OsaYachi Brainrot
this may one day be a fic. but probably not so here
so for the sake of this working we assume yachi went to university in osaka, still doing like, marketing & design
and one evening she's just walking home tired from class and decides to buy takeout rather than cooking by herself. it's spontaneous so she just walks into the next building that says "onigiri" on it without thinking about it much
instantly starts panicking when she sees it's basically empty tho like is this even a restaurant? is there real food to be bought here? is this a yakuza front? is she about to get murdered for daring to step in here?
except obviously it's not, and she gets greeted by a cheery "hi what can I get fer ya?". but she startles and squeaks, and then when she hears "oh, aren't ya the girl who" she just panics, hits a chair trying to go backwards and falls over, then scrambles and runs right out of the restaurant.
now osamu is pretty clueless as to what exactly just happened, just that a girl walked into his restaurant, he recognized her maybe as the girl who was karasuno's manager and that he almost hit with his serve like three years ago, and then she screamed and ran back out. and also dropped the wallet she was holding.
and because he's a reasonable person, he doesn't pick up the wallet and waits to see if she comes back, no, he takes it and books it after her
it's not even really night yet and they're in a big city, so they definitely get a lot of stares, and when osamu catches up to her and grabs her arm to stop her from running again he has to very loudly go "you forgot your wallet at my store! you should take it with you before you go!" because multiple passersby have their phones raised to call the cops on him. like sure he's just barely still a teenager at this point and only a year older than yachi, but he's WAY taller and yachi looks younger than she is and also she's probably crying just from the shock
poor girl is so embarrassed by the scene, takes her wallet back and bows like five times in apology for troubling him like this and only then looks up enough to see that oh. she does know who this is
well. as she puts it "oh, you're miya - uh" looks to his hair. not dyed anymore. looks to his chest. no numbered jersey (why would he be wearing that now?). "um. one of them." then immediately apologizes because that's so rude, she really should be able to tell them apart
osamu just laughs it off, gives her his name and introduces himself as the one who used to dye his hair grey and didn't play setter
also admits that he has no idea what she's called either, so they're even
yachi introduces herself and feels a bit more at ease, enough to agree to go back to the restaurant and buy some onigiri which was the original plan anyway
osamu offers to give them to her for free as an apology for spooking her, but she insists on paying, so osamu just hands her some extra ones that are left over that he probably won't sell anyway
yachi leaves with her onigiri, now way too much for her to eat, and shares them with her roommate
both of them are blown away by how good the onigiri are and the roommate is like. idc how much you embarrassed yourself we are gonna go back there. regularly. this is not up for debate.
and like. yeah. those onigiri are worth it. and osamu didn't seem upset or like he was making fun of her either. though she's still 100% sure she completely blew her first real impression on him.
meanwhile osamu's just hoping she likes his onigiri, thinking she's cute and funny
next time yachi goes to get food by herself she actually sits down to eat, and osamu chats with her a little. just casual stuff, what yachi is doing in osaka, kageyama is on the adlers now so he'll play atsumu next week since he's on the jackals, also he wants to know what hinata is doing rn, what do you mean he's playing beach volleyball and learning portuguese to go to brazil?
pretty soon it becomes easy for yachi to come and it's her go to place for comfort food, and she sometimes brings her new uni friends as well
it slowly spreads as a secret tip among the uni students but it's still empty a lot of the time
yachi starts wondering if maybe she isn't the only one not quite sure if this is actually a restaurant and people don't come in since it doesn't really clearly say anything outside
it's on her mind so when she gets an assignment to design a business logo and some ads she does it for onigiri miya
shyly presents them to osamu later and he's like "wow this looks so good you're incredible"
and yachi is blushing cuz he's really close to her looking at it and why is her heart racing like that? she offers him he can use it if he likes, which he refuses because he can't really pay her, but she says she's already made it and got a good grade so. it's not like she did this for money or will get paid if he doesn't use it.
so she helps him get the logo printed for the storefront, and he makes flyers out of her ads, and she draws on a chalkboard he sets up outside.
it ends up helping a bunch more people discovering onigiri miya and boosting business, she also makes him a website later, for another assignment.
and they get really comfortable, just hanging out. yachi doesn't even startle anymore when atsumu randomly barges into onigiri miya cuz she gets used to him. surprisingly she finds the twins bickering soothing. it reminds her of kageyama and hinata. osamu gets drawn into yachi's friend group, so he's not just working or hanging out with atsumu's friends on the jackals all the time anymore. yachi becomes onigiri miyas second taste tester after atsumu has confirmed it's edible.
and somehow, osamu is still surprised when atsumu eventually asks "so when are ya gonna ask her out, huh?"
as if he's not talking about how cute yachi is all the damn time, or how hard she works or how talented she is or how his restaurant seemed quiet and wrong those two weeks she went back to miyagi to visit her family.
it has been suggested to yachi by her friends and roommate as well that osamu might be into her but uh. she has immediately catastrophized all the ways her doing anything about this possibility could end in her social ruin so she has tried not to entertain it. her mother always lecturing her to be careful around men and their ulterior motives and general uselessness probably doesn't help either. and she's gotten a bit more confident in herself but she definitely believes osamu can do better than her.
osamu also definitely believes she can do better than him, look at all those smart, well-off people she's going to college with.
at first atsumu just rolls his eyes at his brother but as he keeps insisting to not do anything about their obvious crushes on each other, eventually atsumu just goes "if yer not gonna ask her out, I will."
and if there's one thing osamu knows about his twin, it's that he'll make good on his threats, no matter how ill-advised they may be. he knows atsumu would do it, and if yachi for some reason said yes, he'd even be a decent boyfriend to her because they're good friends at this point.
so with his hand forced, osamu invites her to come over after closing time, and presents her with a more fancy meal not on the menu and eats with her. it's very date-like and out of the ordinary so yachi does eventually work up the courage to ask if there's an occasion for this. internally panicking thinking she forgot something important the whole time.
osamu blushes and almost chokes but he does manage to blurt out "would you like to be my girlfriend?"
it takes like a couple seconds to compute in yachi's brain so osamu is already backpedalling like "it's chill if not" but suddenly yachi gets incredibly red and stammers out nonsense syllables and just hides her face in her hands cuz she's completely overwhelmed.
osamu gives her a bit of time, then reaches out to take one of her hands and gently pry it away so he can look at her and see if she's alright
yachi just looks at their hands and thinks about how nice and warm osamu's hand feels and how he puts her at ease with his presence. and she nods and squeaks out an "I'd like to" and osamu smiles so brightly she feels like she needs sunscreen to protect herself from it.
then osamu presses a soft kiss to her hand and she almost faints
it takes them like three weeks from this point before their lips touch, and even longer to get any more intimate
atsumu meticulously documents this timeline to embarrass them at their wedding with it. osamu tells him "shut up you don't even know we'll make it to marriage yet" but like. they're gonna get married.
only when they've been together a couple of years and are both financially stable on their own and confirmed their life plans are compatible with each other, but. they do get married. it's one of the best days of their life. (and atsumu is there as best man to go "I told ya so" with the most obnoxious grin possible)
also they have the cutest kids and osamu is the best dad to them but idk maybe that should be another post this one is too long already

The Demon's Queen
Chapter Fifteen
First <> Previous
One month passed both far too soon and not soon enough. She hadn’t received any information from anyone on what she would be doing, but her training was ramped up tenfold. She hadn’t been this sore and bruised since her first few months of training.
“What on Earth was that ?” Maha bellowed from where she stood on the side of the mat. Marinette grit her teeth as she ducked under another blow made by the bulkiest of her oh-so-precious Jackals.
“I must agree with you Maha,” Hadid sighed, “and here I thought she had finally mastered the move.” He sounded disappointed and it pulled at something inside Marinette. For some reason, a part of her felt upset at the thought of upsetting Hadid. She could care less about Maha, but failing Hadid made her want to fight even harder. She felt like she needed to prove herself to him.
Feigning a punch she ducked before kicking out and pushing him off valence slightly. But the second that it took for him to fall back into position was just enough for Marinette to get close and hit multiple of the central pressure points she learned about from Tomoe, paralyzing his arms, shoulders, and neck. Then with one last well placed kick he was down with her on top of him squeezing his windpipe until he tapped out as best as he could with his paralyzed arm.
Marinette stood up. She expected her legs to start shaking, for her breath to be staggered, to feel scared about what she had just done. But no, she felt calm, her legs were steady, and she felt proud of herself. She felt like she had finally accomplished something great.
She looked up, her face an emotionless mask. Maha had her usual displeased frown, not giving away any emotions. But when she looked up and saw the large Cheshire grin Hadid was giving her she felt a cold shiver of fear run down her spine. His face was unnatural, but it showed just how proud he was of her.
“Still a long way to go with you, but it’s a good start,” Maha finally growled out, “at least you have proven ready for your mission.”
Marinette stared down at one of the men that had caused her so much pain and distress. She should despise him for the pain he’s put her through, after all he chose this life. He chooses to live a life that causes the pain and suffering of others. She should just leave him to get back up on his own. After all, it was just a training spar.
Hadid’s voice from so many months ago rang through her mind, “Your defiance against your allies could lead to your demise. Be careful of who you make your enemies.” Marinette didn’t like it, but she knew what she needed to do.
She lifted her hand and was actually rather surprised when the man—she’d been sparring him for months now and still didn’t know his or the other’s names—took her hand. Like usual he didn’t say a word and when dismissed by Maha, he disappeared.
__________ Damian was worried about sending her on this mission. It was the strangest thing he’d ever felt before. Never once had he worried over the safety of his servants. If they died it was simply because they were not strong or skilled enough to over power their enemies and return. But this, this was different.
He had chosen Marinette himself, had hand picked her to be part of his most elite. If she died here it would not only mean that she was not strong enough, but that he had made a mistake in his beliefs. He could not allow that to happen.
His mother was gone—something about a private affair she needed to see to—so she couldn’t tell him if he had indeed been mistaken in his decision or not. He didn’t feel like he had made a mistake, he needed her to see exactly what they’re fighting and why. Needs her to see that he is not the villain. Of course he is no hero either, heroes are naive and can only bring themselves to carry out the barest sentence of justice.
Take his father as an example. He calls himself and his little Posey “the heroes of Gotham”, but nothing ever changes. His enemies always escape their cages, always kill more innocents, always spread destruction and chaos, and then what happens to them? They’re sent back to their broken cages only to reoffend again and again.
Todd had the right idea when he broke the moral code and killed the monsters he found. With them gone and the others controlled under Hood’s reign, the people under his protection are truly safe.
Damian stared out across his balcony overlooking the entire base. He watched the silhouettes of Marinette and her team—The Jackals Maha liked to call them—headed towards the entrance where a helicopter was waiting to take them on their mission.
Something was pulling at his chest. A strange dropping sensation in his gut telling him to follow her. Telling him that something would go wrong and that he needed to be there to ensure her return. He ignored it. She would return, she is strong enough that she will live through this. It’s not even that complicated of a mission. The feeling of unease still remained.
__________ The helicopter ride to the “airport” was an interesting—unsettling—experience. All four of them, plus the pilot—so five—sat in complete silence the whole way. They were all dressed in their robes, faces covered and weapons strapped and hidden all along their bodies. Once they made it to a secret bunker of sorts they switched to a messenger plain where the shortest of the Jackals took over and began to fly them to G* knows where.
“I should probably know your names while we are on this mission if we want to communicate effectively.”
“And you will need a code name so we do not blow your cover.” The smallest of the group said tersely. The voice was obviously female though she spoke with a slight accent, but it was still a shock to hear it after so many months of nothing but silence. She had honestly wondered if all of them were actually mute or not.
“You may call me Rajani. My brother,” she pointed to the most muscular of them, “is Azrael, and he,” she pointed to the second man, “is named Hosaam. Now we must pick a name for you.”
“Khata sounds just fine to me,” the pilot—Azrael—grunted. Marinette’s brows furrowed at that. Through her studies of the Arabic language she had quickly found the name Maha had given to her as one of the biggest insults she had received. Everyday she would call Marinette a mistake. Everyday she would say that the name Khata was the only thing she had truly earned. It burned her insides and made her push herself if only to prove her wrong.
“I agree,” Hosaam nodded, arms folded in front of him. “It is a good name for this mission. No one would suspect.” The others nodded allowing the silence to fill the space once more. Marinette but her lip. She did not wish to be known in the field as “The Mistake”, but she knew arguing would only activate her supposed Allie’s, so she remained silent.
It took nearly 11 hours for them to reach their destination. 11 hours were the only noise was the whirring of the plane’s engine. It made her skin itch, but Marientte did her best to make as few movements as possible. She didn’t trust that either of these three wouldn’t try something if she left herself vulnerable in any way. Marinette was honestly surprised with how smooth the plane ride went. She had assumed that–with her luck–something would have gone wrong. But no, from the air to landing not a single misfortune moment had occurred–she wondered if that was because she no longer had any access to her miraculous.
They had landed in a sort of bunker, away from the public and any cameras that could have picked them up. She followed the Jackals to a sideroom where a large table sat in the middle of the room with a set of black blue construction manuals. “Where are we?” Marinette asked, breaking the tense silence.
“ Fortaleza, Brazil,” Rajani stated, shoving a flashlight into her hands. The others gathered around the table and turned their flashlights on before shining it above the paper, revealing the structural design of a large warehouse with text written all around it in the League’s Dialect. Marinette followed suit as she studied the design and read about their mission.
A large worldwide trafficking ring will be meeting in this city in two days. The ring leader will be the last to arrive minutes before they begin auctioning off hundreds of children to the highest bidders. Nearly everyone attending are people that oppose The League of Assassins and have been trying to destroy it. Their job is to break into the event, free the children, and kill everyone in attendance ensuring the safety and secrecy of the League and its existence.
The warehouse was large, and located in a deserted part of the city. It was far enough away from the Favelas to keep the public away while also close enough to not be a conspicuous meeting place. In order to ensure a peaceful gathering, the gangs and cartels were all paid off as were many of the cops.
“It will be best if we can get in and out.” Rajani began to plot, “I will ensure that all of the exits are sealed off while Hosaam sets up a trap. Khata and Azrael will be in the audience ensuring crowd control. We have the guest list, so it is of utmost importance we ensure everyone on this list only enters the building. I wonder if it would be best for one of us to go in as one of the children though,” everyone’s gaze turned to Marinette.
She felt a shiver up her spine from how intense everyone’s eyes were. They were all cold, calculating, distant. They were assessing in their minds whether or not she would actually fit in, and unfortunately for her, it was rather well. Marinette was short, her full height only coming to 157.48 centimeters (5ft 2in). She was petite, and was still covered in large bruises from her shoulders down from all of the sparing she has had to endure.
“It would make finding and freeing the children more manageable,” Azrael grumbled, tilting his head slightly as he studied her, “as long as she put up a convincing act.”
“And what if I’d rather not be the caged child,” Marinette snapped, meeting his gaze. She couldn’t see it as he still wore his mask, but she could feel his smirk, his cold brown eyes boring into hers.
“You don’t get a choice.” The coolness of his voice sent a shiver down her spine, but she didn’t let them see how much he frightened her.
What if she became like that? Cold, uncaring, cruel. How would she ever be able to live with herself?
“Where are we supposed to take the kids once they’re free,” Marinette snarked, changing the subject, “we aren’t doing all of this just to let them wander off and get taken by someone else.”
“The Demon’s Head has a plan. We take them to the rendezvous point four miles East of the warehouse–transport will be provided. Once they are dropped off we leave,” Rajani reported calmly. “We have our own rendezvous a mile north from there. If we do not arrive by twenty-two hundred hours we will be stranded here and forced to return in disgrace.”
This was a lot for Marinette to take in. Here was a top secret ninja league that had kidnapped her rescuing a bunch of children while also killing the children's tormentors. What was their goal here? Like Rajani had started, there were going to be hundreds of people who planned against The League here, and their main purpose was to eliminate them–Marinette wanted to gag–but why save the children. Why not just let them die as well in the collateral? Why go through the trouble of ensuring they’re safe at all?
“What’s the most efficient way to kill the others? There will be hundreds of people, and if even one person senses something off or dies too early, everything will be over.” Hosaam spoke for the first time since the flight, nearly making her jump. His voice was rough and deep, deeper than she imagined, though she didn’t know why.
“Poison is out of the question, too easy for something to be messed up in the interim,” Rajani muttered to herself as he brought her hand up to cup her covered chin. “There are too many people for a frontal attack, explosions hold too much risk to the cargo,” Marinette bit her lip to keep her from lashing out at calling the kids “cargo”.
“We could gas the place. First we could gas the place. Sleeping gas first, then nitrogen gas. Kills them fast and is untraceable. We get in, then we get out,” Hosaam supplied.
“We’d have to get the kids out first, kill the guards and switch them places, but it should work.” Rajani agreed with a firm nod. Reaching across the table to grab a single match, lighting it against the table before tossing it onto the blueprints. Marinette watched as the blue paper material burned black and red, turning to ash in front of her eyes. She couldn't help but think of a dress that she’d like to make based on the burning paper flying around her.

