Sugar Rush : July 2023 CPNs 🫶🏼
Tumblr media
and so I have decided to shift the candy recap into a monthly release cause it’s too heavy for me to do the 6 months like i’ve been doing for the past years. I also thought about enjoying the last days of the year instead of stressing over editing the post like before. It will also ( hopefully ) make the readers appreciate every month more and not be too overwhelmed by the information. tho i have to say, there were a lot that happened tor July too.
enjoy the candies or catch up! ^^
• XZS vlog candies and sharing same brands
• HK newspapers featured them attending the Bay Area Film Concert
Tumblr media Tumblr media
• WYB giving us a sign for Yuguyao airing with his pokemon shirt ( part one )
• Shiying and XZ said the same thing? & XZ hinted with ‘don’t say so much’ ( part two )
• Yuguyao ( the longest promise ) related CPNs part three
• YIBO and XZS posting so close to each other @ 7/4/2023 and the 18 hint
• THEM PLAYING WITH THEIR LONG HAIR LIKE THAT ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Tumblr media
• Ruxi interview clues with XZ ( part four )
• Another bottled joy CPN
• Yuguyao sweets part V ( double standards & similarities )
• Sending each other voice message / video during CQL filming 💕
• XZ prefers shi ying x baili?
• Most likely paying some entertainment accounts to post rational advice for fans
• the use of 🤷🏻‍♀️ gesture
• feeding the dumpling 🥟
• small candies from one and only universal studios resort event
• Clues from XZS 7/11 video bts from 2021 birthday photoshoot
• Another example of posting so close from each other
Tumblr media
• yuguyao sweets part 6 and other things
• XZ once again shows off his card phonecase
• XZ and his preference for a stable relationship
• Wang Chuanjun holds dandan doll
• Entertainment circle connections
• XZ said he does not know if he & WYB are good friends 😂😂😂😂
• Another Bottled Joy clue
• Shiying x Xieyun on HS
• Similarity between XZS and YBO - this is not anything new because we have always been thinking that these studios have a connection. But this comes after the alleged exit of LRLG in YBO team. So cpfs are happy to see this again. Tho it does not confirm anything.
• doge + puppy preference
• In some screening previews of One and Only in theaters, XZ’s tsingtao short film ad was shown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
• not CPN, but turtles taking over YH family concert and showing support 💛💛💛
Tumblr media
• WYB looking at light signs @ YH concert 🧡
• Bottled Joy continues to not give AF and show their cpf bias
• Givenchy jumpsuits
• Video of the on the last day of shoot and XZ telling WYB he lost his chance but Bobo said he still has it
• Yibo knows about zodiacs/horoscopes + Leo x Libra compatibility reading from 2021
• CPN mix : reading about themselves on the internet, GG spending time with sick yibo, KXZ cue One and Only (?) Da Peng and 10:05
• Influx of new BXGs in the BJYX ST and GG changing his schedule when WYB was out sick
• Chen Shuo’s room includes KXZ movie projector
• XZS and YBO back at it again with their similarities
• A new clue in the BAH rumor ( massage parlor )
• Da bao and Xiao bao in Douyin
• Drawing detail in Ultraman Chen Shuo drawing + the posting time is 22:30 ( ai ai zan ) and on his cheeks is W and a heart. Again, we don’t know if the “cpf” friendly people are back on YBO team but nonetheless, we are enjoying this.
• Adding this here from the recent fake rumor posted 7/31/23. The summary is buying a green bag and it will be used. So we’re just waiting for either one of them to be seen with that lol. WYB is know for his black or that camo palace bag plus chanel. ZZ is mostly Gucci and Tod’s so i think it will be easy to spot.
That is all for this month! As with all my other recaps, it is impossible for me to add every single one. Most ( if not all ) of these are ones heavily talked about in the cpf circle. Please do not ask me to add things, I won’t do it. If there is a CPN that spoke to you for the month of July, that’s not on here then feel free to reply or reblog with your thoughts. This not an avenue to nitpick this post and say i forgot this or that. Thank you.

