the teal-ish leaves on Sewaddle and body for Swadloon and bright green of Sewaddle's body, and shiny Leavanny looks a bit more wilty than regular Leavanny. (The teal leaves are just too pretty, I guess.)

Because it's been rolling around in my head for a while thanks to the Indigo Disk DLC release...
Bells Hells Pokémon Teams!
These are all vibe based, limited to the six Pokémon teams, and everyone gets at least one Legendary and Shiny. Some will be evolutionary lines because I could see them coming into the campaign unevolved.
Chetney
Stoutland- received as a Lillipup when Chet was a kid, this majestic old dog is his oldest companion. I think Stoutland speaks nicely to Chetney having a pretty normal life before he became a werewolf. Aslo, Chet can ride his Stoutland around, which is fun
Phantump- met as Chet trained in the Bramblewood, this spirit of a child in a tree stump/wood fell in love with Chetney's toy carving. Chet loves the joy this Pokémon feels with every project
Snover/Abamasnow- this tree Pokémon was caught during the Icelost years that Chet was present for in Tal'Dorei
Banette- Chetney is worried about his toycraft becoming obsolete, and this Pokémon is an abandoned toy. Also Chet talked about letting his grudges stew before werewolfdom
Lycanroc (Midnight Form, Shiny)- it's a Pokémon with something like the classical wolfman-werewolf shape, so werewolf vibes, baby! Caught after Chet got lycanthropy, shiny because it matches Chet's original color scheme
Zacian- look, it's a wolf that's set to shank a bitch. Tell me that doesn't vibe with Chetney
Orym
Sirfetch'd- Flying-type with a sword and shield, obviously meant for Mr Sword and Shield of the Air Ashari
Honedge/Doublade/Aegislash- Orym's memento of his husband that always travels with him is Will's sword, so the ghost sword(and later sword/shield combo) makes sense for Oym
Comfey- friendly cute flowers for Mr Druidcraft gifts
Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot- the normal-est bird for the normal-est guy. Yet capable and more striking the further down the line they get
Appletun (Shiny)- got it in Byroden as a reminder to enjoy life and pie. Also, little guy solidarity. Shiny because green apple for Orym who wears green
Shaymin- more friendly flowers for Orym, and the Sky Form is a little fighter like him
Fearne
Darumaka- Fearne needs a fire monkey to mirror Little Mister and this is the round fire monkey shaped like the Little Mister plush
Braixen/Delphox- fire Pokémon with a bit of a witch aesthetic for the fire girl of the Witchy Bitches
Impidimp- a Fairy-type with a mischievous streak for our mischievous fey
Skiddo/Gogoat- for the goat-ness of being a faun and a little druidic Grass-type
Gloom/Vileplume (Shiny)- for Fearne's love of poisonous flowers. And shiny because it's green and orange, which are Fearne's colors
Moltres- a burning phoenix Pokémon that Fearne worries will take on the Galarian Form that her Bad Future Self had
Imogen
Mudsdale- workhorse for the farmgirl who loves horses
Ponyta (Galarian)- cute unicorn pony with Psychic typing (not Galarian Rapidash because I think it's ugly)
Blitzle/Zebstrika (Shiny)- the Electric-type "horse" (zebras are close, okay?) Pokémon for our storming electrical Horse Girl. And shiny because Zebstrika is purple when shiny
Hattrem/Hatterene- Imogen's witch Pokémon. It's Psychic-type and sensitive to emotions, making it sort of like her mindreading
Elgyem/Beheeyem- Psychic-type and kind of alien-ish and said to mess with people's heads, this Pokémon showed up to Imogen after her Exaltant powers awakened
Spectrier- Legendary horse that comes in Imogen's two colors: purple and red
Laudna
Rattata (Alolan)- to mirror Pâté. Potentially shiny as the deep red and black are Laudna's colors
Mimikyu (Shiny)- a broken doll-like Pokémon for a person who feels like a broken doll. And shiny makes it a pale black and white like Laudna
Mismagius- Laudna's witch Pokémon, and ghostly of course (Also collar gems like Delilah?)
