evangelion was just about what happens when you pit an unstoppable force (Asuka's histrionic personality disorder) against an immovable object (Shinji's avoidant personality disorder).
Also aliens and a deeply traumatized homonculus are there.

ESCORT ──── shinji hirako x fem! reader. ib chase atlantic's escort. fluff + mentions of alcohol. wc of 600+
Tumblr media
thinking about captain shinji hirako who would most definitely bribe or pay or do whatever it takes just to have you in the fifth division. he'd be so desperate about it, even go on his knees just to recruit you into the squad that he takes charge of. and for what reason?
the mere sole reason that you miraculously stole the heart of the captain while he came down to shin’o academy to demonstrate kenjutsu for the students. you just so happened to be one of the students that the hirako had to personally teach.
as beautiful as you can be and as bright your smile can shine, it only took a few hours for the blond-haired male to fall under your spell. but you never even put a spell on him in the first place. all you did was breathe, exist, and learn as shinji teaches.
as pathetic as the man can be, he doesn't ever show it. in fact, he does the opposite. he'd go all “oh look. it's the student girl whom i taught that sucks at swordsmanship.” like bro you did not just get on your knees to beg yamamoto to put the ‘student girl’ in your division…
he wants you to work for him and be under his wing, so he watch whatever you do. even better if he's seeing you make such a drastic change and progress ever since your academy days. not that he's a weirdo captain or anything that fancies a student of his, but your ages weren't that much of a difference. in fact, shinji is the one who ended up becoming a captain at such a young and admirable age.
“i can give you love for free, y/n…” shinji said during one messy night where the word sober left his vocabulary. all on his mind are fuzzy images of you.
“trust me, sir, she'd appreciate your love one hundred percent,” a voice said as they took away the bottle of sake in their captain's hands. the man simply looked up at the figure and looked back down, snuggling his drunken face into his arms. “you're kinda... pretty.. not any more beautiful than y/n though.”
“woah sir, thanks for the compliment. i honestly agree too, she's very cute, captain.”
the hirako glared at his subordinate who's helping him get up from the table so he can finally leave the pub with some guidance from someone of his barracks. “you keep her name outta your mouth, pink!”
“it's punk, sir. not pink.”
“shut up. only y/n can tell me what's right or wrong,” shinji's head wobbled just as his division member sighed and draped his long arms around their shoulders. they were oddly smaller than the fifth division captain.
“come on, captain. time to go home. y/n wishes that you return home safely.”
the voice of his subordinate is gentle and soft, so similar to his crush’s voice. he couldn't even tell what is going on right now, but he just lets his subordinate escort him home, not really in the correct state to think of anything else. although, his squad member uttering the name y/n made him all sweets and butterflies on the inside.
after such a night, the man wakes up in a frenzy, struggling to remember whatever happened last night and however in the world he ends up in his soft comfy futon without ever remembering how he got back into his bed.
he stares at a bone china vase for a few good minutes, attempting to search and dig for anything that has been buried by the headache that he currently has. but the more he stared at the reflection of the vase, the more he caught something at the corner of his eyes.
shinji shot his head at the few bags of items that laid beside his futon, a note of instructions on the items written down. he knows this writing. he out of anyone would've recognised this immediately. it belonged to you.
then a flash of memories became visible in his vision.
“THAT WAS Y/N?!?!?”

Hey! I was wondering if you would do a headcanon for the lieutenants and captains for the kind of hugs they give.
Hiiiii!!! Omg, I actually love this idea <3 I'll do another part with the lieutenants in it <3
Tumblr media
Jushiro Ukitake: The calmest, warmest hug to ever exist. He wraps you up in his arms, cradling the back of your head and just comforts you in a way that is out of this world. A hand rubbing up and down the long of your back, his head near your ear, soft, warm breaths hitting your earlobe.
Shunsui Kyoraku: He hugs you in a loving way, but he's a little cheeky and mischievous with it. Strong, muscular arms wrapping around your body and pulling you into his chest. Placing a soft kiss on your forehead as his hand runs down the curve of your back to your ass, squeezing the flesh.
Byakuya Kuchiki: His hugs are like a crispy, chill afternoon. He won't show affection or hug you in the public, but if it’s just the two of you, it's a different story. Arms gently wrapped around your waist, squeezing you every once in a while. His chin resting on top of your head, holding you in such a caring way. It's relaxing and refreshing to have Byakuya holding you.
Kenpachi Zaraki: At first, his hugs at first are like a porcupines needles, but then they are smooth like the back of a whale, so strong and powerful, but yet, calming and not overwhelming. He knows his strength, so he knows how tight to hold you. It's comforting how tight he can hold you and he runs his hand over your head, gripping the back of your neck. He complains when you ask for a hug, but it makes him the happiest man in the world.
Shinji Hirako: He's super greedy with it comes to hugging. He'll squeeze you until you can't breath and are squirming against his body, trying to get out of his tight grip. Seriously though, when he hugs, he can't get enough of you. He'll breathe in your scent and have his arms wrapped around you so damn tight. Shinji will squeeze your flesh and even tickle you and hold you so you can't escape from his tickles.
Toshiro Hitsugaya: His hugs are a little complicated. At first, he'll be cold and shoot you a sharp glare when you ask for a hug. Although, Toshiro cannot resist a hug from you and he caves in. He wraps his arms around your waist and holds you, muttering underneath his breath about how he doesn't like this. You laugh because you know that he does like hugging you, but he doesn't like how vulnerable it makes him. He'll place a kiss on your forehead before fully pulling away from the hug.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi: He won't deny you a hug, but he might tease you about it for a little. He laughs like a manic and grabs onto your shoulders, pulling you onto his lap. He's probably stuck in his lab when you ask him for a hug and he refuses to leave his hard work, so he just places you on his lap and multitasks. He'll stroke your hair or rub your back, typing on his keyboard and clicking on the mouse. He enjoys these quiet moments with you.
Kensei Muguruma: His hugs are firm and his big beefy biceps squeeze you 😩 (what i wouldn't do to have my head being squeezed in his bicep...ahem) The smile that grows across his face is huge as he pulls you into his big chest for a hug. He loves hugging you and especially if you're sad or something, he loves cheering you up. You feel so happy and calm in his arms. His hugs are kind and will last forever; Kensei never wants to let go, but knows he has to go back to work.
Soi-Fon: A quick, but consoling hug. I imagine that Soi-Fon doesn't really like hugs, but for you, she'll put up with it, but only for a few seconds. She won't admit it, but for the first few seconds, she indulges in the hug and cherishes it. She'll start patting your back before pulling away, face twisted with uncertainty.
Sajin Komamura: A big, fluffy hug :) You know the kind of hug that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He'll hold you as long as you need, but in reality, Sajin needs this hug more than anything. He loves to cradle you in his arms and breathe in your scent, relaxing his whole body.

If Looks Could Kill — 07
Tumblr media
Yandere! Sosuke Aizen x f! reader
warnings: no warnings.
a/n: haha I had fun writing this, I love writing these kinds of parts.
Context: Shinji finds you and your son, informs you that Aizen was sent to muken. A couple of months later, you take yourself and your son to muken so Aizen can meet you both once again.
“Come on darling, You’ve got to do it like this.” You performed a kido spell, trying to show your son how it is properly done.
It has been 115 years ever since the birth of your child, he was born with talent. So training him was easy but lacked the skills of kido, just like you.
He is a strong and tall child, he is around the same age as Toshiro Hitsugaya—you’ve never actually seen him but this is only an example—
He enrolled himself into the Shino Academy to become a soul reaper, of course he was questioned when his classmates found out about his last name from the higher ups. But he only answered that you were his distant relative.
You told him to do so, you did not want to be involved with the soul society any longer after giving birth to your son, you wanted to focus on protecting him and becoming the best mother possible for him. He of course knows your past and just who his father is, he’s made sure to never get noticed by his father since he hates that man, your son never wanted to get close to Sosuke.
You lived in the world in the living with him, in Karakura town. You’ve noticed the presence of your old comrades and you made sure to not cross paths with them. You were too ashamed to talk to them ever again.
You were fully aware of what happened in Karakura town, Sosuke had battled the others recently. You chose to not help, even though you oh so badly wanted to, you did not have the courage to fight alongside the gotei 13.
You just couldn’t go against the man who you love dearly.
knock knock
“Were you expecting someone ma?” Your son said, immediately stopping his movements and you as well stopped. You weren’t expecting anyone, you don’t even have any friends here in the world of the living so you were confused.