// . . . not Ra loving the opening of their little writing for Serial Killer AU Marik ( which might either turn into something with cross or death for the ship, idk ). But oh how they missed writing details and also fucked up horror and gore.
It is a rainy day in Domino City, clouds are gray and covering the usual blue sky in a dreary blanket. There is the distant flash of lights, the sirens long silenced as multiple cars line the street denying any traffic from going through. Tape blocks off the normal looking home, a woman wrapped in a blanket as she shivers and tries to utter words to the officer sitting beside her at the step of the ambulance's back doors. There is something on her face, crimson spots mixing in with something murky, but hard to identify from first glance.
She is in pure shock, unable to form proper sentences. She cannot even get out her name.
At least the officer was able to get her name from her wallet left at the short table nestled at the front door. Missy Johnston, a college student who came to visit Domino City for studying abroad. There was another wallet found, one of Kasaki Horatu, about the same age as Missy, but a native to the city.
Horatu, the same one they predict is the reason the police were called at the weaning hours of night turning into a dreary morning.
Inside, the hallway is dark but as one would go further into the home, they would find a dim, buzzing light within the bedroom furthest from the front—nestled right next to the closet. The closet itself is thrown open, the smell of chemicals mixing to create an assault on a passerby’s nose and a possibly toxic combination. There is enough of a space carved out from the shelves and the towels to fit a person about Missy’s size. Like she had been hiding in there when whoever either killed or left the body in the room entered the home.
But, perhaps the smell of the chemicals is a blessing in comparison to the smell of the room. The room itself is a concoction of blood, viscera and myrrh. The remark of one officer became far truer than they first thought when they said, “It smells like a fucking funeral gone wrong in here.”
What they had found after responding to the frantic call from Missy was what looked to be like a mummy. The skin is tight against the bones, dry and grayed, the eye sockets sunken and no evidence remains of the eyes. What is most disturbing is the decorating of the room in blood. Every drop of blood within the deceased person’s body has been splattered around the room, a gentle drip drip drip from the ceiling. Crimson clings to the sheets and the curtains, not a single footprint left on the stained wooden floors aside from the fresh ones at the doorway of an officer—the one who was first to the scene. What were once light painted walls are covered, streaks of thicker blood trailing down. Strings of coagulated crimson dangles from the ceiling like streamers for a party, hanging from the ceiling fan above.
A twisted party of his blood being thrown around like confetti.
However, it is obvious that the blood was not removed in the room, the splattering not quite correct and the wounds on the shriveled skin old—before the body was put through the mummification process. Whoever did this horrific act took Hotaru to a different location, drained and mummified him, then brought the body and blood back to create the scene. A sadistic work of art.
On the desk sits four jars, a dread in every soul that sees them having an idea what is contained in each one. However, the heads carved into the lids do not match what is known from ancient history. A jackal, crocodile, lion, and falcon. For now, nobody dares to touch the Canopic jars, needing them to be bagged and checked for prints. They are the only thing that is not coated in a horrifying glaze of crimson.

Akata is a Yoruba word that has multiple meanings. It can mean a stray cat, a wild animal or someone who grew up outside the tribe and adopted foreign values.
The word also means one who gathers or collects in Yoruba1. During colonialism, the meaning of Akata increased to include stray cat or fox and was used to refer to white people.
In some contexts, Akata means jackal or wildcat in Yoruba and is used as a derogatory word by Nigerians and Nigerian/Yoruba immigrants to insult African-Americans
At a recent Umu Igbo Unite (U.I.U) Atlanta cooking event. An unfamiliar face was walking around with a power camera snapping away at everyone. I vaguely remembered she got my shot somewhere during the 'meet-and-greet' phase of the gathering. But a little afterward, as I sat and chatted with friends, this sister came around, again, snapping and flaunting her flashy camera. Not quite sure who she was, I inquired of the guy next to me; "biko onye bụkwa asa a?'' I did lower my voice, and asked in Igbo, for a reason. But to my surprise, not only did the girl with the camera hear me but she also understood Igbo and knew I was talking about her. As I took my first dip of jollof rice, she came charging toward me; ''did you just call me 'Akata?'"
"No, no, no, no, no," I said apologetically, "I said 'Asa,' not 'Akata!'" I had to clarify, and reassured her that I said, 'Asa,' (chic) not 'Akata.' She had 'misheard' me (if that's a word). I did all I could to defuse the tension and as she mentioned her name we found out we were friends! She's my Friend, Ugo. (Yes, we had been friends on this website that has redefined friendship). "Hello Ugo, I'm Obie." "We're friends on Facebook." "Oh yes, that's you...!" Trouble averted, hugs and more smiles :)
So, what does 'Akata' really mean and why it such an offensive word? The first time I heard the word here in the U.S. was in 2006, from a Gambian. I was confused because I wasn't expecting an Igbo word from him. I couldn't make any connection whatsoever. With the passage of time, I realized that this Igbo word had other connotations. Yes, Akata is an Igbo word but it has a different meaning here in America because Akata, as used here, was introduced from another language –and the meanings are not even close.
I cannot speak to the etymology of the word, any shades of meanings it might have, or what part of the Igbo dialect it came from. But growing up in Enugwu, this was a word I remember me and my teenage friends using. In general, it's not a bad word. It denotes something/someone tough. For all I know, it's an abbreviation of the word, “Atakata,” which derives from the phrase, “a takata a gboo” (you keep chewing until you have to spit it - because it's too tough to grind). To call someone Akata in Igbo was to suggest that he/she is someone you don't want to mess with –a tough guy! Its pidgin equivalent was tear head.” Akata was not a derogatory word. If anything, it was a compliment. I can guarantee that the Igbo meaning has nothing to do with “craziness” and other American interpretations. In Igbo, Akata doesn’t mean crazy!
I have since come to understand that Akata, as used in America, comes from the Yoruba language and refers to a “fox,” “wild dog,” " I stand to be corrected. As for that derogatory term, I am vehemently opposed to the use, and to the underlying idea of that terminology on anyone!
In Igbo, however, “Akata,” “Atakata,” and “a takata a gboo” are compliments. As I remember it, the last person I called Akata was Vincent Enyama. In his prime as the goalkeeper of Nigeria's national football team, no one could get a ball past him! Not even Messi. Enyama was impervious. He's my type of Akata!
But here in the United States, there's another use of the word that is not of Igbo origin. In America, "Akata" is a disparaging term, generally used by African immigrants to deride Foundational Black Americans. I find it counterintuitive that some of us who migrated from Africa find it quite convenient to apply such a negative term to our people that were here before us; that built up this country under the most inhumane treatments; and who through the Civil Rights Movement earned the rights and privileges that we have come here to benefit from. I'm not sure if the late Civil Rights icon, John Lewis is also "Akata" in the books of those who use that label. But remember that in the 1960s and 70s, it was not our parents, uncles, and aunties marching and risking their lives to bring about the changes in American society that make our presence possible. Without the likes of John Lewis shedding his blood for us, without the likes of the four little black girls being bombed to death while in a Sunday School bible study, without many "Akata" boys and girls letting themselves be beaten by the police, bitten by police dogs, water-hosed; without the John Lewises of this world getting in good trouble, you and I might never dream of the few concessions granted to Blacks.
It does not look like Blacks are having a rosy life in America. But it used to be a whole lot worse before some "Akatas" decided to challenge the status quo. As the great John Lewis put it, "When people tell me nothing has changed, I say come walk in my shoes and I will show you change." It is fair to imagine that some of us who call our brothers and sisters "Akata" cannot muster the courage to fight half the fights that "Akatas" have fought and won for humanity's sake. Granted, there are cultural differences between peoples based on socialization and enculturation. Regardless of how deep those differences might be, we must never forget that we who migrate from Africa are not all saints and that every society has its share of good and not-so-good people. Rather than label our brothers and sisters as "Akata," we should appreciate the road they have passed through to get us all to where we are in today's America. We owe them a debt of gratitude! Even if you choose to disagree with me, just sit back and imagine walking in their shoes.

OC Interview
inspired by @its-sixxers and @tarberrymentats (who also drew the art!)
disclaimer: jackal is a huge liar so take her answers with a grain of salt. also sorry for the cowboy slang but she really does talk like this
name ➔ “Depends on who you ask. Most people call me Jackal or Courier Six. Got a dozen other names in my back pocket if you need one.”
are you single ➔ “Yep. Lucky you.” She smirks, but it doesn’t quite reach her eyes. Like she wishes her answer was different.
are you happy ➔ “I’m alive, aren’t I? Could be better, could be worse.”
are you angry ➔ “Usually.” Her smile turns cynical. “And if you’re not, you need to open your damn eyes.”
are your parents still married ➔ “Till the day they died. My mom never remarried.”
NINE FACTS
birthplace ➔ “Little town in the middle of nowhere, California. Called it Twenty-Mules.” A pause. “Hated it there when I was a kid. Looking back, it wasn’t so bad.”
hair color ➔ “Brown. Dark brown, I guess.”
eye color ➔ “Brown… ish.” When this doesn’t seem to be a sufficient answer, she rolls her eyes. “Golden brown. That fancy enough?” She doesn’t explain the way her eyes flash like a wild dog’s when she tilts her head a certain way. Must be a trick of the light.
birthday ➔ “Can’t remember. Sometime in April, I think.”
mood ➔ “Fuck, I don’t know. It depends. Right now? I’m right as rain.”
gender ➔ “Whatever you want it to be,” she winks. A well-practiced line. (Nonbinary, any pronouns)
summer or winter ➔ “Winter. Only time of the year where it’s not hot enough to fry an egg on the asphalt.”
morning or afternoon ➔ “Morning. Same reason as before.”
EIGHT THINGS ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIFE
are you in love ➔ An instant, “No.”
do you believe in love at first sight ➔ “Yeah. Don’t always work out though.”

are you afraid of commitments ➔ The question clearly catches her off-guard. “I’m not afraid of anything.”
have you hugged someone within the last week? ➔ “Yeah, I fixed up a power fist for Vee and she hugged me.”
have you ever had a secret admirer ➔ “Don’t know. Reckon someone out there was sweet on me but didn’t have the guts to say so.”

SIX CHOICES
love or lust ➔ “I tend to have more luck with the latter,” she shrugs.
lemonade or iced tea ➔ “I’ll take a drink with ice any day of the week. You can usually only find that in Vegas. Prefer the taste of lemonade, though. Shame it’s so damn expensive.”
cats or dogs ➔ “Dogs. More useful out in the wastes. Never seen a guard cat.”
a few best friends or many regular friends ➔ “Best friends. I’ve had too many ‘regular’ friends stab me in the back.”
wild night out or romantic night in ➔ “I prefer goin’ out, especially on the Strip.”
day or night ➔ “Better cover at night.”
FIVE HAVE YOU EVERS
been caught sneaking out ➔ “Yeah, I got into a lot of trouble when I was a dumb kid.”
fallen down/up the stairs ➔ She laughs a little. “I’ve been known to hit the bottle hard from time to time. It happens.”
wanted something/someone so badly it hurt? ➔ Any smile that was on her face immediately fades into a tight line. “Yeah.”
wanted to disappear ➔ “Sure. I’m pretty damn good at it, too. Only a matter of time before I hit the road again.” There’s a distant look in her eyes.
FOUR PREFERENCES
smile or eyes ➔ “You can tell a lot about someone by lookin’ ‘em in the eyes. Windows to the soul, and all that bullshit.”
shorter or taller ➔ “Don’t really have a preference.”
intelligence or attraction ➔ “Attraction. I can’t keep up with anyone who calls themself intelligent. Care more about what they do than what they say.”
hook-up or relationship ➔ “Ain’t that the same question as love or lust? Hook-ups, I guess. Easier that way.”
FAMILY
do you and your family get along ➔ “Me and my mom didn’t get along so well after my dad died,” she said, unusually serious. “I don’t know if my brother is still above snakes. Don’t know if we’d get along anymore, either. Used to.”
would you say you have a “messed up life” ➔ She taps some of the ash off of her cigarette. “Who doesn’t?”
have you ever ran away from home ➔ “Yeah. Still running, I think. Haven’t found a new place to call home yet.”
have you ever gotten kicked out ➔ “No. Should’ve been.”
FRIENDS
do you secretly hate one of your friends ➔ “Don’t have the patience to put up with someone I don’t like.”
do you consider all of your friends good friends ➔ “Yeah. They’re someone to ride the river with, that’s for damn sure. Ain’t never had friends like them.”
who is your best friend ➔ “ED-E. If we’re not counting robots, Boone. We’ve been through the mill together.”
who knows everything about you ➔ She takes one last drag of her cigarette before dropping it and crushing it under her heel. “Nobody, not even me. And I’d prefer to keep it that way.”

