In Berry Blast Brigade Yusuke is way more chill about the "Chidori kidnapping him that one time" thing than most people would be but Hamuko does not forgive or forget when it comes to her baby siblings so whenever Yusuke wants to visit Chidori in the hospital Hamuko is in the hallway glaring menacingly.
#this is one of those things where the fact that I only vaguely remember the broad plot of p3 is gonna hurt me#because I don't remember where Chidori kidnapping Junpei happens I just remember junpei misses a boss fight bc Chidori thinks he's the#leader of sees#like I FEEL like it's in the first half but I don't think shinji's in the party yet#Berry blast brigade#hamuko does chill out on this eventually#hence the encouraging Junpei to visit Chidori so she doesn't die#but in the immediate aftermath she's like 'if you touch Yusuke I will kill you'#generally speaking even if they don't get full personas Yusuke Kasumi and Sumire should all almost die at least once#idk man those are children who do not have weapons#A LITTLE child endangerment is going to happen#the tragic thingn is you always have to have mina or ham in your party#because it would be so cute to make a party of just elementary schoolers#the other hard part is making sure Yusuke doesn't take away too much from jundori which I don't think I'm doing but again#the plot floats vaguely in my head#junpei is so good with the kids this is very important to me so he still feels bad

Shinjiro Aragaki 🤝 Rebecca Gales
Mom friends who constantly try telling others how they should live their lives and believe they know what’s best for everyone else who would explode and die if anyone did the same to them
#the klock keeps ticking#theres always a damn pattern with my faves somewhere AAGHHHH#theyre just like me and i hate it#that was another thing i really liked about the shinji social episodes in reload was that bit where hes telling minato to always keep his#promises and minato is like ‘but you arent keeping your own promises???’ its like lol get his ass#and yeah just rebecca and shinji are characters who i firmly believe to have ocd and its my hill to die on#like with rebecca shes just very obsessive over her relationships like particularly with ashton she clings to a version of him she built in#her head and she gets very angry and depressed when he doesnt fit that mold and she just tries to organize her life around her obsession#and shinji i love to imagine castor being like a metaphor for intrusive thoughts like shinji is terrified of losing control#and terrified that he is dangerous and that hes capable of seriously hurting the people he loves#so much so that he isolates himself from everyone as a way of protecting them and he takes suppression drugs to kill the intrusive thoughts#but much like what happens when you try to repress intrusive thoughts this doesnt go well and it harms him even further#but he believes its the right thing to do because at least he wont be dangerous anymore and its what he deserves#and you know isolation and desperately trying to drown away your intrusive thoughts only leads to worse obsession#im so normal about him and his relationship with his persona#this man has so much ocd my god and so does rebecca and im not TRYING TO PROJECT OKAY IT JUST KEEPS HAPPENING#theyre my faves for a reason 😩#anyways i think these two would be iconic besties and also possibly horrible together cuz theyd both be trying to tell the other how to fix#themselves and neither of them would listen but i mean theyd bond over cooking rebecca could infodump and shinji would listen#rebecca would see how shinji lives and shed be like ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT and insist on getting him in a safe environment#which who knows whod win shinji is awfully stubborn but rebecca is very scary and will whack a bitch with a book#shinji would see her thing with ashton and be like giving her some wise but harsh reality check which is really funny to imagine#like rebecca just gets this life lesson from some emo 18 year old shed be like ‘what do you know’ and then cry in the bathroom#i think theyd have such a big soft spot for each other though and they would be very powerful together and kick many asses

Hey! I was wondering if you would do a headcanon for the lieutenants and captains for the kind of hugs they give.
Hiiiii!!! Omg, I actually love this idea <3 I'll do another part with the lieutenants in it <3
Jushiro Ukitake: The calmest, warmest hug to ever exist. He wraps you up in his arms, cradling the back of your head and just comforts you in a way that is out of this world. A hand rubbing up and down the long of your back, his head near your ear, soft, warm breaths hitting your earlobe.
Shunsui Kyoraku: He hugs you in a loving way, but he's a little cheeky and mischievous with it. Strong, muscular arms wrapping around your body and pulling you into his chest. Placing a soft kiss on your forehead as his hand runs down the curve of your back to your ass, squeezing the flesh.
Byakuya Kuchiki: His hugs are like a crispy, chill afternoon. He won't show affection or hug you in the public, but if it’s just the two of you, it's a different story. Arms gently wrapped around your waist, squeezing you every once in a while. His chin resting on top of your head, holding you in such a caring way. It's relaxing and refreshing to have Byakuya holding you.
Kenpachi Zaraki: At first, his hugs at first are like a porcupines needles, but then they are smooth like the back of a whale, so strong and powerful, but yet, calming and not overwhelming. He knows his strength, so he knows how tight to hold you. It's comforting how tight he can hold you and he runs his hand over your head, gripping the back of your neck. He complains when you ask for a hug, but it makes him the happiest man in the world.
Shinji Hirako: He's super greedy with it comes to hugging. He'll squeeze you until you can't breath and are squirming against his body, trying to get out of his tight grip. Seriously though, when he hugs, he can't get enough of you. He'll breathe in your scent and have his arms wrapped around you so damn tight. Shinji will squeeze your flesh and even tickle you and hold you so you can't escape from his tickles.
Toshiro Hitsugaya: His hugs are a little complicated. At first, he'll be cold and shoot you a sharp glare when you ask for a hug. Although, Toshiro cannot resist a hug from you and he caves in. He wraps his arms around your waist and holds you, muttering underneath his breath about how he doesn't like this. You laugh because you know that he does like hugging you, but he doesn't like how vulnerable it makes him. He'll place a kiss on your forehead before fully pulling away from the hug.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi: He won't deny you a hug, but he might tease you about it for a little. He laughs like a manic and grabs onto your shoulders, pulling you onto his lap. He's probably stuck in his lab when you ask him for a hug and he refuses to leave his hard work, so he just places you on his lap and multitasks. He'll stroke your hair or rub your back, typing on his keyboard and clicking on the mouse. He enjoys these quiet moments with you.
Kensei Muguruma: His hugs are firm and his big beefy biceps squeeze you 😩 (what i wouldn't do to have my head being squeezed in his bicep...ahem) The smile that grows across his face is huge as he pulls you into his big chest for a hug. He loves hugging you and especially if you're sad or something, he loves cheering you up. You feel so happy and calm in his arms. His hugs are kind and will last forever; Kensei never wants to let go, but knows he has to go back to work.
Soi-Fon: A quick, but consoling hug. I imagine that Soi-Fon doesn't really like hugs, but for you, she'll put up with it, but only for a few seconds. She won't admit it, but for the first few seconds, she indulges in the hug and cherishes it. She'll start patting your back before pulling away, face twisted with uncertainty.
Sajin Komamura: A big, fluffy hug :) You know the kind of hug that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He'll hold you as long as you need, but in reality, Sajin needs this hug more than anything. He loves to cradle you in his arms and breathe in your scent, relaxing his whole body.

Follow-up to my Fanroad Magazine archival scan post - let's look at some cute 90's anime art! Just random ones that caught my eye:
"Hey, what happened to me!?" As mentioned, this came out before End of Eva did - as such, Asuka & crew really didn't get much of an ending in the TV show. 100% how she would react to watching episode 26, props to our artist (春原てるも/Kasuhara Terumo)
There are just so many "Rei running with toast" pieces, it was clearly a combination of a meme amoung the fans and the theme for the magazine. Love how this one brought marmalade too - never compromise on taste, no matter how late you are.
(The artist's name is "actually, I'm a Shinji fan" btw lol)
I love finds like these - these toast-lugging Rei's are by people who are professional mangaka today! The first is by いちば仔牛/Ichiba Kousei, or "Marketplace Cow" - it ain't their birth name I am sure - and they are a founding member of the doujin circle UGO - which is still going strong! And our second is by (I am 80% sure on this one) うおなてれぴん/Uona Terepin, a quite-accomplished artist who adorably published their first professional work in 1997, a year after this. Their twitter feed is 50% big titty girls and 50% model tanks, absolutely based.
Hot👏Shinji👏Fucks👏, this piece is amazing. What else do I have to say? (緋月れん/Hizuki Ren - maybe, translating Japanese names with no context is hard guys -_-)
This is one of my favourite trends - so Evangelion has a lot of technobabble? And it is very frequently in English. So fans really liked recreating that aesthetic in their art. But in 1996 they didn't have access to like screengrabs from the show or scanned splatbooks on hand? Which meant they just used ~whatever English text they could find - generally newspapers at their university or library. Which means we get Toast Rei splashed on reports of stock indices in the global financial markets, and this beautiful moe-Rei/Asuka looking solemnly out over, uh, some report about housing prices and cholesterol levels? Technobabble indeed! (嶋屋みえ/Shimaya Mei, まなせ貴也/Manase Takaya)
Rei clone army! Adorable. (藤桜智美/Fujisakura Tomomi)
Okay, moving away from Eva, there is in fact a bunch of other properties in here with fanart, but these types stood out to me:
That seinen "Kids on the Street" energy that was peaking in the 90's; fully ~aesthetic. (Keiko Kuyuki)
And to end on a weird note:
One section of the magazine is just a free-for-all of thoughts, and one Yayoi Hirone decided to give us a girl caught in the middle of undressing...alongside a recipe for cooking shrimp. Which, if I am being honest, is a huge improvement over the bullshit they throw on recipes online these days. This is the future we could have had -_-
Anyway, I hope that was fun - if anyone is struck or amused by some of the art in the magazine, I would be happy to see what stood out to you!

ESCORT ──── shinji hirako x fem! reader. ib chase atlantic's escort. fluff + mentions of alcohol. wc of 600+
thinking about captain shinji hirako who would most definitely bribe or pay or do whatever it takes just to have you in the fifth division. he'd be so desperate about it, even go on his knees just to recruit you into the squad that he takes charge of. and for what reason?
the mere sole reason that you miraculously stole the heart of the captain while he came down to shin’o academy to demonstrate kenjutsu for the students. you just so happened to be one of the students that the hirako had to personally teach.
as beautiful as you can be and as bright your smile can shine, it only took a few hours for the blond-haired male to fall under your spell. but you never even put a spell on him in the first place. all you did was breathe, exist, and learn as shinji teaches.
as pathetic as the man can be, he doesn't ever show it. in fact, he does the opposite. he'd go all “oh look. it's the student girl whom i taught that sucks at swordsmanship.” like bro you did not just get on your knees to beg yamamoto to put the ‘student girl’ in your division…
he wants you to work for him and be under his wing, so he watch whatever you do. even better if he's seeing you make such a drastic change and progress ever since your academy days. not that he's a weirdo captain or anything that fancies a student of his, but your ages weren't that much of a difference. in fact, shinji is the one who ended up becoming a captain at such a young and admirable age.
