All the lights in the loft are out, the moonlight bathing what little furniture was spread across the room. Derek is lying on his back staring at the ceiling as he has done multiple times during the last month. The apartment has never been quieter than now, not even the mice are squeaking as they make their way around the beams.

Stiles, the last of the pack to leave, has been gone for exactly 40 hours and Derek already regrets not saying anything.

But what could he have said that would change things? Stiles had been in love with Lydia for ages, Derek knew that. Whatever kind of banter Stiles and him had, didn’t mean anything.

so i just had a life-changing eureka moment that i thought i would tell you about (and subsequently embarrass myself by doing so) because it is kind of funny. this entire time, being mutuals but also following your work on ao3, i always interpreted your handle to be jesusisgrace, just without the extra s. because it kind of made sense in my head. but every single time, the “jesus” part would throw me off because i was like, “wow, i can’t believe i just read smut like that by someone called jesusisgrace” but i figured maybe it was ironic

i was raised catholic, so the idea that my ao3 name (where i write all the gay porns and read ALL THE FILTH) would be jesus-is-grace is simply delightful.

no embarrassment needed, you are not the first to think my a03 name is jesus or jesus-adjacent. but it's just grace! my ao3 is "i am grace" in french (it's actually a weird play on words i'm a language nerd whatever whatever) and my tumblr is i'm grace in romanian.

And you just know, from the very beginning, that’s the boy the main character is going to fall for. No one can resist the injured eyes and the romanticized nihilism, certainly not a nobody who can never garner a second glance from anyone.

For a moment, Stiles is struck with the thought that, were they any other two people on the planet, he would have loved Derek. Could have envisioned something real with him. Stiles fiddles with his seatbelt strap to avoid thinking that. That he is the main character.

or: Stiles can see ghosts and Talia Hale’s appearance in his living room makes things really fucking complicated.

As Stiles takes a deep breath and walks away from the door, each step making Derek's ribcage rattle with a sense of dread he'd rather not think about, Derek tells himself that this is what he wants. For Stiles to be away from him. For him to stay away from Stiles.

This is the last thing I wrote for part 2 of my latest series, following this fic of mine - Early Morning 'Like' Confessions. The WIP is set a few years after the first part took place, and is definitely more angsty. But it has a happy ending, don't worry!

OOOOOOOOOOH such a good question it's so hard to pick three OH JEEZ but here i'll try

@jbbarnes is an incredible writer. they can write the most poetic, soft, sweet, domestic fluff to angst that will rip your heart out, to wonderful character explorations and just GAH they're so good. they've written in a bunch of fandoms and i'm not being dramatic when I say I love everything they write. Radio Nowhere is just one of my favorite fics ever, period. I fell in love with their writing because of gospel, for the fallen ones. i got to read spit the blood back way before y'all did and i have loved it since it was just an idea 😍. this is me trying is really tough but so, so good. and obviously i'm in love with bite 'verse. ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/users/Poe/pseuds/Poe

I have done this once already!!! But that was a while ago, and I now have more fics under my belt (92 in total!!) so I guess the answers will be different. Let's see :D

1. New Day, New Time

Teen Wolf | Stiles Stilinski/Derek Hale | 810w

This is a prequel fic to one of my older fics, and I love the Dystopian vibe of it and what I have in mind for this series—this is a time-travel fic wherein Stiles and Derek both travel back in time for the greater good.

I love time-travel fix-it fics, and there can never be enough of them!!

2. Begin Again

Teen Wolf | Sterek | 747w

(and no, before you ask, the title wasn't inspired by TS, though how I missed that idk. Anais pointed this out to me 😂)

This is set in a vague future, post-canon, wherein Derek finally accepts that he should try to live his life. That maybe he should finally give in to what is brewing between himself and Stiles.

I love the imagery I somehow managed to capture for this fic. And it also makes me immensely happy when Derek heals, moves on. I just want him to he happy 🥺

3. You've Got Living To Do

Just like the previous one, the imagery & symbolisms and Derek on the road to getting better are two things I love about this fic as well.
