Shiny fixes for "K" names part 2

Kricketot and Kricketune I colored black like tuxedos

Krabby and Kingler I colored purple, which I heard purple is a color for royalty, and Kingler has king in its name

Also Kabuto and Kabutops I colored purple like shiny Omanyte and Omastar

I now have every Kanto fossil! Most were pretty fast, but kabuto took 1,997 eggs and kabutops took 2,313. 😅 Still, they make a good set all together like this!

fun fact my first encounter with Kabuto was a very early version of Pixelmon (think 2013 early) so for a while I just thought it was a brown rectangle. Same with Swinub actually, I thought it was just a suitcase for the longest time. This has nothing to do with this shiny btw just felt like sharing.

Hi! I don’t have all the characters’ species figured out yet, but here’s some of the major ones!

Cloud is a Jolteon, and the current owner of the Buster Looplet

Barret is a Blastoise, although with the design detail that one of his paws is replaced by a prosthetic Mega Blastoise claw with an arm cannon

Tifa is a Lucario! When it comes to using aura, she dislikes prying too much into other Pokémon’s emotions. As such, she mainly only uses it during combat to gauge her opponents’ next moves. For some odd reason, she has trouble reading Cloud’s aura.

Aerith is a Bayleef, with her White Emera, this AU’s version of the White Materia, kept safely tucked in the pink ribbon she wears around her head leaf.

Nanaki is an Entei

Yuffie is a Treecko

Vincent is a Zoroark, who due to events in his past is sometimes able to become one with the illusions Zoroark are able to conjure.

Cid is a Fearow, and currently works as a transporter

Cait Sith is a Decoy Doll controlled psychically by Reeve! The Moogle Doll in the AU is a Kangaskhan Rock able to move due to Reeve’s abilities

Reeve is a shiny Reuniclus

Zack is a Luxio

Marlene is a shiny Flabebe currently without a flower, as flowers are rare in Midgar

Claudia is a Flareon

Jessie is a Raichu

Biggs is a Fraxure

Wedge is a Shieldon

Hojo is a Banette

Sephiroth is a shiny Gallade

Lucrecia is a Gardevoir

Jenova is a Missingno, with various forms such as Ghost, Aerodactyl skeleton, and Kabutops skeleton

Oh boy (pulls out my Pokémon au sheet)

Green has Leavanny, Togekiss, Breloom, and an Absol that can mega evolve (Megas are the coolest gimmick yet I refuse to let them die. Fingers crossed ZA actually does something with it)

Blue has Primarina, Milotic, Gyrados, and Cinccino.

Red has Ninetails, Alolan Ninetails, Ludicolo, and Slurpuff

Vio has Serperior, Goodra, Frosmoth, and Kabutops

Shadow has Banette, Mimikyu, Swoobat, and a Shiny Hisuian Zorua

I tried to give each of them a diverse spread of generations and team members, but completely avoided any eeveelutions or picks for them I'd seen a ton of. I wanted this to make sense while also being unique :3

Some standout ones that I was insistent on keeping with them while putting together the teams was: Green with Leavanny, given it's a friendship evolution and known for taking care of the pokemon in its care, or people, in Green's case.

Blue with Milotic, since I thought it'd be funny if Blue got this gross looking feebas, gave it a chance anyways, it it became the strongest member of her team.

Red with the Ninetails. The fire and ice rod comparisons were too strong.

Vio and Serperior. I may be a bit biased, since Snivy was my first starter, but I'm also a huge smug Vio truther, and the personalities fit so well.

Shadow with Mimikyu and Banette. Cmon. The comparisons are right there. Vengeful discarded doll and pokemon trying to pull on the popularity of a more beloved pokemon. They were made to be on Shadow's team.

I didn't wanna give everyone full teams of 6 since Link would have at least one of each of the Colors pokemon, though I don't know which ones yet. I wanted room to build the teams up from the original four mons :3

I never finalized Zelda's list before I got pulled away, but my picks would be, looking back- Tsareena, Florges, Lapras, and Delcatty.

I like to think of her Florges as being a variant unique to Hyrule with Silent Princess flowers :3

oh to be a little green fossilized kabuto brought back to life by the weird doctor on cinnabar island!!!!

kabutops is my fav fossil pokemon and honestly one of my fav pokemon in general, so this hunt was a guarentee the very moment i decided to take this badge quest on in leafgreen. ALSO! this line is part of the absolutely iconic group of Bright Green Shinies, which is a group that i REALLY adore!!! despite all of the dialogue involved in picking fossils back up, these soft resets were pretty chill. (a small price to pay for a whole resurrection.)

with that said, this kabuto was my 8738th kabuto resurrected! i was super shocked to see that my shiny one ended up being a girl! sleepytime, my shiny snorlax, is also a girl - and both species of pkmn only have a 12.5% chance of being female!!! i named her veldea, after a character who will eventually be featured in my original story. :3

veldea is also my 8th shiny pokemon for this challenge... which means that i am officially done with my leafgreen badge quest! i still need to actually take on the league with my full team, so i'll be making another post once that's handled - and i'll include my general thoughts on the challenge in that post, too. but i hope you guys have enjoyed my updates about each of the shiny hunts! even if the challenge is complete, i definitely want to keep on taking on hunts in this file of leafgreen. it's awakened a true passion for gen3 shiny hunting in me, so i'll be taking on lots more shiny hunts in kanto even if they don't fall within the context of a challenge! :D

He definitely gave them all names

Shinsous:

A Phantump, a Haxorus, a Hydreigon, a Centiskorch, a Noivern and a Gothitelle

Despite his team being the only one in order, Phantump still haven't evolved yet

Nikos:

A shiny Thievul, a Mandibuzz, a Chandalure, a Lucario, a Marshadow and a Kommo-o

He had no idea that Thievul was shiny until it was pointed out to him

Denkis:

A Boltund, a Galvantula, a Jolteon, a Pikachu, a Manectric and a Amped Toxtricity

He hates fighting against Kirishimas team

Bakugos:

A Arcanine, a Coalossal, a Turtonator, a Charizard, a Tyrantrum and a Galarian Moltres

I might replace the Coalossal with a Typholsion

Todorokis:

A Froslass, a Glaceon, a Lapras, a Avalugg, a Alolan Sandslash and a Alolan Ninetails

I might replace either the Sandslash or the Lapras with a regular Ninetails

Urarakas:

A Hatterene, a Clefable, a Togekiss, a Galarian Rapidash, a Ribombee and a Altaria

She keeps getting underestimated due her team being mainly Fairy type

Iidas:

A Corviknight, a Aggron, a Klinklang, a Bronzong, a Steelix and a Shield Aegislash

I gave him mostly steel type cuz I didn't know what to due with the speed part

Kirishimas:

A Midday Lycanroc, a Kabutops, a Machamp, a Tyranitar, a Drednaw and a Rhydon

Hes the bane of Denki and Todorokis existence

Tsuyus:

A Quagsire, a Shiny Seismitoad, a Toxicroak, a Poliwrath, a Politoed and a Golduck