the only certainty
warnings: angst, insecurities
content: hurt/comfort, angst, insecurities
characters: timeskip!Atsumu x reader
date: 2/11/21
word count: 1.4k+
notes: Okay so I know I said I wouldn’t be posting as much but I ended up coming with a ton of ideas so expect more updates soon lol. Also I just wanna know who tf hurt me because these ideas can’t be coming from nowhere. I’m really out here bawling while I write. Anyway, enjoy my blood, sweat, and tears :)
You shifted on the couch, pulling the thin blanket up to your chest.
Tears pricked at your eyes as you remembered what Atsumu said to you two days ago. The MSBY Black Jackals had a match against another team and you came to watch.
You first met at one of his matches in high school and he began relentlessly pursuing you after spotting you in the crowd. Although you were determined to focus on school, you slowly began falling for him after seeing his passion towards volleyball and the kindness he showed you.
Since the two of you met, you made an effort to go to all of his matches. After all, you wanted to support him and you knew how much volleyball meant to him.
But, you were always bothered by how many girls were around him and how he seemed to thrive off of their attention. You mentioned it to him multiple times and he always reassured you that you were the only one for him. You would answer his reassurances with a smile that never seemed to reach your eyes because no matter how many times he assured you, it seemed like there was someone out there that was just better, prettier, smarter.
It was bad enough that you started off the day feeling insecure after you overheard Rina, one of his fangirls, talking about your relationship before the match and saying how Atsumu would be better suited with her. You glanced at her and her smile, noticing how tall she was, how confident, how different she was from you.
You only felt worse after seeing her walk up to him once the team won the match, and instead of finding you in the audience like he always did, he smiled at her.
You watched from the sidelines, feeling your heart ache the longer he talked with her and your thoughts began to spiral. You couldn’t help but wonder why he chose you in the first place when it was clear he was better suited with girls like her.
But you decided to say nothing, plastering on a weak smile and murmuring a quiet “congratulations” when he finally broke away from his conversation with Rina and approached you.
Atsumu rambled on about the match as the two of you made your way out of the arena with the rest of the team and you could see that he was truly proud of how he played with the huge grin splitting his face. You felt your lips curling into a smile as you stared at him but your silence didn’t go unnoticed and he paused, his grin slipping from his face.
“What’s wrong?” his eyebrows furrowed, searching your face for any indication of what had happened. “Did someone say something?”
“It’s really nothing,” you shrugged, trying to muster up the strength to continue smiling to assure him you were okay but he cupped your cheek, leaning down to stare you in the eyes.
“C’mon, just tell me,” he frowned.
“It’s just-,” you started, biting your lip as your uncertainties began growing once again, “After the game, Rina went up to you and the two of you just looked so good together.”
Atsumu was expecting a real reason as to why you were upset but instead he got another one of your unnecessary insecurities and he just wasn’t in the mood after winning the match he had practiced so hard for. His hand dropped from your face and he ran it through his hair. “Stop making a big deal out of nothing. How many times do I have to tell you for you to get it in your head.”
You swallowed back your hurt and opened your mouth to change the topic but he rolled his eyes, “Why do you have to be so insecure? It’s not like I’m dating her.”
Atsumu waited for you to respond but when you answered with your silence, he sighed, “Look, can we stop talking about this? We just won and discussing how insecure you are is only going to ruin the mood.”
“Oh, um, okay,” you murmured, fixing your gaze onto your feet and blinking back your tears.
“Are you coming with us to celebrate?” he asked, not looking back while you trailed behind him and the rest of the team.
“I’m not feeling too well so I think I’ll just go home,” you whispered.
“Whatever,” he muttered, too caught up in his own thoughts to realize just how much he hurt you.
You went to bed alone that night, burying your face into your pillow to muffle your sobs. By the time you realized how late it was, you saw that it was 2:00 a.m. and he had yet to come home.
For a moment, you wondered if he was out with someone other than the team but you quickly pushed the thought out of your mind once you felt your chest ache again.
Thoughts of whether he still loved you consumed you and you felt the overwhelming pressure to do better and be better but you knew at the end of the day, it would never be enough.
At the end of the day, you weren’t enough.
You left the apartment early the next morning, wondering where Atsumu had stayed if he hadn’t come home to you. But you forced yourself to focus on your job, pushing all of your anxiety out of your mind, only to come home to an empty apartment.
With a heavy heart you got ready for bed and set up a place to sleep on the couch, knowing that if he didn’t come home yesterday, it was most likely because he was drunk and stayed at a friend’s place and would be coming home today.
You laid there, waiting for the familiar jangle of his keys and pondered whether you were making the right decision. But when he opened the door and walked right past you, you knew there was nothing left to be done.
“Hey, Atsumu.”
His eyes widened at your use of his name and he froze in place. You never called him by his name unless it was something serious and from how swollen your eyes were, he knew it was something you had spent hours crying over.
You took a breath, trying to keep your voice as even as possible, “I think we should break up.”
Atsumu stared at you, shocked. He didn’t expect you to want to break up with him but when he recalled the harsh words he exchanged with you after the match, he winced. He never wanted to hurt you and he opened his mouth to apologize but you began speaking, your chin quivering as you struggled to stop the tears from escaping.
“You deserve better than me,” your voice trembled. “I’m just going to bring you down with my insecurities and I don’t want that.”
You took a moment to compose yourself before continuing, “You deserve to be happy, even if it’s not with me.”
“Baby, no,” Atsumu cried, shaking his head. “No, don’t say that.”
“It’s my fault. I’ll do better just tell me you don’t mean that.”
You choked on a sob, unable to bear the desperation in his gaze. He rarely cried and in the moments that he did, you always tried your best to comfort him. But now, you weren’t sure you were the right person to be wiping away his tears.
“Please, I’m sorry. I love you,” he whispered, walking over to the couch and grabbing your hands in his. “You’re it for me. There’s no one else that could ever compare.”
You stared down at your intertwined hands, “Are you sure? What if choosing me is a mistake.”
Atsumu’s heart clenched at your words. He hated himself for never realizing just how unloved you felt. How did he never notice how much you were hurting? How much had you been holding back from him because you were afraid of making him unhappy?
“You’re the only certainty in my life,” Atsumu murmured, his gaze softening as you began tearing up again.
“Well, you and volleyball,” he joked, making you smile.
“I promise I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you so you never feel this way again,” he vowed and pressed a kiss to your forehead. “I love you.”
You leaned into his embrace and whispered a quiet “I love you” back.
You knew the road ahead would be far from perfect but you didn’t mind. Because as long as Atsumu continued being by your side, you had no doubt that everything would be alright.

Haikyuu!! SPOILERS: Chapter 401, How We Connect the Dots.
**PENULTIMATE SPOILERS BELOW**
I just posted a video with my live reactions to the chapter, but here are my highlights, because FURUDATE YOU MADMAN GENIUS. This chapter connected so much together. So, let’s do:
My Top 10 Thoughts on Haikyuu!! Chapter 401:
10. Of course. In true Furudate fashion, he has Kageyama block the spike from Hinata, BUT, what Kageyama doesn’t realize is all the training on the beach Shoyo has done to prepare for such a moment. And that heel kick! *swoons* Also, someone reacting to Season 4, Episode 9 of the anime, where Hinata kicks the ball back to himself called this happening all those months ago...Furudate is next level at foreshadowing. Not that we didn’t already know that.
9. Hey, remember how in the VERY FIRST chapter of Haikyuu!! Shoyo did this crazy run across the court to score? Yeah, Furudate knows we remember. And he pulls this -- and Kageyama’s beautiful reaction, only for --
-- Only for it to all be a DECOY. Kageyama, you made this monster, you know. I love that Shoyo has come all this way from wanting to score all the points to accepting that the decoy DOES have a vital role to play, and in this instance, it’s allowing Bokuto to score the winning point for the MSBY Black Jackals. Just look at that smile! And of course, Tanaka and Asahi KNOW the power of Hinata as a Decoy...because they’ve been in Bokuto’s shoes before.
8. UGH, the aftermath of that moment is glorious, which will detail down below -- but I love Shoyo and Kageyama’s interaction, though. How they’re still keeping track of each other’s wins and losses, exhausting Miya, hilariously, and showing that they’re on equal footing now, after all these years. This chapter is just cementing the last several chapters’ worth of character development.
7. ARE YOU SHIPPERS READY FOR YOUR FOOD?!
Because these next few pages were healing my shipper heart. I mean, yes, the Kagehina fanbase is raving right now, but let’s talk about THESE ships below, starting with:
Tsukishima x Yamaguchi:
So, Tsukishima, of course, is not sappy about any of this and just points out how the season’s just getting started (ready the fanfics, y’all).
And of course, Yamaguchi wants to watch Tsuki play! Yachi says she’ll come too! I LOVE how just like he was with Akiteru, he doesn’t want them to come watch (even though we all know he’ll love it when they’re there). Now, some people have commented that Yamaguchi could be with Yachi, but y’all...Yachi is in Tokyo. Yamaguchi and Tsuki both live in Miyagi. I can’t wait for all the Sendai Frog/TsukiYama fanfics!
If you’re looking for an extra Kagehina crumble, just look at the end of this adorable exchange between Romero, smol adorable Rubens, and Shoyo (who perfectly crouches down to talk to him MY HEART I CAN’T), to see Kageyama notice that Shoyo can speak multiple languages...oh, honey! If only you know about Hinata and Pedro’s marathons of DBZ in Portugese and English! ^^
Also, Furudate WE SEE YOU. We see you being meta and implying that now Haikyuu!! is over, he’s moving on...Akaashi’s line about going forward hit me hard...it’s like he’s telling us, the fandom, that going on to start something new isn’t so bad. SO YOU SAY.
BOKUAKA NATION -- WE CANON NOW, RIGHT?!
I love that Akaashi gets to interview Bokuto (IS HE GOING TO BE THE STAR of the Volleyball manga Tenma Udai is writing?! He would be PERFECT for it!) and how happy Akaashi looks, even if he and Bokuto realize how differently they view the term “normal.”
ALSO, it’s implied above that Akaashi, Bokuto, and Tenma were going out for drinks...which now....we know that it’s just Bokuto and Akaashi, since Tenma was going home. Uhm, FAN FIC WRITERS ASSEMBLE!
I also love that Udai joins the club, along with Fukurodani’s coach and manager, of people who realize that Bokuto and Akaashi are weirdos but they are weirdos together, so it’s fine.
Keeping the “Ship Train” going, we get little bits of Shimizu x Yachi from the bathhouse before the Inarizaki Match, where Kiyoko finally acknowledges she is okay showing her legs...thanks to Yachi’s words. I also find Suga wanting to know “the tea” on the situation to be adorable.
AND FINALLY, YES, Y’ALL:
I was spoiled with Kuroo’s return, but seriously, Furudate, you saved him for the end here so INTENTIONALLY.
Because OF COURSE Kuroo would work for the JVA. As a promoter. CONNECTING people...with Volleyball...because that’s the Nekoma way.
And FURUDATE ARE YOU SUGGESTING TO US THAT KUROO AND KENMA ARE BUSINESS PARTNERS AND COLLABORATORS BECAUSE MY KUROKEN HEART IS SOARING --
-- and let it be known Atsumu Miya rightfully doesn’t trust Kuroo, and neither does Sakusa. A nice SakuAtsu crumb where we actually see Sakusa agree with Miya without sacrasm or question! Poor Shoyo is a salesman’s dream, though. I mean, Kuroo does look a little sketchy in some of those shots...BUT....
6. Kuroo’s speech about sports was SO fitting. Seriously, everything he says here is BASICALLY what makes Haikyuu!! such a great series. I DID laugh out loud at the line about “hardly anybody dies.”
*Flashbacks to “Dead Daichi” meme*
5. It’s taken us the ENTIRE series, but Kageyama finally talks to Kindaichi and Kunimi. This was so heartwarming, seeing Kageyama wanting to play WITH THEM. AS A TEAM. This made my heart expand three sizes. The character development on Kageyama, and Kindaichi, is through the roof.
I also LOVE Kunimi the most in these panels. Kunimi is a MOOD.
Y’ALL. I’VE WAITED 400 CHAPTERS FOR THIS PANEL OF THESE THREE HAPPY AND BECOMING FRIENDS AGAIN.
4. I love that Hoshiumi doesn’t see Hinata as a Rival, but as someone that is going to help him show the rest of the world the strength of someone who doesn’t have height. I also find it interesting that we see the Japanese Olympic Coach walking out just as Hoshiumi gives us that beautiful gaze. So...does Hoshiumi know he’s going to be on the Olympic team, with Hinata, maybe? Foreshadowing, perhaps?
3. Okay, okay, I held it together until this page.
It wasn’t Ushijima’s panel with Washijo that got me.
It wasn’t Saeko and Akane reuniting, though that was sweet.
It wasn’t the three “Pure Captains” reuniting, though it made my heart happy.
It honestly wasn’t the five first years together, either. They’re all so happy and having a laugh at Kageyama’s expense, and as beautiful as that panel is.
SUGAWARA IN LINE TO GET KAGEYAMA’S AUTOGRAPH.
That is what got me.
Him in line, so meekly, to get the autograph of his kouhai, the man Suga joked would have to tell about how much he learned from HIM when he was giving out interviews and autographs...I just...Sugawara made me cry. That is all.
2. Then there’s this last page. 2021.
"We overcame difficulties and stand here.”
Furudate really said “screw you” to Covid messing up the timeline.
Yes, seeing Kageyama and Hinata in their original jersey numbers was amazing, but I think we all saw that coming if these two happened to get on the Olympic team.
What I want to focus on are the two countries we see included in the bottom corner here. We see:
Brazil -- and some fluffy haired man carrying the flag for the team.
And we see the United States -- there’s several American Flags and stars and stripes on the shirts of the crowd, there.
SO, HEADCANON TIME:
* Oikawa was on the Argentinean League, so could he play for Brazil? It’s not likely, but not impossible....BUT, I don’t think that’s it.
I don’t think Oikawa is on Japan’s National Team for the Olympics.
If he is on the Olympic Team, I think he’ll be on America’s.
Why? Because, and this could be because I’m the biggest IwaOi shipper, but Iwaizumi was still in the United States with Ushijima’s father at the end of Chapter 395. And if he’s still there, there is no reason why Iwaizumi couldn’t be a physical trainer alongside Ushijima’s father for the U.S. Olympic team. And why wouldn’t Oikawa trek over to the States to be on the same team as Iwa-Chan’s working with? I’m probably wrong, BUT --
We also still need to see Seijoh’s banner, and as others have theorized, how fitting would it be to see Hinata, Kageyama, and (probably) Ushijima on the team facing Oikawa? I just....I’m betting money that Oikawa shows up in 402. I hope we at least see him on the Olympic Stage. OIKAWA DESERVES IT.
1. So, who are we missing that hasn’t been shown yet?
We still need to see the rest of Nekoma (Lev, Yaku, Yamamoto, Kai....could they be in the stands or on the Japan team? I guess we’ll find out!)
We haven’t seen Daishou and Mika -- I would love to see them watching or narrating in the audience during the Olympic game.
And finally, yes, we’ve seen Tendo in the Chapter 395 flashback, but we’ve never seen what he’s DOING. Furudate has shown us with every character what they’ve been doing since the timeskip....EXCEPT TENDO. I’m calling it that he’ll appear one more time next chapter, too.
So....guys....I’m staying off of Social Media from Wednesday to Sunday next week, to prep for the last chapter and not be spoiled. I’m going to do a live reaction for YouTube, and I’ll post it here. You can see the one I did for 401 now.
Furudate, this series has been immaculate. Time for one more round.
Let’s all cry together next week.