Leavanny- a bit of a crafter Pokémon and protective of kids
Meowth (Galarian)- the Alolan Meowth and Kantonian Persian are the kind of Pokémon I could see noble ladies having, so Laudna decided to catch her own Meowth... and ended up with a scrungly Galarian one. But she loves them anyways
Marshadow- it's shadow theme matches Laudna's Shadow Sorcerery. And Laudna does spend time trying to copy the Ladies of Whitestone...
FCG
Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss- Pokémon that are about bestowing happiness, because that's all FCG wants for their friends. Possibly not enthused by Togekiss being so bird-like, while Togetic is definitely on the edge of comfortable
Happiny/Chansey/Blissey- classic Pokémon Center helper and healers line for the cleric
Porygon/Porygon 2/Porygon-Z- artificial Pokémon for the artificially made person. The bird-ish shape might weird FCG out a bit
Fidough/Dachsbund- obtained after they got their oven installed, this Pokémon helps FCG with his baking endeavors
Iron Thorns- secret Aeorian rage-mode Pokémon since Future Paradox Pokémon look like robots and Tyranitar, which Iron Thorns is based off of, is known for raging around (also reflects Ashton having a Tyranitar a bit)
Magearna- a man-made clockwork Legendary for the Aeormaton
Ashton
Golett/Golurk (Shiny)- a rock person Pokémon for an actual rock person. And they're also powered by mysterious energies. Probably Ashton's original Pokémon. Shiny for green glow lines
Tyranitar- acquired as a Larvitar in Bassuras and a point of pride to have fully evolved given the reputation of such a Pokémon in that city
Tinkaton- also caught in Bassuras as a Tinkatink. It's a Pokémon with a big hammer and the evolutionary line would probably be semi-common in the scrap heaps of Bassuras (Also the Corviknight hunting as a get rid of birds that FCG fears/hates)
Growlithe/Arcanine(Hisuian)- for Ashton's strong loyalties. Possibly acquired after attempting to absorb the Spark of Rau'shan for the Fire/Rock typing, or just had since a kid from Hishari
Cosmog- suddenly appeared after Ashton got galaxy-brained because it's a little galaxy guy from another (higher?) dimension. It's Ashton's innocent baby who doesn't know how to stay in the damn pokéball and not reveal his soft side
Regigigas- this is the big titan Pokémon, hauling continents and shit. Not to mention that the Slow Start ability reflects how Ashton had a titan shard for twenty years before they really got it to do anything spectacular
#if this gets enough interest I could be convinced to release more thoughts on other pokemon BH would have beyond team limits#MQ AU machine#bells hells pokemon au#bells hells#ashton greymoore#laudna#orym of the air ashari#fearne calloway#imogen temult#fcg#chetney pock o'pea

pokémon au xv: reimagined rambles
----
was thinking about some mons for everyone. wheezes...
noctis would definitely have pokémon given to him by the family breeders. a poochyena would be his starting pokémon companion, he'd also get a super special hisuian growlithe. he'd have had dreams about an alolan vulpix when he was younger and sick, and sometimes he still sees it.
ignis would have a milcery to help him cook, and when it turns into alcremie (caramel swirl), it becomes very eager to help make that childhood treat for noctis with gusto. ignis would also have an appletun, shuckle, and a fidough for sure. not necessarily his, though, swablu and altaria are attacted to ignis when he works because he feeds them, but they also want to help clean up because they like clean!!
gladio has a shieldon as a starter, as would be the amicitia way to train them into the mightiest bastiodon to help defend the crown! the family also has the machop family line as pokémon that the amicitias train against. gladio would also go out of his way to find an aron at some point to have an aggron.
