I have a few!

I feel like Soda and Pony just let out the most obnoxious burps after they’re finished eating and Darry HATES it because they’re so gross about it too

Darry always has to suppress himself from smiling Pony’s parent escher conferences because all his teachers say such good things about him and he’s proud of his brother

Additionally I feel like Pony has a few teachers he LOATHES and openly complains about and Darry’s just like “suck it up you’re gonna have them all year no sense in complaining” and he gets home from parent teacher conferences and he’s just like “I see why you hate them”

Soda hates being barefoot and would rather walk on hot rods with socks than the normal ground without them

Soda and Steve ransack the snack aisle at the DX except they always end up eating too much and suffer through being lethargic at work because of it

Soda would make those little macaroni signs for Pony at his track meets that say “go Ponyboy” and Pony loves it

Darry likes listening to shin brothers’ heartbeats and the sound of their breathing or whatever other internal noise because it assures him that they’re okay and he isn’t gonna lose them-he never outwardly admits it but when he’s positive they’re asleep he just rests his head on their stomachs and excuses it with “you moved in your sleep”

Pony is a wonderful baker actually

Mrs Curtis used to know how to play piano and taught Pony how to sing and Darry how to play piano. Pony doesn’t sing much anymore because he’s too shy and thinks it’s “not tuff” and to Darry it’s too painful. One time though after work he just started playing and honestly damn near cried. Pony maybe started singing along because it was a song he knew and they just sit in silence for a moment

Wait I’m crying over the idea of Darry going to school conferences, he would be SO proud to hear how well Pony is doing and would give him such a big hug at home and tell him how happy and proud he is. Pony would be like me as a child and the second Darry gets home he’s demanding to know exactly what the teachers said. And the first one is so real, they’re really just gross boys at their core 😭 and Soda would be one of those people who sleeps w socks on and Pony‘s just like alright… questionable behavior. Soda and Steve absolutely steal shit from the DX all the time, it’s a slow day and they’re bored, what else are they supposed to do besides gorge themselves in the break room on candy and soda? Darry is very suspicious when they come home and aren’t hungry for dinner after that. Soda making signs for Ponyboy is so 🥺 he’s the sweetest boy ever. I know you specifically said Darry but I can honestly see all three of them finding heartbeats comforting because like you said, it reminds them that the others are okay ☹️ piano playing and singing is real, I like to think too that Soda attempted to learn how to play the piano as a little kid but he would just cry because it was so boring to him and his mom was just like fuck it don’t learn how to play the piano 💀 I don’t have any name hcs for the Curtis parents but Carolina is a very pretty name. And yes Soda’s eyes are gorgeous in the sunlight, he’s just completely perfect

Review:

The bloody and tension filled sequel to Last of the Talons and the second book in the trilogy. The Reaper of Sunpo is presumed dead... and she's back to get revenge... however after her transformation from ingesting poison in the previous book she is changed...and this change has something talking to her in her head, slowly taking over her body and forcing her to fulfill the prophecy that would make her the Empress of All and lead to many bodies dropping and a war impending... not to mention the possibly destruction of the very Emperor she loves. Shin Lina survived and now she is changed, she now has potent Imugi venom in her veins and a voice in her head that is slowly consuming her. All she wants to do is get revenge against all of those who had killed those she cared for. Yet she is slowly losing her mind and herself to a prophecy that foretells her becoming the new Queen of the Imugi and the one to take it all... Then there is Rui, the beautiful Dokkaebi Emperor who loves her, and whom she's discovered is her red string of fate soulmate... but the string of fate works in two ways.. they may be romantic soul mates or mortal enemies.... only time will tell what happens as Lina slowly loses her mind and control of her own body to the prophecy. Can love win or will revenge cost Lina everything and in the end... can Lina and Rui be tied together by love or will it turn into a war neither of them could ever imagine. I am so excited for the finale in the trilogy and how it all ends, I am rooting for Lina and Rui but after the cliffhanger of what happened in this book I am just hoping they get a happy ending. This was such a good book and this series has been an absolute joy to read!