Chapter 17: Sakusa Musubi
[prev] [next]
[masterlist] [kia’s slambook]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“The pre-season starts tomorrow, right?” You ask Kiyoomi as the three of you prepare for bed. Kia is settled in the middle of his bed, wrapped in a blanket burrito. Kiyoomi has her like that so she’ll stop moving around and sleep immediately.
“Yeah,” Kiyoomi answers, taking the Kia burrito in his arms. She starts giggling, excited to be lifted up. “I said go to sleep or I’ll eat you.” Kiyoomi jokingly bites on her covered leg, making her squeal.
“No! No! Don’t eat me!” Kia shrieks in defense, her giggles turning into laughter. “Mama, help! Papa’s eating me!”
You grin from ear to ear, Kia and Kiyoomi’s interaction bringing joy to your heart. You let Kia be, continuing to talk with Kiyoomi. “Can we watch you play tomorrow? Kia has never seen you in an official game.”
“That sounds like a good idea. I’ll tell my manager,” Kiyoomi replies, gently throwing Kia back on the bed.
Kia manages to get out of the wrap, so she crawls going to you. He pulls her back by the ankles, bringing her back close to him. He starts tickling her sides, making her squirm around. “Mama! Help!” Hearing Kia’s sincere pleads, you sigh.
“Omi, that’s enough,” you tell your fiancé. He stops, Kia panting heavily. He whispers something to her and you immediately know what it is. “Don’t go near me. Stay there.” You warn them but they’re already crawling going to you.
“Give me a reason why I shouldn’t attack you?” Kiyoomi asks, hands on his hips. Kia mimics him, her hands on her hips as well.
“Why would you attack me?” You whine, raising your arms, ready to push them away.
“Wrong answer,” Kiyoomi says, hovering on top of you. Kia goes on his back, her arms wrapped around his neck, her legs hanging off his sides. “I’ll you another chance.”
“Yeah! Another chance!” Kia repeats, peeking her head at you.
You can’t help but smile. “I’m your fiancée?” You answer but unsure. Kiyoomi squints his eyes at you, thinking about your answer. He shakes his head, his hands ready to tickle your sides. “Kia! Save me! You love me, right?” You plead to your daughter.
“Kia, don’t help her,” Kiyoomi convinces. “You love me, too, right?” You scowl at him.
Kia goes down from Kiyoomi’s back and sits down beside the two of you. Kiyoomi sits back on the bed, waiting for Kia’s answer. She takes a good look at the to of you, but doesn’t answer.
“I thought I’d never get to ask you this, but here we are,” you chuckle, sitting up and leaning on the headboard.
“What are you talking about?” Kiyoomi apprehensively glances at you, worried about the chuckle you gave out.
“Who do you love more? Mama or papa?”
The room falls silent, the two of you staring at Kia anticipatingly. Kiyoomi crosses his arms, his eyes telling her to choose him. You smile at her, expecting to be chosen. Her eyes shuffle from you to her dad, a serious but empty look plastered on her face.
“I’m sure she’ll choose me,” you tell Kiyoomi proudly.
He scoffs, “If you’re so sure, why has she not given an answer yet?”
“She’s thinking of a way not to break your heart,” you reason confidently. He snickered at your sureness, also certain that Kia will choose him.
“The only one with a broken heart tonight will be you.” He sticks his tongue out, mocking you. You charge at him, but he grabs your hands and stops you. “Kia, tell your mama that you love your papa more.”
You two don’t get a respond, so you check her. She’s lying on the bed, her body under her blanket. You let go of Kiyoomi and fold your arms together. Kiyoomi pokes her but she doesn’t move.
“Good night,” Kia tells the two of you. She’s avoiding your question. You and Kiyoomi laugh, leaving her to sleep. The two of you end up with broken hearts.
You get off the bed to wash your face at his bathroom. He follows you, saying he has to wash his face, too. He locks the bathroom door, so you gulp. You keep your distance, wary of his actions. You know he’s up to something. And you know you can’t say no to him.
“2 meters,” you tell him, making sure you’re out of reach from him. He pouts at you. “We did it last night and Kia is just outside. Don’t even think about it.”
He moves closer to you, but you step away further. “The walls are soundproof.”
“I swear to god Sakusa Kiyoom, move any closer and I’ll-,” you warn him.
“You’ll what?” He says with a cocky tone, stepping closer to you. He lifts your chin up with his finger, his darkening irises piercing through yours. “You’ll what, angel?”
You cursed under your breath, your knees becoming weak. He smirks, seeing your pressed thighs. You pull him by the back of his neck, making him bend down so you can capture his lips into a kiss. He tilts his head to the side so you can kiss him better. He places his hand on your butt, squeezing on it. You spring in surprise and he takes this as a chance to lift you up by your thighs.
“Let’s take a shower.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Omi! What happened to your back?” The whole changing room of the MSBY Black Jackals team freezes at Bokuto’s question. They’ve all seen what Bokuto’s talking about. They just choose not to say something about it, afraid to be in their teammate’s bad side.
“Did Kia scratch you?” Hinata asks, worriedly looking at Sakusa’s back.
“It’s from (Y/N),” Sakusa replies nonchalantly, staring at his two curious and worried teammates.
“These idiots...” Atsumu mutters to himself. He takes a peek at Kiyoomi’s back and can’t help it but smirk. ‘He really went hard last night? And before a game day? Nasty. Just nasty.’
You on the other hand is walking Kia around outside of the arena, waiting for their manager. He arrives and gives you two the special passes that Kiyoomi has requested for. You thank him and he leads you two near the locker rooms so you can meet Kiyoomi before the game.
“Mu-chan!” Kia squeals, running towards Atsumu. You watch her as she latches on the setter.
Your eyes wander around the room, looking for Kiyoomi’s curly hair. You feel someone blow on your ear so you flinch, looking back only to see the man you were looking for. His mask was pulled down to his chin so you could see his whole face.
“Are you sure Kia won’t be afraid of the crowd later? He asks you, staring at his daughter from the distance. “You know how loud it can get when the game starts.”
“I think she’ll be fine,” you reassure him. Kia sees Kiyoomi so she comes down from Atsumu’s arms and start dashing back to you and her father.
“Papa!” She screams on top of her lungs on her way to the two of you. Kiyoomi squats down, his arms wide open, ready to hug her. She prances to his arms, hugging him tightly. “I’m gonna watch you play!”
“Is that so? I’ll do my best then,” he replies, gently smiling at her. Their manager calls them back to prepare. “Give me a good luck kiss.” Kiyoomi lowers his head, Kia planting a kiss on his forehead. He stands up and leans down, waiting for a kiss from you.
“Win the match and I’ll kiss you,” you tease, chuckling. He rolls his eyes then puts his mask back on. “Good luck, Omi.”
You and Kia head to your designated seats, waiting for the game to start. The team starts to enter and the roars get louder, startling Kia. You calm her down, making sure she won’t cry. She sees Kiyoomi walk on the court, her fears forgotten. She leans near the railing, wanting to see him clearly.
“Kyo! Papa!” She screams on top of her lungs, waving her arms. Kiyoomi spots her and grins at her, taking the attention of cameras and the commentators. Sakusa Kiyoomi smiling is rare. They got to take a lot of footage for the fan service.
“Flying kiss,” you instruct her. She puts her small palm on her pouty lips, then flicks her wrist, making a smooch sound. Kiyoomi pretends to catch the kiss then swallows it. Kia giggles, turning his smile into a grin.
“Go Omi!! Get that service ace!” You screamed, your voice echoing through the entire gym. You even beat the Itachiyama Academy’s cheering squad loudness. He looked up to you, a little bit embarrassed. Not by you, but because his ears were turning red from excitement. He loved hearing you cheer for him.
You blew a kiss at him. You saw him shyly catch the kiss with his hand, making you smile. He wasn’t a big fan of PDA but he loved showing off that you were together. So he allowed all these cringe-worthy actions in public.
The whistle blew, signaling that he could serve. Before he could throw his service toss, he kissed the palm of his hand that caught your kiss.
And he got a service ace.
You look up to the screens hanging on the ceiling and see that the cameras have captured everything. Everyone is cooing and squealing, the commentators asking who the little girl Sakusa Kiyoomi is being soft for. Kia sees herself on the screen so she hides her face on your chest, shy. The cameras move away, giving her comfort back.
The game starts and the commentators introduce the players. “And for the MSBY Black Jackals!”
“Musubi?” Kia tilts her head to the side, the name of the team capturing her attention. “Can I change my name to Musubi?”
“You wanna be called Sakusa Musubi?” You giggle at her sudden suggestion. She nods, determined. “We can’t change your name, baby. Uncle Keikei chose your name for you. He’ll be heart broken if you change your name.”
“Then can we name my baby brother Sakusa Musubi?” Kia asks. You blink your eyes multiples times in confusion. Maybe you just misheard her because of the noise.
“What did you say baby?” You make her clarify.
“I want my baby brother to be Sakusa Musubi,” she repeats. You didn’t hear her wrong.
“You want a baby brother?” You chuckle, not taking her words seriously. You take it as one of her random babbles. “Did your uncle Keikei and Kenken tell you to say that again?”
“No. Papa.” Her reply makes you stop, your full attention on her.
“Papa?” You raise an eyebrow and she nods.
“Papa Kyo. He said you and him will give me baby brother.”

The Westmoore Tragedies | Chapter 2
[ TW: Gore below the ‘Keep Reading’ line. ]
“Our children aren’t safe!”
“Have they found who killed those poor people?”
“It’s gonna happen again!”
“We want answers!”
More voices soon joined in, eventually creating a dull roar of overlapping panic from a slowly growing crowd of villagers that had gathered before the town hall—it was a bi-weekly occurrence by now since the massacre was discovered. Rodarin shifted his posture against the stone wall of the storefront he leaned upon, watching and listening as they shouted their concerns and pointed fingers. He couldn’t blame them—hells, he sympathized with them. They were scared because no one had answers, and they were angry there was nothing they could do. A gentle sting of pain pulsed through his lower lip as he bit at it in frustration, quickly turning from the crowd as he made his way to the schoolhouse. He needed to pick up his son and daughter early so they could begin packing their clothes and toys. Sarina planned to leave with the twins, take them to stay with her sister in La Noscea while Rodarin stayed a few more nights to find out what he could.
Firm steps echoed along the tiled floors of the hallway, his stare held upon the dull reflections within the tile while he lost himself to his thoughts. Westmoore had always prided itself on its higher educational standards—it was the reason he and Sarina moved here once they learned she was pregnant. It wasn’t a massive, sprawling city like Limsa Lominsa—but it wasn’t some small, run-down village either. There were multiple classrooms, one for each grade. Luckily, his children were only a year apart—their classrooms were directly across from one another at the end of the hall to his left. As he rounded the corner however, a sudden chill licked at his spine, causing him to stop in his tracks.
He had been so absorbed in his thoughts about the circumstances surrounding the disappearances, that he hadn’t been paying attention to his own. This wasn’t right.. something was very wrong about this. The hallways were unnaturally dark given the time of day—and even more alarming were the sudden lack of windows. His breaths became slightly unsteady as a sense of claustrophobia gripped at his lungs. It was far, far too quiet. There were no murmurs of lectures, nor childlike chatter and laughter. With this level of silence, he didn’t doubt he could even hear the soft scribbling of pencils from the classrooms on the second floor—but there was nothing. He took a few quick steps, which seemed to echo endlessly in this dreadful silence, to peer down the main hallway. The front doors were closed. They were open when he entered—they were always open to help keep the hallways cool during the hotter days. And that was another thing—the cold. The chilled air that sank deep into his flesh that was beginning to make his teeth chatter. This wasn’t right.
His heart began to drum within his chest, heated breath billowing from parted lips as he walked briskly towards the end of the left hallway—he needed to see his children. The doors to the classrooms nearly burst open behind the urgency of his entries, but both would be empty. His heart hammered loudly in his ears, hands lifting to run through and pull at his hair as his mind raced with horrible possibilities. Who took his children? What were they doing to them? And were they even still alive? Soft whimpers and murmured pleads began to dribble from his lips as tears gathered—but fighting through the sickening fear that knotted in his stomach, he sprinted for the other classrooms. With shoulder positioned forward, he burst through door after door—each more violent than the last as wood splintered and hinges cracked. He had eventually searched the entire first floor—even the main office and cafeteria. As he approached the staircase that led to the second floor, the shadows seemed to grow darker. His frenzied pace faltered, shaking fingers resting upon the rail as he peered up into the dark.
He proceeded with caution, climbing the staircase with slow, careful steps as he took this time to try his damnedest at calming himself. Rounding the bend that brought the staircase the rest of the way up, a deep crimson hue began to bleed and taint the shadows, corrupting it into a sickly crimson that tainted his vision—his careful stride pausing a moment to adjust his eyes. His heart skipped a beat as he heard the faint rustling of paper and muffled laughter of children, his pace quickening once more at the mere prospect of finding his son and daughter. Though once he reached the top of the steps, his excitement was quickly crushed by the smeared blood that streaked along the hallway. The first classroom’s door on the right was wide open, blood pooling into the hallway from within. He could make out the smeared drag marks that lead from this open classroom to the one at the end of the hall, with its door closed. Various small shoe prints were left behind in the blood’s trail, all following towards the same closed room. He inched his way down the hall, shaky breaths filling the air between the pauses of muffled laughter and movement that came from the closed classroom. On his way, he carefully inched closer to the open door where the blood trail originated.
His pulse hammered away in his ears as he mustered the nerve to peek into the doorway. The chairs and desks were scattered in disarray while mutilated bodies of adults—teachers and staff—littered the room like trash in pools of blood. Their flesh had been ripped and shredded to literal ribbons, and their faces seemed to have been hollowed out—no eyes, no teeth. “Valrin?.. Mia?..” Rodarin hissed in a pleading whisper, his ears straining as he silently prayed for an answer—only for it to go unheard. Jaw clenched tightly, he stepped back into the hallway and continued to follow the trail towards the closed door at the end of the hall.
His hand hovered over the doorknob as he listened to the commotion within. Occasional laughter, gentle snips of scissors, rustling of paper—if not for the insane circumstances, one would simply assume it was time for crafts. Slowly, steadily, the door opened as Rodarin watched in horror. Various children were scattered among the room, sitting beside the fresh corpses of their teachers—some were still twitching, kept alive to suffer longer. Soft grunts of effort escaped one child as he clipped away at the flesh of a dead woman’s arm. Others were cutting various shapes and patterns into limbs and torsos. Ribbons of skin were used as bindings and plasters for other small crafts. Eyes were scooped from their sockets with tiny fingers as the onlookers cried “Ewwwwww~!” in playful disgust, tossed from one to the other in a sick game of catch. They were playing.. Their faces were lit up in delight, not a care in the world as they played in the blood and gore of their victims. In the obscene horror of it all, Rodarin almost didn’t notice the dark, shadow-covered children standing off to the side, watching the others play with wide eyes and plastered smiles of pure white.
“Mr. Calrise.” He jumped at the formal call of his name, turning quickly to glance down the hall—which was empty. When he looked back, the shadowed children were before him, clawing at his legs as they tried to climb up. He could feel their tiny fingernails digging into his flesh. “Mr. Calrise?” He heard the call again, but was overcome by the weight of the climbing shadows—falling to the ground as his head cracked upon the tile during its whip back. “Rodarin!” A smack stung at his cheek, his eyes bolting open while he gasped and wheezed in panic. Melrin’s hands pressed to his chest, keeping him steady as he studied Rodarin with a worried, concerned expression. Young teens peered past Melrin from the classroom doorway, staring in curiosity and slight fear. “Rodarin, you alright?” Melrin mumbled as he helped him to his feet. “I.. uh..” He was at a loss for words, completely stunned as he looked around. Everything was normal, aside from having woken up on the ground. Melrin gave him a light pat on the back. “You just came to my classroom, stared for a while, then fell over. You feelin’ okay?.. You’re bleedin’” Melrin commented as he gestured towards the bloodstained leggings of Rodarin’s pants.
With tentative fingers he peeled back the cloth, revealing the various tiny scratches that had sunk deep into his flesh. A nauseating panic still gripped at his heart, but for whatever reason, he was back. And he needed to see his children. He needed to leave. “I’m fine. Got scratched up by a damn jackal earlier, must’ve had some disease—feeling all out of place.” He said, fabricating his story quickly as he gave a quick apology and walked briskly towards the staircase with a slight limp. He was on the second floor, and the injuries were still there. It was real, it had to have been. So then why was everything fine now? Back on the first floor, normality had been restored—no busted doors, and only more questions plaguing his mind. He made for the end of the side hall again, finding his children alive and well—and giving them each a long embrace, embarrassing them in front of their classmates. If only they knew why..
He spent the rest of his day with his children, pushing what had happened to the corners of his mind. His children were safe, and he was thankful. That night, he helped them pack their bags, making sure they had enough room for all their favorite toys to keep them entertained while they were away. A restless night awaited him, peeking in to check on them while they slept every ten or twenty minutes as he tried to figure out what the hells had happened. Sleep wouldn’t come until the next morning, Sarina and the kids giving their farewell hugs and kisses as they made off for La Noscea. Rodarin collapsed on the couch, his eyes no longer able to stay open. It was short lived, possibly only three or four hours passing before frantic knocking came to his front door. It took him a moment to heave himself up from the soft embrace of the cushions, the front door creaking open to reveal a captain of the Fleet. “Rodarin, come by the schoolhouse. We found the staff dead.. It’s happened again..”

request | bokuto, oikawa, and atsumu with a singer!reader who has been away on tour
words | 1.4k
author’s note | uwuuu this is such a cute idea anon! hope this is satisfactory :3 also I kind of strayed from the topic? lol

