Would You Offer Your Throat to the Wolf? - Hunter/Prey AU. CM Punk/Drew McIntyre. Literally the second Punkintyre fic on AO3 and my first full foray into Dead Dove horror. It is entirely to blame for my writing taking a drastic turn into the unhinged and I'm still not sure if that's a good thing or not. 😅

The Chain - Soulmate AU. CM Punk/Drew McIntyre. I'm still really proud of this twisted little ficlet. So far, it's the only time I've written in first person POV.

Stray - Stray AU. CM Punk/Drew McIntyre. Part fluff, part angst, it tells the story of two broken souls helping to mend one another. And Drew in a muzzle.

Losers pray for things to happen; winners make things happen! - Winner's Room AU. CM Punk/Drew McIntyre. A silly ficlet I wrote after Clash at the Castle that inadvertently launched a whole entire au, in which Gunther has a pet play kink. One of my most successful fics. More will follow, I assure you!

Thlayli's Trick or Treat Ficlets - Various. A collection of request ficlets I did for my Trick or Treat event in October. I had so much fun working with all of your requests and got to flex my writing abilities a bit. However, it did spawn the Alien Breeding fic so there's that...

A Sinner at Heart - Valetverse AU. LA Knight/Nick Aldis. A huge thank you to Dani @stripeydani for prompting this pairing. They're so much fun to write and I plan to add more to this fic next year! (They're so fucking!)

Out of the Ashes - Post-Apocalyptic AU. CM Punk/AJ Lee, various. Finally got the sequel to Scorched Earth back up and running after a long slump.

'Acknowledge Me' - Winner's Room AU, LA Knight/Roman Reigns. Technically the first winner's room fic I wrote but it got stuck in WIP hell until last month. Nasty little piece where neither man comes off better.

My Favourite Fic - Oooooh! That's tricky. It's a close-call between Red Moon, the hunter/prey au and Stray but if I had to choose, it would be Stray. Mainly because it all started off as an interesting concept that popped into my head one morning and evolved with each chapter into a beautiful character study of love and loss. I especially enjoyed writing Divorced!JoePunk and capturing their complicated feelings towards one another.

My Most Written Pairing - Isn't it obvious? It's been the year of Punkintyre. They infested my brain and consumed me entirely (they're both lingering in there still, I just need to get over the holiday season for some time to write/draw)

My Most Used Tags - 'Rape/Non-Con Elements' - I mean, I'm bad enough with this tag anyway but Punkintyre made it all so much worse! 'Anal Sex' - they're all fucking each other (when they're not murdering one another in the woods of course!). 'Past Abuse' - one must have past trauma in order for a tattooed man to heal them, right?

What I learned - That all my readers are freaks (in the most affectionate way possible!) But seriously, this was a revelation - after the Hunter/Prey AU, I allowed myself to write darker, more explicit fics and it has been weirdly liberating. Like writing all the darkness out of me and embracing it in a safe way.

Consuming || Becky Lynch x Seth Rollins

Summary: The feud between Seth and Shinsuke is taking a real toll on him. Becky is really worried.

The intense rivalry between Seth and Shinsuke Nakamura had reached a boiling point, leaving both competitors battered and bruised in its wake. For Seth, the relentless pursuit by Nakamura was taking its toll, both mentally and physically, and Becky could see it clearly.

As they walked through the door of their hotel room, Becky's heart sank at the sight of him. His normally confident demeanor was replaced by a weary expression, and the shadows under his eyes spoke volumes about the toll the feud was taking on him.

"Seth," Becky said softly, moving to wrap her arms around him in a comforting embrace. "I'm so worried about you. You look exhausted."

Seth sighed heavily, leaning into her embrace as he buried his face in her shoulder. "I'm exhausted, Becks. This feud with Nakamura...it's like he's everywhere I turn. I can't escape him."

Becky gently guided him to the couch, sitting beside him as she listened to him pour out his frustrations. She could see the desperation in his eyes, the weight of the constant battles wearing him down.

"I don't know how much more of this I can take," Seth admitted, his voice heavy with defeat. "It's not just the physical toll—it's the mental strain too. I can't sleep, I can't focus...it's like he's consuming every part of me."

Becky reached out to take his hand, her touch a soothing balm against the storm raging within him. "You don't have to face this alone, Seth. We'll get through this together."

For the next few hours, they talked and strategized, Becky offering words of encouragement and support as they navigated the treacherous waters of Seth's feud with Nakamura. With each passing moment, Seth felt a weight lift from his shoulders, the burden of his worries shared with the woman he loved.