“i can give you love for free, y/n…” shinji said during one messy night where the word sober left his vocabulary. all on his mind are fuzzy images of you.
“trust me, sir, she'd appreciate your love one hundred percent,” a voice said as they took away the bottle of sake in their captain's hands. the man simply looked up at the figure and looked back down, snuggling his drunken face into his arms. “you're kinda... pretty.. not any more beautiful than y/n though.”
“woah sir, thanks for the compliment. i honestly agree too, she's very cute, captain.”
the hirako glared at his subordinate who's helping him get up from the table so he can finally leave the pub with some guidance from someone of his barracks. “you keep her name outta your mouth, pink!”
“it's punk, sir. not pink.”
“shut up. only y/n can tell me what's right or wrong,” shinji's head wobbled just as his division member sighed and draped his long arms around their shoulders. they were oddly smaller than the fifth division captain.
“come on, captain. time to go home. y/n wishes that you return home safely.”
the voice of his subordinate is gentle and soft, so similar to his crush’s voice. he couldn't even tell what is going on right now, but he just lets his subordinate escort him home, not really in the correct state to think of anything else. although, his squad member uttering the name y/n made him all sweets and butterflies on the inside.
after such a night, the man wakes up in a frenzy, struggling to remember whatever happened last night and however in the world he ends up in his soft comfy futon without ever remembering how he got back into his bed.
he stares at a bone china vase for a few good minutes, attempting to search and dig for anything that has been buried by the headache that he currently has. but the more he stared at the reflection of the vase, the more he caught something at the corner of his eyes.
shinji shot his head at the few bags of items that laid beside his futon, a note of instructions on the items written down. he knows this writing. he out of anyone would've recognised this immediately. it belonged to you.
then a flash of memories became visible in his vision.
“THAT WAS Y/N?!?!?”

I have a lot of things to say about this character. I used to identify with her a bit but I no longer do and a lot of the writing in her “arc” has aged poorly. The narrative wants to portray her as just someone who longs to be understood. What we got though is a character who never grows and remains selfish and inconsiderate. I respect and understand that she’s important to a lot of people who are queer and neurodivergent as I am too but I don’t think she’s as good as her stans say.
I’m going to contrast her with two protagonists I am fond of. The character I named my blog after, Ben Tennyson, and Akko from Little Witch Academia which I just finished watching. I actually compared the former to Luz in a more positive post back when I liked her but I think a more critical comparison is needed now. Some have said it but TOH is just an isekai anime for queer people. Any development Luz may have had regarding being less impulsive and selfish got dropped in favor of her just wanting to be understood. She gets everything she wants, to be the hero, to date the rich popular girl, and never be criticized or challenged by anyone.
If Lumity was a cishet ship, it would get a lot more flack from people. Amity herself is woobified by her fans when she was often nasty to Luz or Willow for no reason and didn’t do much to redeem herself for the latter. Luz chose to keep lying to Amity and kept secrets even after she promised to do better. Despite suffering from bad writing in UA, Ben/Julie was still better than this. Julie actually held Ben accountable when he lied or screwed up and she never bullied him, Gwen or Kevin. Ben does try, even if he’s not very good at it to be a better boyfriend and spend more time with Julie as seen in “Revenge of The Swarm” after promising he’d do better.
Some other things that make Ben better than Luz is that his hero fantasy is actually deconstructed. He learns he can’t mess around and do what ever he wants. While he jokes around and acts like a brat, he admits it’s because he’s scared because of the stakes that come if he fails in the episode “The Forge of Creation”. This is not to say Ben 10 is great as it does slip into isekai territory as well with that disgusting harem episode in OV, but it does a little better. He’s also actually bullied as shown in the OS and AF which makes him a bit more sympathetic whereas fanon is used to make Luz more likable than what just the show itself tells.
Regarding Akko, she’s similar to Luz in that she’s impulsive, selfish, rude and wants to be a witch to live out some fantasy. The difference is that Akko learns to be more responsible, that not everything is about her and that she can’t just get whatever she wants. While patience is still something she struggles with by the end of the series, she still grows and becomes a better person. Whereas Luz was willing to abandon everyone while wallowing in self pity, Akko ran away for a few hours after learning that Chariot, her mentor, idol and friend was the reason she was struggling but a quick talk with Diana brought her back. The thing is that a character who’s not a noble saint but still very sympathetic can work such as Shinji Ikari but not if they’re framed as heroic like Luz. That’s why a lot of the show’s writing has not aged well.
To recap, this isn’t to bash people who do identify with Luz and like her. I used to as well, but she’s got some flaws that are often brushed away and the narrative seemed like it wanted to have its cake and eat it too. Wanted to challenge traditional fantasy tropes while ultimately turning into a chosen one wish fulfillment for Luz. TOH was praised for its representation as well as by people who view it as the anti SU but its not the greatest show ever and there are some troubling implications.

Ichigo has horrible nightmares, because I refuse to believe that he doesn't, and insomnia.
Most of the time he just gets up for the rest of the night, goes to train or on runs to try to burn off the anxious energy.
If they're bad enough, or he's at the point where if he doesn't sleep then he going to pass out, he develops a habit of goes finding certain people.
The nightmares leave him a little frazzled, mind messy from lack of sleep and fear. They leave him a little more vulnerable, a little less self conscious of getting comfort because he may shake out of his skin if he doesn't settle down. Sometimes he does things without realizing it, fight or flight kicking in along side unsettled hollow instincts, and he's off to find somewhere he feels safe and can sleep.
In the human world, he'll sneak in to find Kisuke. Right, sneak, like anyone in that building doesn't know he's there.
Sometimes Kisuke's in his labs so Ichigo just sits down outside the door, just enough out of the way to not trip anyone, back to the wall and arms crossed over them to rest his head on.
It soothes the vulnerable feeling, the sharp edge of terror in his chest. He trusts Kisuke to sense a threat and respond to it. He also likes the feeling of his reiatsu, cool like river stones and soothing like summer rain.
If Kisuke is busy or out, then he'll find a spot where he feels close enough to Tessai or Yoruichi to grasp at them for comfort.
They're all great about it.
Yoruichi will come and curl up next to him, her reiatsu brushing against his skin like fur, soft and warm. She purrs until the panic doesn't itch under his skin so badly. He's woken up to blankets pulled over him and sometimes a pillow between him and the wall.
The true problems arise whenever he stays in soul society.
No one says anything but he knows they can all tell when he has a nightmare, his reiatsu reacting to his fear and discomfort. Between the nightmares and the fear of waking everyone up, he's too anxious to sleep.
It's the 4th night with no sleep and he's restless, eyes burning and head reeling. It's familiarity that has him walking mindlessly until he finds Shinji's office. He slips in and ignores the sharp gaze immediately on him. This isn't new, he did this a few times while training with them.
He sits down in the far corner, back to the wall and facing the door. He draws his legs and rests his head on them. He already feels better, sleep creeping up on him fast.
All the visored have a eerie quality to their reiatsu but Ichigo likes it, especially like this. The sun warmed and soft sandy feeling of Shinji's reiatsu covering him is enough for him to sleep.
Shinji might be the only one beside Kisuke that Ichigo breaks his distance rule for. It's easier for everyone if they keep acknowledgement to a minimum when Ichigo seeks them out in the night. They've had years, centuries some of them, to make their peace with what they've seen and done. Ichigo has not. It's a topic they all avoid, pretending that not talking about it makes it go away.
He's a little touch starved, he'll admit it. He doesn't get much contact that isn't fighting, or that isn't meant to hurt or teach.
The clawing urge to be safe eats at him, especially at night. It won't let him rest, keeps him awake with anxious thoughts or wakes him up with fear.
Very, very few things would willing take on Kisuke Urahara or Shinji Hirako, even if the prize was Ichigo.
So getting a little more personal is common with them. He sits a little closer, holds on a little tighter, visits them a little more. The pressure of their reiatsu feels like a weighted blanket.
He also find others he trusts for those nights.
He's goes to Kensei and ignores Shuhei's questioning and semi concerned look.
Kensei complains about having too many people in his office, Mashiro sticks her tongue out at him and Shuhei looks genuinely ruffled at the comment, but he doesn't turn Ichigo away.
He won't, wouldn't.
Kensei's reiatsu reminds him of swaying bamboo leaves and splotches of sunlight through tree branches, Mashiro's is tall grass and wildflowers, and Shuhei's is heavy but comforting.
Ichigo wakes up to Mashiro snoring on one shoulder, the side between him and the door, Shuhei is asleep on the other.
He also goes to Rose, who doesn't seem surprised to see him either.
Kira usually sits in the office too, a familiar restlessness and unease to him that Ichigo recognized in himself. They sit next to each other and it's nice to have the warmth of someone next to him.
He relaxes and can almost hear Rose's reiatsu humming, Kira's a gentle rain storm at his side.
There's a simmering fury that burns hot in the Visored everytime Ichigo comes to them, exhausted and anxious, and joins lieutenants already there for the same reasons.
Aizen left a mark on the younger ones, dark circles under their eyes and nightmares a constant battle.
Ichigo does well with them though. He sits quietly with Kira, sometimes they talk in low voice until they end up slumped against each other. He usually ends up between Mashiro and Shuhei, all of them falling asleep in a mess of limbs. He's unsure with Momo, a lot of people are, but she's growing to like him and it won't be long before they start talking. It doesn't hurt that Tōshirō thinks highly of Ichigo.
Tōshirō just waves him to the corner, in the middle of arguing with Rangiku and eventually kicking her out for the night. He's quiet as he goes back to work and the room is almost chilly, but it feels good against Ichigo's flushed skin. Tōshirō pauses a few times like he wants to say something, the words almost spilling out of his mouth, but he doesn't. He resumes working and Ichigo falls asleep to a snowstorm. Rangiku wakes him up in the morning with a smile and the smell of smoke and embers.