↬ bokuto koutarou
most of your tours before were only a day or two long at most, because you would only be touring around Japan
it was for this reason that koutarou never realised how lonely it was when you weren’t around :(
it wasn’t too bad if he had practice, because he’d eventually get distracted by hinata and atsumu
but that one time it was really bad because 1. your tour was a week long, and 2. since msby black jackals had just finished playing some big matches, they had a few days off
he moped around for the whole day, called akaashi five(5) times, and pouted when he tried calling you and it didn’t go through
twitter blew up because he tweeted on his main that he was lonely and wanted someone to accompany him :(
hinata was spending the day with kageyama; atsumu was back at hyogo; and sakusa just ignored him so he just spent the whole day at home wallowing in loneliness (poor babie <3 )
luckily, there was practice the next day, and hinata was able to coax him out of emo mood half an hour into practice
by the time the week was over, this boy was vibrating with excitement to see you
if he had a tail, it would be wagging at two hundred crotchet beats per minute
even with your sunglasses and hat on, he was able to recognise you and I am not joking when I say this man screamed at the sight of you, ran across the airport to pick you up :)
this man is not going to let you go for the next five hours
he held your hand the whole drive back home, then insisted on getting into the shower with you, cuddled you while waiting for takeout, made you sit on his lap while the two of you ate, cuddled again while watching a movie... etc. you get the idea
the next morning when he wakes up with your in his arms he has the biggest smile on his face because he’s been waking up alone for the past week and now that you’re back he’s going to ignore his morning run in favour of staying in bed with you for ten more minutes :3
↬ oikawa tooru
he tries not to be clingy because he doesn’t want you to get tired of him but damnnn he misses you so much :(
and then he proceeds to feel bad because the only thing he can think of is that you must’ve felt this lonely too when he had to fly out of argentina to play international matches
for every night that you’re gone he has to resist the urge to call you because he knows you’re going to be tired and you need your rest but jskjksjskjs he wants to hear your voice
if you call him first he’ll try his best to not sound too excited but the truth is,,, this cute baby missed you so much
‘did you miss me?’ you meant it in a pleasing tone, but you didn’t expect your boyfriend to literally have a mental breakdown on the other side of the line
he goes to sleep with a smile on his face, because even though he can’t feel your warmth next to him, he can hear your soft breathing through his phone, and that’ll have to be enough for now
(he also promises himself that the next time he flies out of the country, he’ll make sure to call you every night)
that isn’t to say he isn’t affected, though
his teammates notice that his sets are just a slight bit off when you’re not around
that’s not to say he doesn’t set well, it just isn’t as accurate as it normally is
the day that you fly back coincidentally clashes with a match, so he makes sure to call you the night before and apologise for not being able to pick you up from the airport
he’s doing his best to concentrate on the match, but between his phases of strong focus, his brain is filled with thoughts of going home and seeing you, your hair still damp from your shower
god, he missed you so much
the game flies past quickly, a quick victory for his team- but the serotonin that the win gives him is nothing compared to the feeling in his heart when he turns and spots you, waving with a smile from the stands, dressed in his former, turquoise-and-white Seijoh jersey (that’s how he always picks you out in a crowd- because you’re always wearing glasses and a hat to avoid anyone recognising you in public)
‘look at him go.’ his teammates nudge each other at the sight of the lovesick-smile that he’s wearing
you run down to the dressing room, the security personnel recognising you easily and letting you in
he picks you up, spins you around and kisses you (just because he can and because he wants to show off his strength :))
‘god, I missed you so much,’
just imagine this man tucking his face in your neck and murmuring that softly <3 I would die for him and this is the proof
‘you’re so sweaty!’ you laugh but both of you know that you don’t really mind. it doesn’t matter because the love of your life, tooru, is right in front of you and everything else pales in comparison compared to him
tooru would pamper you so much when you get home, he would hold you in his lap and wait for you to fill him in on everything that happened
he’s touchy normally but after spending a week away from you, his touches linger for a moment longer and he’s more reluctant about letting you go if you want to get up to get something
please love him <3
↬ miya atsumu
he used to tease you so much when you complained about missing him when he had away games
but now that he was in your place? he was starting to understand where you were coming from
you had barely been gone for two days and he was missing your presence already... and he knew he couldn’t call you to hear your voice because you’d probably be getting ready for a performance or catching up on much-needed rest
he would never admit it but he turned on your laptop to listen to some of your recordings just so he could hear your voice
sprayed your perfume on the bedsheets just to make it smell it a little bit more like you
definitely watched a bunch of romance movies in hopes of feeling better but ended up feeling even more lonely instead :( poor bby
he literally screamed when he got a text from you
you know that super-high girly screech that some teenagers make? yeah he made that noise, nearly dropped his phone, then proceeded to squeal at your message
[ hey idiot, how was your day? ]
the nickname ‘idiot’ isn’t an insult anymore but instead an affectionate title, and he can basically hear your laugh and your voice next to him as he reads the words
[ hey to you too idiot, my day was ok. urs? :) ]
it doesn’t show in his texts but he has the biggest smile on his face and the only thing he can think about is you, your pretty eyes and your hair and your skin and basically just... you
when he finally hears your voice in person again, instead of out of your laptop or from one of your music videos, this man just... stops
completely freezes because he’s forgotten how beautiful you sound and look and the sight of you, pulling your mask down, standing outside the apartment door just hits him hard
‘i love you,’ he mumbled into your shoulder, pulling you into a hug
you pat him on the back a little awkwardly like... what happened in the week you were gone? who is this? that’s not your boyfriend it’s an imposter
does he wrap you in a bear hug and not let go for the next two hours? absolutely
‘tsumu... I need to use the toilet.’
‘no.’
you’re just??? wdym no??? sir I need to use the toilet

Anakin Solios "Your fool I will not be" Gender: Male (He/Him) Sexual Orientation: Straight. Nicknames: Fool, Mitty, and Sun Puppy (Parents). Species: Egyptian Jackal. Build: Slender, taller than average (5′11″) MBTI: INFP Occupation: Farmer and Artisan. Elemental alignments: Earth and Fire (Common combo) Song: I Am a Stone · Demon Hunter Background: Anakin was born in a Petra-like city to an archer/artisan Jackal called Ash Jard and a physician Okapi named Ruth Solios. It's there where he spent the first five years of his life chewing on his brother and parents' belongings, roughly playing with other kids, and causing adults to lose their minds with his non-stop questions and blurt outs in the worst moments possible. During those years, everything looked bright... Until the king's brother from a close city played with dark magic and fused himself with corrupted insect DNA in order to become powerful, a threat of calamity was approaching quickly and whole cities had to be evacuated ASAP or thousands could lose their lives at the hands of cursed insect-like minions. Fortunately, a group of brave warriors managed to seal him in a magical item before things got out of control. The Solios family was lucky enough to leave in a boat to the unknown and, after weeks of being on high seas and barely making it thanks to kind islanders' donations, they managed to reach a magical forest filled with prosperity. The language barriers and instant suspicions coming from the locals made it extremely difficult for them to thrive in this new land. Thankfully, a Coyote woman named Ophelia Ruiz knew their language, helped them to start learning the dominant one and got them a little place where they could stay, it was far away from the village, but it was a better option than living in caves. That's to say, there is something odd about her, but oh well. In one of those meetings, Anakin met Ophelia's daughter, Delilah, the little girl was a shy one and most of the time she was behind one of her parents' legs, but that didn't stop him from developing a crush. The two of them bonded over their weird traits that elders seemed to disapprove of and whenever Ophelia's tried to separate the friends with a sour expression on her face for some reason. That wasn't fair! The sun puppy missed his best friend... Anyways, I can't spoil much, but Anakin made an impulsive action that caused him to be banished from the village at the hands of the chief Zechariah Demirkan. During the arc, Anakin lives with all kinds of mythological creatures in the forest's undergrounds under the wing of a dragon called Zephyr Shailagh and his adopted son, Mallory Solios the Ramidreju. While things are peaceful for him down there, Anakin hopes that someday he will be able to execute a life-long plan which could cost his own life if he fails, but it has been 15 years already... Special Info: - Has ADHD, something that he seemed to inherit from his father and grandmother. Anakin goes from periods of hyper productivity to complete lethargy. More frequently than not, he has issues at getting started on a task (And even staying focused on it, worse if it has multiple layers), known as executive dysfunction. Fidgets a *lot* and isn't always able to sit still and correctly, often taps his claws on surfaces and chews on plant-based chewy products as a way to cope with his wandering mind and energy levels. Fortunately, he is getting better at managing it. ^If I write about it in a way that seems incorrect, let me know ASAP^ - It is common to see him singing, humming, making random noises, and talking to himself about daily activities, details that embarrass him deeply when somebody notices even if they say that he has a beautiful voice or don't mind it at all. The turquoise on his belt serves as a videogame-like inventory where he keeps items and his staff, which is a blessing because Anakin tends to forget where he puts his stuff outside of the gem and hut. Those forgetful traits frustrate him to no end, it's not a secret that he wishes it could vanish on its own. - Uses magical make-up to protect his light eyes from the damaging sunlight, the way it makes him look pretty is a bonus. Mallory doesn't escape from his lectures of "Wait! You forgot your make-up, son!" before an adventure. - In his spare time, he replies to his beloved moon lady with meaningful letters in hopes that, someday, they will be living together after a particular event separated him from her and his old village. This is the reason why he lives in a place full of mythological creatures in a magical and forest-like underground. Also, Anakin picked a thing or two about creating handmade products from his family, and makes good money from that ability. - Speaking of abilities, Anakin has been blessed by having an holified alignment on his pack of elements, the Earth one, which makes him able to create life in areas where it's deemed "highly unlikely" due to levels of corruption accumulated in the area, as long as those levels don't go up to 70% because it would take a lot of energy. - Anakin and his family belong to the Jewish equivalent in my world, whose teachings shaped parts of his kind and justice-seeking attitude. That one holy currently nameless-book indicates that the Earth goddess gave special people the blessing of maintaining and caring for the flora in special ways, which means that generating extreme amounts of wastes and destruction of nature is plain wrong. Pollution (Corruption with another name) is a clear insult to the forces of nature who keep the planet from falling apart and becoming a combo of lifeless wastelands. Trees are the backbone of the world and, in a mishap between the Earth goddess and other gods, Treants were given great wisdom and the purpose of spreading the same benefits that come from the trees as efficiently as they can move around... Despite their calm nature, never pass around them with fire or axes or you could meet your fate. Anakin feels at home with them and even befriended some, heh. - Solar vampirism means that all members fall in a huge spectrum of: Being able to resist intense heat better than others, longevity, take out the youth out of others like an actual vampire does or with specific stabbing weapons (Like Anakin's staff), possess divine powers related to the forces of nature, feed on sunlight like plants (But still need to eat real food from time to time and drink water), and more stuff that needs planning.

Joseph was the youngest son of Slade Wilson (Deathstroke the Terminator) and Adeline Kane Wilson, and had a happy early childhood. Joseph was a musical prodigy as well being a talented artist. When he was a child, he was held hostage by the terrorist called the Jackal, sent by the Qurac president in retaliation for Deathstroke killing an important colonel. Jackal attempted to obtain information from Slade Wilson, who was secretly leading a double life as a mercenary. After Deathstroke refused to cooperate with Jackal, citing a violation of his professional code of ethics, Wilson managed to rescue his son, but not before one of Jackal's men cut Joseph's throat. As a result, Joseph was rendered mute.
Following the incident, Joseph's mother Adeline divorced Slade (she had previously tried to kill him, but only succeeded in blinding him in one eye) and took Joseph and his older brother Grant with her. At some point, Joseph learned to communicate through sign language (identified in Action Comics #584 as American Sign Language). While still a child, Joseph discovered that he possessed the mutant metahuman power to take possession of any humanoid being by making eye contact with them, a result of biological experimentation done on his father years before. He first manifested his powers when he was saving a friend in danger, but Joseph was left traumatized by the event and his powers would lie dormant until his late teens. By then, Joseph worked with his mother in her espionage organization, Searchers Inc., and received training in combat and stealth. During a mission, Joseph's powers fully awakened again to save his mother from an assassin, and he embraced his abilities to further aid his mother in her work.
TitansEdit
Sometime later (in a storyline called "The Judas Contract"), Adeline and Joseph discovered that Deathstroke had accepted a contract on the Teen Titans. Adeline and Joseph approached Dick Grayson to help him rescue the Titans, with Joseph adopting the identity of Jericho. The rescue mission was a success, and Jericho subsequently joined the team, but the Titans were initially wary of him because of his relationship to Deathstroke and the betrayal of Terra.