As the night wore on, Becky could see the tension easing from Seth's frame, his exhaustion finally catching up with him. With a gentle smile, she guided him to the bed, tucking him in with a tender kiss on the forehead.

"I'll be right here if you need me," she whispered, her voice a soothing melody in the darkness.

And as Seth drifted off to sleep, enveloped in the warmth and safety of Becky's embrace, he knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, he would face them with her by his side. For in her arms, he found solace and strength, a beacon of light in the darkest of nights.

Wrestling Love Letters

The Ring General: Reigning after Roman.

Gunther's journey as the Intercontinental Champion is now etched in the history books, securing him the esteemed title of 'longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time.' Yet, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, paving the way for even greater achievements. But how do you book the end of such an epic run without harming the dominance and significance of this championship reign? Gunther has ran through the majority of the superstars the WWE roster has to offer, so let’s explore a path for Gunther to ascend to the pinnacle of the wrestling world, cementing his legacy as a world title holder.

With a reign nearing 500 days (at the time of writing), Gunther undeniably deserves a shot at the top title. His longevity as Intercontinental Champion gives him a claim superior to many on the roster. In a previous blog post, I explored why I’m backing Shinsuke Nakamura to take the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins but, as a future feud, Gunther doesn’t seem the right fit here. Shinsuke would be a fresh champion with his own reign to cement and whilst I love a villain vs villain clash, this one doesn’t seem fitting.

Doesn’t Roman Reigns vs Gunther for the WWE Universal Championship at Wrestlemania XL (2024) sound appropriate for the longest reigning IC champion of all time? Champion vs Champion? Tribal Chief vs Ring General? Now that’s a Wrestlemania main event.

With Roman currently taking a break, WWE has some time to manipulate the moving parts in this potential matchup. Maybe they could continue to add fuel to the fire of the Giovanni Vinci storyline and identify Vinci as a pivotal figure in Gunther's journey moving forward. The Triple H era has seen the re-emergence of faction-based storytelling but, recently, every faction seems to be experiencing turbulence. Imperium should be portrayed as an impenetrable fortress, a united force that remains dominant and cohesive. Amidst the descent in the other factions on television, Imperium should stand tall, keeping their internal conflicts off-screen and projecting an aura of strength. At Wrestlemania, Vinci could have the opportunity to prove his loyalty to Gunther and Imperium and play a crucial role in Gunther emerging victorious, further solidifying their alliance. Perhaps intercepting a Solo Sikoa run in? Or perhaps putting himself in the path of a superman punch?

To prevent another instance of a champion holding multiple belts, Gunther should make a significant announcement. Given the lack of formidable contenders for his Intercontinental Championship, he was forced to explore new horizons. Gunther will be relinquishing the IC belt to focus on establishing a historic reign with the Universal Championship.

The future of the IC title could be determined by a tournament that features hungry and determined competitors. This not only showcases the talented WWE roster but also ensures that the next champion feels like they have truly earnt their place. This could be a great time to showcase all the talent that have come up short against Gunther but who still remain worthy contenders, roster members who deserve title shots but have been overlooked and perhaps even some hungry NXT stars.

Now, picture this: Gunther, seated at ringside in a sharp suit, proudly draping the Universal Championship over his shoulder. The Intercontinental Championship sits on a silk-covered platform, flanked by Ludwig and Giovanni. The tournament unfolds each week, with Imperium observing, analysing, and critiquing the suitability of the competitors.

For the brackets, after much consideration—taking into account Sheamus's injury and other superstars tied up in different storylines—I settled on a mix of suitable contenders. When it comes to showcasing NXT stars, while Ilja is a personal favourite, Carmelo Hayes or Bron Breakker would also shine in this spotlight.

As for the winner, recognizing that LA Knight is a huge fan favourite, my vision for the IC title aligns more with Drew McIntyre. It presents Drew with a well deserved opportunity for a dominant championship run playing out in front of real life crowds.

The legacy of Gunther's historic Intercontinental Championship reign will undoubtedly leave an enduring mark on the sport, setting the tone for an exciting new era and setting the stage for another unforgettable chapter in WWE history.

King of Kings (Triple H) is a song with a guy I need to fistfight over the shared name but the song itself is sooo silly. On your knees dog. "Broken But Loved"

Seth still gets nightmares when he goes to sleep about that night and the man that took everything from him. Every night he sees that evil smile of Shinsuke Nakamura and the fatal words he said in Seth's ear after he slammed that steel chair with full force on his back. "I broke you…" Shinsuke whispers with a cruel laugh.