The 11th is... unexpected. It's the worst nightmare he's had in a while and stumbling out in a panic had brought him here. Maybe because nothing was stupid enough to come looking for a fight with Kenpachi and his men. That longing for safe eventually made the decision for him and he sat on the far edges of the division, hidden by the shadows. He knows that anyone awake would know he was there and sure enough, Yumichika comes around the corner and raises an eyebrow at him while Ikkaku looks over his shoulder. Ichigo just curls in a little tighter and watches them, waiting for them to kick him out or laugh. They don't do either. Yumichika just sighs and says something to Ikkaku and they sit down further down the walkway. They don't look at him, looking away or even closing their eyes. The tension slowly leaves, and it's hard to stay awake as he relaxes. The reiatsu that rolls over him smells like iron and he can vaguely tell where Kenpachi is, his reiatsu twisting and cracking like lightning.
He wakes up with just enough time to sneak out, hovering in front of Yumichika and Ikkaku hesitantly, only taking off when Kenpachi start howling about a fight.
They're laughing as he runs off.
Byakuya almost doesn't allow it, but Ichigo must look as bad as he feels because he only gets observed for a minute before he's ignored again. It's the only sign he gets that he won't get kicked out and it makes him hesitant at the door before slinking into the far corner and getting comfortable. He falls asleep to flowers and the cool warmth of spring cautiously grazing his skin. He wakes up to the smell of cold steel and the feel of scale and furs. Renji and Rukia sit beside him, waiting for him to wake up.
--------------------------
Do I go back and forth between Ichigo being everyone's secret crush or their collectively adopted, traumatized human? Yes, and everything/anything in between.

The group peered over to the bar where Alastor sat alone. The space around him was clear as everyone at Consent chose to stay away from him, especially since he oozed more malevolence than usual.
"Boy, he's really taking this breakup hard," Angel noted.
It had been his idea for them to go to the club to help Alastor move on from Y/N. It wasn't exactly his scene and he was close to declining the invitation, but Charlie insisted and offered free drinks for the night.
Things were okay, at first, when they got there. Alastor kept to himself but interacted with everyone politely. Then he had said he was off to refill his glass of whiskey, but that was 20 minutes ago. Cut to him seated where he was at that moment.
"Well, this isn't exactly his scene Angel," Vaggie said, eyeing a nearby couple making out heavily while stumbling over to the nearest Sex Room. "I don't know why you insisted on bringing him to this place."
"What? Would you rather he spend his time moping around the hotel? At least, this way, he might find some good strange that can make him forget about Y/N."
"Humph," Husk uttered. "Might be easier said than done since no one is even brave enough to sit next to him."
Everyone turned back to the bar to watch Alastor demonstrate this by snarling at a random patron who oozed over to the seat next to him before realizing who he was and scurrying off like a chastised dog.
"He likes to play hard to get," Angel shrugged, downing another shot. "Worked on Y/N, didn't it?"
Charlie sighed, her eyes still on Alastor and noticing how forlorn he suddenly looked. "It was a nice idea, Angel, but I don't think he wants to forget about her."
"That's good!" Niffty chirped, suddenly popping up amongst the group to point to something across from them. "'Cause she's over there!"
"Wait, what?!" Vaggie exclaimed.
Everyone's eyes followed where Niffty was directing them and, sure enough, they found Y/N seated at a table alone with a drink, observing the crowd before her and looking lost in thought.
"Fuck! This isn't good." Vaggie said, her eyes darting back and forth to the bar and where Y/N was.
"Why? This could be better than my idea." Angel pointed out. "They see each other, talk, work things out, then they can continue making up in one of these rooms!"
"It's not that simple," Charlie said. "We might know Alastor could've developed strong feelings for Y/N, but she still sees him as the asshole who used her and lied to her. Everything is still fresh."
She looked back at Alastor whose back was still turned which thankfully meant he was none the wiser about his ex being there. "We don't want to risk drama brewing while they're still vulnerable. I'll go ahead and do my best to be there for him. You guys keep an eye on Y/N. Alert me about anything that might trigger any drama."
You continued to watch your sisters with a couple guys around them. You smiled and waved at one of them then shook your head when they motioned for you to join them on the dancefloor. You remained seated as you took another sip of your cocktail.
It was sweet of Clara and Odette to take you out, and the club was a nice change of scenery from Zestial's manor, but you just weren't feeling it. You'd rather stand by and play designated driver/bodyguard for your sisters. The last thing you wanted was for them to get mixed up with the wrong guy who says the right things.
You don't know why you still felt the way you did. You don't know why you still missed him, especially after realizing he was using you the whole time. You were angry, of course, and even made plans in your head to chop his head off, mount it on the wall, and feed the rest of his body to Hell hounds. You weren't just mad about him and your mother, however. You were also pretty heartbroken since all the times they were there for you were all a facade.
Looking back on your relationship, you wondered what was genuine and what was an act. Were the intimate details he shared with you real, or the love declarations he'd send through his broadcasts? Did every kiss and touch actually make him cringe? Did he only power through because you were promised by your mother to him?
"Well, fancy seeing you here,"
Your thoughts were interrupted by a not-so-pleasant and familiar voice. You turned your attention away from the dancefloor to see the seat across from you was now occupied. You did your best to hide your disgust at Vox's smarmy grin.
"Vox," you greeted him stoically with a curt nod before going back to looking at the dancing crowd, hoping he'd get the hint that you were in no mood to talk.
"I couldn't help but notice you from across the room," he claimed, taking your face in his hand so you'd be forced to look at him. "I gotta say the breakup agrees with you. I've never seen you look so ravishing."
You grimaced as you pulled his hand off you. "Thanks."
"My colleagues and I are seated in the VIP section if you care to join us. Drinks are on me, of course."
"Oh, are you sure you want to spend time with one of Carmine's brats?" You retorted, referring to the time he deemed you as such after the last Overlord meeting. Was every demon you knew so two-faced?
"Forgive me for being so rude before," Vox said, stretching out an apologetic smile. "If we're being honest, I mostly said what I did out of jealousy. I couldn't believe how lucky that asshole was to be with a beauty like yourself." He took your hand. "So you can imagine my joy when I learned about your breakup. That freak was stupid to let you go."
You hummed, smiling sarcastically. "And I suppose you're a better option for me,"
"Well, it goes without saying," he chuckled pompously. "The most that grinning grandpa has done since he's come back is help run a hotel doomed to fail at any second. Meanwhile, I have been a great success, producing amazing content for all of Hell to watch. It's made me rich enough to spoil anyone I deem worthy of my time."
"Lucky me, but I'm gonna have to pass. I'm not really in the mood to start anything new, let alone with another Overlord who talks too much." You stood up from your seat and began walking off to the bar, intending to freshen up your drink. "Good talking with you, Vox."
You barely walked three steps when he appeared in front of you, still with a smug look. "Come on, sweetheart, you know I'm your best option now, especially since you've cut off your best resources,"
You narrowed your eyes as something menacing began to bubble up inside you. "Excuse me?"
"Think about it," Vox continued, none the wiser about your silent rage. "It won't be long until Mommy and the best guard dog you ever had get bored of waiting for you to crawl back to them. Then what'll you do? Keep yourself holed up at Uncle Zest's place?" He took your waist and pulled you towards him. "It's better to go for someone who has the means to care for you and knows your worth."
He certainly gave you some stuff to reflect on, that was for sure. It was a hard pill to swallow, but it was true. If things didn't return to normal, it'd be time to plan your next step.
For the time being, you had to take care of the cocky prick smirking down at you.
"Vox..." you cooed suddenly, making yourself look as flirty and doe-eyed as possible as you slung your arm around his neck. His smile grew wide as he felt your other arm slide between you. He leaned closer to your lips but was halted by your hand tightly squeezing his groin as you kept your sweet persona on. "If you ever touch me or talk to me like that again, I'll film myself ripping your slimy dick clean off you and play the footage on a loop on your big, flat face. 'Kay?"
Since he was too busy groaning in agony from your touch, he simply nodded. It was your turn to smile triumphantly as you pecked his face and let him go. You paid no mind to him crumbling to the floor, holding onto his groin. You instead walked out of the club to get some air. What you did was certainly needed, but now it was time to break down in tears.
"Hey, Al,"
Alastor turned his head and found Charlie by his side with an awkward smile on her face.
"You never came back to join us. I just wanted to see if you were okay."
"I'm fine, my dear," he attempted to give her one of his big grins, but it was more forceful than anything else. "I just needed to take some time away from all the noise and depravity, nothing more."
"We know this isn't exactly your scene, but Angel truly was thinking about you when it came to going out tonight. At least the drinks are good, right?" She raised her glass to him, which he humored by lightly tapping his against it. "Maybe we can go to that jazz place you like and listen to some music there."
"Appreciate the offer, but that place is currently tainted with...memories,"
"Oh," was all she said, knowing what he meant.
A silence fell between them, the thumping music and crowd deafening it before Charlie spoke up again.
"I really did think the radio dedication was a good idea. It was very romantic. It just surprised me when Y/N called and...you know."
"That makes two of us," Alastor replied, his smile growing sardonic while he sipped his drink. It took a more tender turn as he looked ahead. "How'd you do it, Charlie?"
"Huh?"
"How did you manage to forgive Vaggie the way you did? She kept a rather large secret from you for three years, yet it only took a day for you to forgive her. So, I ask again, how?"
When she didn't answer right away, he looked back at her. She appeared shocked to hear what she did. Anyone would be due to how out of character this was for Alastor. This whole situation could be considered as such. She gave what he asked some thought, all the same.
"It definitely wasn't easy," she started. "I needed time alone to think about everything. I didn't know what to think. Thankfully, a friend of ours gave me some good advice about actions saying more than anything words could. It let me reflect on everything Vaggie has done for me. And she has done plenty."
Charlie smiled lovingly to herself as she thought more about this. "She's my rock who's believed in me when no one else would. When I couldn't believe in myself. Even though this big thing she kept from me was terrifying and heartbreaking, all she's done for me outweighs it." Her attention returned to Alastor, who was invested in what she had to say. For the first time that night, his smile held no negativity. "Right now, Y/N needs time to think about everything that happened, and so do you. You gotta figure out your feelings, consider hers, and then figure out what you want before you plan your next move."