“I actually wasn’t expecting anybody.. I’m going to go see who it is.” Your son nodded, you walked away and he followed behind you. He was going to protect you, just in case the person tried to attack you.
Your son was a complete momma’s boy—of course theres a healthy and normal relationship between you two, not those gross mom and son relationships—
“Can I help you?” You opened the door slightly, just enough to see the persons face.
Your eyes widened when you saw the man who you once betrayed in the past, Hirako Shinji.
You tried to close the door as fast as possible, but Shinji blocked the door with his shoe. “Oh come on Y/N, is that really such a way to greet a old friend?” Shinji put his hand on the door, forcing it open.
“S-Shinji..” Your son noticed your uncomfortable stance, so he jumped in, pushing you aside. He put his arm out over you.
“Ma, who is this guy?”
“Ma?”
Shinji had quite a shocked look on his face, this kid not only resembled you but he resembled of that man as well..
“So you’ve got a kid now huh, Y/N?” Shinji pushed your son aside, he stepped closer to your face. Smirking at your timid expression, it’s been a while since he’s last seen you and honestly he didn’t expect for him to find you here. He thought Kisuke was really just pulling his leg when he told you that you lived here.
“And what is this?” Shinji accepted the paper that Kisuke had given to him, he lowered his hat down but he was still able to see his eyes slightly.
“You’ll find the woman you love here, she should be there. She doesn’t leave her home so you should be able to catch her! Tell her I said hello!” Shinji widened his eyes, he didn’t think that you were still alive. He thought Sosuke drove you out and that resulted in you killing yourself or something.
It was stupid of him to believe Kisuke so easily and quickly, but when he was given the opportunity to see you once more; he just couldn’t resist himself. You betrayed him and the others, your captain, his love, everything. But he knew.. deep down that, that was not your character.. that is why he continued to love you after all these years, he still remembers the way you looked at him that night..
“Shinji.. please leave. I don’t want any trouble with you, please just.. go.” You balled your fists, holding back tears. You felt ashamed that you were the one holding back your tears, why were you trying to act the innocent one? You were far from innocent, you were no better than Aizen Sosuke.. so why are you here acting all anxious.
It pained Shinji that you were pushing him away.
He should hate you.
He should be angry with you.
He should have killed you on the spot.
But he just.. couldn’t.
He’s loved you ever since, he knew he could never have you. He knew that with just by the look of your face, the way you looked up to Sosuke, his lieutenant. The way your cheeks turned red when talking to him, how you would fidget when he was around.
He knew he could never have you the same way Sosuke did, How embarrassed he felt. He was jealous of his own lieutenant at the time, his lieutenant was loving the woman he should have loved, he was kissing the lips of the woman he loves, making love to her. It all should have been him.
He could never hate you.
The only person he can truly hate was Aizen Sosuke.
He took everything from him.
He even gave you a child.
A child he did not know he even had.
“You’re so dumb sometimes, Y/N.” You stopped your tears when he said that, you wiped your own tears and tried to clean up the little snot you had with your sleeve.
“I came all this way just to see you, and yet you’re here pushing me away. You ain’t as nice as before I’ll tell ya that!”
You and your son were confused, especially your son. He’s never met this man after all, so it’s only natural that he is completely lost.
“I don’t care what you did in the past, I know it’s not what your soul truly wanted to do. That’s why I ain’t putting a finger on you. I never will and never have.”
He’s right, The last time you and Shinji were together. You two fought each other.. you remember very well that he never tried to attack you, he was defending himself from your attacks.
He never wanted to fight you that night, it pained him that you were still fighting him, just for Sosuke.
“Look, I’m not here to catch up or anything. I’m here to inform you about Aizen.” When hearing the last name of Sosuke, you couldn’t help but feel like something heavy came down on your chest. Were you really prepared for whatever he was going to say next?
Your son walked up to you, he noticed you were afraid. He grabbed your hand, letting you know that he has your back; that everything would be okay.
“He’s been sentenced to muken, I forgot for how long but he’s there now so.”
Shinji turned to leave, he really could not handle this anymore. He came to see you, but he couldn’t face you. He felt ashamed that maybe he could have a chance now, a chance that he could love you.
But judging from your reaction, you were still deeply in love with his ex-lieutenant.
“Shinji, wait.” You put your hand out, grabbing his arm, stopping him from leaving. You wanted to say sorry, sorry for ever betraying him, letting Aizen use him for an experiment. For breaking his trust and love.
“I’m sorry, about everything. I understand if you don’t ever want to forgive me! I’m just.. sorry Shinji.” Your breath was shaky—as well with your words— you looked down even while talking to him.
Shinji had a shocked little look on his face, there was a bit of a silence. Then suddenly, Shinji let out a loud laughter. You looked up slowly, confused on why he was laughing so hard.
“You haven’t changed, I’m glad.”
Tumblr media
Sosuke Aizen, sat alone in the cold, dark walls of Muken. The prison that can cage his body, but not his thoughts. It was a place of complete isolation, isolation from the world he once sought to rule over.
The silence was suffocating, he really could do nothing but stay there, alone with his own thoughts. His mind, that is usually sharp and calm, now drifted to places he never thought he would ever think of.
In his solitude, his thoughts returned to one specific part, you. His lover, the woman who was supposed to be the queen of his newly built world. Aizen had very little regrets, but his biggest regret would have to be killing you off.
It was pointless now, he was never going to create that new world, at least not for now. He killed you in respect of your own wishes, but now that means nothing.
He wasn’t ruler of any world, he couldn’t rebuild this world, he was restricted from his power, he didn’t have you by his side. A man is nothing without his woman, that is what he thought, and you were once his woman. Now he’s here, only able to see you in his own thoughts.
He wondered on how things would have been if he never killed you that day, would things have been different? was killing you his whole mistake? is that why is he is prisoned in this wretched place.
The thought gnawed him, the bitterness of abandonment and the ache of loss mixing in together, it was something that not even Aizen could conquer with his great intellect and power. The thought of your warmth, your smile, your loyalty, everything.. was now the only comfort he longed for. The idea of being with you again, felt like a dream he would never be able to reach again.
Just as his thoughts were consuming him once again, the air around him shifted.
The soft sound of footsteps coming closer, followed by another pair of footsteps. His heart clenched, a flicker of hope firing him up.
He blinked his eyes lightly, making sure his vision was clear before seeing the person here before him.
And there, standing right in front of him, was you.
Your presence was unexpected, but oh so real. You stole the breath from his lungs, but then.. he noticed someone else. Someone who he recognized.
He looked at the young boy, then at you. Looking at the resemblance between you two, it was truly amazing.. and most obvious that.. this was your child.
How could he not catch it? He was certain that he remembered your face quite well, it is not like Aizen to make a mistake on a person like this.
“So this.. was your child all along.”
You nodded softly and slowly, your gaze never leaving his. He looked different.. he no longer had his glasses and his hair was slicked back, his eyes, half-lidded. You were a bit ashamed that you thought he looked cute with his new look.
“Our child, all along.” You said with a steady voice, Sosuke’s eyes opened up slightly, he looked at you then at your child once more. This was.. his child?
“I never got to tell you.”
“Our child..”
The words echoed in his head over and over again. He starred at his son’s face for quite some time, his son seemed to be.. angry. He could only assume that his mother told him what Aizen had done to his mother. He respected his son for that, standing up to his own father while knowing what he is capable of.
Aizen never paid attention to his son when he was still a part of the gotei 13, he never needed his son—who he did not know was his son at the time— in his plan, so he ignored him. He was already set with his plan and did not need the use of anybody else.
For once, Aizen felt something other than control. He had always prided himself on his unshakeable composure, but now..
The woman he loves dearly, and the child who he never knew he had, was breaking down the walls he built over himself. He could not describe this feeling, but he did not like it one bit..
“What do you want from me now?” He said with a steady and stern tone.
You stepped forward, while your son followed of course. Your steps were hesitant but sure, “I’m not here to ask you anything, I just wanted to see you, how you were. And your son was quite curious on how’d you react.”
Sosuke’s lips curved upwards, his son was protecting his mother, from him.
Sosuke stood there, his mind was spinning—slightly— he had spent quite some time in this prison of isolation, wrapped with only his thoughts. But now with this new reality standing before him, he was not sure what to do. He desperately wanted to be with you again, he needed you by his side, he wanted to parent his child with you.
