Q: How and why did Shimitsu Sei form?

A: Ame created the group to pursue her dreams of being an idol. When she asked us to join, we couldn't say no!

Q: What's the story behind your group name, "Shimitsu Sei"?

A: Shimitsu Sei, 四光生, or the English translation Four Light Life, represents us four and our dream of spreading light to others' lives! The logo is currently a work-in-progress, but we'll get to it soon!

Q: What's your group color?

A: #FF95C5 (pink)!! Ame's is #A1C3D1 (pale grayish-blue), Kayako's is #FF5D6F (light reddish-pink), Mochi's is #FFE697 (light yellow), and Riri's is #94BFA1 (light green)!!

favorite character: makio and asa

favorite arc/episode/scene: this is going to sound a little predictable but the last arc will always be my favorite. or maybe i would say it started with the mapo eggplant chapter and from there on, i can't chose my favorite moment. love everything

character i think is underrated: kasamachi and daigo. absolute love them and think they are such great characters in term of development and construction. and, in sake of the story, they add so much to not only to the main characters but to the overall narrative. 

character i think is overrated: none. in fact i think people should love every character from it 

favorite ship/pairing: hmmmm none? i really like makio and kasamachi, absolute love their dynamic, but it think that it would be wrong for me to wish them to be together romantically, for both of them

something i love about the show/movie: there are a lot of things that i admire about ikokki. it all starts with the writing, that i think it's phenomenal and so, so well constructed. you can see how much love and thought sensei put while writing every chapter, even the ones that were short. also, i absolute love the self discovery that every characters goes through in different aspects of their lives. they all have a story to tell and a new story to live and i think that's beautiful — and also a little hard to write because sometimes we authors want to focus more on the character's past rather than their future and i think sensei manages to do both beautifully. makio and asa's relationship is also one of my favorite points of the manga

favorite character: i think it's pretty clear thinking about how many character analysis i made about him but shima lmfao and mitsumi as well!! 

favorite arc/episode/scene: oh boy, chapters 46 and 53 for suuuuuuuuuure!!! the "break up chapter" will always be one of my favorite chapters of all times. i think it's so beautifully written and so well executed, not only in relations to the story itself but if we take it out of context, it will still work well and be a very solid chapter. i find it gorgeous how the importance of platonic love was elevated and how much they care for each other. now chapter 53 is a direct response to that, imo. it's a recall for what shima was feeling in the break up but also a response to all the feelings he started to build up after it, slowly building an arc for him to understand his feelings and his preferences. just fenomenal 

character i think is underrated: ririka. ririka is an amazing character and i think we're going to see way more of her story that will prove that to us. i don't accept all the hate she receives, just proves the point of those who hated her inside the story. yes, she does have flaws, like everyone else. and remember: she suffered a big trauma and had to keep it inside her for a long time, without the proper time to understand it

character i think is overrated: honestly i don't think there's a character that i don't like here so imo everyone should be very loved

favorite ship/pairing: yuzumako!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i do love shimitsu a lot too, think their relationship is gorgeous, be it platonic or romantic. love mikamukai too, they are the funniest 

something i love about the show/movie: i wrote a very extensive thread about it but i absolute love how skip to loafer focus a lot on "i love you as a person", elevating a lot the importance of platonic love. it's so well constructed and so well applied inside the narrative that it's so easy to fall in love with every character and their flaws. love them so so much

Edgy Yandere Simulator AU thing?

The 1980s mode is a proper yandere simulator. I don't see why the 202X version is going down a similar route considering that Ayano is just a mentally disturbed kuudere and not a yandere. A key thing about the 202X version is info-chan. She's more of a plot device in the actual game and I think she deserves more of a purpose. So, here's my idea on how to make Yandere Simulator a cool horror game.

