Thinking about how special the connection between Jeanne and Michael in Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis actually was.

Angels in Genesis don't care for humans for the most part but Michael does and wants to cooperate with them.

He tells fellow angels that he tasked some valiant humans with finding the plot key of Genesis.

But the reaction he gets is "hmph, so your beloved maiden then?"

Which is such a small line that could be misstranslated for all i know, and yet its so full of meaning. Its his beloved maiden, his champion he keeps an eye on and whom he is proud of. So proud of this one single person and their connection some angels might even slightly mock it(?) (At least Raphael)

That connection they had in the anime was not only Important to Jeanne who gained power and acknowledgment of the faith she devoted herself to but also to Michael. And its so meaningful and aaaa— i don't know what else to say

ISN'T THAT ALL FROM SHINGEKI NO BAHAMUT

Cygames has a lot of games (including snb and gbf or even umamusume) and they cross over a lot, sharing a lot of characters even though the lore may change

Lucifer, Azazel, Albert, Yurius, Vania, Jeanne d'Arc, and Grimnir for example come from SNB to start with, but have been in almost every Cygames titles since (including stuff like Dragelia Lost)

Most of the time, the characters are fully reinterpreted with a new lore to go with the story of the game, other time when it's actual cross over event the character from the game itself cross over (pretty sure Percival is gbf!Percival crossing over for instance)

Shingeki no Bahamut: GENESIS is about a cool ginger afro bounty hunter who, due contract, is forced to show a demon girl her way home. Except actually he got no clue where it is bc he lied to her.

The story includes: High Fantasy, great designs, demons and angels in makeup, artstyle including colored lips for everyone, a huge dragon, my fave depiction of anime Jeanne d'Arc ever, former best friend chasing the bountyhunter to kill him which could be summed with lot of screaming the Mc's name FAVAROOOOOOO. Anime is bit goofily written but overall got serious tone + bits of comedy. And it treats the characters with overall respect. ALSO THE OPENING SLAYS
