The thing about Scorpia is that she’s only a villain because she’s so loyal.  I guarantee she’s never sat down and really examined what she’s doing helping the Horde.  It’s just always been what her family has done.  She’s a good, loyal daughter, so she’s going to serve in Hordak’s army.  She doesn’t question it.  And, as long as she’s loyal to Catra--who has questioned it, and decided she’s fine with oppressing Etheria--there won’t be any breaking her out of that pattern of behavior.  She’s just going to follow along and keep doing terrible things.  It’s tragic.

My gog, it’s almost a good thing all this wasn’t fresh in my mind when I came back. I figured this is probably the worst time for Scorpia to turn up, but I’m starting to realize it was actually the best time, because I’m being reminded why the Princess Alliance was great to begin with.

Okay, She-Ra loves doing shit like this. They love pairing up the plotlines.

This time, it’s Catra and Glimmer. Both are leaders trying to keep control when they don’t have any control.

Now this episode could turn either one of two ways: Glimmer comes around and they go to Beast Island for the rescue, or the Princesses defy orders and go without her. We know the King is alive and probably on Beast Island, and I’d be surprised if the writers are going to pass up the opportunity of Glimmer herself finding him, so I’m guessing the former. I could be wrong, but...

Well, back to the pairing, if Glimmer changes her mind, then Catra is going to double down.

Yeah, I have to agree. You need to save Entrapta. Even if she chooses not to help the alliance, it’s exactly what the princesses need right now.

And if she does choose to help the alliance, all princesses on their side! Is Glimmer forgetting the Power of Friendship beam in the first season that halted a Brightmoon invasion?

I mean, not that the war against the horde matters in the long run. Horde Prime is going to fuck EVERYTHING up
