I want to say it was a moment of weakness and vulnerability of losing Tina but having a “win.” That now that his money is up! Now that he’s in his bag and he’s got the biggest deal of his life, that he might as well with the woman that gave it to him.

So Starz renewed this for s2 and the Shelly storyline goes a way I did NOT expect

Hello to the newest show that did NOT disappoint me when i sensed gay subtext!

Everyone go watch MINX on HBO Max which truly has something for everyone. For the sapphics, it has Shelly (sad milf whose husband has never made her cum in 16 years) and Bambi (ex-porno model finally learning what else she’s capable of) finding love together in the sweetest way!!!

Bambi is very affectionate with her words. But I think Shelly is more affectionate through the physical. I’d imagine she loves big hugs, soft caresses, and small touches. Anything and everything in between, and Bambi, while she may be used to that in several different situations, (I’m sure some of those cults were wild as hell and she’s not shy to adventure), but I think she sees each touch from Shelly as something special to cherish forever. Each one is special and means something more because Shelly holds that something Bambi is looking for. Shelly represents a home and a family.

I just had to come and spill here really good lesbian rep because I have yet to see it and it’ll have spoilers I am so sorry.

Olay so I’ve been rewatching Minx since it got saved by Starz and the second season is barely a few months old, and I thought this might peak some people’s interested. So the show is set in 70s America during one of our most political times, with movements after movements, but it follows the 70s porn scene as it focuses on a sex magazine tailored for straight women. Anyway, the main character’s older sister, Shelly, a mid 30s housewife, is in a pleasant but passionless marriage to a rather sweet husband, and by the end of season one, she started an accidental fling with a coworker of her sister’s named Bambi (she is so sweet!), and it starts a whole new wave for her. She went from awkward and unfulfilled and ashamed, to swinging and becoming a Domme who writes her adventures, to exploring with female professors, and came out as a lesbian! And everybody accepts her! She is a loving mom and still good friends with her ex, but she is nuanced and flawed and has so much character and charm for herself as her own person. And she’s a late bloomer lesbian! How many of those do we get to see where they’re still their own people and not just tied to their relationship to a lover? Its a overall sex positive show, and while mostly focused on straight and phallic things, it was a pleasant surprise and I love her so much.