But there was one thing Aizen was certain of.
He was no longer alone.

➳❥ 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭: Hello !! I hope you’re having a wonderful day (⌒‿⌒) may I request headcanons of Shuhei, Yumichika, and Shinji with an s/o that’s Kenpachi’s daughter? Maybe with some gap moe where she has a similar aggressive fighting style as Kenpachi then is very sweet and happy-go-lucky (like Yachiru!!)
➳❥ 𝐀/𝐍: I just love how all the Captains are getting a chance to have a daughter who practically scares all the other subordinates >.< Since I don’t write for Yumichika, I swapped him with Ichigo (cuz it’s also fun giving him stress with anything Kenpachi) Thanks for thr request!!

Tumblr media
Shuhei Hisagi
˚₊‧꒰ა Hisagi had absolutely not a clue you were Zaraki’s daughter the first time he met you, he just knew there was something crazy, dangerous and magnetic about you, and he really shouldn’t be drawn to but absolutely was.
˚₊‧꒰ა You caught him staring when you passed him in the Seireitei gardens and shot him a grin that showed slightly too sharp teeth and zero shame, sending his brain somewhere north of useless.
˚₊‧꒰ა When he finally learned who your father was, it was from Ikkaku, who very kindly slapped the back of Hisagi’s head and muttered, “Oi, you’re sniffin’ round Zaraki’s kid, mate. Best have a bloody will ready.”
˚₊‧꒰ა That was the moment he immediately considered getting his affairs in order but realised he’d rather die than give up a chance to be near you.
˚₊‧꒰ა The first date was a mess, and he still got dragged into it; you insisted on sparring for fun, and the two of you ended up in a crumbling training yard, bruised and laughing
˚₊‧꒰ა “You know,” you called, wiping some dirt from your cheek with the back of your hand, “if you’re gonna fall for me, you better keep up.”
˚₊‧꒰ა He found it absolutely thrilling that you thought fighting was flirting and somehow adapted faster than anyone expected, even you
˚₊‧꒰ა You stole his sake once during a late night drinking session at his division and refused to give it back unless he could wrestle it off you; you won, and he still claims he let you.
˚₊‧꒰ა Other times, he would wake up to find you sprawled across his bed, limbs thrown wide like you owned it, his uniform shirt hanging off one shoulder because you tore it sometime during the night.
˚₊‧꒰ა You teased him mercilessly about his tattoo, asking if you could give him a few more “battle marks” of your own and then cackled when he flushed when you dragged your fingers halfway down his chest to show where you want to plant them.
˚₊‧꒰ა Hisagi got on surprisingly well with your father, mostly because he treated Zaraki with open respect and absolutely no grovelling fear, though he was definitely one wrong word away from getting flattened most days.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Tch. If ya hurt her, kid,” Zaraki grunted once, massive hand clapping Hisagi’s shoulder so hard he nearly face-planted, “I’ll pull yer guts out through yer nostrils.”
˚₊‧꒰ა You found it hilarious and made a point of hanging off Hisagi’s shoulders, legs wrapped round his waist, kissing him stupid in public, daring anyone to comment.
˚₊‧꒰ა He loved it when you crashed his office, flopping onto his paperwork with a loud “I’m bored. I want to be entertained,” and he pretended to be exasperated but dropped everything within minutes to curl up beside you which eventually leads to a wrestling match and a power nap.
˚₊‧꒰ა There were times he secretly enjoyed being dragged into ridiculous Zaraki family outings, like ‘friendly’ brawls, Hollow hunting, and one memorably awful camping trip where you tried (and failed) to cook a rabbit over open flame.
˚₊‧꒰ა “What are you going to do without me,” he laughed, poking your burnt rabbit corpse with a stick while you scowled.
˚₊‧꒰ა If he ever got a bad nightmare, you were both the type to pretend it didn’t happen, tangled together under thin sheets, breath evening out in the small hours without a word.
˚₊‧꒰ა You taught him how to sharpen his instincts beyond textbook fighting, how to smell blood on the wind, how to listen for the wrong kind of silence, and he taught you how to steady your rage before it burnt you alive.
˚₊‧꒰ა He wouldn’t say a word about this, but he has a secret tattoo of your name inked small and low on his hipbone where nobody would ever see unless you peeled him out of his uniform yourself.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Only person I ever wanted to be reckless for,” he muttered once against your collarbone after a near-death mission, voice rough with something he refused to call love but was anyway.
Tumblr media
Hirako Shinji
˚₊‧꒰ა Shinji spotted you once tearing through a group of low-ranked thugs in the Rukongai with a huge grin on your face and thought, Well, there goes my bloody sanity.
˚₊‧꒰ა You met properly when you were assigned as a temporary reinforcement to the Visoreds for a Hollow hunt, and Shinji spent the entire briefing pointedly not staring at the way your hips moved each time you walked, because, “My eyed were glued to your zanpakuto.”
˚₊‧꒰ა After you almost sliced a Hollow clean in half while flipping over its back like it was a plaything, Shinji sidled up next to you, hands in his pockets, lazy grin in place, and said, “Oi, yer dad teach ya that, or are you just naturally mental?”
˚₊‧꒰ა Shinji knew you were Zaraki’s kiddo before you even opened your mouth; it was in the swagger, the craze in your eyes, the grin that promised chaos.
˚₊‧꒰ა First date was not so much a date as it was Shinji daring you to join him for sake and terrible karaoke in some dive bar on the far side of the Seireitei. You had stole the microphone halfway through and belted out a foul-mouthed drinking song so gloriously badly that Shinji damn near proposed on the spot.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Yer a bloody nightmare,” he told you later, arm slung round your shoulders, dragging you close enough to smell the cheap alcohol on his breath, “and I’m already in too deep.”
˚₊‧꒰ა You sparred constantly, usually ending with you pinning him or he pinning you, both of you panting and laughing and occasionally snogging against the ground until someone threw a sandal at your heads.
˚₊‧꒰ა Zaraki didn’t hate Shinji, which was about the highest praise Shinji could’ve asked for, even though your father muttered things like, “At least the tosser’s got some teeth,”
˚₊‧꒰ა “If he so much as makes ya cry, girl,” Zaraki warned once, cracking his knuckles loudly enough to make the table rattle, “I’ll break every bleedin’ rib in his body.”
˚₊‧꒰ა You delighted in testing Shinji’s patience, picking fights with him in the middle of Division meetings, stealing his captain’s haori and wearing it as a dress, sneaking sake into his paperwork stacks.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Oi, love,” he drawled once when he caught you sneaking through his window at midnight, “you come here to kill me or kiss me?”
˚₊‧꒰ა Shinji was a sucker for your wild, reckless laughter, the way you treated every battle like a bloody dance floor, the way you made the world feel sharp and electric again.
˚₊‧꒰ა He let you crash at his place whenever you wanted, sprawling across his bed like a queen, yelling at him to bring snacks and sake as if you owned the place, which, honestly, you kind of did.
˚₊‧꒰ა You once dyed his hair pink as a prank while he was asleep; he wore it for three days just to piss off everyone at the Captain’s meetings and you laughed so hard you cried.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Don’t threaten me with a good time, love,” he grinned when you teased him about being whipped, dragging you into his lap with no effort at all.
˚₊‧꒰ა You’d drag him to family dinners with Zaraki and Yachiru where someone usually bled before dessert; and he never complained once, even when he lost three teeth once from a ‘friendly’ brawl.
˚₊‧꒰ა You once dared Shinji to fight you with one hand tied behind his back; he won, but only because he cheated and used his mouth to pin your wrist to the floor.
˚₊‧꒰ა “You’re bloody trouble,” he whispered into your hair once, after dragging you laughing into bed after a fight, “and I’m the idiot who loves it.”
Tumblr media
Kurosaki Ichigo
˚₊‧꒰ა When this little strawberry found out who your dad was after you’d already knocked him flat during a training match, it made the whole situation even worse, because now he had bruises and the mental image of Zaraki’s murderous glare burning holes in his back.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Wait! Zaraki’s your dad?! Seriously?! That’s...that’s not even fair,” Ichigo groaned, rubbing his ribs while you leaned smugly on your sword.
˚₊‧꒰ა You just grinned and replied, “If you’re gonna date me, you’d better stop whining and fight harder, Kurosaki.”
˚₊‧꒰ა Ichigo thought dating you was going to be exhausting, and he was completely right, but he also never had more fun in his life.