2023 Year End List - #1
Tumblr media
夢之駭客 Dream Hacker - Otay:onii
Main Genres: Post-Industrial, Experimental
A decent sampling of: Neoclassical Darkwave, Electroacoustic, Glitch, Industrial Techno, Drone
Brace yourself, cause from here on out this is mostly just gonna be me fanboying and gushing uncontrollably.
Back in 2021, I had championed the Chinese American singer/songwriter/composer/producer/performance artist Lane Shi Otayonii a.k.a. Otay:onii for her experimental record Ming Ming on that year's roundup, describing her potential to become "one of the greatest producers of the decade". But who is this enigmatic artist?
Lane Shi divides her time and energy between creating and touring with her hardcore noise rock band Elizabeth Colour Wheel, and performing studio black magic with her solo project under the Otay:onii name.
She is also an artist who regularly alternates her base of operations between two worlds, residing at different times in New York City and Shanghai. The duality of her identity as a Chinese American is a narrative thread that appears many times throughout the artist's work, informing some of the thematic elements of her records.
According to a really great interview she did with the YouTuber Heinos, the moniker 'Otayonii' itself is actually a name that was given to the artist when she met a Seneca First Nations man, who asked if he could call her by the name for 'wolf' in his ancestral language. She liked the sound and what it represented, and so decided to own her new given title.
Musically, Otay:onii is primarily a post-industrial project, but Lane Shi regularly incorporates aspects of darkwave, glitch, drone, traditional Chinese music, and electroacoustic music into her work. Her signature sound is equal parts atmospheric, lovecraftian, primordial, playful, and frenetic. She's kinda like if an ancient vengeful demi-god reemerged from the bowels of the Earth, and learned how to download and play around with studio software on a laptop.
As a vocalist, Lane Shi possesses a contralto range, and falls under one of my favourite niche categories of woman singers I like to call "force-of-nature belters", along with the likes of Tanya Tagaq and Björk. She has a trademark lower register that I would describe as a witch's snarl, a gentler middle register, as well as a higher register that she usually reserves for piercing battle cries and wailing like a banshee.
Her 2018 debut Nag was a comparatively more minimalist, grayscale undertaking, heavy on the more ambient and gothic tones of her sound. A genuinely solid first effort, if a bit less memorable than later records, barring the deliciously dreary eponymous song which is still among her very best.
2021's Ming Ming was an upgrade in all respects. Pulling major influences from Chinese folk music and folklore, I described the record in my previous Otay:onii review as a "true Pandora's Box . . . like the story of a mortal who attempts to enter the realm of the gods". Lots of ominous industrial cyber-magic, with a rare few moments that could have perhaps been edited down or omitted altogether to increase the force of its impact.
So, what to make of her latest then?
Dream Hacker is an exorcism. An inferno of ancient eternal flames envelops this absolutely bonkers and surreal listening experience. Each song carries powerful buildups in intensity combined with impossibly elegant structural competence. Far and away one of the most visceral and transcendent records I have ever beheld. This gets into your bloodstream, like an innate, raw instinct towards entropy.
Otay:onii's work has never sounded quite this immediate, energetic, and dynamic, thanks to the incorporation of avant-garde industrial techno beats that gives the whole project a mighty propulsion. Even during its quieter moments, you as the listener are never far from being engulfed in its unruly fire and brimstone. So many little leftfield moments that made me audibly go "what the fuck?" upon my first listen, too.
To me, this is album of the year not just because it poses the best collection of songs from an artist in 2023 (which, to be clear, it does), but also because it forms the most cohesive and fully realized project of the year. Every moment of this record feels intentional, meticulously crafted, and designed to fit accordingly into a larger entity. This is almost a living, breathing organism unto itself.
Lane Shi described how much of the inspiration for Dream Hacker came to her in a dream, or as she sees it, an "astral projection". Within this dream, she says she witnessed stones being thrown by a child until two of them overlapped, followed by a great light which emerged from the center of the overlap. The imagery was profound enough that she ended up naming most of the tracks after different aspects of what she saw in the dream.
The album starts with humble beginnings. "You Do/Rub" is a two-parter, opening with the haunting, softly swirling piano ballad melancholy of "You Do". The lyrics are deeply cutting and vulnerable, as the artist ponders her shaky relationship with her father as a daughter of the generation where China had implemented the one child policy, breeding stigma against female offspring in the more conservative rural communities. Lane Shi wields her voice like a delicate blade, gracefully and artfully interrogating her father's worldview. The progression of the piano's melody suggests a kind of resolution in ambiguity, resisting rigid, narrow-minded answers to multidimensional questions.
Then quite abruptly, "Rub" completely overtakes and drowns out the serenity of the softer piano song, like a sudden onset computer virus infection. What becomes of this part two is honestly one of the most immaculate timbral frequencies I've ever heard. A glitchy, droning wall of madness forms in dark, ominous, tempestuous clouds all across the sky. Warm colours are sucked out of existence by a black hole, leaving only greyish pale blues. The soul is washed with abrasion until all that's left is the ability to observe. Sound design on this is fucking unreal, as though Lane Shi Otayonii is wiping clean of our universe, leaving only a empty slate to form the basis for her own new sonic domain, wherein she is god of all things.
"Light Burst" is the combustion spark of a rebirth of all things that comes immediately after. Lane Shi let's out a shrill cry of tremendous power and agony amidst the grinding dust and debris of an incredibly dense and intricate industrial techno concoction, built upon her long standing love affair with minor second chord progressions. This track does not relent, adding more and more layers to its already colossal tower of babel proportions until, just as suddenly as it came into existence, it vanishes without a trace of detection.
"Two Rocks A Bird" oscillates like an electron creating new electromagnetic waves. Sound particles split into atoms that dance in a mindless frenzy. Even as a regular Arca fan, I don't think I was ready to comprehend something like this the first time I heard it. Subverted all of my expectations. I think the artist may have invented a few completely new sound textures on this track. A highly reactive new form of industrial music.
After deliberating with all of the sheer fucking brilliance to be found on this project, I eventually concluded that "Overlap" was my favourite off of the record. Like the best song on her last LP "Blackheart Breakables", this is an epic midpoint that just continues to build and build, feeding endlessly like a malignant being that cannot be stopped. Hand drum beat patterns are mutated, modulated, and mutilated by industrial electroacoustic mechanisms, while a synthesized flute echos a most forlorn and sinister melody.
Lane Shi takes on the shape of a skillful pyromancer, testing her newfound powers by conjuring a sea of flames that I visualize with my mind's eye as something similar to the Darvaza Gas Crater. Alternatively, I imagine thousand year old stains of bloodshed on the tombs of a ransacked temple, or the ancient terracotta soldiers of Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum brought to life for the purpose of ushering a new war. "Overlap" is just something else, man. My other pick for song of the year.
"Ritualware" opens with a rare calm, dreams swirling on the outskirts of a newborn world that has not reached its zenith. The spacious void bursts to life with a single, literal drop (another brilliant production choice), creating ripples in space-time that give way to a trumpeting sawtooth synths' cacophonous symphony.
"Good Fool" brings things to a stirringly harmonious denouement. The light of the last candle is blown out, and a creeping dusk sets in. Petals of sound float along the wind and promptly dissipate, as everything reaches an uncanny stillness. A hushed, rapid-fire breakdown of bass drums, hand drums, and gongs occurs as the final closing act of the record.
I know I've already said this like a dozen times before about a dozen different artists, but it really needs to be said here - more people should know about Otay:onii. No one I've discovered has been doing anything as consistently exciting, challenging, and infectious as this project in the last few years. As it stands right now, the artist is criminally unknown and criminally underappreciated.
Dream Hacker is the rare ambitious record that dares to be so challenging and not only lives up to all of its potential, but manages to make the old formula of doing things look incredibly obsolete by comparison. Not many avant-garde music albums are this ridiculously fun to listen to, let alone manage to capture sonic worlds that are this truly sublime.
I've probably listened to this at least 40 times in the last year, and I plan on at least doubling that number in the following year. This is not just my album of the year; it is my top album of the 2020s as a decade so far, and already one of my favourites of all time. This record sets my soul ablaze and I simply can't get enough of it. Otay:onii is my new religion, and Dream Hacker is the scripture.
10/10
Highlights: "Overlap", "You Do/Rub", "Light Burst", "Two Rocks A Bird", "Ritualware", "Good Fool"