Seth wakes up in a pool of sweat and looks around to see where he's at when he feels puffs of air on the back of his neck and he realizes where he's at. He's at home in his bed with his husband, Dean cuddling him from behind. Seth takes a breath of relief as Dean cuddles Seth while asleep. "It was just another bad dream" Seth thought as he wiped the sweat from his forehead.

 "Maybe splashing some water on my face would make me feel better" Seth whispered to himself. Seth gently moved Dean's arm off of him and went to go to the bathroom until the heart sinking realization sunk in for Seth. He realized he couldn't walk to the bathroom… not anymore.

Seth's paralyzed from the waist down because of Shinsuke. When the steel chair went down on Seth's back, all Seth heard was a sickening crack and felt immense pain until he couldn't feel his legs anymore. It felt like Seth's world came crumbling down when all he heard was Shinsuke's cruel laugh as he tried to get his legs to move but failed when all he felt was nothing. 

He remembers seeing Shinsuke about to slam the chair on his head when Dean came out with a crowbar and busted Shinsuke in the face with it. Dean then picked Seth up bridal style and drove him out of the arena and to the hospital. Dean was pacing in the hospital room and talking about all the things he's gonna do to Shinsuke. When the doctor came into the room to tell him the news, it was there that Seth felt like he flatlined. Next thing he remembered was Dean holding him while he screamed and cried into his husband's chest. 

After that night, Seth had to give up his championship and retire from wrestling since he couldn't walk anymore. He's been using a wheelchair as a means of moving around and Dean takes care of him when he isn't working at AEW every Wednesday and Friday night. Seth feels like a burden whenever Dean has to help him get dressed or comfort him when he has a breakdown. Dean tells him constantly that he doesn't mind taking care of Seth and does it cause he loves him but sometimes those words pass right over Seth's head.

Seth comes back to reality when he feels Dean turn him around and wrap his arms back around his waist and pull himself into Seth's chest. He feels how Dean's hands tighten around him for a brief moment then go back to a loose grip and it makes Seth feel even worse. Seth knows that Dean's arthritis has been getting worse over the years and knowing Dean is dealing with that on top of taking care of Seth is too much for his mind to handle. "Why are you still with me when I'm just a burden to you now?" Seth quietly asks his sleeping husband as tears stream down his cheeks.

He must've been crying a bit too loud cause he hears Dean groan and watches as his eyes flutter open. "Seth? Are you ok?" Dean asks while half asleep. "Yeah I'm fine, it was just another nightmare…" Seth says as he quickly tries to wipe the tears from his eyes. Dean sits up and gives Seth a look which means he knows that Seth is lying out of his ass. "You wouldn't be crying if it was just a nightmare Seth now can you please tell why you're crying?" Dean asks gently. 

Seth started to cry even harder which caused Dean to hug him and slightly rock him. “It's ok Seth, let it out…” Dean says gently as he kisses the top of Seth's head. “W-Why are you still with me?” Seth says through tears. Dean stopped rocking him and looked into Seth's eyes. “Why would you ask me that Seth?” Dean asks worryingly. “Cause I'm just a fucking burden to you now!” Seth yells into Dean's chest. 

“How are you a burden Sethie?” Dean asks gently. “I-I had a nightmare about the night I got paralyzed and it made me realize that you risk your body every week and then you gotta come home and take care of me… it's not fair to you” Seth says sadly. “I don't mind taking care of you Seth” Dean says softly. “You say that but do you really mean it? How do I know you're not just gonna leave one day cause you can't handle it anymore?” Seth says as he looks into Dean's eyes. “To be honest Seth, I ask you the same thing every single day you're with me” Dean says truthfully.

They sat in silence for a couple minutes until Seth spoke again. “You know Dean, if you ever want to kill me you can. Just put a pillow over my face and suffocate me and I wouldn't fight back. I don't know why you love something that's so broken” Seth says as he looks away and starts to cry again. He hears a low growl and feels Dean squeeze him a bit tighter from behind. “Why the fuck would you ever ask me that? Why would you think I would ever wanna do that!?!” Dean says angrily. Seth feels Dean's tears wetting the back of his shirt.

Seth didn't have the chance to answer before Dean spoke again. “Do you know what would happen if I lost you Seth? I would be so fucking lost and alone without you. If I woke up one day and you weren't there next to me, I wouldn't be able to handle it. If it wasn't for you I would've put a bullet in my brain a long fucking time ago cause if you die then I die too” he says through tears. “I mean that much to you?” Seth says as he turns around to wipe away Dean's tears. “I love you too much to just walk away from you Seth” Dean says as he presses their foreheads together. 