˚₊‧꒰ა You dragged him headfirst into chaos on the regular—training in the middle of the night, brawls in underground rings, Hollow bait missions you definitely weren’t authorised to take part in.
˚₊‧꒰ა He’d show up late home with a busted lip and grass in his hair, muttering, “Don’t ask,” while you stood behind him looking smug and completely unbothered.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Your old man hates me,” he muttered after the third time Zaraki cracked his knuckles at him in the hallway; you just shrugged and said, “He hates everyone.”
˚₊‧꒰ა He (once) tried to kiss you in the hallway before a mission. Zaraki walked past, snorted like a bull, and Ichigo very calmly walked into a wall.
˚₊‧꒰ა You thought it was adorable how flustered he got around your family, especially since he could slice through a Menos like butter but couldn’t make eye contact with your dad for more than three seconds.
˚₊‧꒰ა “You alright there, Kurosaki?” you asked sweetly, resting your chin on his shoulder during dinner while Zaraki loomed five feet away, ready to challenge him to a duel.
˚₊‧꒰ა You once kicked him through a wall during a spar and offered him a hand while laughing, “You done being a wimp yet?” and he grabbed it, grumbling, “Hell no.”
˚₊‧꒰ა He never got used to how casual you were about injuries, like returning from missions covered in blood and saying, “It’s not mine” while stealing his rice.
˚₊‧꒰ა At least he was always there to patch up your wounds even when you insisted you were fine, muttering, “Stop moving, idiot, or I’m tying you down,” and you grinned because you knew he meant it.
˚₊‧꒰ა He once snuck into your room to surprise you and ended up on the business end of your zanpakuto because you were half-asleep and reacted on instinct.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Next time,” you mumbled, sheathing the blade, “knock first or I’ll carve your name into my wall with your blood.”
˚₊‧꒰ა Like typical guys, he secretly liked when you wore his black undershirt post-battle, even though it was way too long on you and covered in dust, because it meant you were still breathing.
˚₊‧꒰ა He respected the hell out of your strength but never tried to compete with it—he wasn’t interested in being stronger than you, only in being strong with you.
˚₊‧꒰ა Despite being constantly stressed around your dad, Ichigo somehow earned Zaraki’s grudging approval by throwing himself in front of you during a mission once and almost getting crushed for it.
˚₊‧꒰ა “Tch,” Zaraki said after dragging him out of the dirt, “Ya might be an idiot, but you’re a tough one. Don’t died cuz we still gotta fight later.”
˚₊‧꒰ა You always made Ichigo feel like the world was on fire, but in a way that made him want to run toward the flames instead of away from them.

This is a part II to this fic. Without further ado...GIRLDAD!Shinji !!!!
A special shout out to @villainsrtasty for the pigtail's idea!
With your daughter taking up space in your home now, your son was going through a clingy phase, making grabby hands and whining for you constantly, desperate to be the baby again. In the past, Shinji would pout and grumble something about your son favoring you over him, complaining that he was such a "momma's boy," and that he was basically chopped liver in comparison, but now that your daughter had been born, she kept Shinji's hands full. He hardly had time to complain about your son's neediness when your daughter was all over him every waking hour, and he loved every second of it.
It was obvious from the beginning that she was meant to have a special relationship with your husband, the daughter he so badly wanted, and now she was here. In a room full of people, her little eyes would dart about, searching for him, a smile spreading on her face only when she found him. She clung to him the same way your son did to you, curling the fabric of his clothes in her tiny fingers or plopping down in his lap with a book in hand, a silent command that he read to her. Shinji did any and everything she requested of him. It made you proud, the way she had him wrapped around her little finger. She hadn't even been able to talk yet and he still always understood exactly what she wanted and got it to her without hesitation, better than even you could. She was so young, so new to the world, and already spoiled, sure to be trouble the older she got.
There was also Shinji’s protectiveness, and a new special kind that developed, reserved for her and her only. Jokingly, or maybe not so jokingly, when another baby boy shared toys with her and she followed him everywhere he went, Shinji lectured her on the way home, as if she could understand. “No, no boyfriends. Yer mine for life.”
“What do you mean?” You’d tease him. “That’s my little heartbreaker. Her and I are gonna get all done up and go out clubbing when she’s old enough. She’s going to be my party girl partner in crime…”
“No way!” He’d whine. “The both of ya stay home with me. The day some slimeball gets to her and tries to take advantage of my baby girl...” He didn’t need to finish his thought, the hint of the threat in his narrowed eyes.
“So when some idiot’s approaching her with some corny ass pickup line…?” You side-eyed him, also with no need to finish the thought.
“If he’s as handsome and charismatic as me, then maybe I’ll consider letting it slide.” He grinned smugly.
On one of the better nights, your son was napping upstairs, and your daughter was wound for sound, giggling wildly as she made attempts to pull your husband's blonde hair into pigtails. The more he made noises of protests and "ouch!"'s, the more amusing she found it. Though it was at the expense of his comfort, her laughter was one of the most beautiful sounds you had ever heard, and you were sure he agreed, hence why he endured the pain. You seared the sound into your brain, pulling your phone out to capture a short video of the moment to keep forever, smiling distantly as you watched her tangle her hands into his bangs.
"She's kind of hurting me," he chuckled to you. You tucked your phone away and moved to grab her, with other ideas to keep her entertained, but he put a hand up to stop you, looking appalled that you would even think to take her from him. "Not so fast. She thinks it's funny."
You laughed and shook your head, watching as only moments later she tugged on his blonde tufts so hard she jerked his head down. You intervened despite the fact that he'd let her rip his hair out if she so desired. You weren't sure what it was about your husband that made him have such a history of getting beat on by small girls, snickering to yourself as you thought of how funny Hiyori would find your daughter’s antics.
She tried to pry your hands off of her hips as you pulled her away, but you held tight, pulling her into your chest. "You like hurting Daddy, do you?" You asked her, tickling her stomach and making her giggle again, squirming in your hold.
Meanwhile, Shinji had busied himself with pulling his hair into the ponytails she wanted to see, excitedly showing her the two small sprouts of blonde on the sides of his head when he was done. "You want matching ones, girly?" He offered her, ignoring your teasing giggles as you admired his silly appearance. Anything for his girl.
She squealed and laughed and climbed into his lap eagerly, turning her little head this way and that as she impatiently awaited for him to style her hair. He gently combed it away from her face with his fingers and gathered what he could into two little pigtails. They were tiny, her hair barely fitting into them, but it was only a matter of time until it'd be longer, and you were certain Shinji would be fashioning it into unique styles for her every day.
She curiously reached for her head to feel for her father's creation, only to yank them out, grinning proudly and looking for her father's adverse reaction.
Shinji sighed. "Brat."
He couldn’t stay mad at her for long, an affectionate smile spreading on his lips, gathering her in his arms and pulling her tightly into his chest, tickling her the way you had moments earlier. Even as her flailing arms and legs delivered blows to his body, he remained unfazed, peppering her tiny head and face with loud, dramatic smooches. It was obvious to anyone, but to you most of all, how in love he was. It made you snort, his pigtails and his clinginess and his doting, how someone so dangerous and deadly could also be the goofiest and the softest. It made your heart swell too, the father of your children, and what an amazing father he was.
On one of the not-so-good nights, it was still evident to you how much and how hard he loved his girls. Sickness frequently paid a visit to your household with the two little germs running rampant, and a particularly vicious flu had struck when Shinji was at his busiest. He managed to avoid the plague, gone for long hours due to the demands of the Soul Society, and you were left to bear the brunt of it. Just as your son’s condition was starting to improve, the virus invaded yours and your daughter’s systems at the same time.
Feeling deathly ill and weaker than ever, you had no choice but to rise from your bed, to fend off the nausea and fight through the fever and chills to take care of your daughter who was suffering just the same, all while handling your son as well. As a mother, you had learned to make sacrifices for your children’s wellbeing and had grown accustomed to it, but this challenged and broke you down in a way you hadn’t experienced before. It got worse before it got better, and you had no idea how you were managing, sleepwalking through each moment. You couldn’t eat, could hardly sleep, and were constantly on the verge of vomiting and/or collapsing, but you were forced to soldier through it for them, hiding from Shinji just how sick you were knowing that he had his own matters to handle.
He hadn’t returned home until late that night when your daughter was crying incessantly, the poor thing tortured by a slew of symptoms that seemed to not want to go away despite your many remedies, and you were trying but failing not to cry with her.
