In this event, you will get a bingo card of tropes and AUs, then create something that relates to a prompt on your card.

How will this work? Once sign-ups open, I will post a link to a Google form with some questions. You’ll pick the card size you want (3x3 or 5x5) and how you’d like to receive your card. Once sign-ups are closed, you’ll receive a bingo card with your prompts. Once you get your card, you have until September 30 to create something and fill your card up.

About the Teigh

What should I say about myself past my tagline? "50 year old beach heathen. Lokean. Tea/coffee-drinker. Writer/photographer/hobby chef. Tarot/runes/dreams/psychometry. Genderfluid. Bisexual. Multi-fandom nerd. Why am I the only one who has that dream? They/Them," only gives so much, after all, and I mean, one of those things is a line from a movie probably a lot of you haven't seen because you're too young, and it doesn't have Taylor Swift in it.

If you've looked at my Tumblr, you know I'm a HUGE Marvel/MCU nerd. There are characters I hate (I have tags especially for you folks who love those characters so that you can filter out my rare venting about those characters posts), there are characters I like, there are characters I love, and then there are characters that I'd potentially open up a metaphorical vein for them. We all have those. We're nerds. We're on Tumblr, ffs.

I love tea. Yes I love coffee, too, but because of an rp character my name and personality has sort of become enmeshed with even just the notion of tea and all manner of tea paraphernalia. Teapots, tea cups, tea service, tea sets, tea, tea, tea, tea... *cue Monty Python singing the Spam song but it's tea*

I love photography. I'm a hobby photographer, and once I'm the hell out of Texas, I'll feel inspired to jump back into my photo game again.

I love cooking. What started out of spite because of my ex and a mutual friend telling me I'd starve to death without the ex to cook for me has turned into a creative outlet and passion. I know I cook more than my ex ever did, and with the exception of my picky, pissy SIL, most people love my cooking. So yay me.

I love animals, the beach (obviously - it's the place I most want to be), flowers, lots of different fandoms aside from Marvel (Hannibal, The Following, horror movies, Stephen King, period movies, literature, Shakespeare, Stranger Things, Peaky Blinders, Boardwalk Empire, ALL of the things that Mike Flanagan directs, BBC Sherlock, RDJ's Sherlock movies - the list is really kind of long, so I won't try to put everything down). I love pretty much all types of music (save Christian rock and quite a lot of pop singers, esp one particular one whose name I've had to filter out because so many of y'all love her).

I write fanfiction. I'm not a popular writer, but I'm damned good at what I do. For those who don't know, I'm Wolfsheart on AO3. I'm a huge sucker for kudos and comments. LOVE the comments, especially the positive ones. Hateful ones, not so much. I delete, block, and report people who send hateful shit. If you leave hateful shit without signing in, I'll report you as spam since AO3 hasn't provided a way to block and report 'guests'.

A Promise Made to Be Broken by PlantsAreNeat (E, 37,018 w., 7 Ch. || Fake Relationship, Pining, Slow Burn, RST, Eventual Relationship, Primarily POV Sherlock) – A young John makes an ‘if we’re still single at 40, we’ll get together’ pledge to a woman who ends up all wrong for him. She keeps reminding him of the promise, and won’t let go of it. John asks Sherlock to pose as his boyfriend at a family wedding, so as to dash her hopes permanently. Sherlock, who has at last acknowledged his feelings for John, reluctantly agrees despite knowing how painful it will be to ‘have’ John, but not keep him.

A FIC THAT LED ME TO MAKING FRIENDS WITH THE AUTHOR: (I’m gonna cheat with this one, because I’m sure none of the authors I love to bits and try to befriend consider me a friend, just a nuisance lol... Instead I picked the fic that an author wrote inspired by something I drew, which rarely happens)

A FIC I FOUND AT THE RIGHT TIME: This one was gifted to me when I was really in a bad headspace, and it made me feel much better when I read it.

The Imminent Danger of a Tumblr-Night by Loveismyrevolution (T, 2,135 w., 1 Ch. || Tumblr Fics, Friends to Lovers, Sherlock is Out of His Depth, Humour, Fluff, Pining Sherlock, Military Kink, POV Sherlock) – Sherlock gets into trouble when he pretends to know all about John's favourite social media site - tumblr. To save face he seeks help from one of the bloggers and gains more answers than he had aimed for.