The New Titans #83 (1992), the final appearance of Jericho with his original appearance. The character returned eleven years later with a new look.
Jericho proved to be a sensitive and pure-hearted individual and was a loyal Titan for many years. Shortly after he joined the Titans, another new member, Kole, joined and Jericho immediately developed a bond with her. Jericho also developed a close and affectionate relationship with Raven, having possessed her once and learned about her demonic heritage. Jericho was the first Titan to understand Raven, bonding over their pasts with their fathers and finding comfort with one another.[4]
CorruptionEdit
Unbeknownest to anyone, Jericho was possessed by the souls of Azarath, tainted by the essence of the demon Trigon, Raven's father. Unable to possess Raven herself, the souls entered Jericho, as his powers made it easier for the souls to enter him. They were weak at first, but gained strength over time and eventually merged with him after some time following Trigon's defeat.
Jericho laid dormant within his own mind while the souls of Azarath began searching for new bodies. The souls needed individual vessels to survive and sought to acquire superhuman ones. Slowly but surely, the souls began corrupting Jericho and seized control of his body after the villain known as Wildebeest waged a campaign of terror against the Titans, framing Starfire for murder and nearly killing Cyborg after brainwashing him into serving as a proxy for him in a series of robberies. The possessed Jericho discovered that the Wildebeest was actually multiple people; members of the former Titans villain group The H.I.V.E., rebranded following the organization's defeat at the hands of the Titans years earlier. Imprisoning the lead Wildebeest, Jericho became the group's new leader and used them to abduct current and former Titans to act as vessels. Jericho gained new powers: a powerful lion soul-self and a healing ability that repaired his throat and allowed him to speak again.
In the "Titans Hunt" storyline, Nightwing and Troia, accompanied by some new allies, found and confronted him. During the battle, the real Jericho resurfaced and begged his father to kill him. There was no help for him and, to spare his son any more suffering, Deathstroke killed him. A statue of Jericho was later erected in the Titans Tower memorial in San Francisco.
ReturnEdit
Several years later, it was revealed that Jericho's spirit had survived by jumping inside his father right before he was killed. He had lain dormant until hearing that his friend Donna Troy had been killed in battle. Taking control of his father's body, he sought out the latest group of Titans, hoping to convince them that children shouldn't be superheroes and wanting to spare them his fate. He also killed his father's closest friend, Wintergreen, and mounted the man's head on a wall.[5]
Further demonstrating his mental instability while in Deathstroke's body, he viciously attacked his former friends, and even shot Impulse in the knee.[6]
During the combat, he jumped from body to body until Raven absorbed him. During a battle with Brother Blood, she repelled him when she unintentionally absorbed her teammates Deathstroke and Rose Wilson into her soul-self. Jericho managed to use the bodies of Wonder Girl and Superboy against the team, but when he tried to enter Cyborg, Cyborg used his cybernetic eye to transfer Jericho's spirit to a computer file, now stored in Titans Tower. Beast Boy says that they check on Jericho every day.[7]
After the "One Year Later" jump following the events of Infinite Crisis, Raven took the disk with Jericho's essence and, using the same ritual the Church of Brother Blood previously employed to raise her from the dead, resurrected Jericho in a new body, missing the throat injuries from his childhood that left him mute. Jericho joined the latest incarnation of the team, taking the opportunity to bond with his half-sister Rose, who was the new Ravager.[8] After possessing the body of Superboy's dangerous clone Match, Jericho moved to S.T.A.R. Labs until a way was found to control Match.[9]
Later Jericho, still trapped in Match's body, seemingly escaped from S.T.A.R. Labs in visible distress and asking for his friends' help.[10] The Titans managed to help him escape Match's body, but it soon became apparent how much the experience had twisted Jericho's mind, leaving him bent on the Titans' destruction.[11]
Jericho briefly escaped the Titans to plague the presidential election of 2008 of the main DC Universe, even going so far as to use Green Lantern's body to fight the Justice League upon being discovered.[12] The will-based powers of Hal proved to be his undoing, as Hal was able to push Jericho out of his body. Jericho was brought to the JLA satellite for safe-keeping. Mento mind probed Jericho, discovering that he was suffering from a particular and severe form of dissociative identity disorder, caused by years of reckless body-hopping. Unable to purge his mind of the lingering echoes of the personality he had to submerge when taking possession of an individual, he had his mind overruled by the evilest and most strong-willed patterns, causing him to take on a criminal, ruthless personality opposed to his former gentle self. The JLA decided to send him back to S.T.A.R. Labs, hoping for a cure.[13]
Jericho managed to escape the JLA and returned to the Titans, now inhabiting Nightwing's body. The JLA arrived to reclaim him, and he started jumping into the bodies of whoever tried to capture him. This backfired when Jericho jumped into Superman's body. Although stronger than he once was, Jericho found himself unable to control Superman's alien body. Jericho briefly managed to gain control of himself over the evil impulses and seemingly vanished into nothingness.[14]
DeathtrapEdit
Jericho later returned, having entered Cyborg's body through his mechanical eye, using an "imprint" left over from the last time. He used Titans Tower's defenses to try to kill the Teen Titans, but their new member Static used his electrical powers to short out the Tower's systems, creating feedback that knocked Jericho out of Cyborg.[15] Jericho escaped once more and, spurred on by the multiple personalities inside him (particularly that of his father), sets into motion a "Deathtrap" scenario.[16] Jericho unsuccessfully attempted to murder both the Teen Titans and the Titans (his former teammates), who eventually apprehended him. While in police custody, he was confronted by the new Vigilante. Determined to end the villain's rampage permanently (but having promised Rose Wilson that he would not kill him), Vigilante gouged out both of his eyes, rendering him unable to use his possession abilities. The trauma of the incident caused Jericho to revert to his true personality, but he was left haunted by the various personalities in his mind.[17]
Blackest NightEdit
In a Teen Titans tie-in to the Blackest Night crossover, Jericho is seen in possession of Grant's body, now a member of the undead Black Lantern Corps, saving Rose from the attack of Adeline, Wintergreen, and Wade Defarge.[18] Jericho revealed to Rose that his eyes grew back after Vigilante's attack, and that he used his power to enter Grant's body when Grant attempted to kill him. Jericho then entered his mother's body, tricking the Black Lanterns into destroying each other. In the aftermath, Jericho reconciled with his father, reasoning that Deathstroke would be the only one who could kill him if he were ever to succumb to the murderous personalities inside his mind.[19]
Brightest DayEdit
Deathstroke hired Doctor Sivana and Doctor Impossible to create a diabolical invention with a healing factor called the "Methuselah Device" to save Jericho, who was dying from leprosy.[20] Once Jericho was placed in the machine, they restored Jericho's body. Deathstroke offers its abilities to all of the Titans, promising to restore their deceased loved ones as payment for their services. Some Titans accept, but other Titans refuse and the team fights. Deathstroke walks away with his son, but Jericho possesses him, disgusted at what his father did to achieve his restoration. He intends to destroy first the Methuselah Device, then himself and Deathstroke.[21] While the Titans fight over the machine, its power source, a metahuman named DJ Molecule, is released. DJ Molecule blasts Deathstroke, knocking Jericho out of his body and is then slashed by Cheshire. When Cinder sacrifices herself to destroy the machine, Jericho is carried out by Arsenal. Arsenal and Jericho then decide to form a new team of Titans to restore the legacy that Deathstroke damaged.[22]
The New 52Edit
In The New 52 (a 2011 reboot of the DC Comics universe), two versions of Jericho were presented. Unlike previous comics, Jericho is not mute and is fully capable of talking by using his voice.
The first version appeared as an antagonist in Rob Liefeld's Deathstroke vol. 2. He and his mother were believed to have died when North Koreans attacked their home. Slade Wilson (now calling himself Deathstroke) had made many enemies worldwide and had repeatedly placed his family in the crosshairs. Jericho at some point exposed himself to the Gen-factor, which gave him his powers. Now a man in his early 20s, Jericho has plans to destroy his father's life that he had built for himself with the help of his mother and brother. However, it was eventually revealed that Jericho had taken control of his own mother and brother and forced them to hate Deathstroke. Joseph was apparently killed along with his brother until a later scene of a worker with glowing green eyes hinted at Joseph possessing a man to save himself and escape.
The second version appears in Deathstroke vol. 3, which erases the previous volume from continuity, with Jericho once again being his heroic and peace-loving self. Due to his enormous powers, Jericho was captured by his own grandfather, Charles Wilson. Under the alias of Odysseus, he wanted to siphon Joe's metahuman power to become practically invincible and experimented on Jericho, awakening new psychic powers within him. Jericho was eventually saved by his father and sister Rose, but the ordeal left Jericho with problems controlling his new powers, and sought solitude while trying to run from Odysseus. Sometime later in Gotham, Jericho met with Rose, who tried to find someone to help Jericho learn to control his new powers, but the meeting went astray and Odysseus shows up to reclaim Jericho. Due to the arrival of Deathstroke, Jericho was able to escape his grandfather's clutches and once again seclude himself. Sometime later, it was revealed that Jericho went to Ra's al Ghul to seeks sanctuary, and had gained better control of his psychic powers. He and Ra's al Ghul reappeared before his father and sister again to save them from his father's enemies, who are also part of the Nova Council, an anti-metahuman organization that targets criminals and those who uses their powers for money. Weeks later, Jericho and his family made a preemptive strike against his father's enemies in which Rose fell under the mental control of Lawman and Jericho had to unleash a strong mental blast to sever the link, but injured Rose's mind in the process. When Ra's al Ghul offered to heal Rose with a special "elixir" in return for Deathstroke's fealty to the League of Assassins, Deathstroke accepted and Ra's al Ghul instructed Jericho to dive into his sister's subconsciousness to bring out of her comatose state. After they retreated, Jericho and Rose also revealed, much to their father's dislike, that they joined the League out of debt for Ra's al Ghul's assistance and to make sure Rose would have access to the "elixir", which Ra's al Ghul stated she would need to take daily if she wanted to live. In their next attack on Danger Island, Jericho used his powers to fight (non-violently) with his family, protecting with his family an energy shield and using his telepathy to halt the enemies' movements. When Deathstroke disobeyed Ra's al Ghul, who was attempting to get the Nova Council into the League by sparing their lives, al Ghul killed Deathstroke's ex-ally Victor Ruiz, causing the two men to begin fighting one another. Jericho intervenes and threatens Ra's al Ghul to stop or he'll kill everyone with a psychic blast. Having read Ra's al Ghul's mind, Jericho also reveals the "elixir" Rose took was just a stimulant, therefore Ra's al Ghul never saved Rose's life. They rescind their oath to the League of Assassins. Once Ra's al Ghul releases them and left, Jericho and Rose tenderly said goodbye to their father, who decided they should distance themselves from him for their safety, and departed from the island.[23]

This article's plot summary may be too long or excessively detailed.
Jericho later reappears after the DC Rebirth relaunch, once again mute and with his origin restored, though slightly modernized. This version of Jericho is also bisexual.[24]
Unlike his blissful childhood in the original comics, Jericho's family life was strained by the time he was a young teenager, as his father and mother were constantly fighting over his father's long absences due to his supposed government missions. After Jericho was kidnapped by Jackal and his throat was slit, an outraged Adeline shot Deathstroke (blinding him in one eye) for his lies, his infidelity that resulted in his illegitimate daughter, Rose, and for Jericho's fate.[25]
As a young adult, Jericho is working as an executive vice-president for a tech firm that his mother owns in Los Angeles, and is engaged to his interpreter, Etienne. Although mute and still using ASL, Jericho uses a special technology called a "subvocal mic", which lets a person's phone Bluetooth sync with the mic so he can vocalize his thoughts through the phone in a computerized voice. After Rose came to visit him, Jericho secretly met up with Dr. David Isherwood, his father's ex-tech, a superhero, and Jericho's former lover. Jericho tells Isherwood of his marriage, and he disapproves of Jericho's choice because of his sexuality. He does not believe his love for Etienne is genuine, and tells Jericho that he will prevent the marriage. Angered by Isherwood's interference, Jericho uses his powers to possess his body, turning off his super "Ikon suit" that allows him to fly, making them fall off a building.[26] Following Dr. Isherwood's seeming demise, Jericho takes over his duties as a superhero and uses the Ikon suit to aid him in his deeds.[27] While out on a mission to help Superman apprehend his father during a government mission, Rose finds out that Etienne is secretly a member of H.I.V.E., though it is unknown if she plans to inform Jericho of Etienne's deception.[28]
While continuing his new superhero duties (which Etienne knows about), Jericho starts taking pills due to experiencing migraines because of his guilt over Isherwood's fall. Later, Jericho meets his father's personal physician, Arthur Villain, who is looking for him, but Jericho explains that his father is "tied up" right now.[29][30] Wanting to know why he's having migraines, Jericho has Dr. Villain examine him, who also explains the finer details of how his powers work and those of his family members. Dr. Villain states Jericho is perfectly healthy and his problem is an emotional issue, but Jericho denies that something traumatic happened and leaves.[31] That morning, Jericho hallucinates about Isherwood, showing that his migraines have become worse over time, causing him to crash through the shower's glass door. While he hides the reason for his migraines from Etienne, he hastily sets an early wedding date, which she agrees to.[32]
Sometime later, Jericho gets a call from Deathstroke, who is in the middle of a fight with Raptor and Red Lion, to get in contact with Isherwood (who invented the Ikon suits) for his help in deactivating Raptor's Ikon suit. However, Jericho lies about knowing Isherwood's whereabouts, but Deathstroke orders his son to find Isherwood and to call Adeline, which he does. Still wrestling with his guilt, Jericho goes to a hospital to visit Isherwood, revealed to be alive after Jericho made them fall off the building; he is greatly injured and seems to be in a comatose state. Jericho apologizes to Isherwood for his current condition and tells him that he still cares about him. In a flashback to six years ago, it is shown that Isherwood was the one who designed Jericho's bulletproof costume when he was starting out as a young hero and the one who gave him the code name "Jericho".[33] While Jericho's guilt starts causing him to self-harm, he remains oblivious that Etienne is sleeping with his father, who figures out that her mission is to spy on him through his son. He tells Etienne to break up with Jericho. Despite her proclamation of love for his son and their clandestine affair, Deathstroke warns Etienne that he will kill her if she betrays Jericho.[34] After Rose has a bloody vision of Jericho, Rose calls her brother to check on him and learns of his early wedding date with Etienne, much to her disapproval. Rose shares her theory about Etienne working for Adeline to get to Slade, but Jericho states that whatever his parents are up to is between them. While visiting Isherwood, Jericho sees Isherwood's life monitor acting up and orders the nurse to get ready to transport Isherwood to New Jersey. Jericho takes Isherwood to Dr. Villain, who states that Isherwood is dead, but assures a devastated Jericho that are other "possibilities" to help him.[35] While Dr. Villain tries to bring Isherwood back to life, Jericho sits in the waiting room and is told by Dr. Villain that he should see a therapist or someone he trusts to talk to. Meanwhile, Etienne get a lecture from her employer about how she compromised her mission by getting so close to Jericho and then gets a call from Rose, who is traveling to see her brother to prevent the vision she saw.[36] While Jericho returns home, Isherwood comes back to life (using a synthesized virus made from Jericho and Deathstroke's DNA) and calls Jericho on his phone. However, Jericho left his phone in his office and Etienne picks it up, where she finds out about Jericho's past relationship with Isherwood. After Jericho sees his apartment in shambles and Etienne crying, Jericho tries to explain that he was with Isherwood for a few months. Etienne cuts him off and spitefully tells him that she has been seeing Deathstroke behind his back.[37]
It is shown that Etienne works for Amanda Waller and the national government, though she refuses to leave Jericho as she still plans to marry him. During another phone call, Deathstroke confronts Amanda and threatens to kill Etienne if Amanda doesn't stop using his son. She retaliates by threatening to send in her Suicide Squad. On the morning of the wedding, Jericho finds Etienne dead in their apartment and believes his father killed her. Enraged, Jericho goes to the church in his Ikon suit and tries to kill Deathstroke, shocking his family. Despite his father defending his innocence and explaining that Etienne was a spy, Jericho figures out that all of Etienne's activities were because the government wanted to keep an eye on Deathstroke. Although getting brutally beaten, Deathstroke refuses to fight back against his son, who only stops once he hurts Rose in the midst of his rage.[38] Following these events, Jericho is undergoing rehabilitation to deal with his trauma.[39][40] Later, Jericho is released from rehab and is visited by Wally West, who just had some of his stored super-speed stolen by Deathstroke (wanting to turn back time to revive his son Grant) and Wally asks Jericho to tell him about his father in order to stop him. Jericho agrees, telling him about his difficult childhood, and dons his Ikon suit to help stop Deathstroke. They plan to meet both the Teen Titans and Titans teams at Hatton Corners, the place where Grant died. Before setting out, Jericho takes the time to tell Wally that he doesn't blame the Titans for Grant's death, knowing it's not their fault, and how he struggles every day not to become like his father.[41] After Jericho introduces himself to the Titans, letting them know Deathstroke is his father, he and the two teams work together to open a time vortex to chase his father. Once they stop Deathstroke's super-speed temporarily, Jericho pleads with his father to stop disrupting the time continuum. This was ignored as Deathstroke enters the Speed Force again. Using Omen's and Raven's powers in conjunction with his own, they let most of the team enter Wally's mind so that they can bring him out of the Speed Force once he stops Deathstroke. Wally brought Deathstroke out, Jericho then listens to his father proclaim that he's done being an assassin after his experience in the Speed Force.[42]
Afterward, Jericho returns home and goes to a support group to deal with his pill addiction and the mistakes he made. After the meeting, Deathstroke comes to pick up Jericho and hop on a plane, telling him he has changed after failing to change the past. When Isherwood calls Deathstroke he speaks to Jericho, he tells Jericho he isn't mad at him, hearing his words during his coma, and gives his condolences over Etienne's death. Later, Jericho is taken to a base alongside Rose, his mother, Wintergreen, and Tanya Spears.[43] As the person in charge of the government "Project Defiance", Adeline initially wanted Jericho to lead her new task force, but Deathstroke talks his way into leading the team and handling the recruitment, including getting Kid Flash to join. Meanwhile, Jericho investigates who killed Etienne and confides in Rose that the only reason he agreed to join the team is to learn the truth of Etienne's death and to keep an eye on his father. Later, Jericho and the Defiance team go on their first mission.[44] During another mission to rescue hostages from a dictator in Chetland, Jericho and the team are forced to fight Doctor Light's Radiant Men drones without aid from Deathstroke, who is separated from them to have a private talk with Doctor Light. Despite having a hard time, Jericho takes charge of the team and directs them to successfully fight off the drones, but Deathstroke remotely turns off Jericho's subvocal transmitter and the team's comm channel to make their "training" harder. The Defiance team almost got overwhelmed, but a resurrected Terra arrives to help and save the hostages as Deathstroke regroups with them and orders everyone to head home.[45] Later, Jericho speaks to his mother about his frustrations towards her—how bitter she is because of her grudge against Deathstroke and her unjust hatred towards Rose—and questions her about Etienne's death. Although Adeline states she had no hand in Etienne's death, she brushes off Jericho's other statements, causing Jericho to plead with her to not let Deathstroke corrupt her anymore and become the mother he used to know.[46] During a group session with the team, Kid Flash's recorder reveals that Jericho is beginning to move on from Etienne and met a deaf man named Terrence.[47]
After Deathstroke is abducted by the Secret Society of Super Villains, Jericho finds a note left by The Riddler and shows it to the team.[48] After four days, Jericho and Rose try to rally the team to find him, but Adeline tells them that they have a new mission leading them to the place the Society took their father. After finding the damaged warehouse and hearing some of Terra's investigation, Jericho figures out that a now monstrous-looking Isherwood kidnapped Deathstroke and heads off to find them, against his mother's orders.[49] Upon arriving at the church in Canada, Jericho finds his father alone. Deathstroke lets Jericho know that he knows about his former relationship with Isherwood. While discussing whether Jericho believes Deathstroke is capable of changing, Jericho helps deactivate the neural transmitter in his father's spine, but the transmitter device was a dud and destroys Jericho's Ikon suit instead.[50] Having broken his ribs after falling down on the church's wooden benches, Jericho and Deathstroke return to the Defiance base to recuperate. However, the group begins to fall apart due to the other members learning more of Deathstroke's lies. After getting into a fight with Tanya, Jericho wants to leave the team as he wasn't making any progress with Etienne's death. Later, Jericho comes to back up Deathstroke and Terra on a mission, but the team fractures even more when Kid Flash blames Deathstroke for causing Tanya to seemingly commit suicide. Unknown to the grieving team, Tanya's incorporeal state is actually traveling through inter-dimensions to save Power Girl.[51] Jericho then returns to his normal life and continues his relationship with Terrence as he reflects over his recent tragedies.[52]
One night, Rose visits Jericho and confesses that she killed Etienne while being possessed by an entity called "Willow", much to his confusion. Their conversation is interrupted when they hear an explosion near Chinatown and find Deathstroke battling Isherwood, Kong Kenan, and a furious Terra. When Jericho tries to intervene in the fight, Isherwood takes the opportunity to knock out Deathstroke and send him to Arkham Asylum.[53] Later, Jericho gets wind of Deathstroke's breakout and his mother's machinations to pit Batman against him, and he scolds Adeline for her actions before she shuts him out.[54] Later, he goes to Wayne Mansion to fix Deathstroke's attempt to sabotage Batman's "benefactor" and free Wintergreen from FBI custody.[55] While running tests on his new upgrade on his Ikon suit with Hosun, Jericho and Hosun tries to figure how to deal with Rose's "Willow" problem,[56] which includes Jericho pretending to be Deathstroke in front of Rose (though she does know her brother is in the suit).[57] However, Jericho is ambushed by Two-Face when he and Rose visit Arkham Asylum and he is in a cell after Two-Face takes his suit.[58] However, Jericho manages to escape the asylum and free his father so they can go save Rose,[59] but his father is too focus on going after Hugo Strange and zaps Jericho unconscious, but later learns Rose is fine.[60] One day, Jericho gets a call from Damian Wayne, who is going after his father, and tries to dissuade him to avail.[61] After speaking to Terrence, Jericho decides to check on his father, who is escaping from his jail cell in Robin's secret prison, to make sure he doesn't hurt the young Titans.[62] After Emiko Queen apparently killed Deathstroke, an angry, grieving Jericho attempts to round up all the villains that attended his father's funeral. In his grief, Jericho confronts the Teen Titans over what they done and uses Kid Flash's body to go the funeral. Due to his strong emotions, Sinestro's ring reacts to Jericho and unleashes a strong energy that knocks out most of the attendees, except for the Legion of Doom members. Intrigued by Jericho's potential, the Legion of Doom offers Jericho a place with them before teleporting away.[63] One night, Jericho prepares for a date with Terrence, but Wintergreen contacts him to help Rose, who is trying to complete assassination contract Deathstroke left unattended due to his "death". Jericho gets into an argument with Terrence, who chastises him for always getting involved with his family members' drama and shows Jericho that he was planning to propose to him. Stunned, Jericho is reluctant to get engaged again and rushes off after Terrence made it clear he won't keep compromising for Jericho's fixation on his family. Jericho saves his sister, but the two soon got into a fight about the contract and Jericho reveals that Emiko is the one that "killed" their father. While trying to keep Rose from taking revenge on Emiko, Jericho becomes gravely injured and calls his mother for help, a hologram Lex Luthor appears to him and offer to help Jericho if he joins the Legion of Doom.[64]
While Jericho is bewildered by Luthor's presence and initially rejects his offer, Jericho ends up accepting a special piece of nanotech as a "gift", which not only healed his wounds, but amplify his abilities and granting him a new suit. However, Jericho's skin becomes blue due to the effect of the technology being embed into his body, though he is in awe of his new powers. Using his enhanced psionic ability, Jericho uses mind-control placing Emiko in hiding at some unknown location to keep her safe from Rose and then goes after his sister, breaking up her chase with Shado. When Rose refuses to listen to him, Jericho tries to hop into her body, but receives mental feedback that disorienting him, causing him to lose his mental control over Emiko and allowing Rose to evade him. Later, Jericho tries to stops Terrence from leaving him and ends using his telepathic power on him get him to stay.[65] Over the course of the next few days, Jericho begins to stop crime more activity using his new powers, but starts developing a Messiah Complex as a result. While Terrence warns Jericho is getting addicted to the nanotech, Jericho claims he will give it back once he helps Rose.[66] Sometime later, Jericho meets up with Luthor and tries to return the nanotech, but takes it back once he learns a Deathstroke doppelganger is hunting for the nanotech.[67]
While looking for Jericho, the doppelganger attacks Terrence, though Rose manages to save him, but Hosun is killed. When the Deathstroke doppelganger targets Adeline, Jericho saves his mother and tricks the doppelganger into shutting down his armor suit, leaving his father to deal with the counterpart.[68] While flying around, Jericho is confronted by Isherwood, who sacrifices his life to forcefully remove the nanotech out of Jericho. Afterwards, a normal Jericho goes to Rose and comfort each other over their recent tragedies. Later during Christmas Eve, Jericho spends the holiday with his family, though his father ends up sneaking out.