Her tiny, fragile body in so much pain, she went back and forth between pushing you away from her and grabbing onto you, wanting to be cuddled, but frustrated that it was not solving all of her problems. Snot and tears shined on her face as she wept intensely. You had become hopeless, sharing both her physical and emotional pain. Shivering, wrapping around her tightly, you sobbed with her, telling her that you were sorry and pressing your lips to her burning forehead.
If you could, you would take all of her heat, all of her chills, all of her upset stomach, and all of her boogers, even if it meant doubling your own suffering. You’d do it just so you didn’t have to hear the heartbreaking sound of her anguish, of your failure to help her. But alas, you were just as beaten down as her, and simultaneously wishing that you could be her size and her age again, crawling into someone’s lap and having them hold and comfort you and tell you that it would all be okay again soon.
Shinji walked in on the two of you in hysterics, your son playing with toys nearby, watching the scene unfold from a place of innocent curiosity. Your daughter was wailing so hard, she hadn’t even noticed that her savior had returned. With a deep frown, your husband instantly took her from you, and she melted into him, tucking her runny nose into his robes as he caressed her hair and back, shushing her and cooing to her and rocking her to sleep.
On cue, your son stumbled over to you, getting into your lap now that your hands were free. You snuggled him into you desperately, your sweet little guy, subduing your sobs so that your sick daughter could have peace. Shinji threw you a concerned look as he did everything he could to console your daughter, not stopping until she was drifting off in his protective embrace, just the medicine she needed.
When there were tiny snores escaping her stuffy nose, he disappeared to ease her into her crib, returning quickly to remedy you next. Your son didn’t make much of a fuss when Shinji pulled him from you, knowing that his mother wasn’t herself right now. Your husband reached for your forehead, brows furrowing as he felt the immense heat radiating from your skin, though he didn’t need to confirm your fever to clock that you were ill. The sight of your pale skin, glassy eyes, and hunched, shaky body were evidence enough.
“Why didn’t ya call me?” He asked softly, wiping stray tears from your cheeks. In his lap, your son observed, his large round eyes looking up at you as if he wanted an answer too.
“I didn’t want you to worry,” your voice broke. “I thought I could handle it on my own, but I feel so bad, Shinji.” Tears threatened to spill again, and you didn’t hesitate to curl into his free arm, just as clingy and needy as your daughter had been. “I can’t do this.”
“If I had known you were this sick, I never would have left ya here alone with them,” he said sternly. “You need to rest, sweetheart.”
“Don’t cry, Ma Ma,” your son chimed in.
It tore through your heart. You reached for him, hugging Shinji with him sandwiched in between. “I’m sorry, baby. I’m okay.”
“Come on.” Your husband gently tugged the back of your shirt before rising, pulling you up with him while he balanced his son in one arm. “Let’s get ya to bed too.”
“But-” you started to protest, throwing your son a worried glance.
“No buts,” Shinji interjected. “We need a guys night anyway.” He looked towards his son, managing half a grin before placing a hand on your lower back, gently nudging you forward. “C’mon.”
After letting him feed you medicine and tuck you in, the last thing you saw before entering a night full of broken sleep, strange dreams, and fevered hallucinations was your husband’s fleeting silhouette, your son on his hip. You never fully woke, but throughout the night, Shinji was in and out of your bed, sometimes with your son, sometimes with your daughter, sometimes with both. When your eyes peeled open again, early in the morning before the sun had even risen, all three of them were tangled in the sheets, your son nuzzled into your chest, and your daughter on the other side of him, poking Shinji awake.
You jolted upwards at the sight of his sleeping figure, head spinning, sweat clinging to every part of your body, your mind not quite all there at this hour. Your poor son jerked awake at your side, the whole room coming back to consciousness at once.
“Aren’t you late?!” You gasped at your husband.
“What?” He asked groggily, turning onto his side and wrapping an arm around his daughter in one swift motion. She laughed at him, clearly in higher spirits than she was last night, as he squinted at you.
“For work,” you fretted. “Don’t you need to be at the barracks?”
“Momo’s gonna take care of things,” he informed you hoarsely, letting his eyes flutter closed again. “I’m staying here today.”
“Oh.” You sunk back down into bed as your son clawed at you, trying to pull you back into your previous position, though you thought there was no way you were going to get back to sleep now, not with how sweaty you were.
“How are ya feeling?” Shinji asked you as his daughter crawled around, attempting to play peekaboo with the blankets. “Cause’ this one seems to be doing better…” He nodded towards her with a lazy smile.
“Better.” You wiped your forehead. “Seems like my fever broke, at least for now.”
“Mmm, that’s good,” he hummed. “My poor girls.” He pouted, launching into a rant. “I’m so sad. Her nose is so stuffy.” He looked to his daughter, his fingers cradling her head. “Do you know how annoying a stuffy nose is? And my baby has to have one? This world can be so cruel!”
“You’re gonna get it next,” you huffed a laugh at his dramatics. “All cozy with her snot all over you.”
“Nah, I don’t get sick,” he assured with a smirk.
“Yeah, yeah.” You rolled your eyes. “We’ll see.”
“Don’t care,” he grumbled. “It’s worth it. I’d do anything for her,” he said seriously.
“I know you would,” you cooed, mindlessly finding your son’s back to rub soothing circles into.
Knowing that Shinji was back now, and you were safe, that you weren’t alone in this, it made your body soften with content, falling back into a drowsy state. Without realizing it, as you soothed your son, you were self-soothing too. With the four of you pressed together soundly, you could relax. You could take care of your little family and allow yourself to be taken care of too.
“Thank you,” you mumbled to your husband as your eyes fell shut again. “For taking care of us, for taking care of me. Thank you for staying.”
He responded, “I love you,” in an explanatory tone, in a way that said I need no thanks, I’m not doing this for thanks. His words from earlier pierced through your head again, “I’d do anything for her.”
You drifted off again with a smile on your lips, no more strange nightmares to be had when you were surrounded by so much love. “I love you too, Daddy.”
Of course, Shinji did eventually end up getting sick. There was no way of avoiding it, not with how he was glued to you and your daughter until the both of you got better.
You took care of him with the same tenderness he had, nursing him back to health as you continued to juggle your children with your energy somewhat restored. Your daughter, his little best friend, knew there was something wrong with her father, and as he spent most of the day in bed, she was there with him, snuggling into his chest or pressing a cold cloth to his head with no idea what she was doing but watching you do the same, so it must have been something helpful. She even offered him her comfort stuffed animal, a serious token of affection as she wouldn’t ever allow anyone else to have it. Shinji accepted it graciously, cuddling it tightly when she wasn’t there. You snapped a sneaky picture of him sound asleep, the stuffed creature tucked under his arm, and made it your new home screen wallpaper, your babies already taking up your lock screen. Now you had the whole collection.
When he was better again, heading back to resume his duties as a Captain, your daughter wailed after him, crying for her “Dada,” having been spoiled to have his presence around so much. He himself seemed to be on the verge of tears, apologizing profusely and promising his sweetheart that he’d be back again for her later. You tried to tell her that you’d still be around, but she didn’t seem interested.
You shared an exasperated look with him, knowing that you were going to have to deal with her crying and missing him until she was distracted by something else. “Who’s chopped liver now?” You laughed.
“Sorry,” he said sheepishly. “She’s a Daddy’s girl.”
Indeed, she was, and you knew deep down that there was no other way for your little family to be.

The ever so illustrious (and badly scanned) sketch page, as promised :3 @orion-archives
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ngl, hilarious to me that every time I do a double full page sketch for these dudes, I basically unlock a new character (this time it’s Bumblebee). Not much planned for him rn beyond “I think it’d be Really funny if Bumblebee got bitches and is the same age as Optimus”. (You can see I Struggled at first with him till I sat down and Stared at some reference pics and then Immediately deviated away from it). Also a bit of Elita which I expanded upon in my fav format, meme :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also Ngl, I knew she showed up for like 0.6 seconds before being Blasted, but when using her comic ver. (Used Tfwiki which was surprisingly mean? About her? Felt bad) I realized she looked Very bird like (you can hear me evil chuckling in the distance as I keep infusing more animal traits like it’s my job). Also ended up keeping her ability to move around on one leg bc Ngl having her brandish one of her legs at you while going Mach 5 is Very Funny.