prompto would start off with a rockruff -- a shiny one at that. didn't know how unique it was until he saw other rockruff that were...definitely not blue! it would evolve into a dusk form lycanroc later on! prompto would also befriend a corviknight that has been permanently crippled by a tinkaton, but despite its handicap, the corviknight has learned how to run fast, and still is happy to ferry prompto and at least one additional person on its back!
iris would have a cleffa at first as a kid. in her teen years, it evolves into a clefairy. she later would get a mareep, wooloo, leavanny, and smeargle that help her make new clothes and plushies!
cor would have a ceruledge and an armarouge. they're just as serious and seasoned fighters as he is, and they are trained extremely well. they certainly have seniority on a lot of the other nobles' pokémon, and would be a difficult double battle duo to beat. beating cor in a pokémon battle is a higher accomplishment for some of the nobles than beating gym leaders or the elite four!
lunafreya would have an alolan vulpix and a kantonian vulpix. her kantonian vulpix has cute little eyebrows on it, and they are very aware and very smart. they keep lunafreya safe, and will lead her to safety away from anything that might try to harm her. when they evolve into their respective ninetales forms, their mystique and prowess only grew, able to shroud lunafreya in mystery and greater protect her.
ravus started off with a dreepy, but now it's a rather formidable dragapult that looms threateningly alongside him. while it has no dreepy of its own and doesn't seem to care whether it does or not, this dragapult has helped with a number of operations that ravus has embarked upon. other pokémon that ravus has been seen with are some interesting ones that many people claim to never knew existed. pokémon like xurkitree.
stella is said to have disappeared for a time when she was younger. when she came back to the fenestala manor, she was accompanied by a mysical pokémon with a mane that seemed like a shield. this pokémon was discovered as zamazenta when the historians and scholars of tenebrae looked through their records and eventually found it. stella is said to have remained distant since then, idly roaming the lands with zamazenta at her side as if looking for something.
primam would have a snorunt at first! both of them being sensitive and shy, the snorunt was drawn to primam as a friend. it would later evolve into froslass! she would then come across a houndour at some point during one of her very first solo ventures through the city -- the houndour would lead her back to where she needed to be after getting lost. then it would stay with her. and then...primam would meet a pawmot and be immediately transfixed on how much this pokémon reminded her of her crush: "they have the same silly hair."
tandem would have a tandemaus because i think it would be fucking funny tinkatink. he wouldn't have liked it too much at first, but he warmed up to it when it seemed to be intent on learning how to do blacksmithing as well. once it's a tinkaton, prompto's corviknight would not like it. tandem also has a meinfoo that he trains with for martial arts, and it eventually evolves into meinshao and puts up more of a workout with its faster attacks.
mollis would have a deerling and a remoraid that do eventually evolve into sawsbuck and octillery. deerling is just something of a kindred spirit to mollie, and appreciates her as a person who has a love for nature and the beauty of the seasons. as a sawsbuck, it will happily offer mollis rides through the forests at the turn of the seasons. as for the octillery, it and mollis have shooting competitions to keep themselves sharp! in time, mollie also gets a braviary that ferries her up to high places where she likes being most of all since discovering it.
ros would inherit his mother's roserade, and it would mother him as it has watched over ros since infancy. his first real pokémon that is his is a flabébé that likes frequenting the estate's garden. it would be drawn to ros as he takes care of and nurtures the plants there. he would also have a ledyba who just so happens to enjoy the garden as well. plenty of grass- and bug-type pokémon come to visit, but only the flabébé and the ledyba really took to ros as their human partner. they do eventually become florges and ledian. eventually, the roserade would disappear, leaving ros with a budew egg.
aestus' only pokémon would be a zoroark, not that a lot of people even realize this. a lot of the time, the zoroark would take the form of one of aestus' younger siblings or one of the other nobles. they would appear silent, only nodding or shaking their head to answer any who may be addressing it.
vera would have an espeon! the espeon would be trained to be able to detect the slightest hint of danger, and with its psychic abilities, is also smart enough to communicate with vera telepathically in a language she can understand. it monitors the hallways in the citadel and at the home, and it has been known to cause quite the start in some people when all one can see of this espeon is its glowing gem and eyes down a dark hallway before it gets up and walks off.