A Bulgarian tycoon under house arrest, Vassil “The Skull” Bojkov, on Thursday announced a new political project, the “Centre” party, standing in opposition to Bulgaria’s current ruling coalition.
“Bulgaria needs strong people with a sense of mission who can get the country out of its misery and lead it into the new world – something that those thieves can never do,” Bojkov said at the inauguration of the party in Sofia, attacking the current cabinet.
Party member Damyan Kachulski said the project comes at the right time geopolitically, with a “right-wing America, a strong Russia, a wise China, a reasonable Europe [and] a neighbouring strong Turkey” and it will seek the votes of “the silent majority”, referring to the low voter turnout in the 2021-2023 elections in Bulgaria.
Dessislava Kovacheva, film producer and screenwriter of history-themed features, said the party stood against “anti-Bulgarian propaganda”, aims to attract “those who shiver when they hear the national anthem” and will deal with “the traitors who we know by name”.
Bojkov attended the launch event despite being under house arrest following his return to Bulgaria last August after a period of exile in Dubai where he relocated to evade various charges. They included being a leader of an organised crime group, wrongfully obtaining cultural and historical riches, murder threats and orchestrating assassinations.
Since the 1990s, Bojkov has been associated with profitable businesses as well as alleged political influence and ties to organised crime. He started a chain of currency exchange offices and then expanded into the gambling industry in the 1990s, as well as into road construction, football and art collecting.
The tables were turned in 2020, when his profitable lottery business was nationalised. He then became a vocal critic of ex-PM Boyko Borissov and his GERB party, as well as their partners from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms. This was a major change in attitude: before his clashes with the GERB-led cabinet in 2020, Bojkovv had shied away from media attention or comments on political events.
In Dubai, he started a party called Bulgarian Rise, which is now defunct and replaced by his new opposition project.
Both Bojkov and his foes from GERB and Movement for Rights and Freedoms found themselves designated by the Global Magnitsky Act in 2021.
Several tycoons of his generation who amassed wealth and influence in the 1990s have been assassinated in recent years, triggering speculation about a tectonic change in Bulgaria’s criminal underground.
In May last year, Krassimir “Kyro” Kamenov and his wife were shot dead in Cape Town, South Africa. Last August, just before Bojkov’s return, business figure Alexei Petrov was assassinated in Sofia. In an interview in September, Bojkov denied having any major ties to Petrov and Kamenov.
The announcement of the new party comes when relations between the two blocs in Bulgaria’s ruling coalition are tense after just less than a year of rule. The planned rotation of Prime Ministers in March, which is now turning into a fight for power between GERB/UDF and We Continue the Change / Democratic Bulgaria, risks the stability of the cabinet.
“We don’t want another snap election but we won’t allow our alliance to be a cover-up for diverting the coalition’s main priorities,” PM Nikolai Denkov of We Continue the Change said on Thursday. He will file his resignation on March 6 to make way for GERB’s Mariya Gabriel.
On Monday, Denkov met Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv.