It was his turn to glance away and look pensive. He supposed she was right. He knew though that he missed Y/N more than he cared to admit, but he was the last person she wanted to speak with after he broke her heart the way he did. He wanted another chance, but it would take more than cliche gestures. To start, it would take time.
He was ready to give the night another chance, for now, and was about to disclose this with Charlie, but she was looking at something among the crowd that made her look uncomfortable. He followed her gaze and what he saw made him darken his eyes and shatter the glass in his hand.
Not too far away was Y/N being held by none other than Vox. His eyes narrowed and his teeth bared further as he saw how receptive she was to the flat-faced fuck's moves. When she threw an arm around Vox, Alastor released a growl.
"That arrogant, loud-mouth, woman-stealing-"
"Easy, Alastor!" Charlie attempted to calm him down when noticing how he was starting to stretch into his demon form. "We don't know if it's what it looks like." She peered back at the pair and looked disgusted at the sight of Y/N's hand lowering. "Even if it is, remember: she has to figure stuff out. You gotta let her, no matter how painful it is."
Static buzzed around Alastor as he gave that some thought. He didn't have a right to be jealous of this interaction. He had to see it from her point of view: their relationship was nothing but lies. She had every right to move on. He really didn't want to, but if he wanted to show he could be a better man for her, he needed to change. Part of the change included easing his temper and letting her go, as much as it pained him.
He looked at Y/N one last time, taking in the beauty he missed holding so dearly. When she gave Vox a kiss, however, it was enough to make Alastor teleport away back to the hotel.

marry that girl!
pairing: shinjiro aragaki x fem!reader
summary: after years of dating, your wedding day is finally here and shinjiro can't wait to finally make you his wife!
tags: wholesome fluff, established romantic relationship, akihiko is shinji's best man, emotional & crying!shinjiro, emotional wedding vows, kissing & holding hands, shinji & reader love each other so much, former s.e.e.s.!reader, high school sweehearts
a/n: the banner for this post is from @aragaki ! i've come across their 3D renders before & this post just desperately needed a happy image of shinjiro (but canon doesn't offer a lot of those)! if you like shinjiro, you absolutely need to check out their blog!
“i never would've took you for the type of guy to get married, you know?” akihiko chuckled, as he tied shinjiro's tie around his neck. shinjiro himself was way too jittery to tie the tie by himself, eagerly and anxiously awaiting to finally see you in front of the altar.
“if you had told me in high school that i'd one day marry that girl, i would've told you you're crazy!” shinjiro huffed amused. “but now i can't imagine a life without her anymore…”
shinjiro smile softly to himself, as he thought back on those times. back when he had that huge crush on you, but thought that eventually it would go away. yet here he was, years later, ready to finally put a ring on you and make you his wife.
“you've turned sappy, shinji” akihiko teased, before pulling away from his best friend, taking a step back to check him out. “alright, you're looking good! it's time you finally get out there!”
shinjiro glanced towards the mirror again. he never cared too much about his appearance, but at least for today, he wanted to look good. he had to look good, if he had such a pretty bride waiting for him!
as shinjiro entered the wedding hall, akihiko by his side, in place of a father that shinjiro never knew, all eyes were on him. while akihiko held his head high, walking shinjiro down the aisle, shinjiro couldn't help but let his gaze wander through the crowd. there were so many people here, so many people that cared about you and him. if his high school self knew how many people he had in his life that cared so deeply for him, he likely wouldn't believe it.
“relax a little.” akihiko whispered to shinjiro, as the two men stopped at the altar, both of their eyes locked to the big door that you'd come walking through any moment now. “she won't ditch you.”
“shut up, i never even thought about that!” shinjiro quietly huffed in response to akihiko's teasing, before the two men chuckled softly.
just then, the door opened. a bride in white emerged from outside and entered the room, all eyes on her. but she only had eyes for shinjiro.
“fuck…” shinjiro mumbled under his breath, the sight of you alone bringing a little tear to his eye. this was real. he really got to marry you now. shinjiro still couldn't believe his luck, but it slowly began to sink in for him.
when you finally reached him, after a walk down the aisle, that felt like an eternity for him, shinjiro gently took your hands into his own. he wanted to kiss you, right then and there, but he knew he couldn't. so he had to settle for a small touch.
“you look absolutely beautiful…” shinjiro whispered, leaning in slightly, so only you could hear him.
though before you could answer, the voice of the registrar snapped shinjiro out of his little world, where you and him were the only ones to exist:
“we'll now be hearing some words from the bride and groom!”
shinjiro and you exchanged a short look, before you smiled and nodded, silently letting your soon-to-be husband know that you'd start.
“from the moment i saw you, i knew you were the one for me.” you began, with a little grin resting on your lips. “i've had a crush on you ever since you moved into the dorms with us, back in high school. i always knew that you weren't as bad of a guy as you wanted people to think you are. you've had a soft side, that i'm very grateful you showed to me over time…”
shinjiro still held onto your hands as you spoke, gently giving them a reaffirming squeeze, before you continued your little speech.
“i've been with you for years now and i always knew that one day, i wanted to marry you. but the moment it really sunk in for me was when i woke up one morning and you weren't in bed with me. you had went into the kitchen, to make some breakfast, but there was a small moment that i panicked. and i realized then that i want your face to be the first thing to see when i wake up in the morning…”
you smiled fondly at shinjiro, as you concluded your speech. there was a moment of silence, in which shinjiro took a deep breath, squeezing your hand once more, before it was his time to speak.
“you were never… supposed to become so important to me…” shinjiro started, already having a few people in the audience, including akihiko, chuckle. “i've always tried to stay away from you, because i knew that once i let you into my life, i couldn't live another day without you. but you were persistent to get to know me and become someone special to me. and as everyone can see, you succeeded!”
you smiled amused, as shinjiro continued his speech, his voice a little shaky, with the next sentences being particularly hard for him.
“even when things weren't easy for me, you stuck around. you were there during my darkest moments and loved me despite them. when i couldn't love myself, you loved me enough for both of us. your love saved me and if it wasn't for your love and kindness, i don't think i would've allowed myself to ever be happy.”
shinjiro had rehearsed that part so often, always trying not to cry. but now as he stood in front of you, your kind eyes meeting his, it was hard to hold back tears. and as you reached out against wipe them away gently, he leaned his head into your hand, a small smile hushing over his lips.
“you've always been my better half. i wouldn't be where i am without you. i wouldn't be without you.” shinjiro paused. “i can't imagine a life without you anymore. and i'll work every day, to become a man worthy of your love.”
“you're worthy of love already, shinji…” you whispered, both of your eyes teary already. there was a moment of silence, before it became clear the speech was over and the registrar spoke up again.
“it's time for the vows then.” he spoke, as akihiko pulled out the rings and handed them to the two of you, with pride on his face.
“i take you, shinjiro aragaki, to be my husband. i promise that i'll love and support you for the rest of our lives. through good and bad times, i vow to be there for you. and when you can't find the strength to love yourself, i'll love you enough for both of us. ‘til death do us apart.”
as you finished your vows, you took shinjiro's hand into your own, to gently place the ring on his finger. when you looked up at him again, you could already see him close to tears again, before he quickly got to his own vows.
“i, shinjiro aragaki, take you to be my wife. i promise that i'll love and support you for the rest of our lives. through good and bad times, i'll be there for you. i vow to cherish and protect you, to show my love for you in everything that i do and to become the best person i can be for you. ‘til death do us apart.”
shinjiro slipped the ring onto your finger as well, longing to finally finish the ceremony, so he could kiss you and officially call you his wife. with an eager look, he glanced at the registrar, who nodded quietly and smiled, before he spoke:
“you may now kiss the bride.”
and shinjiro didn't hesitate for even a second, pulling you into his arms and finally kissing his wife, something he had dreamed of doing for so long now.
around him, the people clapped and cheered and shinjiro could even faintly hear akihiko congratulate him. but he only had eyes for you. for just this moment, you were his entire world and shinjiro only pulled away from your lips again, when he absolutely had to, desperate for air.
“i love you, shinji” you softly whispered, as you caressed your husband’s cheek.
“i love you too, miss aragaki.”

A Tall Manager -
Some teams and how they would be with a tall (betwen 175 to 180cm) beautiful manager.
The teams include: Karasuno, Aoba Johsai/Seijoh, Shiratorizawa and Fukurodani.
Note: This is another random idea i had and had a beautiful, amazing friend choose the teams for me :)) this was written at 3am and its rushed, I'm sorry.
Might have some grammatical mistakes or mispellings, sorry for those- LONG POST!
Pronouns: You, implied as female.
Karasuno (Height: 177cm) -
You're a 1st year, in Class 5.
Which also means you share a class with the one and only, Yachi Hitoka.
You both first talk was due to a project you two needed to do together and she was utterly scared about your height.
But you quickly surprised her with a friendly nature, almost like an older sister. Yachi grew close to you rather fast.
So it was no surprise when she asked you to come with her to the school gym, after class.
"Hum? Why, are you going to train for something?"
"NO, I TOLD A BEAUTY THAT I WOULD JOIN HER CLUB ACCIDENTALLY AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, PLEASE (Y/N)!"
"A beauty? what..."
Despite that, you decided to follow her anyways.
Arriving at the gym, it was clear both you and Yachi gained the attention of almost all boys in the gym, which was somewhat understandable, since we have this 149cm cute girl and 177cm pretty girl.
Kiyoko was the first to walk towards you both, greeting Yachi before going to you with a friendly welcoming and asking if you were to join as a third manager. Now you understand how Yachi couldn't say no.
Daichi, Suga and Asahi were the next to introduce. They all were really sweet to you, although Suga were jokingly disappointed at you being taller than him while being a 1st year, which made you laugh a bit.
Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita were the next ones, all also very kind, but in a more quieter way. Kinoshite also joked a bit, asking what you did to get so tall, since you were taller than him. His only answer was a slap at the back of his head by Ennoshita.
Nishinoya and Tanaka, were... something else. When you first introduced yourself, they were both dead silent, almost as stones statues, that also scared the other 2nd years, before tears appeared in their eyes. They were just happy of having 3 different managers. You could also hear Tanaka commenting something about "School's Beauty" and "Nekoma", but you weren't too sure.