lyra would have a noibat and toxel. the noibat would not evolve into noivern, instead feeling more useful to lyra as a smaller pokémon that can get into smaller areas and listen in on things that could be of interest. toxel is just something that lyra happened across, and it wouldn't stop following her or playing with her hair. it eventually evolves into a low key form toxtricity and shares in her love of music.
nebula has a zorua -- no telling on if it was a gift from aestus or not. she'll never tell, either. similar to how aestus' zoroark tends to take the form of others, nebula's zorua is a fan of mischief and takes the form of nebula! unlike the older, more seasoned zoroark, however, the nebula-zorua can't always remember to hide its tail, giving it away more times than not.

Just thought I'd do this because I'm bored af rn!
Thinking about the Pokémon Iris would have if we knew she extended her team in the anime, and here's what I came up with.
Pokémon we've seen in the anime and on her team:
Haxorus, Excadrill, Dragonite, Emolga, and Gible that she would evolve to Garchomp and obtain a Mega Stone for it.
Pokémon we've seen in the anime but not in her team:
Goodra, a Pokémon Iris probably caught not long after she became the Unova Champion. It was seen in her return episode along with Gible and a shot of Clair as well.
Pokémon she probably caught outside of screen time in the anime:
Hydreigon, because she tamed Shannon's Hydreigon in the episode where she, Ash, and Cilan visit the Village of Dragons, and seems to have connections to the Deino Evolution line. Druddigon, because Clair has one as well, except Iris's would be normal colors and not shiny (I also kind of hate the Shiny Druddigon's colors). And having both a Hydreigon and Druddigon as well as Haxorus means that Iris would have all three of the Psuedo Dragons of Unova.
Pokémon she should've caught in the anime:
Shiny Lapras, because both Lance and Clair have a shiny Pokémon added to their Dragon entourage, so why shouldn't Iris? She has a Lapras in the BElW 2 games, and it would help Iris conquer her fears of Ice Types. And later, she might go to Circhester and have Melony help Iris obtain Max Mushroons for Lapras to reach it's hidden Gigantamax powers. And the purple Lapras just looks plain cool.
Pokémon I PERSONALLY think Iris would have:
Leavanny, because Leavanny is normally an agile Pokémon, and it would help Iris learn how to use Ash's wild battle tactics. Archeops, because Iris has one in the BW2 games, and I think Iris having a revived Jurrasic Pokémon would be so cool! Dragalge, because this Kalos Pokémon would be a fun story for Iris. Dragalge's first form, Skrelp, is a Poison and Water type, so Iris would be against catching one, but Ash would probably convince Iris to catch one anyway. She would then do it, and when Skrelp evolves into Dragalge, Iris learns that when Skrelp evolves, it loses its Water type and turns it into a Dragon type, leaving Iris feeling very silly, and this would definitely be something Ash would tease for her.
Last category on this list. Since Ash and Iris are extremely close to each other, Ash would probably let Iris borrow some of his Pokémon. Here're a couple I KNOW she would ask Ash to borrow:
Snivy as fully evolved Serperior, because as a Snivy, Iris has battled with Ash's Grass Snake Pokémon before, and it is probably the one Pokémon in Ash's BW team that is the most connected to her Trainer's Dragon Master friend. If and when Snivy becomes a fully-evolved-and-fully-powered Serperior, it would most likely be one of Ash's strongest Pokémon ever, and Iris would love to battle with it! And surprisingly, Lucario as well, because Iris is most likely interested in Ash's Aura Pokémon after most likely watching Ash's entry battle against Raihan, and then watching his battle against Cynthia in the semifinals of the Masters 8 Tournament in the series. Lucario would also sense - with his Aura - that Ash trusts Iris and would be willing to share his Aura with her. And maybe at one point, Ash might even let Iris use Lucario's Mega Evolution powers as well! Who knows?