The NY Times By Elizabeth Williamson Nov. 30, 2024
Kash Patel, President-elect Donald J. Trump’s choice as director of the F.B.I., does not have the typical background for that position. A former federal prosecutor and public defender, he has little management or law enforcement experience. The president-elect cites as a key credential Mr. Patel’s unflagging efforts to discredit the Justice Department’s investigation into Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election in favor of Mr. Trump.
Here are five takeaways from a recent New York Times profile of Mr. Patel, who has denounced his critics as biased against Mr. Trump and has said he led efforts to expose F.B.I. “corruption.”
Former colleagues question his qualifications.
Mr. Trump said in his social media post announcing his choice for the F.B.I. that Mr. Patel had “tried over 60 jury trials.” Colleagues from Mr. Patel’s time as an entry-level public defender in Florida recall him as a middling performer with a deep animosity toward the Justice Department prosecutors he found himself up against. His former supervisor, Michael Caruso, a federal public defender who led the Southern District of Florida office at the time, said that Mr. Patel shied away from filing motions that he was likely to lose.
Mr. Patel spent about three years as a terrorism prosecutor at the Justice Department. He has repeatedly claimed he was the “lead prosecutor” in the government’s pursuit of the perpetrators of the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans. In fact, Mr. Patel was a junior Justice Department staff member at the time, and he was not part of the trial team.
He is the author of the ‘Nunes Memo.’
Mr. Trump ordered that Mr. Patel be given a job on the National Security Council staff after Mr. Patel, then a House Intelligence Committee staffer, impressed Mr. Trump as the primary author of what has come to be called the secret “Nunes memo.” The document was a key element in the effort of House Republicans to undermine the Justice Department’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Mr. Patel’s memo, which Mr. Trump declassified over the objections of the intelligence agencies and Democrats, fueled bogus claims by Mr. Trump, Republicans and conservative media that politics drove the Russia investigation and that the government had spied on the Trump campaign itself.
He was a would-be ‘political executioner.’
In 2019, as President Trump battled public outrage and a looming impeachment over his effort to enlist Ukraine in digging up dirt on former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., he proposed to a group of top advisers that Mr. Patel, a backbench staffer on the National Security Council, begin vetting White House aides for loyalty. He would have served as a “political executioner,” in the words of Charles Kupperman, the deputy national security adviser at the time. Mr. Kupperman and White House legal advisers talked the president out of it, saying it would create legal and morale problems.
He says his nonprofit helps Jan. 6 defendants.
The Kash Foundation is a nonprofit that Mr. Patel has said offers financial help to a range of recipients, including the families of people charged for their roles in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. Tax filings for 2023 show the foundation’s revenue surged from $182,000 in 2022 to $1.3 million last year. Its expenses rose fivefold over 2022 to $674,000. Almost half of that was spent on promotion and advertising, an expense that totaled more than the foundation gave away in contributions and grants last year.
He sells pro-Trump merchandise under the logo K$H.
Since the end of the Trump administration, Mr. Patel has parlayed his association with the former president into enterprises he promotes under the logo “K$H.” He sells pro-Trump T-shirts and other items as well as a series of his children’s books that pay homage to “King Donald.” Mr. Patel also collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in consulting fees from the 2024 Trump campaign and from Friends of Matt Gaetz, the campaign committee for the former House Republican from Florida, who withdrew from consideration as Mr. Trump’s attorney general after criticism over allegations of sex trafficking and drug use.