*Spoiler: Lina begins hearing the Prophecy " a sentient prophecy hell bent on fulfilling itself and taking control of Lina's mind and body". Rui and Lina discover they are soulmates yet with Lina being turned into an Imugi, a Dokkaebi's enemy, can they trust each other. Rui was forced to become the pied piper and kidnap humans for the imugi in order to save his people. Lina is losing herself and can't seem to fight the voice in her head. Rui tries to help her but when one of Lina's enemies kills Eunbi (Lina's beloved little sister) Lina completely gives up and gives the reigns of her mind and body over to the Prophecy. Rui and her do get married before this as Rui needed a way to distract the prophecy controlling Lina while keeping an eye on Lina to make her safe. Rui is determined to save Lina, however Lina is trapped in her own mind now and trying to avoid the grief and lost of her sister. The Prophecy has begun to take over.*

RatMat ballet, with all the complicated armor I could manage. Screw Malthael's shins. And his shoes. Bet he trips over them all the time. Between his ribbons and Rathma's hair they definitely get all tangled up, but somehow manage to have grace still.

I actually love how Rathma's armor turned out.

Time Fixit Lina is a peach. Inarius is trying on a nephalem-sona so he doesn't stick out so bad once all the other angels die (rip).

Operation: Wolfstar

Microfic for the @wolfstarmicrofic prompt ‘Blue Ink’ 

“What about if we-“ James went silent rather abruptly as the common room door opened, Remus stepping through into the cavernous space that was somehow made warm by the perpetually roaring fire and soft, worn sofas.

“Moony,” James greeted the other boy giving Sirius enough warning to snap his folder closed; “come and sit mate, how were rounds?”

It was sixth year, and Sirius was quietly enamoured with a completely unaware Remus Lupin, his best friend of six years. He figured that if he had any chance at all then Moony would’ve let him know by now. He’d been out since his parents kicked him out the year before, and only received quiet acceptance and occasional propositions from their classmates. Classmates that weren’t Remus. Safe to say they were let down gently.

“Nothing spectacular, everything looks set for Saturday night. What are you working on, Pads?”

As Remus leant forward over the coffee table, crowding Sirius from behind to get a look at the A4 Lever Arch folder that contained all sorts of plans and strategies that James had been helping him with. The folder that had ‘Operation: Wolfstar’ written in blue ink across the front of it.

“Just, just a prank me and Prongs are working on,” Sirius mumbled, blushing as he held the cardboard tightly to the table to avoid Remus getting a look at the plans inside; “nothing for you to see,”

“Oh,” Remus said quietly, sounding hurt as he sat backwards; “okay then. I have a bit of a date tonight. A study date. So I’ll see you later, alright?”

James whistled teasingly, falling dramatically to one side as Remus shoved him in the shoulder on his way past; “who’s it with, Moony?”

Remus chewed at his lip, the faintest tinge of pink high on his cheekbones as he watched them both for a long second before he spoke; “Caradoc. He asked me out and I thought… why not, y’know?”

“You-but-“ Sirius spluttered for a moment, pressing up onto his knees as he watched his best friend shift uncomfortably; “I thought- you like boys too?”

“I do,” Remus confirmed; “maybe- maybe just boys, actually. I know that Lina and I were together for a little while but it’s just not for me, I don’t think. That’s okay, right?”

Sirius was still gaping in shock at the revelation – this wasn’t a scenario he and Prongs had planned for.

James responded for the pair of them, kicking Sirius in the shin to get him to snap out of his shock; “of course it’s alright, Re, you know we don’t care, do we Padfoot?”

Gathering all the courage he could muster, Sirius tripped as he stood and rushed over to the lanky boy with wild hair that he wanted more than anything, taking both of his hands in his and holding them close.

What he meant to say was some sort of supportive statement, to reaffirm that Remus’ sexuality didn’t change anything. That they would still be the bestest of friends, Marauders for life. What actually came out was a little less sensical; “does that mean I have a chance?”

Remus choked on his breath at the shorter boys words, the earnestness in his eyes even as he turned bright red with embarrassment.

“You… you’d want a chance with me?”

“Of course he wants a chance with you, he’s planned your frigging bonding ceremony already!”

James’ exclamation made Sirius drop one of Remus’ hands in an attempt to smack the Potter boy, who now had the ‘Operation: Wolfstar’ folder open to the ‘weddings & ceremonies’ section.

The only thing that stopped him from chasing Prongs around the room was Remus pulling him closer, cupping his cheek in his large, scarred hand and forcing him to meet silver eyes to amber. He was so lost in the sensation of Remus’ thumb stroking slowly along the thick skin of his cheek, he nearly missed the careful whisper; “you have more than a chance, Sirius Orion. I didn’t- you should have said something, Pads,”

“I was scared you wouldn’t want me,” he murmured; “I’m too much-“

“Stop,” Remus commanded; “you are not too much. I don’t care what they told you, you are brilliant, and there is nothing about you that is too much for me.”