“Even if I'm broken?” Seth says as he looks into Dean's eyes again. “Just because you're broken doesn't mean shit cause I'll always love you and besides I'm broken and you still love me” Dean says with a small smile. “How are you broken Dean?” Seth asks curiously. “I'm broken mentally, I'm not the “resident crazy guy” at work for nothing and you know about my incidents” Dean says as he pulls his sleeves down. Seth grabs Dean's arm, pulls the sleeve up and kisses the scars on his wrist. 

“We can't live without each other can we?” He says with a quiet laugh. “Is that a bad thing Sethie?” Dean says as he pulls Seth back into his lap. “No Deano, it just means no matter how hard I'd try I'll never be able to get rid of you” Seth says, causing Dean to laugh. “Nope! You're stuck with me till eternity as it was your idea to marry me twenty years ago” Dean says causing Seth to laugh as well. They sat in silence for a couple minutes until Seth said something…

“I'm sorry for asking you to kill me earlier, I would never make you do something like that to me. Hello there, my lovely anon! I definitely can do that - I really couldn't come up with solid ideas, so I admit to taking the lazy way out, so have a pretty comprehensive list on what type of Benders everyone would be in this AU! And guys, there are so many characters in Gintama so I swear it wasn't as easy and lazy as it looks! Thanks for sending in a request and I hope you'll enjoy!

Okay, so we're going into this AU with there being the four major bending types - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Each bending type is as it is portrayed in Avatar: The Last Airbender, with people possessing different degrees of bending and different skills being present within each bending type.

So, when considering which type of Bender each character would be, I kind of broke it down into personality types and traits and qualities to look for, based on what I figure the 'stereotypical' Bender is for each of the four.

Earth Benders are a little rough around the edges, slow to anger, slow to decide on things, but stubborn once their mind is made up. They can be sensitive and they are often very patient.

Air Benders are gentle souls, respectful and adaptable, changeable. They're fast, both in their movements and in their thoughts.

Water Benders are typically calm and easy-going, flexible enough to adapt to their companions or situations. They're often quite easy to talk to and rather content with their lives.

Fire Benders are often prideful and confident individuals who are loyal, determined and ambitious. They can be very playful and fun but they often also have very short fuses on their tempers, which can be very volatile and explosive.

Keeping that in mind, this is what I figure the characters would be for Benders.

Card ~ If you could pick the matches for a wrestling event, who would be in it and for what event? Okie, hear me out… I would LOVE to have a Forbidden Door-type of event between ROH/AEW and WWE. Wrestling News From This Past Weekend (WWE Payback, CM Punk & Tony Khan)

Hey there guys & girls,

I’m Andy Mac, AKA The Blue Brand owner and creator (@The_Blue_Brand) on X / Twitter. I thought I would delve into the world of blog writing and what better thing to write about than my favourite pastime Professional Wrestling.

I started watching WWF back in early 2000 around the time of the Royal Rumble. I was instantly hooked and became an avid fan of the great one, the brahma bull – The Rock! I was 100% invested in his battle with the Big Show around this time before heading towards WrestleMania 2000’s fatal four-way (McMahon in each corner) match against the champ Triple H, Mick Foley and The Big Show. 

Since then, I’ve never looked back really, and I’ve been watching WWE for 23 years and counting. During this time, I’ve checked out TNA / Impact Wrestling, AEW and most recently Pro-Wrestling NOAH from Japan.

Anyway, maybe for a future blog I’ll write more about my introduction to the world of professional wrestling as a 9-year-old in the year 2000 and tell you who my favourites were. For now, I’m here to talk about this past weekend – 2nd & 3rd September and two stories I’ve decided to give my views on. Obviously, all opinions given are my own. Let’s get started –

WWE Payback – Saturday 2nd September 2023.  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena. 

Seth “Freakin” Rollins (C) Vs Shinsuke Nakamura – Winner, Seth “Freakin” Rollins. 

Match Length – 26:05.

I know most people coming out of this PLE are talking primarily about the women’s steel cage match between WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus and “The Man” Becky Lynch. Don’t get me wrong, this match was great and deserves all the praise and plaudits that is currently receiving, but for me personally the main event was the highlight.