Hinata and Yamaguchi were both stunned by you, a small blush in their faces while you looked at both of them with a bright smile. Hinata started jumping up and down, greeting you and commenting about your height in a non-malicious way, to which you tried to answer truthfully. As for Yamaguchi, he let out a small compliment, shocking himself, but your only response was a compliment about his freckles.
Tsukishima and Kageyama were... Indifferent. Of course, Kageyama was surprised about your height for some time since you were almost his height, but it quickly drew away. Tsukishima knew about you, since you were in a College Prep Class as well, so he somewhat respected you, but he really didn't care about your height or anything.
After that day, you were now officially a Manager for the Crows. And, even though you were almost the same height or taller than most of them, they were still protective of you, just like they were towards the other 2 managers.
But, to be honest, you wouldn't have it any other way.
Aoba Johsai/Seijoh (Height: 179cm) -
You were a 2nd Year, in Class 6.
You sit right beside the sweet Libero for the Volleyball Team, Shinji Watari.
He was pretty surprised about your height, he wasn't short in anyway, being 171cm, but he could feel shorter beside your 179cm self.
You both were "seatmates" since the first day of 2nd year, and just clicked as friends.
After the volleyball team's practice match against Karasuno, Shinji constantly heard his captain commenting something about Karasuno's Manager and Seijoh's Lack of one.
So, one day, while both of you were quietly eating during lunch, he asked you the infamous question;
"(Y/N)-chan, do you have a club yet?"
"Hum? No, my last club was full this time."
"Would you like to join our club as a manager?"
To say you were surprised was an understatement, but you still agreed about it.
After school, you found yourself a bit nervous, you knew their volleyball team was strong and a powerhouse, so a small wave of anxiety filled you but Shinji was quick to calm down your nerves.
Arriving at the Gym, you took quick notice or the spacious place and all the players around, who seemed to be doing their own things.
The coaches already knew why you were there for, so he called out all of his team players, who were quick to notice the pretty girl standing besides their Libero.
The Third Years all had different reactions, and it kinda shocked you: Oikawa was the first one, greeting you with a sweet smile and also a wink, that took you by surprise, but a ball on his head was enough to make him drop the "flirtatious boy" act. Iwaizumi was the next one, the one who gave you a proper welcoming, glaring down at his captain. Matsukawa and Hanamaki, however, instead of introducing themselves first, their first reaction was compare you and the Ace height, while holding a bit of laugh, this making Iwaizumi angry and you a bit surprised.
Yahaba was another one who tried to flirt, but just looking at your sweet smile was enough to make the boy weak and stutter a bit before recovering his posture.
Kyotani completely ignored you, at first, but was forced by a certain Setter (read: Yahaba) to be kind and introduce himself. However, instead of the introduction, his first reaction was to ask how did you get this tall, boy was genuinely curious. Also, you were 0.2cm taller than him, he was insistent to know the "truth".
The First Year also had unique reactions: While Kindaichi was bit red on his face while staring at you, Kunimi were just staring uninterested and kinda tired from all his training, that didn't stop him from being kind to you when you first introduced yourself.
Needless to say, they all accepted you pretty fast as they first manager. Iwaizumi was quick to teach you how to throw a ball at your captain's head. Matsukawa and Hanamaki were also quick to put you in their group chat, where they would post random memes.
Now its a routine for you, Shinji and the other two 2nd years to have lunch together.
Also, the next time Seijoh went against Karasuno, Oikawa was fast to brag about you, as their manager, to his precious kouhai, who was utterly confused about the situation.
Shiratorizawa (Height: 175cm) -
You were a 2nd year, in class 5.
Now this one is a bit different, you and Taichi were close friends before High School, meeting each other in middle school and it kinda just clicked as best friends.
This one, instead of Taichi calling you, you were the one to initiate the conversation. The main problem was the coach, who highly believed you would be a distraction for the boys.
It took some while to convince the coach, to even have the thought of giving you a chance, but seeing how some of them were alreayd distracting themselves with filling bottles and other stuff, instead of training was enough to make him agree.
So, one day, after school you found yourself standing on the doors, staring a bit dreamily around the gym and noticing the team players.
Look, you aren't short in the slightest, but being around this team makes you feel tiny. Their shortest members are around 174cm, for god's sake.
Taichi was the first one to notice you, jogging, mid training, to talk to you, and this quickly caught the attention of his teammates.
"Could this be? Taichi's girlfriend?~"
"Tendou, I don't think we should be meddling with our kouhai's love life."
"Are you telling me you aren't also curious Semi-Semi?"
"..."
Be glad the Coach was busy that time.
Anyway, while the third years talked like you weren't there, Taichi was quick to introduce you to his teammates.
First person you met was Goshiki, he seemed a bit nervous and serious around you, but still did a fast introduction and talking about how he was going to be Shiratorizawa's Next Ace, to which you just smiled brightly and agreed with him. Kai and Yusho, the next ones, were a bit in the back, but you still greeted both of them in a friendly manner, making a small blue appear at their face.
Shirabu, seemed a bit annoyed since you were 0.2cm taller than him, but was quickly subdued since you were really friendly to him. He seemed indifferent, but having someone sweet yet not overwhelming was good for his soul.
Then, you get the 3rd years. Hayato was the first upperclasmen to greet you, making a small joke about you being taller to him, which made you giggle a bit. Reon were also really sweet with you and promised to help you around the gym whenever needed, although you couldn't take his offer.
Semi was a bit more quiet about it, but he was glad to have a manager to help with certain 'trivial' things, since he was one of the main 'workers' there. If you like music, he would be quick to recommend multiple songs for your playlist.
Tendou was the sweetest one, instead of just a normal greeting, he would go directly for a quick hug; If you were uncomfortable with the situation, he would be quick to break from the hug and apologize, giving a proper introduction. If you were to return his hug, you are now officially adopted by him, that's it.
Ushijima was a bit more complicated. While he was staring you down, he introduced himself and welcoming you to the team officially. He seemed a bit blunt, but you were quick to notice that this wasn't in a malicious way. So you took his encouragement and tips to heart whenever doing your managerial work.
In all fairness, this team would act like they didn't need a manager first but with you there, their tactics were more calculated and they stuff was more organized, so they were pretty happy with you there.
Also, when you first met Oikawa, he was exteemely annoyed at the fact that Shiratorizawa had a manager before him. Ushijima was quick to throw his famous infamous catchphrase, annoying the setter even more.
Fukurodani (Height: 180cm) -
You are a first year, but this time, you didn't share class with anyone else on the team.
You trial as Manager was one of an accident.
You were walking around the schoolz trying to evade as many people as possible, you accidentally bumped into one of the volleyball managers, who seemed to be in a hurry, with you both falling to the ground.
Before you could even say anything, she quickly got up and apologize, picking up some papers she scattered around and then running away. What she failed to notice was one last paper laying beside you.
"Volleyball Trial Manager Sheet".
While in class now, you stared at the paper, a bit curious about it. You knew the volleyball team had alreayd 2 managers, so they wouldn't really need another one right? But you also remembered that they were both 3rd years and this was their last year, what if the team doesn't have another manager?
These thought plagued in your mind for the entire day and took one of your parents to convince you to finally join it.
The next day, you decided to join during morning practice, rapidly noticing they were in a rally, so you just stayed at the door, trying not to disturb the team. But a hand on your shoulder made you turn around, noticing the Coach with a small smile.
He then entered the gym, clapling to get his students attention, which was a success but their attention was fast towards you. You introduced yourself kinda nervous about the sittuation but still holding your place.
Yukie and Kaori were the first to go to you. They were really happy to have another manager with them, and kept complimenting your height, which made you a bit bashed.
The first years were a bit in shock about your height. Anahori was a bit intimated but curious, but he also hold onto his comments to himself, scared that it could offend you in any way, to which you quickly denied, saying you didn't mind. Onaga was also surprised, he didn't have to look down too much to talk to you and that was a relief for his neck. He was also happy you didn't mess his name like his classmates.
Komi and Konoha were a bit in shock, their new manager was taller than them in unique levels, but they were really gentle with their greetings even joking a bit about stealing your height to play.
Sarukui was one of the calm ones, he was kinda surprised about looking at you in the eyes without bending his neck, but nonetheless he was happy about having another manager happy. He was also grateful about you not commenting on his mouth unnecessarily, that has happened way too much.
Washio was somewhat indifferent about it. He was surprised a bit but didn't have anything to comment much, since he knew height was something uncontrollable. As being a manager, he was glad to see the team would have someone trustworthy as their manager for two more years when the other 2 graduates.
Now, here comes the complicated part. Bokuto for you was an enigma, he was blunt about his question and commentaries about your height, but you knew there was no ill intent in his words. But after it cooled down, he was fast to ask you about volleyball and what you knew.
When you first found out about his Emo Modd, you were taken aback, since how could someone lively be so quiet?
Akasshi, the sweet boy he is, thanked you a lot almost daily, since your praises were quick to take Bokuto out of his Emo Mode, thus taking a lot of stress out of him. He was also the most helpful one, he would always take the boxes from you hand, yadda, yadda.
Overall, Fukurodani were pretty shocked about your height but these sweet boys were nothing but sweet.
Also, Bokuto bragged about you being a Manager to his cat friend, who at first thought was a lie but was quickly shut off by your tall stature cheering for Bokuto.

Two Weeks of Hitsuhina 2024 - Day 7: Your Courageous Back / This Light I See
Rating: K/General with mild themes and mentions of injuries.
Setting: end of the Thousand Year Blood War arc.
Synopsis: In the immediate aftermath of Yhwach’s defeat, Momo reflects on Toshiro's strength and the lengths he's gone to to obtain it.
AN: I decided to listen to both This Light I See and Momoiro no Hana to see if either gave me an idea for this day, but in the end, they both inspired me, so I’m writing for both themes. And would you look, it’s yet another ‘Momo reacts to Toshiro’s Completed Form’ fic! How original XD In this case, I wanted to take it in a slightly unexpected direction.
This one ended up being a bit of a mess, but hopefully it's an enjoyable one!