“Promise?”

“I promise,” Remus tugged him even closer, wrapping him up in his arms, making his feel safe and steady like no one else could. Soon, there was another weight at his back, James inserting himself into the hug and squeezing them both tightly together.

today for six sentence sunday i will be posting six sentences from the outline of one of the fics I've been working on for mashwood week! i know, i know, i don't post outline bits but this thing is unhinged enough it could be its own fic in and of itself.

It's for Day One of @mashwoodweek's event, and I chose the "Soulmate AU" prompt. If i manage to get it up this week, hell yes, if not, y'all get to see it in a couple weeks when its done (hopefully) (is it actually six sentences? no but sentences aren't real in outlines)

(wolfwood is impressed by the mark lina left on the guy’s face. He’s gonna fuck up a man for a kid he’s only just met and he straight up tells her she did a good job with that kick. eriks protests but meryl shuts him up with a shoe to his shin)

“Let us handle this,” Meryl says. “He’s got a problem with people who think they can hurt kids.”

Eriks tries to protest, but Wolfwood is out of the bar before he can, Punisher slung over his shoulders and eyes hidden behind Vash’s glasses and Vash’s old coat as his own.

The gang – and the Fake Vash, Wolfwood knows immediately that he’s fake, everything about the man is wrong – laugh about the fact that they sent a preacher out instead of Lina, especially when Wolfwood talks to them to appeal to them. When they don’t agree, he’s like “Hm. Shame.” and unleashes the Punisher, revealing that she’s a Massive Fucking Machine Gun that he uses to shoot out all the tires of their vehicles and injure a good number of the raiders, chasing them off.

Lina thinks Meryl and Wolfwood are Cool As Hell (they are) and Eriks is just pathetically grateful things didn’t get worse. There’s something so familiar about him, something that makes Meryl & WW think of Vash, but he’s probably not their idiot.

vash, giggling and eating fruit: it's been so long since I made one of these videos I was wondering how to break the ice. I guess a pratfall is a good, in-character start. Worth it!

*for a few moments vash taps his fingers together and glances around awkwardly. Finally he slumps forward, head in his hands, takes a deep breath, and sits up again*

Vash, with a big grin: I never intended to make any more videos, actually. Didn't feel right after stuff happened, y'know. Kind of awkward, right, considering? vash: that was to give you time to laugh. I hope you took advantage of it. Chances are you just imagined kicking me in the shin, though. Um, haha, I don't have anything particular to say. Hello! I'm fine! Or, alive, at least. My dignity and my backside are badly bruised

*vash pauses*

vash: that was to give my absent cameraman or a certain short-tempered lady a chance to say I have no dignity, to which I reply: what's it to you?

*pause*

vash: you kicked me again, didn't you? What am I, your personal slapstick clown? Why, I oughta come over there and . . . haha, yeah, I oughta . . .

*clicking the last pieces of the gun together vash turns to look back at the sky which is turning pink and red. He continues to look at it as he speaks*

vash: Getting late, I should get ready to hit the hay.

*vash grabs the phone and his face comes into focus*

vash: oh, and, I'm gonna watch the sunset from the cactus. If you don't hear from me I'm probably stuck up there. And . . . it's not a promise, but . . . see you guys later.

i do not think they would be in there long. lina would be fireballing her way out and phil would be Supreme Justice Punching until the metal gave way. the property damage would be immense.

assuming that they convinced themselves there was a very good reason to sit down and wait for the lift to start working again though: i feel like they'd play cards. like, in this scenario there's nothing to get mad at and nothing to fight, so they just...turn back into normal people for a little while, same as the scooby gang does every time they sit down to eat. phil produces a deck of cards from fuck knows where and lina's like "eh??? really???" but then the camera would jump cut to 5 minutes in the future and they're sitting on the floor of the elevator playing to win and discussing what they think gourry and amelia are doing.

i honestly don't know enough about lina's younger days to have a solid grasp but if i had to guess i'd say probably she was one of those kids who likes to make potions out of leaves and grab sticks off the ground to pretend they're wands and staves, but since they also make excellent whacking sticks, it's more of an "i cast Hit You Really Hard On The Shins for one spell slot" situation.

i can't imagine her being that interested in your regular children's toys. i CAN imagine her being a child-typical violence machine with anything she gets her hands on