A FIC THAT EMBODIES SOMETHING I VALUE IN LIFE: (unconditional love and realistic portrayal of mental health awareness and disabilities. I value empathy a lot, so it spoke to me)

Iris by slashscribe (E, 11,948 w., 1 Ch. || Parentlock, Pining Sherlock, Post-S3) – Sherlock does his best to make John happy when John comes back to 221B with his new baby after the events of Season 3, but Sherlock has a track record of getting things wrong in this area. This story is an exploration of their gradual shift from friends to lovers, told from Sherlock's perspective, full of a lot of pining and lack of emotional awareness.

A FIC I ASSOCIATE WITH A SONG:

Sunday Evening 6 p.m. by Silvergirl (E, 30,712 w., 6 Ch. || Post-TRF / TEH Divergence, Grief / Mourning / Stages of Grief, Mutual Pining, Dreams, Reunion, Love Confessions, First Kiss / Time, Alternating First Person POV, Smart John, BAMF Boys, Emotional Love Making, Song Fic, Referenced Suicide, First Kiss / Time, Touching, Sleepy Sherlock, Blow Job, Villain Mary) – Six months after Sherlock jumped, he learns that John is dedicating songs to him on a requests-only radio programme. A FIC I WOULD READ FIC OF:

Uphill by scullyseviltwin (E, 84,945 w., 18 Ch. || Olympics AU || Sherlock POV, Skier!Sherlock / Medic!John, Rivalry, 2014 Olympics, Happy Ending) – Sherlock Holmes is striving for gold in this, his fourth and final Olympics as a downhill Alpine racer.

A FAVOURITE AU: Lots I can add here, but ultimately chose an “original” AU over an I.P. AU, and the one I re-read a lot that’s not already on this list

The Horse and his Doctor by khorazir (T, 129,003 w., 13 Ch. || Horse / Vet AU || Magical Realism, Horses, Vet John, Horse Sherlock, Implied Alcoholism) – Invalided after a run in with a poacher in Siberia, veterinary surgeon John Watson finds it difficult to acclimatize to the mundanity of London life. Things change when a friend invites him along to a local animal shelter and he meets their latest acquisition, a trouble-making Frisian with the strangest eyes and even stranger quirks John has ever encountered in a horse.

A FIC I STILL REMEMBER MANY YEARS LATER: (This was one of the first Johnlock fics I’ve read, it’s a nice starter fic for the ‘ship)

The Green Blade by verityburns (T, 72,929 w., 15 Ch. || Case Fic, Bromance) – As a serial killer hits the headlines, the police are out of their depth and the next victim is out of time. With faith in Sherlock Holmes at an all time low, this is a case which will push loyalties to the limit...

A FIC THAT INSPIRES ME: I chose this fic because it makes me want to write my own meta-fic I’ve had in my head for years, and I actually started piecing together notes I’ve made over the years to write around this ficlet headcanon I wrote back when TFP came out. Probably won’t ever happen because Procrastination is one of my features, but it still inspired me anyway LOL.

The Lost Special: Family Matters (As Do Relationships) by ShirleyCarlton  (M, 144,688 w., 40 Ch. || S4 Fix It Fic / Meta Fic, Unreliable Narrator, John’s Mind Bungalow, Friends to Lovers, Happy Ending, Demisexual Sherlock, Holmes Family, John Whump, Gay Mycroft, Misunderstandings, Drug Addiction, Parenting, TFP is a Nightmare, Virgin Sherlock, Slow Burn, Minor Character Death, Switchlock, John’s Past, Sherlock’s Past, Eurus, Love Confessions) – Sherrinford is not really the name of some high security prison. That was just a figment of John’s frantic coma dream. And Eurus is not actually Sherlock’s sister. That’s just something random she said to John before shooting him. Sherlock and John were never actually estranged. That was just their act to cover up what really happened to Mary – or Rosamund Moran, as her real name has turned out to be. Sherlock does have a secret sibling, though, and his name is Sherrinford. After finally eliminating Moran – though in a rather dramatically different way than they had envisioned – and exposing the truth about Eurus, John encourages Sherlock to delve into his past and to find out whether the reasons to keep Sherrinford away from Sherlock were the right ones, and to discover what really happened in 1981. Along the way, Sherlock and John gradually, finally, stop keeping each other at a distance, and eventually become a proper family of their own.