Used-Car Market
Student name & ID
Tony Yang 13872738

Discussion time: Thursday 7pm
Price changes in the used-car market
As a college student, responsible financial management is paramount, particularly for significant expenses such as purchasing a car. Consequently, a basic understanding of economics is an essential tool to make informed decisions and navigate market fluctuations. In pursuit of this objective, my friend and I embarked on an investigation into the used car industry, leveraging the fundamental economic principles imparted in our Econ 20A course. Among these principles, the law of demand stands out as a cornerstone of economics. This fundamental tenet asserts that the quantity of a good or service demanded by consumers decreases as its price increases, ceteris paribus, and conversely, the quantity demanded increases as the price decreases.
Applied to the used car market, the law of demand implies that as used car prices increase, the quantity demanded decreases, and conversely, a decrease in price leads to an increase in quantity demanded, as represented by a downward-sloping demand curve. However, other factors, such as the availability of credit, consumer preferences, and technological advancements, also play a crucial role in shaping demand.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant changes in consumer behavior, which, in turn, has had a profound impact on the used car market. With many people working from home, the demand for cars has declined, resulting in a surplus of used cars on the market. Nevertheless, at the same time, the supply of new cars has dwindled due to factory closures and supply chain disruptions, prompting an increase in demand for used cars as a substitute.

Based on the image, we analyzed that:
In early 2022, inflation in the United States was attributed to the thriving used-car market, which had become a reliable predictor of inflation trends due to the escalating prices of used cars. However, the trend changed towards the end of the year due to several factors, including increased interest rates by the Federal Reserve, a surge in new car supplies, and fears of an impending recession. As a result, wholesale used-car prices plummeted to their lowest levels in over a year.
According to Jonathan Smoke, the chief economist at Cox Automotive, the drop in wholesale used-car prices was followed by a surge in new car retail sales as new vehicle inventories began to build up. However, Cox Automotive, the largest online and offline (O2O) trading platform for automobiles in the US, has recently reported a significant upturn in used-car auction prices. The Manheim Used Car Value Index, which tracks used car auction prices, surged by 4.3% from January to February 2023, representing the largest monthly increase since October 2021. This is also the most significant surge for the month of February since the 4.4% increase recorded in February 2009, 14 years ago.
Goldman Sachs has identified two significant factors responsible for the rebound in used-car auction prices. The first is a temporary supply restriction of automotive chips, and the second is a reduction in long-term rental market sales. The scarcity of automotive chips has had a domino effect on the automotive industry, resulting in a decrease in the supply of new cars and an increase in demand for used cars, ultimately driving up their prices. Similarly, the reduction in long-term rental market sales has created a shortage of used cars, leading to a surge in demand, which has also driven up prices.

In conclusion, understanding the principles of economics, especially the law of demand, is essential in making informed purchasing decisions in the used car market. By keeping abreast of market changes and considering the various factors that influence demand, college students can make prudent choices, optimize their budget, and acquire reliable vehicles at reasonable prices.