Also, here’s one I like I call “Sentinel screaming at the matrix to pick his son (Oppy) as the next High Leader” (also context: going with High Leader as a replacement for Prime as that’s a frame type here instead of “king chosen by god” archetype)
Tumblr media
Also. Some bonus pics from my Discord :). Very little context beyond friend telling me to draw Oppy in Shinji pose and it Immediately devolving into the art (that I made) on their wall (it would be 2 Oppy v 1 Wally darling) and then I made the second at 2am in a fit of inspiration. You can tell it was 2am.

I wish the plot of the first season was Marinette coming to love being Ladybug. Mostly because I’m sick of it still being presented as a chore when she could easily pass the responsibility on to someone else. Instead, Ladybug is still presented as mainly a burden that Marinette is forced to nobly bear. My best guess is that she’s meant to be a tragic hero, but she's mainly just annoying.
Both times she gave up the earing she only took them back because there was no other choice. The writers could have dedicated an arc to Marinette learning what it means to be a hero (If nothing else, this needs to happen! Marinette is one of the least heroic heroes I have ever seen in media) and then being given the option to give up the earrings, but refusing because she wants to be Ladybug. One reason I think Adrien would make a better protagonist is that he clearly loves being Chat Noir.
Or if that’s too serialized for the show’s formula, then make being a miraculous holder an inherited position to justify why Marinette is still doing this. Maybe only descendants of the original holders can wield their respective miraculous. Maybe since the kwamis are basically gods, their holders are their avatars. They reincarnate every hundred years or so, and the kwagatama allows them to speak to their past lives. As a bonus, both these options provide an organic way to explore the lore of the miraculous and Marinette’s chinese heritage, both of which are extremely lacking in canon.
---
Yeah, like, that's the most annoying thing about Marinette Ladybugging: she sucks at it, she hates it, she merely does the bare minimum and yet she has all the power to quit at any second. As soon as an audience member realizes she holds all the power in this situation, the question of “why” becomes essential. Why is Marinette still Ladybug? She only views her duties as a burden and she kinda sucks at superheroics with her fix everything spell and far more dedicated partners carrying her and pulling her ass out of the fire whenever she's dealing with anything more stressful than a run-of-the-mill Akuma. If she was up against supervillains where you couldn't just magic the problem away like a real superhero, she’d be throwing crying fits every week.
Like, back when Neon Genesis Evangelion came out, people didn't really understand what parental abuse does to a kid and they were constantly annoyed at Shinji not just telling his dad to go screw himself if he didn't want to pilot the super cool giant robot. There's some lack of sympathy in general going on here, but people who didn't get it were asking those questions. And that was when said abusive dad was also telling him he’d send in a grievously injured girl in Shinji’s place if he didn't do it. Yet no one questions why Marinette, who's her own boss and yet constantly complains about her job, doesn't just quit.
It's starting to feel like some attempt at false humility by the writers, where the reason it's okay she gets all the power and authority is because she doesn't "really want it", but it comes across as more like her not appreciating it. She's supposedly really stressed out, but she doesn't exactly feel concerned for the people following her lead, considering none of her concerns are about if she's being a good leader or not. Whenever she's concerned about her performance, it's mostly in terms of how she's viewed, not how she's impacting others.
Her arrogance goes even higher than Barman's in terms of thinking she's the only one who can do the job, but Batman actually gets called out for this attitude.

Follow-up to my Fanroad Magazine archival scan post - let's look at some cute 90's anime art! Just random ones that caught my eye:
Tumblr media
"Hey, what happened to me!?" As mentioned, this came out before End of Eva did - as such, Asuka & crew really didn't get much of an ending in the TV show. 100% how she would react to watching episode 26, props to our artist (春原てるも/Kasuhara Terumo)
Tumblr media
There are just so many "Rei running with toast" pieces, it was clearly a combination of a meme amoung the fans and the theme for the magazine. Love how this one brought marmalade too - never compromise on taste, no matter how late you are.
(The artist's name is "actually, I'm a Shinji fan" btw lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love finds like these - these toast-lugging Rei's are by people who are professional mangaka today! The first is by いちば仔牛/Ichiba Kousei, or "Marketplace Cow" - it ain't their birth name I am sure - and they are a founding member of the doujin circle UGO - which is still going strong! And our second is by (I am 80% sure on this one) うおなてれぴん/Uona Terepin, a quite-accomplished artist who adorably published their first professional work in 1997, a year after this. Their twitter feed is 50% big titty girls and 50% model tanks, absolutely based.
Tumblr media
Hot👏Shinji👏Fucks👏, this piece is amazing. What else do I have to say? (緋月れん/Hizuki Ren - maybe, translating Japanese names with no context is hard guys -_-)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is one of my favourite trends - so Evangelion has a lot of technobabble? And it is very frequently in English. So fans really liked recreating that aesthetic in their art. But in 1996 they didn't have access to like screengrabs from the show or scanned splatbooks on hand? Which meant they just used ~whatever English text they could find - generally newspapers at their university or library. Which means we get Toast Rei splashed on reports of stock indices in the global financial markets, and this beautiful moe-Rei/Asuka looking solemnly out over, uh, some report about housing prices and cholesterol levels? Technobabble indeed! (嶋屋みえ/Shimaya Mei, まなせ貴也/Manase Takaya)
Tumblr media
Rei clone army! Adorable. (藤桜智美/Fujisakura Tomomi)
Okay, moving away from Eva, there is in fact a bunch of other properties in here with fanart, but these types stood out to me:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That seinen "Kids on the Street" energy that was peaking in the 90's; fully ~aesthetic. (Keiko Kuyuki)
And to end on a weird note:
Tumblr media
One section of the magazine is just a free-for-all of thoughts, and one Yayoi Hirone decided to give us a girl caught in the middle of undressing...alongside a recipe for cooking shrimp. Which, if I am being honest, is a huge improvement over the bullshit they throw on recipes online these days. This is the future we could have had -_-
Anyway, I hope that was fun - if anyone is struck or amused by some of the art in the magazine, I would be happy to see what stood out to you!

Why the Diamond Redemption Doesn’t Work
Tumblr media
About a year ago I wrote a post defending Steven Universe and Steven’s character writing. Since then my views have changed a bit and while I don’t think Steven is as much of a wuss as those Jack Horner or Hitler memes make him out to be, I can understand some of the gripes with the Diamond’s redemption. While Lily Orchard is a shitty person, I do side eye some of the people who hate her especially due to transmisogyny getting worse and her being a trans woman that doesn’t pass well and while some of her criticisms of the show are unfair, others were those black fans already had discussed regarding the show’s anti blackness with Sugilite and Bismuth and I’m going to explain why the Diamonds redemption doesn’t work by comparing them to similar characters.
In most stories that redeemed a fascist, abusive or genocidal villain, something was done to ensure that they would be incapable of causing further harm. Darth Vader, Kylo Ren and Gendo Ikari all died. They may have committed a heroic sacrifice and gotten acceptance from Luke, Rey and Shinji but that’s it. Vader and Kylo did go to Jedi heaven and Gendo was allowed to reunite with Yui in death but they still had to die as their crimes were too great to forgive. People can criticize how well executed these redemptions were but they only reconciled with one person and no one was forced to forgive them.
Tumblr media
As for villains who were given a second chance and continued to live, something was still done to prevent them from hurting others. Lord Ozai had his powers taken away by Aang. ATLA has also been criticized for falling into white liberalism but at least Ozai still faced consequences. Ben directly targeted the Highbreed’s racist ideology by forcing them to walk in the shoes of those they tried to genocide by mixing their DNA with the omnitrix’s aliens. Lord Garmadon was corrupted by the Great Devourer and later Oni blood after his resurrection and he had to prove both times he had changed by taking a vow of nonviolence and helping the Ninja. Harumi’s redemption was criticized for being rushed but at least she had lost her powers and was implied to be under police surveillance in Crystalized. All these villain characters got off easy but at least had something done to remove their ability to cause harm.
In some cases a villain would be offered redemption and chose to reject it. That would have been a way to keep Steven a pacifist while still destroying the diamonds via their own actions. Lord Shen was offered a second chance despite everything he had done to Po and rejected it which caused his own death. Emperor Belos tried to manipulate Luz and was rightfully treated as the liar he was. The Diamonds for all we know could be doing the same and only acting nice to placate Steven until he dies, given how little they seem to regret abusing Rose and tried to get a replacement with Steven and later Spinel. They didn’t need to be shattered but as @thewoollyviking said, they needed to lose their powers so they could never be able to take back their empire if they returned to their old ways.