Well, that's all I got! Glad I could get this out of my brain and share it with you. If you have any other ideas, let me know!

okay hold on. ctommy WOULD have an insanely powerful pokemon team, in line with the symbolism of such in the pokemon world. he's a strong trainer because of his bond and care for his pokemon, and ofc battling for them is much akin to taking your dog for proper walks. he just ensures they're healed and ready to go without forcing them into battle. the kinda guy to have max friendship.
meanwhile cdream would have strong pokemon because he's pushed them past their limits, forced them to evolve. they would have extremely low friendship (one of them gotta have full power frustration)
anyways. may i propose cdream has a shiny eevee that he's trying to make an umbreon but it just won't evolve. ctommy has either a leavanny or a blissey (both require having good friendship to evolve)
Oh yeah, Tommy would be a force to be reckoned with in spite of his generally underwhelming team due to that. He just focuses on other areas- he's insane in contests, for one. He’s just not doing the league or anything, so without battling a ton of trainers daily his Pokemon lack much experience and aren’t fully evolved. He'd probably be able to become champion if he ever wanted to become a battler full time, but he prefers just chilling.
I think Dream would have an under levelled Hydreigon with frustration like Ghetsis. It’s a child abuser trait actually.
Tommy's Pokemon are mostly fairly easy to find, early route stuff, so if he had a friendship evo it would definitely not be a blissey considering how rare chansey usually are. Y’know what he would totally have? A Crobat.

Since you're in Unova, what is the most common pokemon you see come in? just curious <3
The most common Pokemon to be brought into the centers tends to be the starters. Y'know, Tepig, Snivy, Oshawott, their evolutions. After that lilipups and purrloins, then after that is Patrats and Pidoves. Y'know, those Pokemon people stumble into all over the place, you see the most of them because kids have them as their first or second Pokemon.
For a more unexpected one I see high numbers of, the Timburr line. They help out with construction and demolition, all sorts of hard manual labor, so a lot of working folk have 'em and bring 'em in regularly to make sure they aren't working themselves too hard- Pokemon from that line are damn stubborn and would sooner jump off a cliff than accept something being beyond their limit, so they end up overworking or injurying themselves biting off more than they can chew sometimes.
Oh, we also see way more Sewaddle and Leavanny than we do Swadloon. Once someone's sewaddle evolves, I suppose it often doesn't take very long for them to evolve into Leavanny, so you see Swadloon a lot less. I just thought that was a delightful thing, considering Swadloon needs to be very close to its trainer to evolve.
To end this off, a bonus story relating to the most common pokemon brought to the center: I remember one kid coming in with a Pidove while another trainer was here with one a Pidove of their own, talking to the nurse up front, and the kid marched up to the counter with her Pidove, looked between it and the other, and realized that they were Not the Same Color. Her's was Shiny. Seeing it dawn on the kids face was hilarious.

Pinned Post!
My original account is right here! This is a sideblog for roleplay. On that note: An introduction is due for my losers. The symbol signifies who I'm using in that current roleplay. More will be added as I start using them. Assume they're all Pokemon OCs unless it specifically says otherwise.
