Finally finished She’s Gotta Have It Season 2.. truthfully I didn’t want it to end. 😩 I appreciate Spike Lee easing out of the story line and penetrating politics and social issues in Season Two of She’s Gotta Have It. I totally get it! Didn’t you?! If you didn’t you probably ever really understood Spike Lee’s play on perspective, like EVER!! No need for a third season.. what’s left to be said?? The mic 🎤 was dropped. He already broke down the original story line in the first Season! And he weaved social issues through that story line (truly it would be irresponsible & neglect no to) .. so why not expect more of that in Season 2?! I loved watching Nola and the others evolve, as we all do in life. ✨✨ I hope that he brings more classics to Netflix or another platform in a Series! Like Schooldaze! Netflix Announces New Episodes Of “She’s Gotta Have It” Will Air May 24

Great news guys! Our favorite sex positive character Nola Darling is doing it big on Netflix again! Season 2 of “She’s Gotta Have” it returns to the streaming platform on May 24th. Will you be watching?

She’s Gotta Have It Season 2 offers a timely and topical portrait of rising talents, with free-spirited artist Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise) at the center. Struggling with newfound success this season, against a backdrop of black art and culture, Nola must decide if she will remain true to her creative ideals or give in to the corporate world. Her journey of self-discovery helps transform the lives of those around her, including friend and sometimes lover Mars Blackmon (Anthony Ramos), who sets out to pursue his true passion of music as well as her inner circle of Opal (Ilfenesh Hadera), Greer Childs (Cleo Anthony), Jamie Overstreet (Lyriq Bent), Clorinda Bradford (Margot Bingham), Shemekka Epps (Chyna Layne) and Winnie Win (Fat Joe). Their journey expands to new destinations this season beyond their home base of Fort Greene, the vibrant Brooklyn enclave, that continues to evolve and change as gentrification remakes the neighborhood.

Created by Spike Lee who also executive produces the series alongside Tonya Lewis Lee, all nine episodes of Season 2 will be released on May 24, 2019.

........Being bias, because originals, when great become sacred and should be quietly left alone on the mantel of Greatness only to be marveled at, and called upon maybe!! When a source of inspiration is needed, so I outright was against watching this reboot for fear of @officialspikelee losing his deity’ish status in the pantheon of filmmakers. But I must emphatically say “I dig the reboot, a lot!!” Its ability to be a current voice, talking about all our current shit, that needs to be talked about is soooooooo necessary. Always room to build on, but I am thoroughly content with the first season. #AMustSee @shesgottahave @shesgottahaveitnetflix @netflix we need a season 2 Ya Dig!!