Naruto Shippuden, ep 484-488
This filler is about Sasuke... in theory. It doesn’t really show that much about him and I wouldn’t say he develops in any way. It’s fairly dull.
It’s also incredibly annoying. There are two issues, both with the filler characters. The first is their powers. Fuushin’s unspecified kekkei genkai seems to be related to wind, but he is also able to make exploding knives. That’s... whatever, fine. But the Chinoike are just ridiculous. They’re first introduced as having a doujutsu, the Ketsuryugan, which allows them to use strong genjutsu. The Uchiha were hired specifically to deal with that. But ACTUALLY their power is over blood, which is far more versatile and notable, and has jackall to do with their doujustu. It’s all insanely annoying.
The second issue is Chino’s massive hypocrisy. You can view it as more “this villain might have a point, so we better make them super evil to make sure the audience doesn’t think too hard.” Alternatively, she’s pretty obviously clinging to ridiculous justifications for herself.
In either case, Chino presents the idea that, to the person suffering, the perpetrators and those who stand aside doing nothing as both cruel. She calls them equally bad, but either way, the point is that if you see something wrong and don’t act, you’re also in the wrong. That’s pretty interesting! And very applicable for shinobi, who don’t do anything if there isn’t money or their own village involved.
But Chino herself then kills dozens of completely unrelated bystanders and wants to kill all of Konoha (???) for no particular reason except that I guess it would make her feel connected to her ancestors. She also doesn’t bother targeting Oyashiro (who is still free at the end), or Kiri who actually killed half her gang, or the nasty as hell daimyos, or anyone actually doing evil that she is perfectly aware of. She picks the most unnecessary and ridiculous target.
And of course, this entire message is totally ridiculous when Orochimaru is right there.
484:
Aun Gate is how the subs render the gate name.
Former Anbu Tadaichi, a regular at Ino’s shop.
Chouji can now grow wings on one bag of potato chips.
Chino and Nowaki claim to be former shinobi who are now performers. Old man Iou and his daughter Amino. Fuushin and the Lighting Gang (Raikou-dan), who acted as robin hood types.
Sasuke can use his Sharingan to look into people’s memories.
485:
Orochimaru is just traveling around, doing whatever. Yamato is tailing him but...
En Oyashiro, an arms trader. We find out later that he’s been buying child slaves with kekkei genkai and training them to be shinobi. For... probably two decades and counting.
An unmarked island for the rich, with a Coliseum where their pet shinobi fight. Makibi Corporation, Himeyuri Company, Kusabi Real Estate Group, if you need some buddies for Gatou. (Although Gatou was apparently a small-fry, messing around with hired samurai thugs and missing nin. Raising your own child soldiers is where it’s at.)
486:
Sasuke already has eyebags around age 19 or so.
Fuushin was born in Mizu, but the villagers (including his own parents??) sold him for having a kekkei genkai. They blamed him for causing a typhoon.
Chinoike clan, with the Ketsuryugan. Their actual power is over blood. Previously from Lightning, they had a daughter marry the daimyo. When he died, another concubine framed her, so the entire clan was exiled to Hell Valley in Hot Spring. The Uchiha were hired to do so due to their Sharingan. This was before Konoha’s founding.
Orochimaru makes smart remarks about the oppressed Uchiha clan once oppressing others, but that’s... quite different.....
Sasuke wonders if Itachi knew. Probably not! Have you seen Konoha keep proper records of anything? Also, Itachi wiped out a clan of innocent people, he can deal with it.
To return to his real form, Fuushin slashes his wrists and momentarily swells up like the exploding people. I guess Chino injected some of her blood into him to transform him?
487:
Fighting the Ketsuryugan makes Sasuke’s Sharingan bleed. He also needs to use Mangekyou. So blood powers and also OP genjutsu, makes lots of sense...
Chino says the clan decided to stay in Hell Valley since they were tired of fighting. This sounds weird on multiple levels, but ok
Chino’s Ketsuryugan also bleeds when used.
The old man at the start actually asked for their help, so him turning on the Lightning Gang is especially nasty.
The gang were hired by Kiri to attack the Mizu daimyou (during Yagura’s era), but Kiri were actually setting them up. They could get rid of a free faction while also cozying up with the daimyo.
Their cloaks had lightning bolts on them, how cute.
488:
Chino, Fuushin and their buddy are taken to a Konoha prison. Unlike Orochimaru!
The Mizukage wants to take charge of them. Mei wants to work with them, given Kiri’s past betrayal.
Kakashi tells them they must atone for the rest of their lives. Unlike Orochimaru!!
Sasuke does go back to the Coliseum to free all the shinobi there according their rules. I’m not sure why he does this, since the entire gambling ring is broken up by A because the island is close to Kumo. He says that this is thus Kumo’s problem to deal with... but WHY. Shinobi are not law enforcers? Where and how does he have authority to take all these rich assholes into custody? Or shut down their business? It’s not even explained which part is illegal.
Final twist: Oyashiro is from the Chinoike. After his wife died, he killed his entire clan. Chino is his daughter, so her issues are especially something in retrospect. Orochimaru has the guts to call him a “doting parent” despite him messing her up so much that she ripped a kid’s ear off with her teeth in training. He, an arms dealer and a slave trader, is free to do whatever he wants at the end :)
SS continues to be... bad.

Four Times Artemis Tried to Convince Holly to go to Mars with him and the One Time he Didn’t
The First Time | The Second Time | The Third Time | The Fourth Time
The Time He Didn’t
Holly arrived at the private airstrip in Italy two weeks later. She’d had to call in two and a half favors to get authorization to go topside without divulging why, but the mountain views alone made it worth the hassle.
The mountain-hedged valley belonged to Giovanni Zito, who’d become a close confidante of the younger Artemis. He was one of the few Artemis had told about the self-winding rocket project, though Holly suspected this was so he could have access to the valley. In an odd turn of events, the launch pad was built not on the landing strip, but in a copse of hot springs in a craggy outcropping to the west.
Fifty meters away and twenty meters up on the strange launch pad, Artemis’s ship gleamed in the noonday sun. As she approached, the polished titanium alloys gleamed in a way Holly could only describe as optimistic. The name of the ship was embossed on the cone in sans-serif script: Ingniculus ex Decorum. She smirked to stem the tears pricking her eyes. Artemis was being sentimental. She never thought she’d see the day.
A couple humans she didn’t recognize circled the spacecraft, squinting through the glare and marking on clipboards. She hovered above the craft, still shielded, until they cleared the hatch, then flew through.
She heard Artemis before she saw him.
“I appreciate your concern signor,” she heard Artemis say from the bridge, “but I’m confident in my calculations.”
“As am I, il mio giovane amico.” Zito’s accent was accentuated by the speaker phone. “But you’re not running a test, you’re risking your life. I’d like it to be as slight a risk as possible. And don’t worry, the engineers have signed multiple NDAs. If any scrap of their future research resembles your magnum opus in any way, they’ll be paying for it from jail cells for the rest of their lives.”
Holly dropped to the ground and took off her helmet as she walked down the narrow galley path. She looked up and around the cylindrical compartment: this would be Artemis’s home for the next five years. It could have been her home, too. She snorted softly and shook her head.
“I appreciate your loyalty, Giovanni,” Artemis chuckled. “Though if this technology succeeds, I plan to make the blueprints open source. I suppose as long as they’re here, I can consider their opinions.”
“For once, I hope I am wrong and there is no need for concern.”
Holly knocked on the ovular doorframe.
“Ah,” Artemis said from the captain’s chair, his back to her. “I have a guest. I’ll see you in five years, my friend.”
“Call before then, you son of a jackal!”
Now he laughed. “Of course, ciao.”
As soon as the call ended, the doors behind Holly slid shut. Artemis turned the captain’s chair to face her. His blue eyes sparked with a rare energy, a kiddish glee he never showed in his actual boyhood. Her eyes widened when she noticed his space suit. It looked almost exactly like a padded, fire retardant LEP containment suit, except light blue and grey instead of green and brown. For some reason, the connection made her chest clench.
“Commodore! Thank you for coming.” He pivoted the co-pilot’s seat toward her. “It means a lot. Please,” he motioned to the chair.
Holly flitted over, not trusting her legs not to shake. “To be honest, I almost didn’t,” she said. “You were so hellbent on my coming along, I thought you might commit an encore kidnapping.”
To his credit, Artemis recognized the joke. “As tempting as that is, I couldn’t handle twelve hours of angry fairy, not to mention sixty months.”
“Damn right.” She hoped he didn’t hear her throat constrict on the last word. To be honest, she did have doubts about staying behind. She’d actually packed a bag before coming to the surface, just in case she decided to go after all. In the end, she’d forced herself to leave it behind.
“Who else is in the farewell party?” she asked before she fell too far down the rabbit hole of doubt.
“Besides Zito’s surprise inspectors? No one. Butler is talking with Juliet at the moment, but I wasn’t allowed in on the call as it might blow her cover somehow.”
“What is she doing?”
“Not a clue.”
A pause.
“So— no family, then?” she asked.
He shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck. “No, there never would have been. Mother will be livid, of course— this will be the third time I’ve left without warning, and will be my longest departure to date. I left them all digital messages, though, and a way to call me in space, solar flares willing. Speaking of—“ he leaned behind him and plucked what looked like a high tech monocle from the dash. It was, in all actuality, a tiny screen held in front of the eye by a wire attached to an ear piece.
“It can also interface with other mobile devices,” he explained, “but only the monocle’s receptors can pick up on this ship’s signal.”
She accepted it, cradling the hardware in her lap. It would fit her perfectly, she could tell. He made this specifically for her, which he wouldn’t have done if he’d believed she was coming with him. Even though she’d rejected his offer, he still wanted to share this adventure with her. Why did her decision, which was so obvious in the beginning, feel like a betrayal now?
“I’m sorry.” The words cut through Holly’s fog of thought. She looked up at him, confused.
“I’m sorry,” he repeated, “for making this separation harder on you than it should be. I never should have been so insistent. I was so consumed with how much I needed you— still need you. You’ve always been the best of me.” He laid his head back against the head rest, staring up at the ceiling. “But I made your decision all about me, and I’m sorry.” He leaned forward, resting his forearms on his thighs. “Haven needs you. And though they don’t know it, humanity needs fairies like you, too. To put myself over the needs of the many shows I haven’t grown as much as I thought.”
She pursed her lips. Though he was haughty and smug, Artemis was one of the most humble humans she’d ever met. He was always the first to admit his shortcomings, and he constantly worked to change them. Sure he was a pain, but he was also her best friend, and rightfully so.
“I wanted to go,” she admitted. When he squinted at her, she clarified. “With you, to Mars. Going to another planet isn’t something I’d thought about before, but if you were going to space it seemed natural I’d be going, too. We’re part of each other, Artemis,” she gestured between them. “Two sides of the same coin. Even though you don’t have my eye anymore, that hasn’t changed. And that’s part of the reason I can’t go. The two of us, sharing close quarters for so long? We’d either kill each other, or—” she took a deep, steadying breath. “I told you once I couldn’t do without you.”
Mention of that strange chapter of their friendship made Artemis go very still, and she wondered off-handedly if he was holding his breath.
“And I haven’t had to do without you, for years. We haven’t been apart longer than a month since…” she bit her lip. Thinking about the six months he had been dead still hurt. “But though we’re stronger together, we don’t need each other. You’ve always had that spark of decency, even before I came along.”
He grinned. “So you approve of the ship’s name?”
She shrugged. “It seems a bit self aggrandizing.”
“That wasn’t my intention, it was supposed to be a dedication to—“
She looked at him out of the corner of her eye, her coy smile cutting him off.
“You’re joking,” he realized, his frustration deflating.
“Yes, and I love the name.”
His gaze dropped to the communicator in her hands. “Now I hope more than ever those are functional.”
“What’s this?” She tilted her head. “Artemis Fowl isn’t sure of his programming abilities?”
He rewarded her with a classic vampiric grin. “It won’t happen again.”
Setting the monocle on the armrest of the co-pilot’s chair, she flew over and pulled him into a hug.
His grin shrank to a warm, genuine, one as he carefully returned the embrace. Not that he was afraid of hurting her, but as a full-fledged human adult, hugging tiny fairies presented a unique challenge. “I’m going to miss you, Holly,” he said, hooking his chin over her shoulder.
Hot tears stung her eyes when he used her name, and she curled her arms tighter around his neck, threading her fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck. “I’ll miss you too, Mud Boy.”
A few minutes later, the baffled engineers informed Artemis the ship was sound and ready to fly, to the best of their knowledge. Artemis had smirked at the phrase. He and Butler shook the strangers’ hands before boarding the ship for the final time (for two and a half years). As the two entered, a shielded Holly disembarked, grazing her friends’ elbows as she passed them. They all smiled knowing smiles as the hatch hissed shut.
Holly hovered a few feet away from the two engineers, all necks craned back to watch the launch.
Artemis had designed the tall launching platform to artificially compress a geyser beneath the ship to a meticulously timed breaking point. When the countdown on the inside of her visor reached zero, a column of water erupted from the pad, catapulting the ship into the air much like the hot air pushed a shuttle pod up a chute. One of the engineers yelped, realizing until very recently he’d been standing on all that pressurized power.
Holly waited with bated breath as the water flew hundreds of meters up before being reclaimed by gravity, waiting to see if the ship would succumb to the same fate. The craft, now but a speck in the cerulean sky, wavered for a few tense moments as gravity fought for dominance. Finally, the engine took over and the ship darted at a shocking speed up into the atmosphere.
When Artemis finally called her she was still at the launch site, lounging in a hot spring with her suit thrown over a tree branch overhead.
“I’m not even gone two hours and you’re already on vacation, commodore?” he asked. Though she’d been careful not to engage the “visual” half of the audio-visual headset, he could still hear and thus deduce where she was.
“Not even gone two hours and you’re already checking in, mud boy?” she teased.
“To be honest, I thought you would have called me an hour ago,” he said. “It was a highly unorthodox launch, Holly. The first of its kind. I thought you would, at the very least, be anxious to know we escaped Earth’s orbit unharmed.” She didn’t have to see him to know he was pouting. And he didn’t have to know she’d been monitoring every news site on or under the earth for reports of mysterious explosions in the upper atmosphere. True, she could have gotten the news straight from the horse, but she was curious how long it would take him to call her.
She shook her head with a smile. She had spoken too soon when she said she would miss him, and presumed too much when she thought even parsecs could keep Artemis Fowl and Holly Short apart.
After their chat, she received an image file. The first was a photo of Artemis and Butler in zero gravity, which she promptly saved to her home server. The second was a picture of a second self-winding spacecraft, this one named The Commodore. It came with a note. Under an address in Switzerland, Artemis had written, “In case you change your mind.”
Holly grinned.