Jemma: A Hoennite contest star. She specializes in the Smart category and has a shiny Vileplume named Vinnie. Her symbol is 💚 (#JemmaBright) (ref)
Aiden: Having escaped from Orre, he lives on the streets of Unova with his gang. He mostly recruits ex-plasma members with nowhere to go, and runs an unofficial varied gym he called "The Traveling Gym". He offers people who beat him the "Journey Badge". Nobody knows where he gets them. But he has a stock. He is not willing to rattata out his supplier. His team consists of a (previously shadow) Purified Leavanny, Bisharp, and an Unfezant. His symbol is ⛓ (#OrreEscapee) (ref)
Cerizah: A first year at Naranja! She was born in Paldea but only recently moved back from Johto after her father got a new job. Prefers the red uniforms, is found in all the history classes she can get, and has a team of a Sprigatito and a Charcadet. Her symbol is 🍒 (#CherryProtag) (ref)
Vernon: A depot agent on the Double Line who struggles with making human connections. His team consists of a Politoed with Drizzle and a Dragonair who refuses to evolve. He breeds Dratini. His symbol is 🐸 (#DepoVernon) (ref)
Jaiden: Previously a gym trainer under Flannery, a terrible accident occurred leaving them burned and scarred on their face, chest, arms, and hands. They hide it best they can. Somehow, they're now found in Hisui with an unexplainable fear of fire and a trash-cloak Wormadam who aids them in medic duties for the Diamond Clan. Their symbol is ☀ (#MedicJaiden) (ref)
Neige: A young girl who started her journey by traveling the world. She collects Vulpixies and has one of each regional form, named Tui and La. Originally from Snowbelle City in Kalos. Her symbol is 🎀 (#NeigeTravelLog) (ref)
Sadie: Having moved to Galar as a young girl from Hoenn, her and her starter Poochyena adjusted to the Dark-Type lifestyle. She has recently moved to Spikemuth and become a gym trainer with her Mightyena, Pangoro, and Mandibuzz. On paper, she'd fit in well. But due to her outsider nature, she can't find a way to connect with the locals in any other way than battles. Her symbol is 🎧 (#MonoDarkDare) (ref)
Interaction, shipping (within reason), and roleplay are all open! Message me, interact with me IC or OOC, or send an ask with the respective symbol for the character to respond! Shipping names below in order of above list (may be updated, but all are possibilities that are open):

⧆ for any of them, go nuts bestie <3
Lets do them all
Naoko: His Chansey originally belonged to the hospital he stayed at his whole childhood growing attached to being around and taking care of him so that when he was let go, he was able to take her with him.
Raijin: He was abandoned and homeless on the street making friends with a thrown away Banette because they understood each other in that regard. Bannette is also the only one of his Pokemon who knows Raijins true personality
Kaori: wasn't around to have or own Pokemon with her father keeping them away from her...until a rotom broke in causing chaos making her laugh for the first time, which in return got her in trouble with her father and got her locked up for a day, in which the rotom kept her company and stayed with her.
Tsuyoshi: His whole team is for far more simple reasons. His meganium in particular was given due to meganium being able to revive plants which helps his gardening
Giichi: Keeping in line with his acting career, he was pressured to only have stereotypically beautiful Pokemon. He has had a feebas for the longest and was a gift from his mothers. he was reassured to release it by managers which he refused to do..however it ended up evolving into mitotic allowing him to keep her.
Yukino: ....I wanted to keep her team all ghost..but look I had to add Ursula. Her bunny is too important to her so thats why she has a buneary to represent that. I wish its shiny was black but ah well.
Ume: Ume used to be a lot closer to her pokemon before her sisters death. Her golbat in particular was close to evolving into a crobat due to their friendship, but once she became distant, it remained a golbat.
Takumi: Met his Zoroark as an abandoned Zorua in a dark alley when thieving a store when he was a child. While the Pokemon didnt trust him, after days of Takumi feeding it food he stole, he grew close to him becoming his Pokemon until he evolved. I just felt like good thieving buddies
Etsuko: A lover of cute Pokemon and a Pokemon gym leader or elite four member (haven't decided which) so her ice types reflect that. Got her alolan ninetails while abroad.
Akihito: While Akihito has a massive fear of ghost Pokemon, his mimikyu is an exception. Being a loner and really awkward made him a prime target for bullying, in which a mimikyu relating to him approached and while scared for the longest time, however after the mimikyu got him away from his teacher, he grew to trust and have it by his side.
Mizumi: naturally, Mizumi met all of her Pokemon on the ocean seas. Her Dhelmis in particular she met when it trapped her ship, rather than getting angry..which she was for a bit..she thought it was cool inviting it to the team. I couldn't not add the anchor Pokemon.