First of all, it was extremely refreshing to see a different main event match at a PLE that didn’t include Roman Reigns or the Bloodline. Of course, I’m a huge fan of this storyline and the journey we’ve all been on the past few years, but it was nice to explore and experience something different.

In the build up to this match we got to see a ruthless and more aggressive side of Nakamura that we haven’t seen in a very long time. On top of that on the night of the PLE the company released an awesome animated promo package with Nakamura narrating over the top of it about what he planned to do to Rollins in their match. Rollins sold this well during the match – I also enjoyed the personal touch with Nakamura taking aim at Rollins family in the build-up.

Both men made their way to the ring, went through the usual introductions before the match got underway. Heading in to this one I had put money on Nakamura winning, especially with The Great Muta being in attendance. But in the end after a match that lasted just over 25 minutes, Seth Rollins managed to get the win with a curb stomp. This match was refreshing in sense that we had a babyface champion defending his title successfully in the main event of a WWE PLE. I also loved the fact that the pacing of the match was really well laid out. The match was telling the story of an injured Seth Rollins dealing with severe back issues that had been highlighted in the lead up to this match – So naturally as any good heel should do, Nakamura attacked and went on the offence with strong moves on the champions back. I’ve got to also give Michael Cole and Corey Graves huge credit for really selling the severity of the back injury and the pain Seth Rollins was having to deal with. My only critique of this match was the actual end, it felt quite abrupt, not due to match length, but maybe I’ve become to accustomed to multiple kick outs from finisher after finisher in Roman Reigns and AEW main event matches.

Initially I was disappointed it also ended the way it did for Nakamura, a clean loss after being so savage before and during the match. But thankfully once the PLE went off air Nakamura assaulted Rollins on the ramp. This feud still has legs, Nakamura can be a whiny but savage heel who feels embarrassed losing this World Title match in front of The Great Muta.

Let’s see how this one plays out on Monday Night RAW tonight!

Tony Khan and CM Punk – AEW Release CM Punk after (another) backstage fight

I’ll start this with Tony Khan – The list of job titles this man holds within the company alone should show why this doesn’t work. I know people will be quick to tell me The Elite are VP’s and have different roles within the company… But let’s face it, Tony holds all the real power and authority and he’s shown multiple times that he isn’t capable of being a strong leader or showing true authority to members of his roster who act out or behave unprofessionally. Let’s be honest, CM Punk should have been gone after the press conference and fight afterwards with The Elite last year, this all occurred after he defeated Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship at All Out 2022 last September. The fact Khan was willing to bring him back, basically create a whole new show for him and allow the carnage to continue and expected it to be smooth sailing says it all. What did he expect to happen? Can you imagine Vince McMahon allowing this to occur?

Now I’ll quickly discuss CM Punk – As I write this there are reports online about WWE actually being interested in CM Punk last year before WrestleMania. The idea of him returning at the Royal Rumble 2023 and being eliminated by Kevin Owens was proposed. This would supposedly lead to him facing Owens in the main event of WrestleMania night one. This apparently was actually considered by Vince McMahon and Triple H. These reports also note that Vince McMahon is open to Punk returning and Triple H would consider it, however he would want long-term story plans etc… in place. All of this makes sense if you consider Punk showed up at a Monday Night RAW earlier this year in the parking lot.

In conclusion, Tony Khan in my opinion needs to hire proper management that can be in between himself and the talent – Omega and The Young Bucks don’t count, sorry Tony. CM Punk, well, if he really does get one last chance with WWE, my advice would be –

Make a deal like Brock Lesnar / Goldberg – Work a set amount of dates, only work in the ring on PLE and have a set amount of TV appearances. Be a special attraction, be the star that you were between 2011 & 2014 in WWE.

 Do as you’re told by Vince McMahon and Triple H – Learn from your mistakes in AEW. Yes, I blame Tony Khan for not being able to control his roster, but CM Punk also has to take responsibility for being a veteran who handles disagreements with fist fights. You can’t settle disagreements in this way in 2023.

I was a huge CM Punk fan back in his run with WWE, I couldn’t wait to see him in AEW. But due to a couple of fights and injuries, we were robbed of a full two year run and got a stop / start one year run. It’s a real shame, his career deserves to end better than this.

LA Knight losing his United States belt to Shinsuke I don't have anything against him but for Nakamura to come back and just win the belt like that *snap of finger* it's a bit stupid... Cause LA Knight was defending his belt night after night and you make him lose to someone who came back after 7 months, it doesn't make sense... My best friend just cried because she love LA Knight so much and for him to lose like this is just the worst booking...