__________________________________
The air is still and silent, but thick with the smell of broken concrete. This isn't what makes Momo raise her head and focus on it. A thrum runs through it, one she and most Shinigami only experience when a battle has come to an end. One that said the battle was over. Sometimes, especially in times like this, that sense can be wrong, that there's another threat lurking beneath that needs to be dealt with.
She's drawn away by the faint coppery scent of dried blood.
She glances at her unconscious captain, checking one of his wounds hadn’t reopened in the last twenty minutes. The fresh bandages she’d wrapped around him are still clean. She brushes the hair that’d fallen across his face to make sure the gash on his forehead and the cut on his cheek hasn’t opened either. It’s of little comfort to discover no blood. She wishes he were awake.
Still, it could be far worse for the two of them. Momo grimaces thinking about the others buried beneath the debris. She can sense their reiatsu, all faint and flickering from injuries.
She turns her gaze to Toshiro. She has to stop herself from doing another double take at the sight of him. He stands a short distance away, back turned, Hyoruinmaru drawn at his side, and somehow a fully grown adult.
She bites the inside of her cheek remembering her initial reaction, how she’d gaped at him after he’d landed in front of her and tried to instruct her move further from the battlefield. The giant Quincy was distracted by Byakuya, and she was caught off guard by the sudden new appearance of his childhood friend; so much so she kept staring at him as he led her to safety and she nearly dropped her captain while carrying him away.
The building he’d taken her to had one side completely caved in while a lone wall remained, facing the battle taking place in the far distance. Until Toshiro had returned, she’d gone between looking around the wall to watch the battle from here and keeping her captain propped up against the wall to continue tending to his injuries.
“Kuchiki is searching the area,” Toshiro had informed her. “He knows I’m here, he’ll come to us when he’s confirmed there’s no further threats.”
“You didn’t want to check with him?” she’d asked. In hindsight, she wonders if she'd sounded ungrateful; it certainly hadn't been her intention.
He hadn’t answered right away. “I checked the area on my way here, it was safe. Aside from you, Kuchiki, and I, there’s no active Shinigami in the immediate area.” He’d gestured to Shinji. “How’s Hirako?”
“He’s all right, I’m almost done healing him.”
He’d turned away. “Keep going then. I’ll keep watch.”
And that’s how it’s been for the past hour. Not another word has been spoken since, and she’d wrapped the last bandage around her captain's arm twenty minutes ago. In all that time she’d wanted ask how he came to be like this, but she’d held back.
She takes stock of herself. The weariness and razor-edged anxiety she knows comes from being in quiet battlefield. The dread in the pit of her stomach is from the war itself, that their enemies had powers beyond anyone’s imagination, and that they were leaving the fate of all the worlds to a Human far too young to be in a battle like this.
The daring hope and meagre relief -- hampered by the other emotions and sensation running through her -- that clamber through her chest is from Toshiro’s survival against the giant Quincy, but it’s paired up with an uneasiness. She wants to chalk it up to his sudden change in appearance – it had been jarring afterall to see him suddenly not look as she’s always known him – but it feels like only a part of the reason.
She checks her captain over one last time before standing up. She winces at the stiffness in her leg, taking a moment to stretch them. Toshiro turns his head a fraction, a corner of his lips and his lashes coming into view. After a beat, he returns his gaze to straight ahead.
Perhaps that’s what bothers her. He hasn’t said a word or looked her way for the past hour. This war might still be going on in other parts of the palace, and there might be battle still to come. They both need to be vigilant until they see or hear otherwise.
Yet, she’s still bothered by his silence and refusal to away from what’s ahead.
Her footsteps scrap along the ground, coming over small bits of rubble and the remains of the tiled floor. He doesn’t give any indication that he’s aware of her approach. Funny, it’s usually him who sneaks up on her.
“Captain Hitsugaya,” she tries, but still he doesn’t move. “Is everything all right?” He must be in deep thought; he has no other reason to not look her way.
The closer she gets, the more he fills her view. There's something about his stance. It’s strong, solid, a typical posture for any alert Shinigami. The uniform he wears is mostly ruined. She notices the patches of dirt and rips in the white fabric and black fur lining. The ice trimming on the ends and encasing his shoulders, forearms, and shins glimmers in the light. Hyourinmaru shines, and she shudders at the freezing waves emanating off the blade and brushing over her.
His back is straight, strong, not a hint of weariness or weakness from injuries. His shoulders at wide, and she suspects they would still look that way even without the ice that encases them.
It all inspires a her a strange confidence - no, reassurance – within her. He’s like a sentinel, watching out for her and Shinji, ready to eliminate any threat that comes their way. This is the strongest she's ever seen him, and judging from how his reiatsu dispurses across the area like a cold wind, it might even be close to his full potential as a Shinigami. Whatever he had done to become like this, she never thought anything would lead to him achieving the milestones of Shinigami before he even graduated, let alone whatever made him turn into an adult.
Caught up in these thoughts, she reaches out and touches a hand to his back. Before he reacts, the jolt of cold racing up her arm makes her realise what she’s done. She expects him to startle and spin around to confront her. She has an apology ready on her lips, but not an explanation.
She blinks when none of that happens. His posture stiffens and he lets out a surprised grunt, even lifts Hyourinmaru a fraction, but he otherwise remains motionless.
“What’re you doing?” he asks without looking back. His bewilderment is evident in his tone, but there’s also a tightness in his voice.
She flinches her hand away, even locking her opposite one around it and bringing it to her chest for good measure. “I, uh – I’m sorry! I don’t know why I did that.”
“…You don’t know why you did it?”
How lame, she thinks. “No, I…”
His head lowers, then turns, enough for her to see his eyes over his shoulder through his bangs. “I wouldn’t do that again without saying something. While I’m like this, I can control what I freeze if it touches me. It might slip if it’s something unexpected.”
That explains the sudden cold. She thinks to step around and speak to him face to face, but again she doesn’t. She stands behind him, his shadow casting off to the side, beside her. “I called out but you obviously didn’t hear me.”
He says nothing, which only makes her the furrow in her brow deepen.
“What is this? Why are you like this?” she finally asks.
He inclines his head away. “It’s Hyourinmaru’s Completed Form, an extension of my bankai.”
She gasps. “You mean this is the next stage of it?”
“Something like that.” He raises Hyourinmaru out to the side, his arm at the level of his shoulder. “I couldn’t fully access Hyourinmaru’s abilities as I am, so I needed to age up into this. form”
A pang runs through her heart. “What?”
His arm slackens, half bringing the blade back to his side. “It’s not permanent, if you’re worried about that.”
“Oh, no, that’s not – even if it were, we’d --” She shakes her head. “I just can’t believe something like this is possible, that’s all." She takes him in from head to toe again. To think something like this could come from Hyourinmaru. "How did you, uh, discover it?"
“It's a result of my training in the caves.”
She remembers those days. After they’d reconciled, she’d learned about his excursions to the caves in the Rukongai, even came to visit him a few times with snacks for him. He never really gave a reason for why he was so focused on training. A Shinigami is expected to train often to maintain or improve on their skills, but she always felt his was excessive during that time.
“It took a lot,” he continues. “To tell you the truth, I don't like it. It feels..." He jerks his head up. "But it’s proven to be essential in this fight. Still, that Quincy showed me I still have much to learn.” His grip on his zanpakuto tightens. “ I’ll get better, until it’s truly perfected.”
Another pang runs through her. This time it shows on her face too. She wonders if he saw her he’d take his words back. “Captain Hirako made me realise everyone has their limits, and that’s okay. We should always aim to get stronger, but there comes a point where we can't go any further."
"I'm not at my limit," he says, adamant. "I know I can still get stronger. Just watch me."
She cringes. Her words were meant to to be a reassurance, but it seems to have had the opposite effect. She lets out a quiet, tremulous sigh. "But you've always been strong, Hitsugaya-kun."
He says nothing. He needs to hear more.
Slowly, her hand returns. Just as she expects, there’s no cold racing up her arm. Something about that relaxes her, makes her lower her guard and lean forward until her forehead presses into his back as well. He doesn't tell her off, doesn't even make a sound.
“You’ve always had to carry so much on your shoulders," she says. "Did you become this strong to carry it all?”
She feels through his back before she hears the hitch of breath. “What’re you saying?”
“Even before you became an unseated officer, you had so much put on to you," she says. "You achieved milestones that most Shinigami don't achieve until they're nearly a century into the role. Some don't even achieve Shikai before their service comes to an end. And there you were, a child with bankai before you were even an unseated officer." She lets out a huff. "It's incredible, you're once in a generation really...but it must have come with a lot, right?"
Still he says nothing, but senses something change in him. It's in the longer breaths in and out, and how his free hand curls into a loose fist.
She doesn't understand why she's bringing this up now of all times. It comes pouring out of her, locked away for decades. She'd watched him afar, seeing him grow and becoming more powerful as the years went on. Many senior figures had high expectations of him, and the whispers among many Shinigami spoke of him as a prodigy, some even going as far as to claim he was a reincarnation of a legendary heavenly guardian that was born into the Soul Society every few centuries.
She hadn't stopped to think about the effect such things would have on him until after Aizen's betrayal. He was always up to the task, to show others he was indeed a prodigy and giving more weight to the reincarnation myth with every milestone he achieved, but that didn't mean he needed to That didn't mean it affected him in other ways. Did it make him feel he needed to be a sentinel for her and the others? To always put himself in harms way to protect everyone?
She thinks back on his training. Why had he trained? She always had her own ideas, but maybe one of them was true. The one where she thought he didn't think he was strong enough. Perhaps some would say he wasn't, but it's not the sort of strength he needs. The one he did need he already has. It's the one that she wished more would recognise in him.
"You’ve been strong for so long," she says softly. "It’s okay to rely on me and others too."
“What?” His head comes over his shoulder. “I know I can. Don't discount your own strength.”
She can’t help but smile. “I know that too, but you often try to do these sort of things by yourself. You don’t want to burden anyone else or you fear they’ll get hurt.” Her grip on on his jacket tightens. “If an enemy shows up, we can fight them together. If you sensed it before too, and the battle here is really over, then...you can rest. You don't have to be like this anymore. I don’t need you to protect Captain Hirako and I right now."
She frowns at the shudder that runs through him. She lists her head upwards, but his face is gone, head bowed. Is he overcome? “Hitsugaya-kun?”