House Republicans to Investigate Coronavirus
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), Feb. 14, 2023.--House Republicans opened up an investigation into the origin of the deadly novel corona virus that’s killed over 1 million Americans, more that 6.7 million worldwide.  President Joe Biden, 80, asked 52-year-old Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines to get to the bottom of the virus origin in June 2021, returning her findings three months later. Haines concluded in August 2021 that it was impossible for the intelligence community to conclude anything because China, who holds the lab data, refused to cooperate.  Yet that didn’t satisfy the majority of House Republicans who have plenty of data on how the National Intitute’s of Health, under 82-year-old Dr. Anthony Fauci, awarded $15 million in grants to New York-based EchoHealth Alliance CEO Peter Daszak.  Dasak admitted to funding Shi Zehenli’s laba the Wuhan Institute of Virology nearly a million dollars.
Fauci testified before Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) Oversight Committee on at least two occasions denying that the NIH ever funded so-called “gain of function” research at Zhengli’s virology lab.  Daszak, 54, admitted to funding Zhegli’s lab, despite Fauci’s denials.  On a technical issue, the NIH didn’t fund Zhengli’s lab directly but gave the cash to EcoHealth Alliance that funded the lab.  University of North Carolina microbiologist Dr. Ralph Baric openly admitted to working with Zhengli in her Wuhan lab, injecting harmless bat coronaviruses with Angiotensin 2 [ACE 2], a powerful beta-blocker drug, to enhance the infectiousness of the virus.  Fauci, Daszak and World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyseus all insist that the virus originated naturally, jumping from bats to animals, then to humans.  Fauci, Daszak and Tedros prove zero evidence to back up their claims.
Early on in the coronaviurs global pandemic, former President Donald Trump said April 30, 2020 that the virus leaked from Zhengli’s Wuhan lab, prompting Fauci, Daszak and Tedros to challenge the lab-leak theory.  Daszak, sent a letter Feb 27. 2020  backed by 27 other scientists to the British Medical Journal Lancet saying that the virus was a “spillover event,” jumping from bats, to an intermediate animal, they infecting human.  If that’s not a convoluted theory, then what is?  When the first deadly coronavirus SARS CoV-1occurred in 2003, it infected 8,000, killing only 800 worldwide. How could the second version of the virus, SARS CoV-2, infect nearly 678 million, with over 6.7 million deaths worldwide?  Something happened to the virus in Zhengli’s lab that engineered the virus into the most deadly virus known to man.  It’s genetically impossible for SARS CoV-1 to morph into SARS CoV-2.
House Intelligence Committee Rep. James Comer (R-Ten..) said his committee will get to the bottom of how the deadly coronavirus emerged.  DNI Avril Haines said before her final report to Biden the virus origin of the virus that preventing another global pandemic was imperative.  But listening to Fauci, Daszak or Tedros would be a wild goose chase.  All indications point to Zhengli’s “gain-of-function” experiments, turning harmless coronaviurses into the most infectious pathogens, explaining why the SARS CoV-1 bears little resemblance to SARS CoV-2.  Comer said he will “follow the facts” and “hold U.S. government officials that took part in any cover-up accountable.”  Fauci’s prior testimony under oath resulted in screaming matches with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), calling Paul a “liar” for saying Fauci funded Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance who, in turn, funded Zhengli’s bioweapons lab.
U.S. press vehemently attacked former President Trump when he said April 30, 2020 that the lab-leak idea was a conspiracy theory.  Seeking to oust him from office during an election year, the media could care less about the origin of the virus, only preventing Trump from a second term.  Well, they succeeded in getting rid of Trump but they’ve done their profession and world a disservice by not putting their resources to determining the origin of the virus.  Why should the House Intel committee be forced to spend its resources on determining the origin of the virus?  “This investigation must begin with where and how this virus cam about so that we can attempt to predict, prepare or prevent it from happening again,” said Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), chair of the virus subcommittee in a statement.  If the virus came from Zhengli’s lab, the world should know the risk of bioweapons.
House Intel Committee officials are doing a real public service because today’s media is all about politics, not concerned with their mandated job under the First Amendment to objectively find the truth. Like so many lies promoted against Trump in the press, finding the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus should help scientists prevent another future outbreak.  There’s no sense of spending millions on a goose chase pushed by Fauci, Daszak and Tedros, seeking to cover-up the origin of the virus.  Fauci has the most to lose in his decades-long reputation for funding Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance that gave Zhengli about a million dollars to study “gain-of-function” research on harmless bay coronaviruses.  Whatever role Fauci played in creating the deadly novel coronavirus, the public has aright to know what happened.  U.S. press should be ashamed of turning facts into politics.

The Most Influential Projects of 2021
Tumblr media
Project management is taking the world by storm, some of societies toughest problems or innovative ideas are being solved through collaboration. The Project Management Institute (PMI) recently released its 2021 most influential list of projects that are currently underway. The following are MyDev’s favourites:
Tumblr media
The Tokyo Toilet
Tokyo toilet is a unique new modern design of public restroom facilities. According to Tokyotoilet.jp toilets are already “a symbol of Japan’s world-renowned hospitality culture.” The redesign of 17 public facilities is a task that demands collaboration across 16 invited designers as well as mayors and government officials from across Tokyo, no easy task. The project manager must be attentive and respectful to all the designers while maintaining control to ensure the design & construction of the remaining locations are completed by 2022.
Tumblr media
Operation Hijab Design
With Muslim’s migrating, more police departments are finding themselves with a growing number of women officers of faith. Since police officers serve the community, they must also resemble the community and be respected for who they are. This starts with respecting Muslim officer uniforms including a hijab. In New Zealand, the task was taken up “the Nga Pae Mahutonga Wellington School of Design at Massey University to develop a fit-for-purpose hijab.” After working hard for 16 months, the design school created a hijab that was both comfortable during long shifts provided a clear field of vision and did not interfere with driving or using a firearm.
Tumblr media
Overture
The project is about designing supersonic aircraft that run on 100% sustainable fuel. Talk about an ambitious goals! The first test flight is set by year-end, with production beginning in 2023. Unfortunately, supersonic flight isn’t cheap, seats will begin at $5,000. While the US airlines shied away from the last supersonic aircraft, the Concord, this time US-based United Airlines has signed a deal for 15 of Boom Supersonic’s aircraft, with an option to purchase 35 more if desired. Just imagine how much collaboration among so many engineers occurred to build such an aircraft, and for its propulsion systems to be incongruent with international green standards.
Keep in mind, all three of these projects have one thing in common, they have a community of disciplined individuals working together. The COO of the PMI said it best “Our 2021 list of Most Influential Projects proves how creativity, collaboration, discipline, and determination can turn the boldest of ideas into a reality and change the world that we live in — even during the most challenging times.” The people assigned to these projects are ambitious and dare to find new ways to innovate. The global pandemic is not slowing these organizations down, those that are determined always find a way to succeed and accomplish what few can achieve.