30 Questions: GW2 Edition
This can be done in many different ways: get asks by your followers, pick some questions for yourself, answer the whole damn thing at once, etc!
You can draw, write (to explain in details or not) or just post screenshots! If you miss one it’s totally okay, whether it’s by lack of answer or time. Have fun!
Wasn’t tagged, but it looked super fun so I’m gonna do it. :3
1: Favorite living world season? Living World Season 4 was amazing. It awakened (hah...) my love of Palawa Joko and all things Elonian, and also dove into some really amazing, top notch story content. Boy howdy. Season 4 had me REELING on multiple occasions (hello ending of episode 3 and 5. JEEZ.).
2: Favorite expansion? Path of Fire. Just... Just beautiful. I still park myself in Vabbi just to enjoy the scenery and culture of the place.
3: Favorite soundtrack? Path of Fire’s Soundtrack is so good. I’m a fan of non-Western music, so it’s got some different sounds that I enjoy.
4: First profession you played? Engineer. It was new compared to GW1, plus it gave me some SERIOUS steampunk vibes.
5: First race you played? Human. I still got my girl Torris Brookes. <3
6: Favorite Destiny’s Edge character? Zojja (RIP). She’s so bitter and petty, so she creates some good (even if sometimes unnecessary) conflict.
7: Favorite Dragon’s Watch character? Taimi. I really do enjoy her dialogue, and I’ve been missing her as of late.
8: Favorite Elder Dragon? Kralkatorrik actually brought me to tears when I saw him the first time. Magnificent.
9: Best boss fight (story)? Palawa Joko. :3c
10: Best boss fight (fractal)? Oh, that’s tough. Hm... I do like Arrk’s final Shattered Observatory fight quite a lot.
11: Best boss fight (raid)? Really, I enjoy all of wing 1. Sabetha is a BITCH, though. 12: PvE or PvP or RP? PvE. I have PVP achievements on my nearly completed panel and I hate it. They’re the only reason I venture into PVP at all.
13: Favorite canon couple? Jory and Kas. I wish nothing but the best for them.
14: Favorite fanon/self made couple? I don’t really have one, tbh... Uh, anyone’s characters x canon characters? My OC Rin hangs out with her djinn buddy Nefes a lot, but that’s not really a couple... *squints*
15: Favorite quote? “Gross” - Bonnie Kunderah, Apprentice to Snargle Goldclaw. And also “WHAT??” *incoherent crashing and banging and scrambling* “Did you say chak?!” - Gorrik
16: Most emotional cinematic? Yeah, gotta go with Trahearne. We had to put my cat down 3 days before I played that instance due to a terminal illness, so that hurt extra hard.
17: Favorite VA? OH, I CAN’T CHOOSE, they all do so well!
18: Post a fun screenshot!
Was grabbing me a good hand reference for R E A S O N S.
19: Post a landscape screenshot!
Was taking more refs for R E A S O N S.
21: Favorite mount skin (for every mount you have)?
Raptor: Canyon Spiketail (This I use for my sylvari, Deorsa)
Springer: Kourna Jackrabbit (Long boi for my long gurl, Rin)
Skimmer: Spined Longtail
Jackal: Fulgurite Ridgeback
Griffon: Northern Feather Wing
Beetle: Synergetics Gyrocycle (sorry Petey, I still love you)
Warclaw: I only have the default skin for this, but Vigilant Saberclaw is cool.
Skyscale: Shimmerwing is cool, but LISTEN. Bearded dragon is just so cute.
22: Favorite weapon? There’s so many cool ones.I really love shields (Chrono main forever ago). I prefer more realistic, less flashy weapons. For RP purposes.~
23: Favorite gear set? Marauder shoulders and pants with bucaneer coat and privateer boots. I would wear this in real life if i could, I think it’s beautiful.
24: Favorite title? The Eternal (that BITCH, Sabetha).
25: Something you worked really hard to get? H.O.P.E. My first ever legendary. When I learned that I didn’t just *get* it after completing T4, it almost drove me to taking a break from the game. I might’ve cried. I became so poor after finishing T4, I didn’t have enough money to waypoint.
26: Favorite GW2 Youtuber / GW2 related video? I love me some Wooden Potatoes and KROOF Gaming.
27: Most used miniature? Palawa Joko. :3c He follows my girl, Rin Smallwood, around.
28: Most used novelty? My skyscale lounging chair, or the Desert King chair. Usually both accidentally.
29: Number of achievements points? Currently? 20,983. Gonna get 22/22 of No Quarter tomorrow.
30: Something you’d love to see in GW2? Call me terrible, but more Joko content on Halloween. Still think it was a missed opportunity to have Aurene barfed up his head. We could have gotten a new legendary focus that wouldn’t shut up.
@mindlessabnormity @diesvitae @brahameirsson @pr-gw2 and anyone else who happens to see this and wants to do it. :) If you haven’t done it already.

Helo Adama → Dylan O'Brien → Rat Animal Shifter
→ Basic Information
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Born or Made: Born
Birthday: August 1st
Zodiac Sign: Leo
Religion: Deism
→ His Personality Helo personality is most accurately described as intelligent, hyperactive, and curious. He is a notorious bookworm who excels at piecing together clues and figuring out mysteries. Helo enjoys puzzles and acts as the main IT guy for the pack in order to gain information and evidence regarding the threats that they face. For this reason, his intelligence is his greatest strength within the pack and has either given them an advantage or has outright saved them in multiple situations. He is slow to trust people, but once he warms up to them and the person gains his trust, he becomes very close to them and will do whatever he has to do in order to protect them and ensure their safety. Because of his hyperactiveness, Helo can often become so overwhelmed by trauma that he both physically and verbally lashes out at those around him. Despite his increasingly violent reactions to bad news, he is a very loyal person who would do anything to protect his loved ones, even if it means giving up his life to do so.
→ His Personal Facts
Occupation: Full Time Head of CTRL
Scars: None
Tattoos: Matching Tetris Pieces with Hanna
Two Likes: Technology and Amazon
Two Dislikes: Best Buy and LEGO
Two Fears: Blackouts and Losing Hard Drive Data
Two Hobbies: Videos Games and Role-Playing
Three Positive Traits: Outspoken, Sarcastic, Clever
Three Negative Traits: Long-Winded, Awkward, Arrogant
→ His Connections
Parent Names:
Graeme Adama (Father): Graeme is Helo’s number one fan and motivator. Graeme has always had an active role in Helo’s life, whether it was reading him Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings before bed as a child or helping him build foundations for CTRL as an adult. Graeme has taken time off from RED and joined Helo on CTRL after the Underground attack. Nick has been pushing for Graeme's return and Helo has been pushing to find a way to help RED win some leeway Underground. He wants his father to return with some type of advantage.
My Bellarose Adama (Mother): My Bellarose seems like a character from a book that Helo’s has not read yet. Everything about his mother is perfect enough to be unreal or made up by an exquisite writer. She can do no wrong in his eyes. She is currently teamed with BOND and SKIN. Helo has no idea how she jungles Graeme, work and their family but somehow it all gets done and more. Helo is happy she has taken a liking to Hanna, just like the rest of their family.
Sibling Names:
Radak Adama (Brother): Radak is Helo’s older brother. They are complete opposites of each other but surprisingly get already well. Radak has never been into technology or science fiction/fantasy. Radak joined BOND in order to travel and get away from Chicago, he always wanted to see the world and learn about different cultures and languages. When Radak is home he usually works on SKIN.
Vala Azalea Adama (Sister): Vala is Helo’s older sister. She is one of the RED survivors and has recently celebrated her 30th birthday. She had a mental breakdown recently, feeling unaccomplished and with a shit ton of survivor's guilt. Helo feels absolutely helpless. He has taken to constantly checking on her and is trying to include her in wedding plans to brighten her up. Helo is considering hooking her up with Louis or Achilles to get her spirits up.
Tahmoh Adama (Brother): Tahmoh is Helo’s little brother. Tahmoh is a 23 year old nerd that has recently joined the ranks of GOLD. Helo is proud of him, knowing he worked hard for the position while attending community college full-time. While Helo had gotten his degree online, Tahmoh rebelled and went to one of the local colleges. Helo was surprised that Nick allowed Tahmoh to attend college. However, it was not until after Tahmoh graduation that Tahmoh was able to tell their family that he was only allowed to attend if he kept an eye out for the Jackals and other shifters who attended college there too.
Children Names:
None
Romantic Connections:
Hanna Moore (Mate and Fiancee): Hanna and Helo have been dating for 5 years. They met on an online dating app. The first time they met in public, Helo brought Louis with him, thinking it was a scam. Helo and Hanna clicked in person just like they did over the phone; adding Louis as their third party too. 6 months into their relationship, Helo asked Hanna to move and join his pack. A long distance relationship wasn’t hard, but Helo wanted her close and running CTRL, which was still new at the time, was becoming too much to leave for a weekend getaway. Helo does not reject the decision at all and does not think that they are moving too fast. He knows whether he is living until 90 or 400 years old, he wants to share his life with Hanna. Which is why he proposed and they are planning to start a life despite people thinking they will not last or will regret it. In the history of Adama’s there has never been a divorce and there are currently 30 living generations. While Helo does not want to add kids to their equation yet, he does see them there in the far future.
Platonic Connections:
Louis Martin-Rovet (Best Friend): Helo cannot remember when Louis and he became best friends or when they actually met. Every time a question about how they met comes up they both spin an outrageous elaborate story, coming up with it and crazy details as they go along. Despite their obvious age difference, Louis being older than Helo’s parents and maternal grandparents, the two of them might as well be brothers.
Theo ‘Hibachi’ Easton (Friend): Helo and Hibachi could easily be described as being your typical nerd buddies. Helo was there to help Theo when he needed his Tumblr page set up, and Theo was one of the very small numbers that knew about Helo dating Hannah first. Their friendship is an easy one, where both are simply comfortable being themselves around the other.
Achilles Idris (Friend): Helo really likes Achilles and enjoys having him around. It is hard to believe that Achilles is Jax's older brother. However, this adds to Helo theory that Nick and Jo raising Jax had a large effect on the person he grew up to be. Achilles is currently a part of GOLD and BOND, thus Helo has been seeing a lot of him. It is nice having someone else closer to his age in his inner circle too.
Ray Hamelin (Associate): When Helo first developed CTRL, he had to implement it into NERVOUS and BOND before CTRL could become official. Helo and Ray formed a professional relationship during that time. Helo has nothing but respect for Ray and the job he does for their pack as a whole.
Jim Montgomery (Unsure): Jim has been coming around more and more often. Helo is unsure as to why but also does not want to find out why either. Helo has been running micro surveillance cameras in and out of the police department for SKIN and is currently working on a credit card system for them. Helo is hoping to match their spending habits to different names the human shifters may have, which could possibly bring a large amount of unknown shifted forms to light.
Ryan Cleirigh (Possible Contact/New Friend): Ryan has an amazing podcast that Helo listens to on his down time or whenever he needs something playing softly in the background and music isn’t cutting it. Helo has joined Ryan a few times for shows as a guest and accompanies Ray whenever he goes too.
Hostile Connections:
Jaxson Idris (Annoyance): Helo and Jax never got along and always clashed with one another. Helo does not know what it is about Jax but the air around Jax always ruffles his feathers and sends him up a wall. Helo has tried in the past to bury the hatchet but it has always come to bite him in the ass. Jax will never receive mercy from Helo or his personal CTRL care; which Helo usually gives to his team members.
Pets:
None
→ History Helo was raised by loving parents and has always had a close relationship with the entire family; including siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Helo grew up around the supernatural but did not grow up as a typical rat. Helo’s family, the Adama's, have always refused to sleep with tens of thousands of other rats. They enjoy the finer things and as a result, Helo grew up within a separate house which is unlike many of the local rats. While he did not follow in his families by joining GOLD, SKIN or RED, Helo did start his own team called CTRL when he was old enough. That won the approval of both his family and extended family. CTRL is in control of surveillance, tech support, data processing, basic hacking and virtual mapping. They are also in charge of accounting for SUGAR, research and development for BOND, and simple tracking for other teams. → The Present Helo’s love for technology is how he stumbled on an online dating app for supernaturals and how he met Hanna. Hanna was in Fort Wayne, Indiana when they were matched, but the two commuted alternating weekends to make it work. Hanna eventually moved up to Chicago to be with Helo and join his pack. Hanna moved to Chicago only 6 months after meeting face to face for the first time. They celebrated their 5 years anniversary where Helo had proposed to Hanna. They are slowly planning their wedding much to everyone's cringe. A lot of people disapprove but Helo has always known what he wanted, and it has yet to come to bite him in the ass. Helo’s immediate family and his best friend, Louis seem to be the only ones that are in support of how quickly their relationship is moving.
Helo’s to-do-list has been overflowing for CTRL. He is slowly but surely knocking them all out by working overtime and pulling all nighters. Helo is working on big projects for BOND, GOLD, SKIN, RED and CAMO that has taken priority over other projects that he has been handing off to his team members. CTRL is currently without a second which Helo isn’t actively looking for but is willing to consider after missing an important wedding venue appointment.