He murmurs something, and she must have misheard. "What is it?"
His shoulder stiffen, as if realising he said something he wasn't meant to. “I’m fine, just…tired.” The hoarseness of his voice says otherwise.
She listens to his heartbeat through his back while be collects himself. Then, to her surprise, he begins to turn. She quickly leans back and comes face to face with him. She would’ve smiled and perhaps even joked she’s not used to having to crane her neck to speak with him, but his gaze stops her short.
It's soft, and his usual frown his gone, replaced by a pained pinch in his brow. His gaze his soft, warm even. She's never seen him so vulnerable, it makes her want to envelope him in a hug. She resist the urge, settling for holding his free hand instead. The gesture makes him swallow and close his eyes.
She isn't blind; he's quite handsome like this. It's him, years into the future in a strange way. She can even feel a faint heat beneath her cheeks with how he gazes at her with such a face. But it's not him as he is now.
She smiles. "I'm here."
That makes him open his eyes again. His lips part, about to speak, when the reiatsu comes to both of their senses. Toshiro snaps to attention, and Momo looks back him. In the far distance, a figure sprints and jumps over the ruins.
"It's Captain Kuchiki," she says.
When she looks back to Toshiro, that softened look is mostly gone. There's remnants of it in his eyes, like the glowing embers of a dying campfire.
"Thank you, Hinamori," he says hoarsely, before turning away from her. Her smile remains, albeit a bit diminished. She'd hoped to speak with him more, to hear what he had to sya just now. Maybe he'll tell her later.
For now, watching him take several steps ahead to meeting Byakuya, she remembers what she thought he's murmured earlier. She keeps telling herself she misheard, and yet, her heart hopes for the opposite.
It's always been for you.

Akihiko returns to the lounge, hairbrush and painkillers in hand, to find that Shinji has not put the hat back on (it had been a fifty-fifty shot whether Shinji would listen or if he’d feel compelled to be a contrary ass on principle). He dozed off in the handful of minutes Akihiko had been upstairs, still sitting up with his cheek propped against his fist.
From this vantage point, the light from the television makes him look monochrome, like a character from one of those old ‘classic’ films Shinji and Mitsuru enjoy but that had never been of much interest to Akihiko.
Shinji shifts and grimaces in his half-slumber, and Akihiko realizes with a start that he’s been standing in the same place just looking at Shinji for several minutes now. Shaking his head at himself, he makes a detour to the kitchen before returning to Shinji’s side and nudging him awake. He passes over the pills and the bottle of water he’d grabbed from the fridge, watching as Shinji carefully swallows them one at a time and steadfastly ignoring the way Shinji glowers at him for his (as Shinji would put it) fussing.
If the TV light was nostalgic, then the feeling that settles over Akihiko’s shoulders as he starts pulling the brush through Shinji’s hair is– he doesn’t quite have the words for it. He can almost feel the smaller body he used to inhabit superimposed over him, going through the exact same motions. He can almost, almost feel an even smaller body warm against his back– Miki leaning the entirety of her negligible weight on him, silently demanding to be given a turn with the brush.
It’s funny– he didn’t feel this way when he’d brushed Shinji’s hair just a couple of months ago. That moment in September feels as far away right now as any of his memories of Miki. What has him feeling so unmoored from the present, he wonders? Maybe it’s the yawning uncertainty of their future after tonight. Maybe he’s just exhausted.
Most likely it’s both.
Shinji’s hair is clean, but it’s even more of a mess than Akihiko had realized, so it’s slow going. He tries not to tug too aggressively through the snarl, even though Shinji’s never been especially tender headed.
As he works, he watches the slope of Shinji’s shoulders deepen, his spine bowing loosely forward as he begins, once again, to drift off.
Until Akihiko’s phone buzzes and Shinji nearly leaps out of his skin.
“That Kirijo?” Instantly alert, he asks the question before Akihiko can get the phone out of his pocket, let alone read the message.
Akihiko frowns at the screen. It isn’t Mitsuru. It’s not even anything worth reading.
“Spam. I guess that’s what I get for ordering from that shady television program.”
“Yeah it is.”
Akihiko scoffs like he can only hear the derision in Shinji’s voice and not the antsy concern hidden underneath. Then he sighs, because who are either of them fooling. He sets the phone aside on the coffee table and picks the brush back up. “I’ll tell you as soon as I hear from her.”
“...I’ve never seen her like that,” Shinji murmurs after a long pause. He must have come to the same conclusion Akihiko had, because he’s no longer bothering to pretend he’s not worried.
Akihiko closes his eyes briefly, and tries to will away the memory of her despair. “I haven’t either. The only time– the closest I ever saw was…”
“That night, right?” Shinji doesn’t need to spell out which night he means.
“She kept her head together pretty well until the next day, actually.” Akihiko works the brush’s bristles into a particularly dense tangle, hoping to start teasing it apart from the center outward. “It was when, um. When they told us just how bad it was. That you might not ever wake up.”
Shinji whips around to look at him so abruptly that the brush, still embedded in the knot he’d been working on, is yanked right out of Akihiko’s grip.
…So maybe Shinji should have spelled himself out, since evidently they weren’t as on the same page as they’d thought. But even so– why does Shinji look this surprised?
“Are you serious?”
Akihiko stops mid-reach for the brush and stares. Is he serious?
“Shinji, why would I lie about that?”
Shinji doesn’t have an answer, apparently.
Does he really think like that? Does the idea that Mitsuru would fear for him, that the prospect of losing him would be as devastating to her as it is to Akihiko, really seem so far-fetched to him?
The fact that Shinji sees so little of his own worth has long been a point of confused frustration for Akihiko– but to project that disregard onto Mitsuru? A hard, cold weight settles in Akihiko’s chest that he can’t reconcile as being either anger or sorrow.
Is it because Mitsuru hadn’t chased him all around Port Island the way Akihiko had? Shinji should know better than that, should know that simply isn’t how Mitsuru does things.
How should he explain this? He feels like he shouldn’t have to, but he knows from experience that getting Shinji to understand is a better use of his time than just fuming over the fact that he doesn’t get it on his own.
“I– I don’t know if she’d ever tell you this herself… She might not want me to tell you either, but… I think you deserve to know.” Akihiko speaks slowly, pauses often, his hands stilling between brushstrokes as he weighs out his words. “She always wanted to reach out to you like I did after you left. But– I think she was nervous. She didn’t know if you’d even want to talk to her, or see her.”
“…Back then, I prob’ly wouldn’t have wanted to see her, no. I already had you annoying me every chance you got. Last thing I needed was twice as much of that crap.”
Akihiko snorts softly. Shinji is lying through his teeth, and he’s not even making a token effort to pretend otherwise. But Akihiko doesn’t call him out on it. “Well. The point I’m making is: she missed you. A lot.” He gives Shinji’s good shoulder a gentle prod. “Asshole.”
“If you say so.” Shinji’s tone is doubtful, dismissive. The drop of good humor that Akihiko had managed to reclaim evaporates in an instant. The lump in his chest is definitely mostly anger now.
“Why is that so hard for you to believe?” He tries to make the question sound like a joke, but his failure is downright miserable. Bitterness and sadness and even a little disappointment (which Shinji will take offense to most of all, he’s sure) color his tone unmistakably. “She cares about you. She cares about you, Shinji. You know that, right?”
Silence and a subtle extra tension throughout Shinji’s frame are the only answers he receives.
Akihiko grits his teeth. “If she didn’t care, why would she visit you in the hospital whenever she had time? Or go out of her way to make the time, even when you weren’t awake yet? Why would she help you with your makeup work?”
“‘Cause she’s nosy and always needs to butt in when people suck at school.”
Akihiko rolls his eyes. “Yeah, because the Student Council President has that kind of free time to tutor someone whenever they ask. Or don’t ask, in your case. She helps random people catch up on two semesters of school work all the time. Do you know how stupid you sound right now?”
“You sure seem happy to tell me.”
“Shinji, would she have cried on you if she didn’t like you even a little? If she didn’t trust you?”
“I was the only person in arms’ reach, Aki.”
“Oh my god.” Aki throws his hands up in surrender. The brush once again stays trapped in Shinji’s hair. “You’re impossible.”
“I don’t wanna hear that from you of all people.”
Akihiko exhales harshly through his nose, and the two of them lapse into terse silence for a while. He returns to his work with the brush, measuring out the strokes with patience and deliberation, keeping them gentle and even. He tries to match his breathing to that same rhythm and settle his churning thoughts.
He only has any real luck with the breathing exercises.
“I’m not–” Shinji eventually mutters. “It’s not like I’m tryin’ to accuse her of not caring or anything like that. I just…don’t get it.”
“Shinji…”
“Aki I am beggin’ you– can we talk about literally anything else? Please?”
Akihiko sighs. If Shinji’s breaking out the social niceties with him, he knows it’s serious. “Let me say one more thing and then I’ll drop it, I swear.”
Shinji doesn’t answer, and Akihiko knows that not being rebuffed is as close to being given permission as he’s going to get. “Answer me this: if it’d been Junpei closest to her, do you really think Mitsuru would’ve done what she did with you?” No offense to Junpei of course.
“...Can’t really picture anyone crying on Junpei’s shoulder, to be honest.”
It’s a weak joke and an even weaker deflection. For all intents and purposes, Shinji is conceding his point, and Akihiko could just let it lie. Maybe he even should. For some reason he can’t.
“If it was Arisato, then? Or Takeba, or Yamagishi?”
“Okay Aki, I get it.”
Akihiko really isn’t sure if he does, but he drops the subject like he should have three questions ago.
Silence returns, and Akihiko continues to methodically work through the disorder. The one-two punch of adrenaline from the false alarm text message and their argument that had reanimated Shinji begins to ebb, and Shinji ebbs along with it. He droops degree by degree, his breath slowing down and deepening.
Even once Akihiko has undone all of the knots he can find and the brush glides smooth and uninterrupted, he keeps running it through until he’s absolutely certain that Shinji is well and truly asleep and not just drifting again.
He sets the brush aside and eases Shinji down into a recline. At the last second he realizes that there’s nothing to support Shinji’s head– his coat might work as a makeshift pillow, but he’d have to fold it first and he doesn’t think he can prop Shinji back upright without waking him. As a temporary measure, Akihiko ends up resting Shinji’s head on his leg.
