Brothers, and a Sore Thumb ~~

Wanted to do something of Fluffy!Tyrael and Fluffy!Inarius interacting with each other. And CantankerRat somehow got mixed up in the fray.

If Rathma looks completely out of place here, good! He is actually drawn in a slightly different style than the other two, on account of being from a different Fic/Au/Thing

I am particularly pleased with how the damaged parts of Inarius's wings turned out

Thinkin' about history and nephalem and relics and pinch-pots.

Someone asks Rathma what the oldest thing he owns is. Most of his Stuff from ye olden days was either destroyed or just disintegrated over time, but he has a few mementos and things. (Technically the sword he stole from his father is the oldest, but he doesn't count that as a nephalem object.)

Most clothes are gone, same with paper. Some stuff was just straight up exploded during one act of great violence or another. He doesn't have Much from his childhood.

His oldest surviving item is like. A li'l clay pot. That he made when he was eight and discovered clay by digging around a river-bed. Started messing playing with it as kids do. Made little sculptures. And made a little pinch-pot. Went to show mama Lilith who wasn't super impressed but still fired it for him so it wouldn't fall apart and make a mess (she's a demon with fire spells okay she can be a walking kiln for her dumb baby's first clay projects if she wants to).

And coincidentally, because Rathma is the first mortal to ever exist, anything he owns from the Before Times is also One Of The First Mortal Objects to exist.

Like to imagine he drops it into some human's hands like 'o yeah this is the first mortal piece of pottery. Ever. U can still see my claw-prints. Don't break it.'

what's the proper way to add tags? I add them like I'm in AO3, just having whole conversations and existential crises in there, and no one will ever use those tags ever again. They're just for me, my little secluded corner of the hellsite.

An ornery old cuss

The Word of the Day is “ornery.” I used it to describe my friend, who just underwent knee surgery. I told him he was too ornery to follow doctor’s orders to rest and recuperate.

When I called him ornery, I used it in its common sense of cantankerous, irritable, stubborn and grouchy. But that’s not always what it meant. “Ornery” is just a regional variant of the word “ordinary” that showed up in the American South in the early 1800s. If you were ornery back then, you were ordinary, commonplace, nothing special.

Over time – and it didn’t take a whole lot of time – ornery started to mean not just ordinary, but inferior, of poor quality, even coarse, ugly and lazy. From there it was a short jump to easily annoyed and touchy and a quick hop to cantankerous and irritable.

If he has any sense at all, my buddy won’t be making any short jumps or quick hops any time soon. Just take the good drugs and rest that knee, pal.

Thinkin' about the Death Duo and Flying

Malthael the Aspect of Wisdom was a beautiful flyer. Almost like a dancer. Not too speedy, not too bulky, but elegant. Refined.

Malthael the Angel of Death is... well he can fly, but it's overall pretty indelicate. Most of this is due to the reworking of his wing structure (yes it matters. I like to HC that angel wings work like thrusters, and they gotta aim them properly see), and he just hasn't had the time to get used to his new wings. They're so rigid.

Rathma was speedy af. Thin, kukri wings made for tight turns and quick flaps. Obvs he doesn't fly at all now though.

...He's probably kinda oily. Birds have preen-glands to coat their feathers in a bit of oil, but without any feathers to smear that oil onto...greasy man.

If they could get along for five minutes they might bond over a mutual loss in aviation. Alas.