Tumblr media
Something else that’s been on my mind is the idea that wanting the diamonds to suffer consequences is a “culturally Christian” or “Tankie” worldview. Like maybe some people are influenced by a punitive view of Christianity but i have also seen Christian fans who insisted that Steven had to forgive them based on their religious views. Wanting someone to face consequences isn’t always to be cruel and unusual. It’s to prevent them from harming other people and restorative justice is not the same as letting people off the hook. They still need to face some sort of justice to recognize what they did was wrong as a catalyst for becoming better people.
I think the problems with the diamond’s redemption came down to it being intended to be an allegory for an abusive family while having them commit all sorts of crimes like purging any gem that didn’t align with their beliefs and creating the cluster to blow up the earth. SU suffers because it used magical girl solutions to deal with sci fi/irl political issues which came off as tone deaf to a lot of people. Not everyone who dislikes it does so because of one person’s video essay and while it didn’t need to kill the diamonds, them losing their powers and being banished from Homeworld would have been more satisfying as a compromise because people like the diamonds will never change in real life and letting them off like that does have real world implications.

I hope you do the bleach vizards!
Vizards headcanons when their brand new fem gf randomly walks up to them and says “let’s have sex!” (Except for hachi sorry big guy)
I have weird taste in characters
I'm so excited to be getting more requests for Bleach 😭 I decided to go against my 3 character rule and give you 5, but I made the executive decision to leave out Love and Mashiro (sorry!) Hope you like what I've written for you 💜
CW: suggestive, gn!reader but fem!reader in mind, headcanons, established relationship
Reactions to a s/o saying "Let's have sex!" (Vizards)
Shinji
You were bold. That was one of the things he quite liked about you. However, being so daring only enticed him to test the waters.
He didn’t get flustered very easily, so coming right out with what was on your mind wouldn’t get the reaction you may have been looking for.
Of course, he’d have that same cocky smile he was known for. Whether or not you were serious in taking the next step wouldn’t really change his response—teasing to get more of a reaction out of you. You were the one who threw the ball in his court after all.
Getting you flustered would be a little goal of his. Leaning in closely, whispers carrying flirtatious undertones all to make you stir a little in your seat worked on you like a charm. He’d chuckle lightly when you gave him what he was after.
Approaching him like this around others would only end in you regretting your actions. There’d be no way in you walking away with your dignity intact.
Blurting it out while you were in a more private setting would most likely result in just that after a lot of buildup to the main event.
Rose
The faint huff of amusement was paired with a small smile. Although his expression didn’t change much, he found your little outburst of passion humorous and oddly endearing.
Your excitable moments were undoubtedly a part of you that originally drew him in.
Watching you get carried away with a thought here and there warmed his heart. His calm, neutral personality was balanced by yours, making the contrast in you two glaringly obvious in moments like these.
“That can be arranged.”
In a tone that would otherwise sound innocently friendly, his eyes held on yours. He was thoroughly enjoying watching the heat rush to your face. Whether you approached the topic in public or private there wouldn’t be a major difference in his answer.
And he just sat there…patiently with a faint, pleasant look upon his face as he waited for you to say something.
Hiyori
Her face immediately turned red as she choked back a weak scoff. I mean, how forward could you be? Who just blurts things like that out?
The remark she sputtered out was half-assed because she was still processing what you’d just exclaimed.
Don’t you dare comment on how red she got. Well, unless you were looking to make the rest of the day with her chewing you out.
There wouldn’t really be any winning in this situation: say you meant it, she’d get flustered. Say it was a joke, it’d sting even though she’d never admit it.
Just let her have her initial reaction, otherwise it’d turn into even more of a scene.
If you went up to her with this in front of a bunch of people, there’d be no saving you.
Going up to her in private would still get you a tsundere reaction but would come with much less screaming.
Lisa
You cannot say something like that and not mean it. Being her s/o, you’d be fully aware of her special interests in adult manga and suggestive magazines. There’s no way she wouldn’t be pent up to some degree.
With that in mind, bringing this up to her in private would be your best chance at getting what you wanted. Even if her expression was cool and collected, the genuine interest rising within her was hard to miss.
Since she could be a bit irritable at times, coming right out with it when around others would most likely backfire. Springing something like that on her within earshot of everyone all while she was probably kind of irked already wouldn’t fare well for you.
Was the glare from her disappointment in your lack of restraint or her frustration that she couldn’t act on it at that moment? You’d find out later.
Kensei
He stared at you for a moment, but that turned into an awkward silence. His blush and furrowed brow was incredibly delayed because it took him a second to process your statement. You were in public. Why now?
His posture was stiffened as he tried to get you to be quiet. Your voice seemed to echo around you, and although he wanted to be angry with you, your genuine excitement to take the next step struck him to his core.
You were far too cute when saying that, but he still managed to sternly hush you up. If you teased him after, he’d promptly refuse and walk away in a flustered huff. There was no getting that image you’d planted out of his head, though; the damage had been done.
Bringing this up in private wouldn’t lessen this response by much. With crossed arms and a bright red face, his embarrassment of his now racing thoughts would make it difficult for him to look you in the eye.

shinigami bebop
Tumblr media
masterlist
pairing : shinji hirako x fem!reader
summary : shinji's favourite jazz bar is packed tonight and he has no choice but to sit next to you, the owner's sister. shinji hopes to see you again after tonight.
word count : 1.0k
requested by : @veeepawoon
request/prompt : Maybe something with Shinji?🙏For example him listening to some music/going into a jazz club and meeting the reader?
note : thank you for the request!! i've been wanting to write for shinji but haven't been able to find a concrete idea i wanted to write for until i saw this. also i kinda ignore shinigami stuff in this fic. not necessarily that it doesn't exist in this universe, but it isn't focused on.
༶┈⋇⊶⊰✿⊱⊷⋇┈⋇⊶⊰✿⊱⊷⋇┈୨♡୧┈⋇⊶⊰✿⊱⊷⋇┈⋇⊶⊰✿⊱⊷⋇┈༶
the sun was starting to set as shinji made his way into town. in about an hour, the jazz bar he started frequenting about a year ago would be starting it's nightly jazz set.
unfortunately for him and fortunately for his good friend, the bar owner, it had gained popularity recently after a celebrity had visited it about a month ago.
shinji wished it would go back to being his secret place once the popularity died down. but his wishes wouldn't be answered tonight as it looked to be the busiest it's ever been. there was a line out the door and what seemed to be security at the entrance. shinji assumed it wouldn't be a permanent arrangement and went into the queue.
when he got to the door and met with security, he handed them his id and waited for approval before entering. once inside he could see the stage and the band that was preparing for the performance that would start soon. making his way to the bar to order a drink, he saw the face of the owner, a woman who called herself 'honey', light up at the sight of him. laughing excitedly and running over, honey ran out from behind the bar and engulfed shinji in a hug.
"shinji! how are you?! it's so busy, isn't this amazing?!" she exclaimed.
"it is amazin', congratulations! i hope for your sake it stays busy." he told her. "but where am i supposed to sit?"
"oh my god! i don't have enough seats for everyone here." honey gasped. "oh but my sister is by herself tonight, do you mind sharing a seat with her? she's real sweet and she has the best seat in the building."
"if your sister doesn't mind, i'd love to sit with her. i want to listen to my favourite band. comfortably, and not standing the entire time." he replied.
"let me go ask her, i'll be right back." the woman told him. "asuke! get this man whatever he drink he wants, it's on the house!" honey yelled at the bar before walking away.
a few minutes later, shinji was sipping on a light lager when he saw honey walking towards him, her hand holding another person's hand as she lead them towards shinji.
the woman honey was with, was beautiful. her hair was pulled back into an elegant messy bun, the dress she wore hugged her curves perfectly, and the shy smile she wore on her lips was stunning. shinji was hypnotized.
"shinji, i'd like you to meet my sister, (y/n). (y/n), i'd like you to meet shinji." honey introduced the two of you.
taking the hand you extended into his, your expression turned to one of shock when he bent over to kiss your hand instead of shaking it.
"it's a pleasure to meet you (y/n). i hope you don't mind me intruding on the best seat in the building." shinji said, straightening out.
"of course not, anything for a friend of honey's." you replied, a light smile on your lips.
"well you two, i think the show's going to start in a minute, get back to your seats, i'll get someone to check in on you soon." honey said, walking back towards to bar.