So obviously it won't be called "Yandere Simulator" if you're not simulating being a Yandere. I think a title like "The murders of Akedemi High" would be more sutible. 1980s more is a prequel right? So why should the 202X version be almost the same but 30 years in the future? Ayano doesn't feel emotions and only feels them when she's with Taro. In this universe: Ayano is an assassin like in mission mode, and works for info-chan just like in the real game. Ayano instead feels that dopamine rush when torturing and murdering people. Unlike mission mode, Taro is still alive and is now a yandere. That's how the 202X and the 1080's mode are different, as you want to murder a specific target, but someone's already done the job for you. To get past the week, you have to get to the victim first, before he does. I also thought that setting it so it's each month a new victim appears would make more sense, and each level is 1 week in that month. If you get to after school on Friday, then taro kills your target and you get a game over. I think it'll be a cool idea if she slowly loses sanity as the week progresses as she gets more desperate to escape the prison that is feeling empty and emotionless. I got the idea of Taro being a yandere from a concept video on YouTube by Akira Shimitsu where the rivals swapped genders as the roles changed. I would leave the rivals as girls as it's less about love and more about a lust for blood. Maybe Ayano can be like a succubus to lure them in to their death? Idk. It would make sense why Taro would want to kill them as he wouldn't know Ayano is going to kill them off anyway. I also think it'll be interesting if Taro goes completely insane in week 9 where his sister, Hanako, falls in love with Ayano. To make sure they don't become a couple, he kills her (which he doesn't do in the concept video I mentioned earlier btw) but absolutely loses it after. That's when he realised there's something very wrong with him, but at that point he'll do anything to be with Ayano.

Info-chan gives you stuff in return for "info points" (which you get by putting microphones and cameras everywhere) and panty shots. I'm taking this a step further by info-chan helping Ayano in exchange for nudes of various girls that Ayano kidnapped and tortures in her basement. Oh and I guess panty shots too, but what kind of school has short skirts as the uniforms? Info-chan will say this is for "selling on" as she mentions she does that with the panty shots in the original game, but she actually keeps a lot of them to herself for her own porn collection. Taro will eventually realise Ayano is connected to info-chan, so he'll try to kill her at the end of the game.

I have no idea how I would make this into a fan game. It's very big and in depth and I don't know how to code in 3D. I think it'll be interesting if the 1080s mode was it's own separate game as a prequel, then this can be the dark horrific one but still with the pink aesthetic in comparison to 1080s mode vapour-wave aesthetic. The idea could do with some polishing, but what do you think?

On the outside, Mochi is an energetic, eccentric, excitable girl. She enjoys spamming memes and emojis in the group chat and is jumping around during dance practice. She gives encouragement freely and doesn't hesitate to show affection. On the inside? Mochi has no true feelings inside and has been living by a mask most of her life. She's apathetic and emotionless. She looks down on others and has no interest in them, but the main reason she created her mask was because no one understood her feelings.

the only thing her acting mask can't keep up is their eyes. They always look so dead and throw people off for a minute, like where the heck did the light go in a girl that bubbly and optimistic ???

Mochi has studied psychology extensively to perfect her mask, and she knows exactly how to use someone else's emotions to manipulate them because of it

Relationships:

Ame - Mochi agreed immediately when Ame invited her to Shimitsu Sei. She respects Ame for creating the group and her determination, and tells her this but in her happy mask form, so Ame never takes her words to heart. They're on good terms, but they don't fully understand one another, and can't be wholly comfortable with one another. Situations do get slightly awkward for Ame when they're alone.

Mochi - From their studies of psychology, Mochi can tell there's something going on with Kayako, but doesn't care to figure out what it is. She's glad that someone else is also happy and energetic, as they find situations with three other terribly shy people awkward, even for them.

Riri - Riri is a little (a lot) scared of Mochi because she can tell that Mochi is wearing a mask. She tries to make Mochi happy through little gestures and acts of service, but Mochi is easily able to see her intentions and dismisses them. She finds Riri annoying, but entertains her sometimes just to see the hope and happiness rise on her face, and then immediately fall again when the empath sees that her acts didn't work.