Since I've never been in a relationship in real life, here's a list of my imaginary flings and ex-boyfriends (aka "guys and 'guys' I've obsessed over"). Although I'm not sure if I missed anyone. Do I look like I have a type?

Oftentimes, I have this odd habit (or perhaps an 'attitude') of ignoring the popular ones and paying more attention to the 'underdogs.' The internet was down the other day, so I had no other choice but to look for other forms of entertainment. At around 9:00pm PHT, I felt a 'nudge' inside myself which made me turn on the TV. I was fortunate enough to catch the opening credits of the post-apocalyptic series and thought to myself: "So this is the video game adaptation that has been highly-anticipated by fans within the gaming community." Just for context, I had HBO as my 'default' channel. 👀
My inner voice: "What did you mean when you said 'underdogs'?"

And this is all because I'm an ilusyonada (a Filipino word which I like to assimilate into the words 'desperate,' 'delusional,' or 'delirious').

Mo Dao Zu Shi, The Untamed’s Source Material, is Finally Getting an English-Language Edition
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The Untamed, a Chinese web drama starring Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo as cultivator soulmates fighting injustices in a fantasy version of ancient China, broke through to international audiences in 2019 and remains one of the most popular shows in English-speaking transformative fandom two years later. The live-action xianxia series is based on Mo Dao Zu Shi, a very popular web novel written by Chinese author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (MXTX). Despite the danmei’s many adaptations and international popularity, it is currently not officially available to read in English. Starting in December, that will change. Seven Seas Entertainment—an American publishing company that licenses manga, webcomics, and “light” Japanese novels—announced last week that they will be releasing an official, uncensored English-language translation of Mo Dao Zu Shi, complete with original art, glossary, end notes, and bonus chapters.
The new English-language Mo Dao Zu Shi translation will be published in five volumes, and is being translated by Suika and edited by Pengie. The work will include cover art by Jin Fang, and interior art by Marina Privalova, with each deluxe paperback volume setting American readers back $19.99. Unlike The Untamed, which does not feature any of the explicit sexual content between the two male main characters that is central to the source material, the Mo Dao Zu Shi English-language edition will not be censored, and is rated 17+ for violence, language, and sex.
Pls direct all Qs abt the books to @gomanga! I just tl n hand in the hmwk lololl ‼️ The books will be! 100% UNCENSORED!! ‼️ There will be! A glossary!! Standardized across all 3 novels!! ‼️There will be! Footnotes!! Chara Guides!!! ‼️WE ARE KEEPING GEGE! ER-GEGE!! SHIZUN!!
— 西瓜 || suika 🍉 嗑瓜子路過 (@yummysuika) August 4, 2021
Seven Seas will be publishing the entirety of MXTX’s current library—which also includes The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System and Heaven Official’s Blessing. All of the novels will be published in multiple volumes, with the first volume of each novel coming on December 7th, 2021. They will be available in print and digital editions, and can be pre-ordered now.
Following the news of the upcoming release, K., the fan translator responsible for one of the most popular English-language version of Mo Dao Zu Shi currently available online, said she had plans to remove the unofficial edition from the internet in order to support the official translation. Unlike with the unofficial English-language translations, MXTX will be getting money from the sales of the official version.
Haven't decided what exactly I'll be doing yet, but the plan is to remove my MDZS translations from ExR's website as soon as possible so that people can support the official translation instead 🎉🎉🎉 Please see my LRTs for more info!! ❤️