"well, lead the way beautiful." shinji encouraged, taking your hand again. he was pretty sure his words and the hand holding were causing you to blush and you turned to lead him away before he could see if he was right.
he was being a lot bolder today than he normally would and was hoping it was paying off.
you lead him upstairs and into a private area just above everyone else that gave a perfect view of the band. just as you two sat down, the band started their set.
two songs into their set, a waitress came upstairs and took your orders. after you handed the waitress the drink menu you were looking at, you went to take a peak at shinji who was already looking at you. when he saw you look at him, his lips pulled back into a wide grin causing you to raise an eyebrow at him and tilt your head to the side, questioning him silently.
"i saw your nose crinkle when i said i wanted a dark lager for my second drink. you don't like dark lagers?" shinji questioned, teasing you.
"i do not like dark lagers, they're disgusting, they're so gross." you said, sticking out your tongue in disgust. this caused shinji to laugh at you.
you two continued talking quietly throughout the band's performance and continued talking when the next band came on. there were moments of silent between each other when you'd enjoy the music. you closed your eyes and focused on the music and when you opened your eyes, you saw shinji staring at you with a smile on his face. eventually, you wanted to head home and shinji offered to walk you home with the approval of your sister.
you two enjoyed walking and talking, your hands joined together as you swayed your arms. once you made it back to your place, you asked shinji to stay in the entrance while you searched for something. he wasn't quite sure what you needed to search for while he was here, but he took the opportunity try and look around at what he could see of your apartment.
"aha!" he heard you cheer, making him turn to try and see you again.
eventually you stepped back into view with a smile on your lips and a pen in your hand. making your way to him, you leaned up to give him a kiss on the cheek before saying that you needed to head to bed and that you hoped he had a good time tonight. shinji understood that it was a request for him to head out, and he replied that he hoped you enjoyed your night as well.
starting his walk back home, shinji stuffs his hands in his pockets and feels the distinct feeling of a piece of paper he hadn't placed there and pulls it out to observe it.
"call me ~(y/n)" the note read, with a phone number below your name.
shinji wondered how early was too early to call you as he recalled the evening you two had, the kiss you placed on his cheek and stared at the piece of paper in his hand.

hello! first of all: i love your style and your AU, even if i've only discovered you thanks to your eva's fanarts! i'd love to see an eventual comic from it! and sorry for the earlier spam lol
i'm really interested about the relationships Shinji has with the adult figures. Misato seems more a professional figure more than the motherly/big sister role she originally had, while Mari seems more inclined to communicate with him, as well as having a more confidential tone. is Yui the means of union between them? What is the relationship between Yui and Mari? and finally, what made you approach Yui's character the way you are approaching her? Yui seems a very fascinating character in many ways and i can't wait to see more about her.
i'm sorry for the linguistic mistakes and the long questions, i'd be very happy if you feel like answering. take all the time you want to answer!
HELLO! So many interesting questions..
Misato does have a more professional role because of the addition of Yui, but she also serves as the "better" mother to the pilots. Yui isn't as clean and innocent as people think she is so Misato has to fill the role as the not evil adult figure. She's not the wisest nor the most mentally stable but she has to make an effort because she cares for the pilots.
Mari on the other hand is close to Shinji's age so she's not really an adult figure to him. She's a bit like his older sister (not that he'd admit it tho LOL). She gives good advices but Shinji is scared to confine in her because he tends to avoid facing the truth. She teases him a lot but cares too.
She's basically Yui's little worker since she's been working for her since very young (she would babysit shinji when yui and gendo were away).
The way I'm approaching Yui's character is for her to be Gendo's complete polar opposite. Commander Gendo is cold and calculating; he doesn't give out praise very often but it's the scarcity that keeps Shinji going (for the first half of the show). Commander Yui is warm and welcoming, she's constantly checking on the pilots to make sure they feel safe and motivated. Au shinji pilots because he doesn't want to disappoint his mother; he thinks his job is highly important.
But also she's basically a Makima archetype.

“Hey Shinji, could you put some sunscreen on my back?”
Shinjiro turned towards you as you spoke, a bottle of sunscreen clasped in your hand as you lazed on a towel under the shade of a beach umbrella. It was a scorching hot Summer this year, and just like every other year your rag tag group of friends would spend your Summer vacation at the Kirijo mansion. It seemed that no matter what or where any of you were in life, without fail you’d always end up meeting back up on this beach and get back together. It was a small blessing that you fondly looked forward to every year and Shinjiro shared that same sentiment.
Shinjiro nodded wordlessly as he joined you under the shade of the umbrella, the sand crunching softly as he knelt down next to you. He plucked the bottle of sunscreen from your hand as you turned your back towards him, your ears filled with the chatter of the lovely ladies of the group as they chose to bake in the sun for a while and get a tan. No matter how much Akihiko advised against that, they brushed him off with a wave and a shared giggle. A soft hum fell from your lips as Shinjiro touched your back with the warm palm of his hand, gently peeling the drawstring of your swimsuit from your back so he could apply the sunscreen.
“Just a warning, it’s gonna be cold” Shinjiro supplied.
You playfully rolled your eyes. “I’m sure it won’t be that bad.”
You immediately ate your own words as a cold spurt of sunscreen landed on your back and you shrieked. A shiver rolled down your spine, goosebumps prickling your flesh despite the searing blazing heat of the day. A soft hiss whistled through your teeth as a warm chuckle breezed past Shinjiro’s lips.
“Told ya it’d be cold.”
You shook your head with a loud huff. “Smartass” you playfully bit back.
You pressed the seam of your lips together in a tight, thin line as Shinjiro’s strong hands started to rub the lotion into your back and you swallowed whatever words that lay heavy on the tip of your tongue. You fell silent for a long moment, simply enjoying the way Shinjiro massaged the sunscreen into your back, making sure that every inch was covered as the tips of his calloused fingers sent pleasant tingles dancing along your back. Your entire body felt like it was going to melt into a warm puddle of goo under his ministrations and you were a little embarrassed when you were finally broken from your stupor.
“You seem to be enjoying that” Yukari teased, peering at you from over the rim of her sunglasses.
A knowing smile tilted her lips as she stuck her tongue out at you, causing you to scowl and wave her away. Shinjiro handed you back the bottle.
“All done” he announced.
He went to stand up but you were quick to wrap your hand around his wrist and force him to stay seated. A pinch formed between his brow as he gave you a curious look, head cocked to the side as he stared at you.
“Did you remember to put sunscreen on?” you inquired.
Shinjiro looked thoughtful. “Hmm. No.”
You sighed softly as you gestured for him to make himself comfortable. “Well, you’re not gonna play beach volleyball with the boys until I lather you up.”
A soft snort blew from his mouth but he nodded in compliance, staying seated for you so you could drench his body in sunscreen. The other boys of the group noticed Shinjiro’s absence and Junpei called out to him.
“Come on dude, the sun's up and we’re ready to go!”
“In a minute” Shinjiro called back as you rubbed a healthy amount of sunscreen all over his back.
Junpei couldn’t help the grin that split his face when he saw the two of you under the shade of the beach umbrella and nor could he keep his big mouth shut as he cupped his hands around his face and called out to you.
“Hey, when you’re done over there, can you oil me up too?”
You could feel the tension tighten between Shinjiro’s shoulder blades as he shot Junpei a scowl. A loud sigh puffed up your cheeks as you rolled your eyes. Even after graduating, Junpei still kept some of those childish behaviours.
“In your dreams Junpei!” you shouted back.
Junpei placed a hand over his chest, feigning hurt as a grimace tugged at his features. It didn’t last long because in the next instance Makoto decided to chuck the volleyball straight at his head while yelling:
“Catch!”
You got to witness Junpei’s unfortunate fall from grace as the ball knocked him on the cheek and he landed face first in the sand. The entire beach erupted with laughter at your friend’s expense.
“Nice receive!” Akihiko chimed in.
Junpei groaned as he peeled himself from the sand, spitting out the small grains that had gotten stuck in his mouth as he sent Makoto a dirty look. He grabbed the valley that had landed beside him and he jumped to his feet, ready to chase down Makoto for sweet revenge. With a shake of your head you finished applying the sunscreen, placing a kiss on the crown of Shinjiro’s head before he stood.
“All done, you can go play now. The girls and I will join you guys in a few minutes.”
With a quick nod and a peck on the cheek Shinjiro ran out to join the other boys, completely prepared for the first day of your Summer vacation.