Rika: The sylveon she has is actually not her Pokemon. Its her siblings that gave him to here seeing how overworked and stress she was because of sylveons calming affects.
Shigure: ...Luvdisc is the love Pokemon..it's given as valentines gifts. Course he wants one and he doesnt battle anyway. Dotes on his Pokemon due to the point they are spoiled as hell.
Hayato: He always managed to like Pokemon who are protective, and finding two ralts as a child made him want to protect them seeing as when they evolved into Gallade and Gardevoir, it reminded him of himself and Giichi. Values their honor and protective natures.
Sumiko: all of her Pokemon have the same story being that they weren't Sumiko's. Rather, they were Oshias Pokemon before she died that Sumiko choose to care for even if she is inexperienced with raising Pokemon. Picked a lot of fun types.
Yamane: Her leavanny helps her with designing and sewing outfits..what else could a fashion designer want?
BONUS:
Habiki: Dog trainer? Fill his team up with dogs/dog based Pokemon! Only good with dog pokemon
Tsubasa: Whimsicott while cute is said to be a massive prankster like Tsubasa who always wanted one, but wasn't allowed to for the longest time. Since living with her uncle though..now she trained one to help her with pranks.
Rei: She has a slyveon and Wgglytuff for one reason, to keep her cute persona going as those are some of the cutest, yet threatening pokemon around. Though her true favorites are naturally poison type pokemon, but doesnt parade them around as they aren't 'cute'.

My first Kitakami shiny! (And not something I have in GO this time like Swablu and Hoppip! I always really liked the Sewaddle line, mostly outta nostalgia for a White 2 Nuzlocke I did a while back. I had my Leavanny OHKO Ghetsis's Hydreigon with a crit X-Scissor. His name was Musashi, and he was super reliable as a team member!)

What is yours and or Gene’s fav shinies? Curious since you shiny hunt
oh man that's a tough question -- I have so many boxes of shinies that I like (okay like. four total it's not that many compared to shiny dex hunters) it would be really hard to narrow it down 🤔🤔🤔
gene likes all shinies, but his favorites are definitely the ones that he's caught and used on his teams because he has a bond with them!! so like uhhhh the aron line, houndoom, furfrou, the popplio line, leavanny, cutiefly, lanturn, the kommo-o line, the eevee line, metagross, the cyndaquil line, sableye, snom line, rookidee, altaria, haunter, kricketot, staraptor, alakazam, buizel line.....
OH the poipole line!! I got that shiny for him after soft resetting over one 😳 (and then of course they released an event shiny poipole afterwards sjdfhkdsjf)
I think for gene the ultimate shiny is Wurmple though, since it was the first shiny he ever used -- and I think it’s in the top 10 for me too, since it was the first shiny I ever caught!!
thanks to marge the wurmple, she’s the best 💕💕💕

if the engines were Pokemon gym leaders, who battles with which type? who is easiest and hardest to beat?
To be more accessable for readers and me alike, no one is gonna have a full party, and the mons would be as if the player character is going through them in Number Order ^^;
This project assumes the plucky Protagonist is Thomas himself! Who is far harder to attach a suitable type to (Electric came to mind, but it seems a bit off for a Steam Engine...) so instead I’m going to say that Annie and Clarabel represent his starting Mons, and would stay in his party as he rotates the other 4 teammates. Hmmm.......
Annie and Clarabel: 2 (Hoenn) Linoone[...s], with Pickup. They also know most of the HM moves to help access the Sodor Region ;3
EDWARD
Water, a very versatile type, with wide coverage and only 2 weaknesses. Edward can be likened to the water in poetic ways; a still, sparkling lake or a fierce torrent... Something easy to overlook but downright essential to harmonious existence~
Wingull, Golduck, Vaporeon and Azumarill
Wingull basically being there as a whimsical mascot more than a serious threat, the othes being fast, decent hitters and hit-takers alike. Azumarill having the Fairy type and potentially Huge Power means that’s the Ace.