He folds up the coat as planned, but once that’s done, it sits perched on his other knee, forgotten.
“I really don’t get it, you know?” Akihiko murmurs, quietly enough that even a light sleeper like Shinji wouldn’t be woken by it. “I don’t understand how you can’t see how much you matter to people. To me, to Mitsuru… Everyone else, too.”
With a last sigh, Akihiko gently sweeps hair from Shinji’s forehead. “What am I going to do with you?”
There isn’t so much as a flutter of his eyelids in response. His expression is placid, serene. His features are at once softened by sleep and sharpened by the light from the television– the tension he habitually carries in his brow and the corners of his mouth has been, for the moment, smoothed away; while shadow boldly outlines his cheekbone, the hard edge of his jaw, the ridge of his nose.
The effect is striking. The effect is…attractive. Shinji is, even without the compelling lighting. Akihiko is reminded once again of those old black and white movies, or the illustrations in Miki’s favorite book of fairy tales– the one she’d cajoled him and Shinji into reading to her so often that in the end it had been held together by tape and prayers, and he can remember the pictures with perfect clarity even after all this time.
Shinji wouldn’t look out of place at all in one of those pen-and-ink drawings. Akihiko can picture him there so clearly: not as a prince (which he’d hate the idea of anyway, Akihiko is sure), but perhaps a heroic woodcutter or fisherman. The thought brings a soft smile to Akihiko’s face, but it quickly wilts.
He’s had a long time to mull over what he feels ever since their second awakenings, and his– moment of weakness. He’s had even longer to grapple with what had happened with Mitsuru in July, and what it made him realize. He’d been hoping that the end of the Dark Hour would mean he had time to do something with all of those feelings; or at least figure out what, if anything, he even wanted to do with them.
But acting on any of it just isn’t an option anymore. When it comes to Shinji, the last thing Akihiko wants is to risk disturbing what they already have, or worse– to drive Shinji away again. Not when Akihiko and Mitsuru need him more than ever. And as for Mitsuru…
She has far more important things to worry about. He can’t make himself into yet another of Mitsuru’s problems. He won’t do that to her.
So he’ll hold the same pattern he has been, and he’ll focus on what actually matters.
But…one more moment of weakness won’t hurt, right?
He’s allowed his fingertips to linger at Shinji’s temple, and he allows them now to stray back into his hair, tucking it behind his ear.
And he allows himself, for the very first time, just for right now, to really appreciate how handsome Shinji is. He can go back to pretending he hasn’t noticed tomorrow.
He never does end up moving to the other couch. He falls asleep where he sits, Shinji’s head in his lap and his hair threaded through Akihiko’s fingers.

hii!! can i request the captains x reader where she has small breasts and she's kind of insecure about it
ughhhh yesss, small breast queens come together bc I am right there with you 😭
Jushiro: My man is such a sweetheart and he doesn't care about your breast size. He can start to tell when you're feeling insecure about your breast size when you're staring at them in the mirror, wishing you had bigger breasts so they would fit your shirt better. He'll wrap his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder. He'll whisper about how he loves every inch of your body, while his hands are massaging your breasts.
Shunsui: He knows that you have smaller breasts, but he doesn't care, but he loves you no matter what. Although when you see the other women in the soul society with fuller breasts, it makes you insecure. During intimate times with Shunsui, you start to stray away from him and not really focus on what's going on. You don't let him touch your breasts and then it clicks for him.
He definitely brings it up during an intimate moment which kind of isn't the best time, but whatever. Shunsui will hold eye contact with you and go on a whole rant about how he doesn't care about your breast size. He makes sure to give them lots of love; kisses, touching, squeezing, etc.
Byakuya: It doesn't even notice how small your breasts are when his fingers are kneading into your flesh during intimate moments or when his lips are sucking on your sweet skin. He's such a gentleman so that kind of stuff doesn't matter to him. He doesn't love you for your body.
So when you bring up how you're insecure about your breasts, he'll sit you down, cup your face and explain how he doesn't care about that and he loves you for you, not your body.
Toshiro: this man literally does not care about the size of your breasts and in fact, I think he prefers them to be smaller, but he doesn't really care. I think because Rangiku always accidentally shoves her breasts in Toshiro's face, he likes the size of yours.
He'll comfort you his words, telling you how much he likes them and he prefers them to be small, which makes you feel a little better. Of course, he reassures you that he doesn't care about the size of them, no matter what.
Kenpachi: Legit doesn't notice your breast size. Of course he likes to see them, but he doesn't focus on them all the time. It takes a lot of courage for you to speak up about how you feel since you don't know how Kenny is going to react.
He furrows his eyebrows and literally takes off your shirt, examining the size of your breasts.
"Small, huh? I don't think so. They're perfect," Kenpachi comments with a firm tone. You're stunned by his sweet reaction, but that's probably all you'll get from him tbh.
Shinji: He honestly probably feeds into your insecurity by making some playful comments. He doesn't mean to, but Shinji likes to tease you for literally anything. He can tell when his comments are getting too much when you start to pull away from him.
He pulls you into his lap and cups your face, apologizing and rambling about how sorry he is that he made you feel like that. He promises to never make comments again. At the end, he'll pull up your shirt and cover your breasts in soft kisses.
Mayuri: Hmmmm this one is going to be challenge. He shrugs it off the first few times you tell him that you don't like how small your breasts are. He really sees how much it effects you when you're out together in public, seeing other woman with larger breasts and you cover yours.
Literally forces you to sit down with his hands on your shoulders, staring into your eyes as he explains how you shouldn't be the tiniest bit insecure. Your face is burning hot as he's literally just spilling out how much he loves you and he'll lock you up if you say something degrading about your breasts again.
Kensei: I think that he's so chill that he doesn't even notice how insecure you're starting to become. It's only when you start to push his hands away from your breasts or when you turn his face to the side when he tries to look at them.
At first, he's really confused until you explain that you hate how small your breasts are. He's in disbelief, wondering how you could ever hate a part of yourself that he loves deeply. He makes sure to show his love for your breasts, massaging them and fondling them with gentle hands and love.
Rojuro: My man is soooo goddamn sweet and understanding. He can instantly tell when you're insecure about your breasts. He'll pull you aside and have a chat with you about how you shouldn't be insecure bc he loves you no matter what.
Honestly, he'll probably pull out his guitar and play you a song. It might be a cringy, but deep down it means a lot to you.
Sajin: I mean come on now. He understands you sooo damn well because he's hated who he was forever. He was ashamed to be seen without his face covering, but you make him feel like there's no need to wear it again.
He sympathizes with you sooo deeply and he just holds you in his arms, whispering how much it doesn't matter how small your breasts are and that he likes them anyways. He won't let you go until you feel better.

Sincember Event❄️❄️
Rating: Fluff🍥
Shinji Hirako has a big crush on you.
Ever since he saw you at the induction meeting where you were appointed the new taichou of squad thirteen.
Dare he say it, you may be the only person in existence to make Shinji Hirako feel shy.
He can’t help himself, though; you're just so cute!
The moment you walk into a room, all eyes fall to you.
Stylish, graceful-
Overall ethereal.
How can he ever garner the courage to talk to you?
Well, that was when the other Visoreds came in-
But of course their advice was less than savory, per usual-
“Stop being a pussy and just talk to them.” Love, Kensei
“You should just give up, they'd never entertain an uncouth savage such as yourself.” Rose
“It’s more daring and romantic if you make the first move. Trust me, I've read the books.” Lisa
“You're a lovely person. Just be yourself. “ Hachi
“Just go right up to them and give them a big smooch! That'll surely get you noticed!”
Mashiro, what?
“What did you just say?” Shinji narrowed his already slanted eyes at the greenette.
“I said to kiss them! It'll be cute and show that you really like them!”
“Pretty sure that’s sexual harassment.” Lisa mumbled while thumbing through the pages of her manga.
“Right. I can’t just go up to them and kiss them; they might kick my ass! Then I’ll be the laughing stock of the entire Seireitei!”
“Aren’t you already that, though?” Hiyori finally chimed in, having just rejoined the group after running an errand for Kurotsuchi-taichou.
Shinji scowled at her, but she continued with her thought process,
“They should be coming to the annual Christmas party this Sunday. Make your move then, or just shut up about it altogether.”
“Swear you motherfuckers get on my nerves.” He mumbled underneath his breath.
“Care to repeat that?” Hiyori raised a blonde eyebrow and Lisa’s head snapped around in his direction.
“Nothing. I said I’ll be there.”
—-
Shinji began looking for you immediately upon entering the party.
His lips tilted up into his signature grin when he saw you by the punch bowl conversing animatedly with Shunsui and Nanao.
Just as he was about to approach you, a random shinigami came up and joined in the conversation, tugging incessantly on the sleeve of your top.
‘Ugh! Seriously?! This is not going to work. I have to find a way to get their attention. Think, Shinji, think!’
His earthy-colored eyes scanned the room, searching for some type of opening or distraction.
A mistletoe.
The little green shrub with white berries dusted with white paint to make it look like snow had fallen upon it. A bright red ribbon strung it from the ceiling right above your head.
‘Well, I guess you can’t get any more cliche than that. Lisa is going to have a field day with this.’
Puffing out his chest, Shinji strode forward and began walking towards the table where all the food was set out.
Just as he was merely inches from being able to brush his fingers against your sleeve, something caught around his foot and he went sailing up into the air.
A few sharp gasps of surprise and then loud snickers flooded his ears as he hung mercilessly upside down from the ceiling by his ankle.
No one could have been as surprised as you were, though. You quickly rushed to the blonde’s aid and cupped his face between your soft hands.
“Hirako! Are you alright?!”
Shinji’s cheeks blushed a million shades of pink, but he simply nodded. From this angle, he had a perfect view of your pouty lips and before his overbearing thoughts could stop him, he pressed forward and connected his with yours.
It was quick and a bit rushed due to the swaying caused by his current predicament, but you were slow to pull away, cupping his chin and pulling his mouth back onto yours repeatedly.
A chorus of whoops and cheers finally broke you both out of your little moment and you could see Mashiro, Hiyori, and Lisa standing off to the side with satisfied smirks on their faces.
“Drastic times call for drastic measures.” Hiyori laughed.