A FIC I’VE GUSHED ABOUT IRL: (I’ve got like 4 of them, but they’re already in others spots on this list, LOL. This one I did talk about at Cons)

Corpus Hominis by mycapeisplaid (E, 47,709 w., 12 Ch. || PODFIC AVAILABLE || Case Fic, Fluff, Romance, Frottage, Angst, Anal, Blow Jobs, Rimming, Spas / Massages, Shampoo, Jealousy, Fake Relationship) - John knows the human body intimately. He’s had plenty of opportunity for study as a doctor, soldier, and lover. There’s one particular body, however, he knows very little about. When Sherlock launches himself head-first into a new obsession and they get sent on a case in an unlikely location, the pair discovers each other’s bodies with confusing yet delightful (and sometimes hilarious) results. 

A FIC THAT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD:

A COMFORT FIC:

Last Christmas by Mazarin221b (T, 3,911 w., 1 Ch. || Fluff, Pining Sherlock, First Kiss) – That Earth-shaking revelation, then, leads to a problem, and one that Sherlock realizes should be solved quickly, before John’s dates turn into girlfriends or boyfriends, because sometimes girlfriends or boyfriends can turn into wives or husbands while your back is turned. Every time John hums happily at the mirror as he shaves, splashes on a little gift cologne Mrs. Hudson bought him for Christmas, Sherlock is drawn back to that night by the fire, and the way John’s touch had made the world stand still.

He’d done his research to prepare for the rising temperatures, or at least, he thinks to himself as he sprawls a little more loosely across Hank’s couch, he thought he’d done adequate research. It had taken the better part of one of his lunch breaks to download the several thousand forms of media that had been recommended to him by Simon and Markus. But, he thinks as he plucks at his sweat-slick shirt, dissatisfied with the way it sticks to his synthetic skin, there was no way his research could have prepared him for this.

Okay, okay...in total (counting unpublished works as well)...25. BUT, but, my only published fandom works were for Mario (I was a kid and liked the Daisy/Luigi ship), Naruto, Hetalia, Sherlock, and now the Hobbit.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I try to! I want readers to feel like they can interact with me so I try to respond to everyone of them, but sometimes I get busy with things and then it’s been two weeks and I get shy.  😅

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

With? As in already written?? I would have to say Home at that point. Not true angst, but bittersweet. Out of fics I had planned to write, if I ever wrote One Last Adventure, that would definitely be the angstiest ending I will ever write. 

I’m a happy ending writer.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

Never actually written what I would perceive as a crossover. I mean I have a “Frodo in The Hobbit” type of story, but that still seems like the same universe to me. Way back in my Naruto days I had planned to write a crossover with Naruto and Soul Eater, but never happened.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Nope! And if I ever do, probably just gonna delete it.

Do you write smut?

I haven’t yet, but I’m totally ready to start experimenting with it! I have some prompts for if I reach 99 Followers with intended smut warnings, and I plan to write it into Ambassador to Madness.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don’t think so!! At least, no one has ever told me if I have.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

My sister and I tried doing this a couple of times for fun. It was good writing practice for us, but we never considered posting.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

Come on. I feel like at this point it’s totally and completely obvious.  😏 😏

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

😬 I feel so called out. Honestly, right now...Just to See You Happy is completely off the stovetop. I just don’t have the right motivation for it right now, but I don’t think this means I will “NEVER” finish it. I may pick it up again when some of these other projects are off my plate. Just...it’s very ice cold right now.

What are your writing strengths?

I have always considered dialogue and plotting/outlining to be huge strengths of mine.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Yeah, the follow through. That. That is a weakness.  😅 Also! I get super self-conscious on the whole “show don’t tell” writer advice that I am constantly re-reading and editing my works wondering “did I give enough emotional context? too much?”  😓

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

If we consider Khuzdul another language, then I love putting it in fics! I like plots centered around it, I like just the endearments and curses finding their way in fics, I like the dwarves talking over Bilbo’s head with it. YES! ALWAYS MORE!

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

This is so hard!!  😭 Okay, if I’m basing this only off works that have been completed... I think Outside My Window is my favorite. It was my first Bagginshield and very self-indulgent for a lot of different reasons.

However, based on what I have planned and partially written...I think Once Upon a Dream could surpass it as my favorite.