New Post has been published on All about business online
New Post has been published on http://yaroreviews.info/2021/02/boeings-new-big-plane-is-its-big-new-problem
Boeing's New Big Plane Is Its Big New Problem
Boeing Co. BA -1.29% ’s newest jetliner is becoming its latest big problem, stretching out development, racking up a huge charge and complicating the plane maker’s bid to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic.
When Boeing decided to build the 777X in 2013, engineers designed it for airlines wanting to connect the globe’s major cities and carry some 400 passengers more efficiently than any of its earlier widely used jets. As the latest version of Boeing’s long-range jetliner introduced in the 1990s, it features two giant, fuel-efficient engines and big wings that fold so they can pull up to airport gates.
Boeing’s bet is souring, however. Unlike with some of its other airplanes, Boeing’s recent 777X woes aren’t directly related to apparent design missteps or quality lapses. The plane’s troubles stem from the pandemic’s hit to international travel and broader market fallout, and a stiffer regulatory posture following Boeing’s missteps tied to a hazardous flight control system that led to two fatal crashes of its smaller 737 MAX jets.
Boeing 737 MAX airplanes parked next to a much larger Boeing 777X at the company’s production facility in Renton, Wash., in November.
Photo: David Ryder/Getty Images
The 777X is also at the center of an emerging dispute between U.S. and European aviation regulators, as each side seeks to wield influence in the wake of the MAX tragedies, according to industry and government officials familiar with the matter.
The Chicago-based aerospace giant booked a $6.5 billion charge due to the 777X delays in the fourth quarter, surprising investors. Together with a halt in deliveries of its popular wide-body, the 787 Dreamliner, due to production lapses, Boeing reported its worst-ever annual loss.
Boeing now expects to deliver its first 777X, which took its inaugural test flight last year, in late 2023—about three years later than previous estimates. Moreover, Boeing doesn’t expect air-travel demand to return to pre-pandemic levels for around three years.
The new iteration of the original 777—once a high point for Boeing’s marketing, engineering and sales prowess—is an example of how the company’s fortunes have reversed in recent years.
Boeing finished 2020 with firm orders for 191 of the new jets, a 38% drop from the previous year, according to a securities filing. Boeing determined some customers may be unable to finance deals, while others have the right to walk away from their orders because of delivery delays.
Each carries a sticker price of more than $400 million. Boeing has identified eight customers for the 777X, a relatively small number given that more than 30 carriers operate the existing version of the jet. The last signed up three years ago, and there are no orders from U.S. airlines or leasing companies.
Boeing Chief Executive David Calhoun said last week that the company was confident in the 777X and the “unmatched capability it will offer our customers,” including how much it can carry and low operating costs. He attributed the delayed delivery in part to the pandemic’s hit to demand for wide-body jets used on long-haul flights, with cross-border traffic down 76% last year from 2019, according to the International Air Transport Association.
Mr. Calhoun also cited various design changes sparked by feedback from global regulators and lessons learned from the plane maker’s protracted recertification of the 737 MAX while it was grounded for nearly two years and Boeing fixed a flawed flight-control system.

Boeing declined to comment further.
As a result of internal agency changes and Congressional mandates prompted by the MAX tragedies, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration is planning to delegate significantly less authority to Boeing engineers in vetting the design of the 777X than previous Boeing models, according to industry and government officials.
The tougher approach follows harsh criticism from outside safety experts and lawmakers on both sides of the Atlantic for a series of FAA lapses in certifying the MAX. Boeing failed to sufficiently flag key safety issues, while agency officials later allowed the fleet to continue flying for nearly five months between the first and second accidents. Stepped-up oversight by the FAA, which includes vetting of design and technical issues by other agency experts as well as outside reviews of FAA procedures, is expected to add time required for certification, one industry official said.
Before the MAX crashes, the U.S. agency’s safety approach had been largely unchallenged, with other countries almost always yielding to the FAA’s technical expertise and judgments regarding Boeing jets.
But now, in discussions with their FAA counterparts, European Union Aviation Safety Agency officials have insisted that Boeing add an additional layer of redundancy to key flight-control systems beyond those initially envisioned for the 777X, according to industry and government officials familiar with the matter.
An EASA spokeswoman said the agency will look closely at the 777X’s flight controls and follow a “thorough process to ensure the safety of the aircraft.” More broadly, Patrick Ky, the agency’s executive director, in recent weeks has vowed that EASA experts will conduct more independent safety analyses of all future Boeing jet models.
As the pandemic continues to weigh on the aviation industry, Chinese aircraft manufacturer Comac has been pushing ahead with testing a new passenger jet. If successful, the C919 could rival Boeing and Airbus in the largest aviation market in the world. Photo illustration: Sharon Shi
The FAA said it continuously “engages with Boeing on the 777X certification to appropriately address any issues that might arise,” but declined to elaborate.
Even before the pandemic, Boeing and Airbus wide-body aircraft had been struggling to bring in sales as airlines have been shifting to smaller planes that are designed to fly on longer, direct routes.
That wide-body slump has radically deepened because of the pandemic, with expectations for long-haul flights to be the last travel segment to recover. Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. , a 777X customer, has said it has pushed deliveries of the plane out to at least 2025.
Still, Boeing expects operators of earlier 777s to replace the planes with the new model. Carriers including British Airways, a unit of International Consolidated Airlines Group SA, Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Emirates airline have said they would need the aircraft to replace older planes.