HENRY
Grass type because of course ¬w¬;;; Has some good attacking moves, but suffers 5! Weaknesses. Prolly leans on Status moves for an edge
Roselia, Exeggutor (Kanto ver), Tropius, Sawsbuck
Roselia with the Poison / Sleep / Paralys inflicting moves (albeit going down with a love tap), the Tree mons to do the hitting. All these guys are dual typed, which has its ups and downs~
GORDON
Steel type, very stong but falls like a sack of bricks in the relevant circumstances. Gotta ditch Gordon’s speed for this, but the traditional Fast Types just don’t have the right flavour.
Skarmory, Lairon (would be Aggron in rematches), Empoleon, Bisharp
Empoleon would prolly be his ace, the Regal looking Blue and kinda snobbish one is perfect. In an ideal world the Bisharp would also be Shiny, with the fab blue hue, hmmm...
JAMES
Fire. All out attack, easily countered with weakness or recoil from something like Flare Blitz. That being said, you gotta either outspeed or survive these hits to win, and if you get burned that stacks the odds back in his favour.
Rapidash, Flareon, Talonflame, Cinderace
Fast and physical, Flareon would have Flare Blitz [and swiftly get KOed], dunno how Cinderace is but I think it’s more Special based? So he does have a bit of a mix lol
PERCY
Thinking of a type for him was hard, but eventually it clicked; based on his colour, relative size, habit of being annoying and getting underestimated, it can only be BUG!
Beedrill, Pinsir, Heracross, Leavanny
A good mix of decent or better bugs, less status based than having one’a the moth or butterfly varieties. Yanmega was considered but the vibes are off somehow lol
TOBY
If you’re wondering what I’ll do with him cause I already used up the Wood allocation, may I direct your gaze to the Ground ....type? ;) Sturdy, immune to electric (indeed!), Toby’s sideplates mean you can’t see his wheels.... yeah, seems about right!
Dugtrio, Rhydon, Claydoll, Excadrill
Get ready for a lot of earthquakes. Ye of Electric typing, abandon all hope here! Though Ground has several weaknesses itself, it hits hard and half these dudes are faster than you may expect.
DUCK
This is harder, but I’m saying Flying type, befitting his preferred name and a line in All At Sea lol. But no, not just waterfowl types (I already allocated Golduck lmao)
Pidgeot, Swellow, Altaria, Staraptor
In case you’re wondering why there’s 3 regional birds, 2 of those there are very good in battle! Guts on Swellow and Close Combat on Staraptor ain’t to be sneased at. Altaria is here more for Bird than Flying, I think of it more in the context of it’s Dragon type, so I guess that’d be his ace.
DIESEL
In the suspicious event Duck isn’t a Gym Leader, this guy takes his place. Poison type because those fumes and gossip can’t be anything else lmao
Vileplume, Weezing, Gengar, Crobat
All of these would have a move that inflicts poison, so if you bring a Steel or Poison type of your own [or otherwise Immune mon] then a lot of his strategy will fall apart.
EDIT: Also!! Psychic types are strong against Poison, which could be likened to seeing through the haze of deception, woooo!
DONALD & DOUGLAS
Would be an Ice Type Double Battle! This also means they only get 2 mons each, but if they team up, they’d be quite formidable.
Sandslash (Alola ver), Glalie, Walrein, Mamoswine
Ice is a bad defensive type, but good offensively. But, bad defensively! Still, being Frozen does make you a sitting duck [dohohoho. No Dilly analogue to be found here, though], so it seems fair enough for the final gym challenge.
So, that’s what I’ve got for the main Sodor so-and-sos!
Presumably FC would end up as the Champion lmao
#Uhhhh how should I tag this crossovering? lol#It surely can't be the strangest combo!#hen the Engines have such rich personalities it makes things like this much easier and more fun ;3#so rip to cardboard characters like Bear or whatever lmao#Sodor Pokémon Teams
